Hi,
I need to transfer the values from one pgm to another using that have to do further processing. How to do it?Plz help

Hi,
To transfer values to Selection screen of another program use
SUBMIT programname_2
with S_selection field1_prm2  EQ valuefrom_prg_1
with S_selection field2_prm2  EQ valuefrom_prg_1
To use the a value from one  program to another program use
EXPORT and IMPORT
EXPORT itab_data TO MEMORY ID 'mtab'.
IMPORT itab_data FROM MEMORY ID 'mtab'.
give the same declaration for the table itab_data in program2.
No need to declare mtab
This will work

  • Passing the values from one pgm to another pgm (Calling pgm has no sel scr)

    Hi gurus,
In my requirement i need to pass the values from one program to another program.
I am using SUBMIT statement . But , the program which i am calling has no selection screen.
So how can i pass the values?
    Please help me ASAP.
    Regards,
    Bhanu.R

Export your internal tables or work areas to a memory id in ur program before u use submit.
Then in second pgm you have to import from memory id given above.
    example.
EXPORT gs_header FROM gs_header to memory id 'HEADER'.
EXPORT gt_item FROM gt_item to memory id 'ITEM'.
SUBMIT YFIIN_DISHC_MAILREPORT EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY AND RETURN.
In your second pgm you can write
import gs_header TO gs_header from MEMORY id 'HEADER'.
import gt_item TO gt_item from MEMORY id 'ITEM'.

  • Passing the values to another page.

    Hi all,
In the first column of the report is radio buttons
After selecting the radio button of a row and pressing the button view, has to go the next page where i can view the full details of the row.
How i should pass the values of the selected row in the view button.
    In other words
How to refer the report items when pressing a button.
    For eg:
If i say in URL Target like.....
    javascript:redirect('f?p=&APP_ID.:3:&SESSION.:DISPLAY:NO::P3_ACC_NO:' +#id#+)
if i put #id# the value is not appearing..
Could any one please guide me ?
    Thanks in advance
    bye
    Srikavi

    Hello,
    >> only if it is the primary key as you mentioned it is appearing.but, if i put an non-pk column it is not appearing.
I’m not sure what you mean by that. The onclick event will always set your hidden item according the any database column. In my example it’s ‘empno’, but I don’t see any reason to use any other column in the row. Anyway, the reason to use PK as the passes parameter is that with the PK you can retrieve the entire record on your next page, and use any column you need from the record.
If I misunderstood you’ please be more descriptive about the problem.

    Arie.

  • Help Creating A Link In An IR Report Passing The Value From A Different Col

    Version 4.0.2.00.07
    Hello,
I have an Interactive Report with a column that I need to create a link on but I need to pass the value of another column.
This report shows the Features of a particular Release. There is a select list for the Release that is selected and executes the report.
There is a column that indicates whether the Feature has a Commitment attached to it. If there is have that a link to another report that shows all the Commitments for that Feature by passing the FEATURE_ID which is also a column on the Feature report.
    Query:
    SELECT
,CASE WHEN ft.feature_id IN (SELECT cc.feature_id
                                       FROM customer_commitments cc
                                       WHERE ft.feature_id = cc.feature_id
                                      ) THEN 'Yes' ELSE 'No'
           END "Commitment Exists"
              ,ft.feature_id
FROM ....If "Commitment Exists" has a 'Yes', the 'Yes' is a link that will pass the FEATURE_ID to another report that will show the Commitments for that Feature. If the "Commitment Exists" has a 'No' then no link.
I was also wondering if the Commitment report could open in a seperate window and make it modal?
I hope this is clear and someone could help me.
Please let me know if it's not clear or more information is needed.
    Thanks,
    Joe

To accomplish this I would build the link as part of the value. So if Yes the Yes itself would be a link, if No is simply text as today.
It would look something like this:
    SELECT
,CASE WHEN ft.feature_id IN (SELECT cc.feature_id
                                       FROM customer_commitments cc
                                       WHERE ft.feature_id = cc.feature_id
           THEN
            '<a href="f?p=&APP_ID.:NEW_PAGE:&SESSION.::::Pn_FEATURE_ID:' || ft.feature_id || '">Yes</a>'
           ELSE
            'No'
           END "Commitment Exists"
              ,ft.feature_id
FROM ....One problem with this approach is when you export the report (as a CSV for example). There are a few ways to handle this, one is to simply duplicate the column with clear text yes and no and set this column to be included on export and only visible on export. The other column, with the link, set it to no export.
The other option is to add another condition on the REQUEST value.
    SELECT
,CASE WHEN ft.feature_id IN (SELECT cc.feature_id
                                       FROM customer_commitments cc
                                       WHERE ft.feature_id = cc.feature_id
           THEN
                  decode(:REQUEST, 'CSV', 'Yes'
                , '<a href="f?p=&APP_ID.:NEW_PAGE:&SESSION.::::Pn_FEATURE_ID:' || ft.feature_id || '">Yes</a>'
           ELSE
            'No'
           END "Commitment Exists"
              ,ft.feature_id
FROM ....It seems that the link itself is getting replaced with a #. The link would look something like this:
    'f?p=&APP_ID.:NEW_PAGE:&SESSION.::::Pn_FEATURE_ID:' || ft.feature_id
    Hope this helps.
Oh and of course, in order for the link to display you need to change the Display Type to "Standard Report Column" otherwise the HTML will be escaped.
    Thanks

  • How to pass the values to stored proc using presentation variable in OBIEE

Need your help regarding in resolving an issue in OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1
There are 6 reports say ‘A’,’B’,’C’,’D’,’E’,’F’ in the same subject area.
The reports are being configured with prompts using either the repository/presentation variables.
One of the reports say ‘A’ has been configured to pass the values using presentation variables from the prompt in Advanced Tab of the report request to the stored procedure defined in the Execute Before Query section of the connection pool.
After running another report ‘B’ in the same subject area, upon visiting the report ‘A’ view display error is being seen ( Please have a look below screen shot for your reference) .
Speculate the issue is around presentation variables of report ‘A’ getting initialized even before running the report.
Appreciate your earliest advise as this is a prod issue.

    Hi Prasad,
I got your note, you should not use Session variable syntax to call presentation variable.
    you should use like @{AIC_PROJ_PLAT_SEQ_NO}
One more thing: first test the variable AIC_PROJ_PLAT_SEQ_NO value then try to pass to SP.
    Hope this helps

    Hi john,
My Requirement is to create a ADF page based on the Human Task with the Default payload. In that page when the user presses the empid link field, It will show all the information related to the employee id in a separate page.
    so ,
    1. i have created the View Object based on the Query with where clause
    2. Create a bind variable for the where clause
3.Created s new page for displaying the employee details
4.drag and drop the both the pages (employee details, default page created by human task) into the adfcconfig file.
5.drag and drop the Execute with params into the adfcconfig file
6.wire it from human task page --> execute with params--> Employee details page
7.change the employee field in that human task page to a link field.
8.drag and drop the set property listener to that employee field.
    Testing
Enter the input values for the Web service, logging to the BPM worklist, double click that task .it is showing the details when I press the employee id it is not navigating to the employee details page.

  • Passing the values from the graph when we use Navigate to the BI Content

    Hi,
The following are the problems which we are facing when navigating to the other BI report.
1)When using the “Navigate to BI content” action the values are not getting passed to the detail report from the graph. Is there any limitation or any alternative to make it work?
When I click on the Bar graph I need to pass the corresponding period and the dimension (EX: Operating Unit – Vision Services R+D) to the detail report.
2)I have tried using the “Navigate to Web page” action. I am able to pass the values but the page is getting opened in another window. I want that page to be opened in the same window so that my presentation variable values are not lost.
3)When I click on the bar graph, I am able to pass the values period and operating unit. But my presentation variable values are lost. I want to retain them.
Please help me out in achieving this scenario.
    Thanks,
    Chaithanya

    Hi,
In the column properties give the navigation to other reports from the interaction tab and make a chart with the column and in the dashboard -->edit dashboard-->in the section where the report is placed--->give 'drill in place'.

  • Variable type Hierarchy, how to get the value from another similar variable

    Hi.
We have created a variable, type hierarchy (using ORGEH hierarchy in HR based on 0ORGUNIT). Let's call this VAR1. We want to fill this with an User Exit, beacuse we want VAR1 to have the value from another variable, VAR2, which is also type hierarchy (and based on the same characteristic).
However, when we program this user exit and use the VAR1 afterwards, it just behaves as if we have a single characteristic value and not a node value. As a result, we just get posts which do have the 'parent itself' as characteristic value, and none of the subnodes...  Any hints as to what we can do in our User exit to get the value passed over from VAR2 to VAR1 as a node value? Is there any spesific syntax to be used here that we are missing? ( The VAR1 and VAR2 are both defined as hierarchy variables, we have double checked...).

    Hi,
are you on BI7.0? There you can create variables type replacement path and get the value out from a different variable without any coding.

  • Passing column values to another tab if check box selected in that row

    Hi
    I have the following requirement.
I have a table that gets populated by a web service. Have added one more field to it which is a check box. Th requirement is that I need to pass the values of column (say id) from each row which has it's check box selected, as input parameters to a web service in another tab.
example: table has fileds id, name, address, checkbox. If there are 5 rows and the user select 1 and 2 then I need the ids of 1 and 2 to be passed to another tab.
    Is this possible  ........
    Thanks

    Hi
I just don't want to make multiple selection but pass the values of a column from the selected rows to another tab to be used as input parameters to a web service.
I want to know how to pass the values(of one filed) of the selected rows across tabs/switches.
    Thanks

  • How to pass the value from Sub report to main report

    I have un report(mainreport) within a subreport(subreport).
With reporting services, how to pass the value from Sub report to main report?
    thanks

    Hi Alebet,
With reporting services to pass values from sub report in to main report is not supported directly.
But there are some workarounds through which you can get this .
There are two ways to get this.
1- Put your sub report query into some table. i mean to say through the subreport query get some temporary table.
2- Using this temporary tables data write some Scala function in the data base.
3- Now in your main report query return this scala function as a column.
4- Extract the column value where ever you want in your main report which is getting calculated from the subreport query. so you will be getting the values returned from the subreport in the main report.
This will definitely work fine as i have done some report in this way.
Another way of doing is that
1- prepare another data set with the same query as in sub report in the data tab.
2- then refer this 2nd dataset in your main report .
But better way will be the top one.
Anyway please let me know if you get the solution.
    Thanks

  • Pass report values to another dashboard?

    HI all,
I have two reports say, Report1, Report2 in a Dashboard. Report1 is in one page and Report2 in another page of that dashboard.
    Say Report2 has these columns.
gl company |||||||| gl account |||||||||||product||||||||||||||| balance
User has to click on any product value in this report and then, it should take the user to another report Report3 in another dashboard(or same dashboard). BUT, Report3 is from a different fact than Report1, Report2.
When the user clicks on Product values of Report2, the corresponding gl company, gl account, product values must be passed on to REPORT 3 (they act as criteria for Report 3) How can we pass on these values to REPORT3 which is based on another fact?
I can use "navigation" But, that passes the values to report3 ONLY if that is based off the same fact as of the other two reports.correct?
Btw I am using OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1

I was using this link for the Go URL .
I have used this code for "Product" field of REPORT 2.
    '<--a href=http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?GO&
    path=/shared/Development/Report3
    &Action=Navigate
    &P0=1
    &P1=eq
    &P2="Fact - Table1"."product"
    &P3='||" Fact - Table2"."product"||'
    style="text-decoration:none;">'
    ||
    '<--/a>'
I have used text -decoration : none attribute too. But I am unable to see any values in PRODUCT column in REPORT2. It is BLANK
One more thing is that, I tried replacing the spaces in table name by %20 in the above code. But it was throwing an error. hence I had to keep it as it is.
Any idea why it wouldn't show me the product values?
    Any help appreciated. Thanks,

  • Passing parameter values to another report using URL actions (reportserver)

    Hi guys,
I have two reports that I link with eachother. For report A - B everything works perfect. When I try to do the same for report B - A it works, but the parameter value is not filled in.
    =Iif(
    Parameters!PAR_LinksEnabled.Value,
    Globals!ReportServerUrl & "?" & Replace(Globals!ReportServerUrl, "_vti_bin/ReportServer", "")
    & "Reporting/POS Reporting/Reports/POS Report.rdl&POS_ID=" & Parameters!CONNECTION_ID.Value & "&POS_LANG=" & Parameters!POS_LANG.Value & "&PAR_Date=%5BDate invoice%5D.%5BBonus Calendar - Week%5D.%5BBonus
    week of year%5D.%26%5B" & Left(Parameters!YEAR_WEEK.Label, 4) + "%5D%26%5B" & CInt(Right(Parameters!YEAR_WEEK.Label, 2)) & "%5D",
    Nothing
Even tho I specify the parameter he has to pass through, the report opens with parameter period : <select a value>. Anyone has an idea why such behaviour happens?
    Thanks!

    Hi Yvanlathem,
Per my understanding that you want to use the expression above to conditional add the hyperlink to pass the value to the parameter of anpother rreport via the URL in the SharePoint integrated mode report server, right?
I have check the expression you have provided and the issue can be caused by the wrong way you have write the expression to pass the parameter, please check detais information below to make sure you have pass parameter in the URL correctly:
Please modify the expression to below structure :
     =Iif( Parameters!PAR_LinksEnabled.Value="Enabled", "URL",Nothing)
I saw you have use expression like "&POS_ID=" & Parameters!CONNECTION_ID.Value & "" which is incorrect, we need to set a report parameter within a URL, use the following syntax:
     parameter=value(not Value=Parameter)
If you are using the following syntax like "Parameter1=Parameter2", both parameters and from different report, if you have add the "Go to URL" action from  report2 to Report1, please make sure Parameter1 is from the Report1
and Parameter2 is from Report2, change the order will not work
    More detail information:
Pass a Report Parameter Within a URL
So, In your scenario, please make sure the value is from one report's field (POS_ID) and the the parameter(CONNECTION_ID) is from another report (e.g:"&CONNECTION_ID=" &Fields!POS_ID.Value &"")
