Part of a field name in receiver determination

Hi All,
  I want to find the value of part of a field name in order to use for receiver determination.
For Ex: Four characters starting from 10th position
Is this possible in XI? if yes how?
Regards,
Dinakar

Hi Prasad,
   You can write a XPATH query in the condition editor of the Rx Determination.

  • How to give field name to Receiver File Name.

    Hi ,
    In my source target structure there is a field name
    "job id" .
    I need that value coming in that field name to be given to
    Receiver File Name.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
    You could use the field name to the File Name. For that you could go ahead with variable substituiton in receiver communication channel.
    In receiver Communication channel use variable substitution as
    In file name -- %Var1%
    In Variable substitution parameter give Var1 ---> payload:<field Name>

  • Condition check (based on sender file name) at receiver determination step

    Hi,
    My scenario is File to AS2 (Sender side file adapter and receiver side AS2 adapter)
    We have 5 customers, but the source location is same to pick the files, Here we are not using any ESR objects.
    Based on the source file name PI need to determine to whoom this file need to send at receiver determination step
    Craeted objects
    1 Sender CC,
    1 Sender agreement,
    1 Receiver determination
    5 Interface determinations
    5 Receiver agreements
    5 Receiver CCs.
    Could you please provide me your valuable inputs.
    Thanks
    Ramesh

    Hi Venkataramesh,
    I understand your scenario as, picking files (different file naming standard for different target customer) from one source folder. Based on file name, that payload should be sent to corresponding target customer. You have mentioned u201CHere we are not using any ESR objectsu201D. I can see two reasons for this decision
    1. PI is used to route the messages, i.e., no need to transform the payload. OR
    2. Files can binary files like PDF, ZIP, JPG, GIFu2026
    Now I can see two possible solutions
    1.     Simple solution, as proposed by u201CPrabhu Rajesh Janardananu201D, make it into 5 different scenarios  (5 sender channels).
    2.     Bit complex solution, only one sender channel, using extended receiver determination
    Step 1:- In Sender File channel check u201CAdapter u2013 Specific Message Adapteru201D in Advanced tab. File Name should be checked.
    Step 2:- In Receiver Determination, Select Type of Receiver Determination as u201CExtendedu201D. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/48/ce2a423a8e5430e10000000a42189b/frameset.htm
    Step 3:- Do a Graphical Mapping (use it Operation Mapping in Receiver Determination).
    Step 4:-
    Source and target of graphical mapping will be same (below), because you donu2019t want to access input payload (it can be XML, flat file, JGP, GIF and you donu2019t have its structure).
    <Receivers>
       <Receiver>
          <Party agency="" scheme=""></Party>
          <Service></Service>
       </Receiver>
    </Receivers>
    Step 5:- Write a UDF in Graphical mapping as below. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/43/03612cdecc6e76e10000000a422035/frameset.htm Pay attention to method declaration
    public String Determine_Receiver( Container container) throws StreamTransformationException
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create(u201Chttp://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Fileu201D,u201CFileNameu201D);
    String valueOld = conf.get(key);
    //Put your logic here
    if (valueOld.equal(u201Cuser1u201D)) {
    return u201Cuser1u201D;}
    if (valueOld.equal(u201Cuser2u201D)) {
    return u201Cuser2u201D;}
    if (valueOld.equal(u201Cuser3u201D)) {
    return u201Cuser3u201D;}
    Step 6: Now use this UDF to map to u201CReceiveru201D and u201C Serviceu201D.
    This solution need more fine tuning.

  • BPM Receiver Determination

    Hi
    I have a interface where I need to call the Different SAP systems depending on the URL input field which I am getting from database.I have defined the BPM process as
    Rec step to receive the input field
    Synchronous to call the database
    Send step to send the database fields to BAPI
    Receiver Determination step**Do we need a receiver determination to define the condition for URL or can we define in config if we have define in BPM what properties I need to define*********
    Synchronous step to call BAPI
    BAPI is common in all systems so I just imported one BAPI and have done the mapping.
    Thanks in Advance

    Better to post it in the XI forum.

    hi friends
    i have designed a scenario for JDBC to RFC and while testing that scenario at configuration part i found the error that  "receiver determination is not found"  i also tested with file to file scenario and found the same error . can anyone suggest how to overcome this error and what might be the error.

    Hi Dadapure sharmishta,
    Have you provided any conditions in the receiver determination? In that case make it sure that the condition is getting satisfied. Also check if all the objects are activated. Check the sxi_cache for cache related issues.

  • "Find and Replace" for field names in a fillable PDF

    Is it possible to do a "Find and Replace" for the field names in a fillable PDF? For example, I have multiple fields that contain the word "Proposed Insured" as part of the field name and would like to find and replace all of them with "Owner". Is there an easy way to do this?

    Not really. Even a script can't just rename a field. It needs to create a
    new field on top of the old one, but then you lose all the associated
    settings, like validation, calculation, format, keystroke, etc.

  • How to display the field name in the tabulated view for a content query web part

    I have added a content query web part changed the web part file to include custom columns imported and reffered itemstyle.xsl
    to include the tabulated view for the content query.
    However the way it is displayed is such that only the content is displayed.
    As i am using a tabular view wto display the data, i want to display their field names as well.

    Hi  ,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you need to display the field in the tabulated view for a content query web part.
    For your issue, please refer to the code as below:
    <xsl:template name="VendorCustomStyle" match="Row[@Style='VendorCustomStyle']" mode="itemstyle">
    <html>
    <table width="100%">
    <xsl:if test="count(preceding-sibling::*)=0">
    <tr>
    <td width="8%" valign="top"><div class="item"><b>Vendor ID</b></div></td>
    <td width="12%" valign="top"><div class="item"><b>Vendor Name</b></div></td>
    <td width="50%" valign="top"><div class="item"><b>Vendor Description</b></div></td>
    <td width="10%" valign="top"><div class="item"><b>Vendor Country</b></div></td>
    <td width="10%" valign="top"><div class="item"><b>Vendor Date</b></div></td>
    <td width="10%" valign="top"><div class="item"><b>Created By</b></div></td>
    </tr>
    </xsl:if>
    <tr>
    <td width="8%" valign="top"><div class="item"><xsl:value-of select="@VendorID" /></div></td>
    <td width="12%" valign="top"><div class="item"><xsl:value-of select="@Title" /></div></td>
    <td width="50%" valign="top"><div class="item"><xsl:value-of select="@Vendor_x005F_x0020_Description" disable-output-escaping="yes" /></div></td>
    <td width="10%" valign="top"><div class="item"><xsl:value-of select="@Vendor_x005F_x0020_Country" /></div></td>
    <td width="10%" valign="top"><div class="item"><xsl:value-of select="@Vendor_x005F_x0020_Date" /></div></td>

  • File name based routing in Receiver determination

    Hi experts,
    I have a requirement to do receiver determination based on file names which are dynamic.To put it clearely, i will be having two files in my source File location and i need to route it based on the file name to two target systems.
    The file name are like Month(changes everymonth)_TargetSys1 and month_targetSys2.
    I dont need any conversions ,so i am not using any IR objects.
    To pick files i kept *.txt in sender channel, and in receiver determination  condition i was trying to use context object called 'Filename'.But it doesnt work asthe file name changes every month.
    Is there any option to take substring from the input file name (say targetSys2 from month_targetSys2.) and put it as a condition for receiver determination.
    There is not DT or structure of the incoming file , as there are no modification to be done with the content.
    Regards,
    Anika

    you need to have the structure in case you want to route it via the xpath.
    Else another option is to code the enhanced receiver determination and using a java mapping with dynamic configuration read the filename and then dynamically create the receiver determination.

  • Condition editor in receiver determination does not show payload fields

    Hi !
    We are trying to create some conditions for the receiver determination in a RFC->XI->File scenario, but when we open the condition editor, under the XPATH option we do not set any payload fields to create conditions!!
    Any clues?
    Thanks,
    Matias.

    Hi,
    Check in SLD if your software component is installed on your business system and then clear SLD cache in ID.
    You will see interfaces assigned to your business system and also the payload fields in condition editor

  • How to compare two fields in condition editor in receiver determination

    Hello,
    Is it possible to compare to fields frrom the source in the condition editor of Receiver Determination?
    Because on the right hand operand we can specify only constants right and not the source field.
    For eg: If field1 != field2 then Reciever =  Receiver1
    Thanks,
    Loveena

    In standard receiver determination while defining the condition, you can only specify an element from the message payload using expression editor to create an expression for the left operand and you must specify a fixed value in the right operand, against which the value of the element will be compared at runtime. You can use only these (=,, ,EX) operators. So the functionalities are limited.
    so you have to use Enhanced Receiver Determination, In this Instead of creating the receivers in the receiver determination manually, you assign an Interface mapping to the receiver determination and this returns a list of receivers at runtime.

  • How to know received quantity field names  in MM

    HI
    I know that purchase order quantity can be found from EKPO-MENGE. Is there a field name for PO quantity received in time and PO received late.
    Received late is when the goods is received after the planned delivery date.
    thanks

    Hi,
    I resolved it by extracting the data from PO history table (EKBE).
    In 2LIS_02_SCL extractor, I wrote a used exit that extracted PO quantity from EKBE table and compare the delivery date from table EKET.

  • Field names for cl_alv_table_create= create_dynamic_table

    Morning All
    My client is currently implementing SAP QM at one of the labs and I have come across a situation where the fieldnames required for a dynamic table creation can potentially contain spaces and special characters.  So far I have urged them to remove all such characters as the call to the cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table method will dump if they are present.
    My question therefore is, is there a definitive list of characters that cannot be used as part of a fieldname?  I intend to use such a list to then search and replace the special characters to enable me to match fieldnames.
    For those of you that know QM, we cannot use internally assigned numbers for master characteristics (client decision) and special characters are frequently used as names in the lab.  My client sees it as a limitation to remove the spaces and special characters from the names but unfortunately it causes problems for me if they don't.
    I need to match the names to determine results for a report so substition seems to be the way forward - unless some else has another suggestion?
    Thanks in advance
    Ian

    There is a form called SAACHECK in module pool RDDU0001 that the data dictionary program uses to check the validity of field names.  You should probably have a look at the logic.
    But why use the Master characteristics as the field name anyway?  Why not instead create a cross reference in an internal table and generate a simple sequence for each unique master characteristic.  That way your field names are just the sequence number, but you can still match up your data with a binary read on the cross reference internal table.
