Pass pop up html content to form

Hi,
Is it possible to do the following
1. pressing the button in oracle form pops up a html.
2. users input the some value in the input text of the html.
3. press close button in the html will close the window and assign the value
to the text item of the oracle form.
Best Regards,
Ivan

Is it possible to do the following
1. pressing the button in oracle form pops up a
html. Yes, see the WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT() built-in in the Forms help documenation.
2. users input the some value in the input text of
the html.Yes, but this is done inside the HTML page.
3. press close button in the html will close the
window and assign the value to the text item of the oracle form.This might be possible, but you would have to write a custom PJC that interacts with JavaScript. I've known applets outside of Forms to interact with JavaScript, so I'm assuming that a custom PJC can do it too. But I've never done it, and you are in uncharted territory.

  • Query regarding passing parameters from HTML to oracle forms 9i

    I am currently trying to design an application which is called from the web but the application is on forms 9i.
    Once the URL is called the user id needs to be entered and then this needs to be passed on to the main form . As I understand it this user id needs to be passed form HTML into the first form on 9i.
    Can anyone help me with the way this can be done
    Thanks in anticipation

    You can do that using PSP ( PL/SQL Server Pages ) using basic autentication. If you want to get information about you can install Oracle 8.1.7 or higher and invoke the following URL : http://localhost and make click in mod_plsql.

    How can I, using Oracle forms, "catch" the parameters that will be sent back to me by the third party? I need to update some tables depending on the creadit card transaction being approved.

    JSP?jsp's are not meant to read such amounts of data. this (= uploading) is a typical task for a specialized servlet. there you have full control over input and output. if you need to, you can still forward to a jsp after processing in the servlet.

  • WEB.Show_Document(POP Up Window In 11g forms)

    Is it possible to open a Http inside the POP Up Window In 11g forms.
    This is what i tried to use:
    Created a Dummy Window,dummy Canvas and by clicking the push button i gave this message:
    web.show_document('http://www.google.com','Html_Window');
    WEB.Show_Document will open only in seperated window but i need to open in the Pop Window is it possible please help on this.

    As Denis mentioned, you cannot show html content natively in a form. You would need a bean to do that. However, if you are just trying to create something that looks like a standard browser pop-up window, there are several ways to do it. Be aware however, that in some cases, the following example will not work if you are using an older JRE. The latest JRE is 1.6.0_29 and runs the following code correctly assume the browser is not set to block pop-ups.
    EXAMPLE 1:
    web.show_document('javascript:window.open ("http://www.oracle.com","myPop","location=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,status=no,resizable=yes,height=600,width=600");self.close();');
    EXAMPLE 2:
    Declare
         inJS      varchar2(32767);
    Begin
         -- More info about window.open here:
         -- http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/met_win_open.asp
         inJS := 'new_win=window.open("http://www.oracle.com","new_win1","menubar=0,location=0,toolbar=0,status=0,scrollbars=1,resizable=1,width=500,height=600");';
         web.javascript_eval_expr (inJS);
    End;

  • How to attach HTML content to DMS Document?

    Hello,
    I have a requirement in which I have to make a HTML file which contains the current Dispaly on screen, I have to attach this HTML file inside the DMS document.
    For this I am doing following steps.
    1 ) FM SAVE_LIST
    2) FM WWW_HTML_FROM_LISTOBJECT, form this FM I am getting the Internal table which is containing the HTML content.
             a) I am converting this internal table content ot first in XSTRING using FM SCMS_TEXT_TO_XSTRING
             b) And XSTRING to Binary format.
    3) After this I am creating a DMS cocument using FM CVAPI_DOC_CREATE
    3) After DMS document creation I am using FM CVAPI_DOC_CHECKIN to attach HTML file content to this DMS Document.
    Everthing seems to be ok, but when I am using CV03N to view the document, its showing the HTML file bu not showing the original content(HTML)
    Please help to find the problem, Is there any other way from which I could CHECKIN HTML content directly inside DMS document in HTML form without converting it to binary.

    HI,
    I have not understood the requirement.
    As far as I know, HTML need not to be checked in.

    What happens if the user isn't reading the message in a HTML enabled mail client?
    Besides, even if you don't want to send an equivelant message in plain text, at least say something like 'Please open the message in an HTML enabled mail client'.
    It is a required field, so requires some value (not null).
    From the docs:
    Plain text and HTML email content. Passing a value to p_body, but not p_body_html results in a plain text message. Passing a value to p_body and p_body_html yields a multi-part message that includes both plain text and HTML content. The settings and capabilities of the recipient's email client determine what displays. Although most modern email clients can read an HTML formatted email, remember that some users disable this functionality to address security issues.

    Thank you in advance.
    Regards,

    simply add activeX WebBrowser control to yout form
    Dim oWebX As SHDocVw.WebBrowser
                oItem = balanceform.Items.Add("browser", SAPbouiCOM.BoFormItemTypes.it_ACTIVE_X)
                oItem.Left = 5
                oItem.Top = 55
                oItem.Width = 980
                oItem.Height = 495
                ' Create the new activeX control
                AcXTree = oItem.Specific
                AcXTree.ClassID = "Shell.Explorer.2"
                oWebX = AcXTree.Object
                oWebX.Navigate("about:blank")
                oWebX = Nothing
                GC.Collect()

  • Writing Html Content into PDF using JSP

    Dear All,
    I am using JSP to generate Employee payslip dynamically. Presently i am diplaying payslip as on-screen display.
    Here i want to give option "Save as PDF". I am able to create PDF file using IText Libraries. i want to integrate HTML code into the PDF file.
    Writing HTML Content (using HTML Tags) into PDF.

    Well it is a difficult ask and i believe we are trying to re-invent the wheel
    Just to make my life simple i could have choosen either sample API given below to serve my cause
    1).[http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/] (Apache FOP one can simply write an XSL template of their and then substitute the values from respective DTO's by using XSL - XML transformations and can generate content in different formats which includes PDF aswell)
    2).[http://jasperforge.org/plugins/project/project_home.php?group_id=102] (Just design a simple report template using iReport and create a jrxml files and write a small code snipett such that you can pass few details at the runtime and can export the report in different formats which includes PDF aswell)
    3).[http://www.object-refinery.com/jfreereport/] (Is much similar to what jasper offers in order to compile these you can either use pentaho product IDE or BEA/Oracle Actuate report tools)
    You can simply try searching for different examples for getting more help on using the respective API's
    Hope that helps :)

  • Problem posting HTML content in WebForms

    I apologize in advance if this is posted in the wrong location; I cannot find a form for Webforms or ASP.NET in the listings.  (I also apologize if this is a duplicate question; I had trouble submitting it the first time.)
    I'm updating an existing WebForms application for a relative who will undoubtedly find lots of little details for me to fix over the next few weeks.  In order to reduce the number of service calls, I'm implementing a "site config" feature that
    will enable him to modify some of the site elements himself, such as toggling the display of certain labels or repositioning the hit count.  The configuration isn't being stored in a database, but rather in an XML document in the site root.  Each
    time the form is used to update the XML, a backup is saved, and the site can revert to a previous version if the current config becomes hosed.  In short, I'm not particularly concerned about malicious code going into the XML, although I do have some validation
    in place to make sure he doesn't screw things up.
    I'd like the config to be able to hold some HTML, so that he can apply custom formatting to the elements he configures, and I have of course applied Server.HtmlEncode to those fields.  But I can't get the form to post HTML content.  The article here
    (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/a2a4yykt(v=vs.100).aspx) advises me to turn off the request validation using the @ Page attribute ValidateRequest="false."  However, this has no effect.  Upon form submission, the code behind is
    completely ignored, and the exception  "A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client" is logged.
    Is there a way to override this behavior?  I'm using Framework version 4.0 (with Visual Studio 2010).

    If I remember correctly, you *should* be able to use whatever value you want for "key" in the RegisterOnSubmitStatement.  Have you tried something like this just for a test?
    this.ClientScript.RegisterOnSubmitStatement(
    this.GetType(),
    "I_Can_Put_Whatever_I_Want_Here",
    "alert('Microsoft is Awesome!');"
    But I *think* you are having a different issue.  It *sounds* like to me that maybe your EncodeAll ECMA/JavaScript function may not be getting registered properly or in a timely manner.  Have you used IE Developer Tools (F12) to poke around
    and view the available ECMA/JavaScript Files and definitions?
    There are different ways to register ECMA/JavaScript in *.NET.  One primitive way is to simply put something like this in the "head" tag of your MasterPage or ASPX file:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="./myJSFile.js">
    </script>
    Others ways are to use the
    ScriptManager or
    RegisterClientScriptInclude .  You can see a few easy examples of how to register ECMA/JavaScript in Mr. Akhtar's post here:
    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1666797/how-to-include-javascript-file-in-asp-net-page
    One really *strange* behavior that seems to get a lot of people when registering JavaScript manually via the "script" tag as mentioned above is that you often have to use a *full* </script> end tag for scripts to register properly.
    I have *no* idea why some browsers require this, but it is something web developers need to be aware of.  For example my
    "<script type='text/javascript' src='./myJSFile.js'></script>"
    example above should work if you have the right path but strangely
    "<script type='text/javascript' src='./myJSFile.js' />" does *not* necessarily work on all browsers even if you do use the correct path to the desired ECMA/JavaScript File.
    Best,
    Shawn

  • Send html content in notification body

    Hi, I am trying to make the body of my mail as html. But an empty mail is getting sent. The code is,
    <copy>
    <from expression="ora:processXSLT('Transformation_1.xsl',bpws:getVariableData('inputVariable','payload','/ns2:ORDER'))"/>
    <to variable="varNotificationReq" part="EmailPayload"

    <copy>
    <from expression="string('text/html; charset=UTF-8')"/>
    <to variable="varNotificationReq" part="EmailPayload"
    query="/EmailPayload/ns3:Content/ns3:MimeType"/>
    </copy>
    The xsl has the code:
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <ns0:ORDER>
    <xsl:attribute name="ErrState">
    <xsl:value-of select="/ns0:ORDER/@ErrState"/>
    </xsl:attribute>
    </ns0:ORDER>
    </xsl:template>
    I can see the ContentBody variable in the AuditTrail with the processed value. but in mail I am not getting anything.
    Please help me on this

  • Adding HTML content in Planning Webform Instruction box

    Hi,
    I am working on Planning 9.3.1, we are migrating the application from planning 3.5.
    One point i noticed todays is "Adding Instruction to Webform".
    In my Old system- i can add HTML content to set the instruction more user friendly or even i can add url inside the instruction box by href fucntion of html.
    In System 9.3.1- when i just copied that html from old webform Instruction box to new system webform Instruction box, it is not displaying in correct format.
    Any idea and any thought , how can manage to add html inside the Instruction box.
    Ex: <p><b><Font color=blue>Tax Percentage Input:</Font></b><br><br> <b>This form is used to enter applicable Federal and State taxes </b>
    The above text display on click of "View" as the font ,bold etc defined above in my planning 3.5 webform but same content is not working in 9.3.1
    Is that feature has gone in system 9 onwords...
    Regards,
    KK

    That is correct.> In old versions of Planning if you knew how to write html you could add stuff into the instructions that could be a hyperlink and could be edited for fonts size and color etc.

    This is no longer available based on the base code changing and no longer allowing it. Other might have suggestions on how to make so that works again but way I know handle this is through "menus". In menus you can add hyperlinks to other stuff.
    Well I thought it changed back in later versions 11.1.1.3.04 (I know not much use if you are on earlier versions) :- 9475065 – Users cannot use HTML commands in data form and task list instructions.
