Party setup in XI

Hi
Please let me know for Party setup in XI.
How to use Party in Receiver Aggreement's Header Mapping.
Pls send me blogs if some one has done the same as above.
Regards

Hi Rachit,
>>File to Idoc party scenario
Yes it can be justified to use party here. If you don't have receiver partner as a logical system (ie LS) then it is advisable to use party
>>File to Abap Server Proxy scenario
Why do you need a party in this case? I guess this shoudl be done with the normal Business Component
>>Pls send me blogs for do the complete party setup in Integartion Directory
I dont think you will find one which explains how to do file to idoc and file to proxy using parties.. You should take the understanding from available party blogs and create your interfaces. Also you can post in SDN if you are stuck with some problem .But instead if you are planning to wait for someone to point you to a ready made solution then best of luck. I hope you will get one soon.

  • SAP PI Party setup IDoc - HTTP: no receiver agreement found

    Hi,
We have setup SAP IDoc -> SAP PI --> HTTP with 2 parties, as described in the the 'HOW..TO Sample IDoc - XI scenario's' case 7:
For the clarity of the example, the sender at our side is 'AAA', and the receiver side is 'BBB'.
    1. Sender Party
    Agency -
    Scheme -
    Name
    http://sap/com/xi/XI -
    XIParty -
    PA_AAA
    BS_BBB    -
    ALE#LI -

    2. Receiver Party
    Agency -
    Scheme -
    Name

    XIParty -
    PA_BBB
    AD2_200 (SAP system) -
    ALE#KU -
    DE217560
The other components in XI are as follows:
    3. Business component: PA_BBB | BS_BBB (party and Business System)
    4. Receiver determination: sender AD2_200, receiver party: PA_BBB, receiver component: BS_BBB
    5. Receiver agreement: sender AD2_200, receiver party: PA_BBB, receiver component: BS_BBB
Header mapping: sender comm party: PA_AAA, receiver comm party: PA_BBB
    6. Communication channel (HTTP):  CC_HTTP_RCV_BBB
        Identifiers: sender agency: BS_BBB ALE#LI, receiver agency: BS_BBB ALE#KU
When we send an IDoc with SNDPRN=AD2_200, RCVPRN=DE217560, RCVPRT=KU, SAPXI doesn't seem to find receiver determination, iinterface determination and receiver agreement

Can someone explain why these parties have to be indicated in all these different places (the party descriptions, the receiver agreement, the communication channel), and why the receive determination with receiver party PA_BBB is not found, although it is created and refreshed in the cache ?

I am also facing same issue when using 2 parties. Could you please let me know if you got solution for this?

  • Third party setup and config softs, utils and tools.

    Hello everyone,
I found, as expected, a lot of If-Then-ElseIfs in setting up servers, sure there's the worksheets, hords of PDF and Docs, video trainings, but what's more interactive?
Example: For FileMaker Pro, there are third party softwares like WiM's Analyzer which gives new insights to FMP.
Where are compared sets of soft, utils and tools for Mac OS X Server Tiger and/or Leopard?
I searched out but still feel I haven't found the "Why did I not get this in the first place" list of things.

Maybe my question is too general or the answers already on the web.
My best wish is to find a software in which that I could drag and drop computers, airports, other switches and OSes and click on it to configure in order to design networks, server and clients, Mac, Win and friends.
    The Visio cousin somehow.
I received Leopard server today. Oh joy!

  • Reg: Third Party Flow Setup

    Hi Guru,
i need Customizing and flow of Transaction for the Third Party setup Document. please provide the valid information on this.
    Thanks

    THIRD PARTY SCENARIO
In third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. A sales order may consist partly or wholly of third-party items. Occasionally, you may need to let a vendor deliver items you would normally deliver yourself.
    Process Flow
The processing of third-party orders is controlled via material types. Material types define whether a material is produced only internally, can be ordered only from third-party vendors, or whether both are possible. For example, a material that is defined as a trading good can only be ordered from a third-party vendor. However, if you manufacture your own finished products, you may also want, from time to time, to be able to order the same type of product from other vendors.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Sales
Third-party items can be created automatically by the system, depending on how your system is set. However, you can also change a standard item to a third-party item during sales processing manually.
    Automatic third-party order processing
If a material is always delivered from one or more third-party vendors, you can specify in the material master that the material is a third-party item. During subsequent sales order processing, the system automatically determines the appropriate item category for a third-party item: TAS. To specify a material as a third-party item, enter BANS in the Item category group field in the Sales 2 screen of the material master record.
    Manual third-party order processing
In the case of a material that you normally deliver yourself but occasionally need to order from a third-party vendor, you can overwrite the item category during sales order processing. For a material that you normally deliver yourself, you specify the item category group NORM in the material master.
If, as an exception, you use a third-party material, change the entry TAN to TAS in the ItCa field when processing the sales document. The item is then processed as third-party item.
If address data for the ship-to party is changed in the sales order in third-party business transactions, the changed data will automatically be passed on to purchase requisition and also to the purchase order ,if one already exists. In the purchase order, you can display the address data for the ship-to party in the attributes for the item.
You can only change the address data for the ship-to party in the sales order for third-party business transactions, and not in the purchase order.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Purchasing
When you save a sales order that contains one or more third-party items, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition in Purchasing. Each third-party item in a sales order automatically generates a corresponding purchase requisition item. During creation of the requisition, the system automatically determines a vendor for each requisition item. If a sales order item has more than one schedule line, the system creates a purchase requisition item for each schedule line.
Purchase orders are created from purchase requisitions in the usual way. For more information about creating purchase orders, see the Purchasing documentation. During creation of the purchase order, the system automatically copies the delivery address of your customer from the corresponding sales order. In a sales order, you can enter purchase order texts for each third-party item. When you create the corresponding purchase order, the texts are automatically copied into the purchase order. The number of the purchase order appears in the document flow information of the sales order.
All changes made in the purchase order are automatically made in the sales order as well. For example, if the vendor confirms quantities and delivery dates different from those you request and enters them in the purchase order, the revised data is automatically copied into the sales order
You process third-party items by creating a normal sales order. In overview for the order, you can then overwrite the default item category (TAN in the standard system) with the special item category for third-party items: TAS
    Billing Third-Party Orders
If relevance for billing indicator for the item category has been set to B (relevant for order-related billing on the basis of the order quantity) in Customizing, the system includes the order in the billing due list immediately. If, however, the indicator has been set to F (relevant to order-related billing on the basis of the invoice quantity), the system does not include the order in the billing due list until an invoice from the vendor has been received and processed by the purchasing department. In the standard system, item category TAS (third-party order processing) has been given billing-relevance indicator F.
In the first case, the third-party order is considered to be completely billed only when the invoiced quantity equals the order quantity of the sales order item. In the second case, each time a vendor invoice is received, a customer invoice is created for the quantity in the vendor invoice and the order is considered to be fully invoiced until the next vendor invoice is received.
If you have activated billing-relevance indicator F for item categories in Customizing, billing can refer to the goods receipt quantity instead of the incoming invoice quantity.
You can control whether the invoice receipt quantity or the quantity of goods received is relevant for billing in Customizing for copying control for billing at item level.
FOR YOUR PROCESS Individual Purchase Orders WELL GIVE THE RIGHT SOLUTION
Individual purchase orders are used when your customer orders goods from you that are not in stock and must be ordered from one or more external vendors.
    Process Flow
During sales order entry, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition item. The purchasing department creates a purchase order based on the requisition and the vendor ships the goods directly to you (unlike third party order processing, where the vendor ships directly to your customer). You then ship the goods to your customer. While the goods are part of your inventory, you manage them as part of the sales order stock. Sales order stock consists of stock that is assigned to specific sales orders and cannot be used for other purposes.
Goods receipt will be posted when ever the vendor ships the goods to our customer.
We will do this transaction in SAP using MIGO.
Invoice receipt is done when the Vendor sends us the invoice.. ( I.e Billing ).
It can be done using MIRO.
THe above two steps are standard and manual. There are many other ways that the actual process can happen. If the client follows EDI standards then the Goods receipt and Invoice receipt can be done through IDOCs automatically.
Process Flow for 3rd Party Sales
Customize the third party sales in summary:
    Prerequisites for 3rd party sales,
    Purchasing org,
    purchasing group,
assign the Purchase org to company code
    assign Purchase org to plant,
should not maintain the stock in material, it should be trading goods,
    1. Create Vendor XK01
    2. Create Material – Material Type as "Trading Goods". Item category group as "BANS".
    3. Assign Item Category TAS to Order type that you are going to use.
    4. A sale order is created and when saved a PR is generated at the background
    5. With reference to SO a PO is created (ME21N). The company raises PO to the vendor.
    6. Vendor delivers the goods and raises bill to company. MM receives the invoice MIRO
    7. Goods receipt MIGO
    8. Goods issue
    9. The item cat TAS or Schedule line cat CS is not relevant for delivery which is evident from the config and, therefore, there is no delivery process attached in the whole process of Third party sales.

Third party order processing is as follows:
    Assume three companies X, Y and Z
    X - The company,
    y - The customer
    Z - Vendor
When ever X gets a PO from Y to supply some goods, X has an option of either manufacturing those goods or procuring those goods.
If he is procuring the goods, there are two methods that are generally followed:
Method 1) After receiving the PO from Y, X creates a sales order against Y.
Now at the same time he also creates a PO to a vendor Z to produce the goods
Z produces the goods and supplies to X
X receives the goods from Z
Then X delivers the same goods to Y.
    After that X invoices Y and Z invoices X.
Note : Here there is no direct/ Indirect relation between Z and Y.
This process is known as Trading Process. and the Material here is created with Material type HAWA.
The other method is a Third party order processing method:
Here the glaring difference is that instead of Z supplying the material to X and X in turn supplying the same material to Y.
X authorizes Z to supply the material to Y on his behalf and notify him once the delivery is complete.
Now Z supplies the material to Y and acknowledges the same to X.
Z will send a copy of delivery acknowledgement and invoice to X.
After receiving the delivery confirmation and invoice from Z, X has to verify the invoice and this process is known as invoice verification and is done in SAP through Tcode MIRO.
The next step for X is to create an invoice and submit to Y
Only after the invoice verification document is posted then only X can create an invoice for Y.
This is the business flow that is followed for third party order configuration.
There are few steps that have to be configured to enable the system to function as mentioned above.
    Step1)
If you are always following a third party process for a material then you have to create the material using item category group BANS.
The procurement type should be marked as External procurement (F) in MRP 2 view of the material master record.
if you are not always allowing third party order processing then u can create a material master record with item category group as NORM and the procurement type should be marked as ( X) meaning both types of procurement ( in house manufacturing and external procurement).
    Step 2)
the item category in the order should be manually changed as TAS.
For that you need to configure the item category determination
Order type + item cat Group + Usage + High level = Item cat + Manual item cat
    OR + NORM + + = TAN + TAS
    OR + BANS + + = TAS
    Step 3)
make sure that during the item category configuration for TAS you need to mark relevant for billing indicator as F
    step 4)
The schedule line category for this type should be CS.
make sure that you mark subsequent type as NB - purchase requisition in this schedule line category as this will trigger the purchase requisition order immediately after the creation of the sales order and the PO to vendor is created against this purchase requisition.

  • No Receiver Agreement found - IDOC RCVPRN = Party

    Hello,
I have created all the receiver agreements required and they are in the configuration scenario.
I have a receiver determination that is using the IDOC vendor number (RCVPRN) to determine the party for delivering purchase orders and another RD with the same config for delivering po changes.
In tests my POs are sending successfully and my PO Changes are failing even though they use the same party setup/config.  In SXMB_MONI I can see that the receiver determination for the POs are creating the correct party:
    PO Results:
    <SAP:Party agency="http://sap.com/xi/XI" scheme="XIParty">Ventura</SAP:Party>
But the PO Changes seem unable to connect the vendor number to the party:
    PO Change Results:
    <SAP:Party agency="http://sap.com/xi/XI" scheme="XIParty">0000557129</SAP:Party>
In the sample above the party Ventura is set up under the party identifiers as follows:
    Agency:
    http://sap.com/xi/XI
    http://stc.com/pi/SAPR3
    Scheme:
    XIParty
    Vendor
    Name:
    Ventura
    0000557129
How is it that PI 7.10 is getting the same value in RCVPRN and assigning the Party correctly in one case and incorrectly in another?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Matt

Sometimes you just need to walk a way for a day or two...  I rechecked the standard configurations over and over.  But I didn't review the Party Extended selection.  In the Receiver Determination I chose to use RCVPRN to identify the Party but upon further investigation I realized I was using the wrong scheme and agency on the Party extension.
So my party had the following:
    Agency:
    http://sap.com/xi/XI
    http://stc.com/pi/SAPR3
    Scheme:
    XIParty
    Vendor
    Name:
    Ventura
    0000557129
My Receiver Determination was not using http://stc.com/pi/SAPR3 Vendor 0000557129 to determine the Party it was attempting to use http://sap.com/xi/SI XIParty Ventura.  So it was unable to find a matchinig party using the Vendor Numbers.
    Thanks for all the help.

  • Migration of our reports from Streamserve to XML publisher in Oracle EBS

    Dear All,
I am working for a company using Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2 and we have several critical reports developped with Streamserve V3 (Customer Invoice , Sales Order Acknowledgment, Shipping Advice, PO layout, ...).
For various reasons we plan to abandon Streamserve and migrate to XML publisher or BI publisher whose functionalities seem to cover most of our needs.
However, my knowledge of XMLP/BIP is quite basic and I need some information on how to implement the reports.
I will be very glad and grateful if someone accepts to share his/her experience by answering a few questions :
    1) What are the main differences between the XML publisher version included in APPS 11.5.10.2 and the standalone version of BI publisher ?
    2) In most of our reports the language depends on the third party (vendor, customer, carrier, ...) so in the same report batch we can have some documents to be printed in English, while some other should be in French.
Is it possible to achieve that with XMLP or is the language to be chosen when submitting the concurrent request ?
    3) As for languages, the delivery of the document (email or printed paper) depends also on the third party.
Is it possible in a same batch to have some documents emailed and other not ?
    4) The bursting engine seems to be the main solution to manage the way documents are delivered.
    a) How can we automatically launch it after the main request completion ? (most of our reports are scheduled to run periodically)
    b) Is it possible to make bursting with a dynamically generated control file ?
    c) What if the bursting engine does not couver all our needs ? Is there a way to develop our own deliver logic ? If so, where to find a step by step procedure to achieve that ? (knowing that we are newbies in Java language)
    5) Some of our reports must be generated in PCL rather than PDF. I think that is not native in XMLP so what may be the workaround ?
Thanks in advance for your very helpfull answers.
    Best regards
    Karim Helali
    Paris, France

Thank you Steven for your quick reply.
    Here are my comments/precisions :
    1) What we would like to konw is what are the functionnalities included only in that standalone version. This way we can decide if it is worth paying the quite expensive extra licence for BIP or if the EBS version of XMLP is enough for us.
I tried out to find this quite basic information without success. If anyone can indicate an oracle reference document
    2) I know that the language is chosen via the template. Also, when you submit an XMLP concurrent request in EBS you have to choose which template to apply for the layout. So it looks like it is not posssible within a unique concurrent request to generate documents in more than one language. Is it so or am I missing something ?
    3) Regarding documents multiple delivery management, I undertsand that we can do it either with bursting engine or with specific JAVA code implementing XMLP APIS. Even we are newbies in JAVA, we can deal with that. But I am quite puzzled as I find nowhere a document that explains how to develop that and especially how to integrate this within EBS.
Let me explain you our current logic with Streamserve and let me know how this can be implemented within XMLP :
    - a report is setup in EBS as Executable type = SqlPlus / Output Type=PDF
    - the SQLPLUS scripts takes into account the user request's parameters and generate an XML(like) file including all the data
    - at the end the SQLPLUS calls a specific shell that runs the Streamserve step : the XML file is passed to the specific streamserve binary report wich generates several outputs (global PDF for the concurrent request output + global PCL flow sent to the printer queue + 0-n physical file(s) for archiving + 0-n email(s) sent ...)
    - The language and delivery modes are not unique within a batch: they are decided per document in the streamserve binary report (based on third party setup included in the XML data file). So we don't need to launch a report batch per language or delivery mode.
I think such process should be possible using XMLP java APIS but I am quite stuck as I don't know how to start. Has anyone implemented such a global process in EBS with XML ?
    Thanks again

  • ICloud does not work with Thunderbird 7.0.1.  Any resolution?

Migrated to iCloud from MobileMe and reset imap server and password on Thunderbird per Apple guidnace (article HT4864) for third party setup.  Does not accept password or reach server.  Webmail access to iCloud via browser works fine, so password is correct.  Any resolution or ideas?  Thunderbird worked fine with MobileMe.  Can I go back to MobileMe until Apple gets this figured out?  (windows 7 prof, TB 7.0.1)

You see, that happens if one does not read the famous "minimum system requirements". They are not stated for joy and fun.
    In other words :
on OSX Lion  you must use iCal/Adress Book/ Apple Mail
on Windows Vista and Win7 you must use Outlook 2007 or 2010.
"Thunderbird" is just some "other" clients. And it is nowhere written that it is supported. Just like nowhere is written that XP or some older OSX is supported. Nex time read the requirements better.

  • Oops! I think I broke it!!

I've been using AE for a little while with no real problems.
I deactivated my suite (due to another programs bug) & reinstalled AI. For some reason this has upset the AE installation where the exe was no longer on my drive but also couldn't uninstall (just hang my pc). I reinstalled AE (re-entering serial) and all no works.
They only problem (I have noticed) is that on every start AE tries to "instal additional files formats and effects", locking the program for a couple of minutes before failing and continuing as normal.
I have ran the Third Party setup which completes and reports that it has been succesfully installed previously.
Any ideas as its very annoying.
Master Suite CS4, Win Vista 32bit.
    Thanks

What exactly did you do with your install? Did you reinstall using the suite installer? Uninstall the whole suite before that? I'm not clear what you realyl did. By all accounts, suites should always be completely reinstalled. The so-called "repair" mode simply doesn't work reliably. I suggest you simply uninstall, run the CS4 Clean Script from the support pages and reinstall from scratch.

  • Access Denied to certian accounts

    Morning All,
I am hoping to implement our "funds research" department into the CRM world to allow for contact management and tracking of progress through the funds opportunities lifecycle (sales stage). What i was hoping to do is remove access to view this information for multiple roles depending on a Picklist value.
If the value = Adviser or dealergroup everyone can view this information.
If the value = Funds manager then only a selected role can view this page and associated contact.
The reason i need to restrict access is that the funds management screen will include legal agreements that not everyone should be able to access.
Has anyone done something similar or know if it is possible?

JE - We had the same issue and used an external party to host the attachments.
The external party setup 2 search filters 1 where otpy ID = xxx and dept = A and 2 opty ID=xxx and dept A and B. They then sent those back to us as URL's. We setup a workflow that requested the URL's be setup when a new otpy was created.
When the attachments were uploaded they had to assign a dept of A or B to them.
I then used the page layouts to display the 1st URL for those who couldnt' access some attachments and the 2nd URL for those who could see all the attachments.
It was the only successful way to enforce visibility security around attachments. We did look at password protecting the docs before they were uploaded but they did not even want the restricted persons to see the attachment link.
You could maybe try the same solution with windows domain security and network drives? It didn't work for us as we had different domains and locations but it might work for you.

  • How to update GS08 segment

Hi - in current process the output file I am receiving is set with GS08 segment as '005010X212A2'.
I need to update that value to '005010X221A1'.
I tried going in the Party Setup, and under envelope updated GS08 to '005010X221A1' but its not updating
and the same old value is generated in output file.
Please suggest, what else do I need to do to update this GS08 value ?
    MBH

The values for the GS data elements are determined based upon the combination of the Transaction Set Identifier (ST1), the version, and the target namespace of the message. So, the GS08 will be picked from the envelope only when the these settings are
matching with those in Envelopes page. Please cross verify that.
Check How the EDI Assembler Works
Also, what is the value in GS08 of the "Default" entry in Envelope? Try changing it to "005010X221A1" and see what happens. This will let us know if the values are being picked from the "Default" or not.

  • Disable EDI validations in BizTalk 2009

    Hi,
I have a requirement to disable EDI validations in BizTalk 2009. The requirement is to capture and store the XML messages that will be used to render the CMS1500 or UB04 claim forms later on. I was thinking to have a very basic pipeline with EDI Disassembler,
turn off the validation properties and a send port that subscribes to the XML message generated by the receive pipeline. Since the TP agreement takes precedence over the EDI Disassembler pipeline component properties, my 837 file is failing in the receive
pipeline for syntax. Unfortunately I can't disable EDI Validation at the Party level since the party setup is used by the production process that sends claims to the mainframe system. Even with EDI validation turned off, I read that there are still some validations
that is performed. Is there a way to completely turn off EDI validation? In other words turn off SNIP Level 1 and 2 validations? Failed message routing is not an option since it routes entire Transaction set with the failed message. Any better options available
to achieve my requirement? Really appreciate some guidance on this.
    Thanks.

Thank you for the reply, boatseller. If a message fails syntax in production, 999 is generated and send out to the TP. But there are some small shops/individual providers who directly submit claims to the Payer. These small shops may not to know to how to
interpret a -ve 999. So we need to report back to them on a paper claim. That's why the need to capture and store the XML message.
Were you leaning towards subscribing to the failed messages in production? There could be multiple claims with in a given ST. Won't the failed message include the entire transaction set, even if there is only one bad claim? Worse case scenario, I was thinking
about having a custom schema with all enumerations and length requirements relaxed. I think that requires a separate path, correct?

  • Any benefit to working in 1080i if iDVD won't burn it?

Working on a 2 yr. old Macbook Pro and iMovie HD 6.03 is there any benefit to opening a new project in 1080i vs. DV? From most of what I've read iDVD compresses to MPEG-2 thereby canceling any benefit of HD anyhow, is this correct? What was the point of iMovie offering such an option if the bundled software (iDVD) does not support it? I've started a project in 1080i and while it looks much better than DV it also renders every element (photos, video, transitions) very, very slowly. If there is no output benefit I don't want to work in such a slow environment. Thanks for any input.

iMvers6 allows to export HiDef-projects back to tape/HDV.
or, you want to deliver via web.. (e.g. me.com)
or, you deliver to AppleTV, PS3 etc
or, you have a 3rd party setup (Toast, ext. BR-burner) to create BluRay disks

  • Third party dropshipment process and system setup

    Hi gentlemen,
I have a few question to check with you.
1 - What is the difference between Third Party Shipment, and Third Party Drop Shipment in term of process?
2 - What is the system setup requirement for Third Party Drop shipment (I know TAS is require for 3rd party, but what about 3rd party drop shipment)?
    thanks
    tuff

    Hi Tuffy,
I did'nt quite get the context of what you mean by third party in this case. Is it a third party delivery which uses TAS item cat on the sales order.
Or we have scenarios where order is done by for example my company but there is an external ware house which receives my dleivery number probably through EDI who does the shipment and confirms back to SAP to trigger PGI.
Drop shipment in general business terms is used reduce the cost of inventory stocking. Like I just take orders and book it to a company, they do the shipment to the address I mention ( this goes as part of ship to party address ). Since the company does not from who all I can book orders they just maintain a drop ship customer.
