Passing vars to custom popup

I created a custom component out of a vbox. Within the vbox I
declared a Bindable Public Variable as shown
[Bindable]
Public var dv_jobid:String;
I want to launch the component in a popup window when a
datagrid is double clicked. I call the function to create
the popup and here is the code for that function. The popup
gets created but when I include the code to pass a value to my
public var I get the undefined property error. Iv been on this for
two hours, ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im sure it's simple, why am I not getting this????

Public is only capitalized here
I will try casting viewjob as you say tomorrow, thanks. Hope
that is it.
That was it, thanks very much!

  • Custom Popup - Passing values back to Textarea with HTML Editor

    I have created a Custom Popup which is to populate a "Textarea with HTML Editor".
    I have found that the Custom Popup works fine if the target item is defined as a "Textarea", or "Textarea (auto-height)", or "Textarea w/Character Counter" (although the counter is not automatically updated), or "Textarea w/Character Counter & Spellcheck", or "Textarea with Spell Checker".
    However, if the target item is defined as "Textarea with HTML Editor" the Custom Popup does not populate the target item. No error message is produced. If the target item already had data, the data is unchanged.
    Is this a known bug?

    "Textarea with HTML Editor" is actually two objects on the screen with javascript keeping the data in the two objects in sync as you type in the editor.
    You have to populate both objects as you try to syncronize the data from your popup.
    I built a screen using dHTML that switches between the HTML Editor and the Text with Spell check and use Javascript to keep the two (actually three objects in sync)
    My button that switches from one view to the other uses the following syntax:
    javascript:setEqual('P9904_HTML_MESSAGE','P9904_MESSAGE','P9904_MESSAGEDiv');
    'P9904_HTML_MESSAGE' is the HTML view of the data with spell check
    'P9904_MESSAGE' is the html editor view of the data
    'P9904_MESSAGEDiv' is the extra object that Oracle uses for the editor
    This is the fuction that keeps the data in sync:
    function setEqual(fromObjectID,toObjectID,htmlObjectID)
    document.getElementById(toObjectID).value = document.getElementById(fromObjectID).value;
    document.getElementById(htmlObjectID).innerHTML=document.getElementById(fromObjectID).value;
    I hope this helps.

  • How to make a custom popup window conditional

    I reviewed the how-to doc to create custom popup pages. It uses a javascript function in the HTML Header of the popup page:
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function callMyPopup (formItem1,formItem2,formItem3) {
    var formVal1 = document.getElementById(formItem1).value;
    var formVal2 = document.getElementById(formItem2).value;
    var formVal3 = document.getElementById(formItem3).value;
    var url;
    url = 'f?p=&APP_ID.:2:&APP_SESSION.::::P2_ENAME,P2_JOB,P2_SAL:' + formVal1 + ',' + formVal2 + ',' + formVal3 ;
    w = open(url,"winLov","Scrollbars=1,resizable=1,width=800,height=600");
    if (w.opener == null)
    w.opener = self;
    w.focus();
    </script>
    I don't know javascript -- is there a way to have the page be a popup page conditionally based on the page it's invoked from? I want to use an existing report page that's a tab page as a popup page with a conditional column link that is displayed based on if it was invoked from a specific page that's used for the pass back values. Is this all possible?

    Hi Denes,
    Thanks so much for your help. I have everything working, it's great! I'm trying to enhance this by having the Select column in my popup page (P57) be conditionally displayed based on the page it was invoked from. I've tried a couple different things. One is I have a page item on the popup page that gets set to the page it's invoked from by setting the page item in the href defined in the Post Element Text for the link in the calling page. What I can't figure out now is how to set it to null after the user selects a value from the popup page, or if they close the window without selecting a value. To make it work in all cases, the P57_FROM_PAGE page item needs to be set to null by the calling page.
    Can you give me some pointers on how to do this?

  • Custom Popup on a Tabular Form for Multi Row Operation

    I am trying to implement a custom popup on a tabular form that I can pass a value typed in to a text item like “Name” to the popup so it can filter a list of names on what was already typed in.
    Once a selection is made I need to have the selected name passed back to the text item.
    This is easily done when not using a Tabular Form. Any ideas would be great?

    Can someone please help me with this?
    I've read the Thread:
    "Custom Popup on a Tabular Form for Multi Row Operation",
    and have tried following the instructions provided by Willi Firulais.
    I've also tried to integrate the instructions provided by RWeide in response within the same Thread.
    I cannot get the passBack function to Pass the value to the Calling Page.
    (I've tried to organize the pertinent information as it pertains to my application,
    and have included it here below:)
    A. Calling Page (Page# 141)
    1. HTML Header: (Page# 141)
    <script> function callMyPopup(item) { var url;

    if (w.opener == null) w.opener = self; w.focus(); }
    </script>
    2. Region Definition: (Orders) - SQL Query (Updateable Report)
    a. Query:
    select

  • UCCX 8.0 Accessing ECC Vars through custom Java

    In a UCCX script, how can I access the ECC Vars within custom Java?
    I  know how to pull them in the UCCX script using the "Get Enterprise Call  Info" step.  I want to grab all of the ECC key value pairs without  knowing how many there are or their names.
    I'm new at this so any help would be wonderful thank you.

    Lauren Beal wrote:I'm new at this so any help would be wonderful thank you.
    I can assure you that your being new to this is not relevant in regards to what you are asking for.  I have been doing this a long time, and would bet there is maybe one person on this forum that can answer your question.
    Until he answers, I will offer you this:
    Instead of trying to access the ECC directly from within the Custom Java, how about storing the data for ECC into a two-dimensional array.  Now, you can write your ECC values by accessing the array indices, as well as pass your array into the a method of your custom class.  It's a workaround for what you really asked for, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to know that it's even possible.
    E.g.,
    String[][] my_ecc_data = new String[] {new String {"first_ecc", "value1"}, new String[] {"second_ecc", "value2"}}
    Good luck and happy scripting!

  • Leading zeros problem with custom popup

    I've implemented a custom popup page following the How-To docs on the topic. The value I'm return to the calling page in the passback function most often will have leading zeros. So from the custom popup I do a call like this: javascript:passback(00363644). When my value arrives back on the calling page it's converted to 124836 (haven't yet figured out what kind of conversion is happening there).
    I realize this is not a javascript forum (and I've Googled for leading zeros in javascript to no avail - yet) but the HTML DB field type Popup LOV seems to accomplish this just fine so I was wondering how Oracle might be doing it. Anyone have any ideas?
    Earl

    Vikas,
    See
    http://tinypic.com/ibbfoy.jpg
    So, just use
    javascript:passback("00363644")and it should do what you want.You would think. But I've tried:
    wrapping it in single quotes:
    opener.document.getElementById('P6_CONTACT_ID').value = "'" + myVal + "'";
    wrapping it in single quotes:
    opener.document.getElementById('P6_CONTACT_ID').value = """ + myVal + """;
    and the other 'trick' that I've seen mentioned several places, concatenating an empty string to the value:
    opener.document.getElementById('P6_CONTACT_ID').value = "" + myVal;
    All to no avail! This is really frustrating. Supposedly, any string concatenation action will 'force' the value to retain it's original 'string-ness'.
    Working off this assumption and thinking that the conversion had already taken place by the time I assigned the value I backed up a step and assigned the value to a variable before trying to set the value, ala:
    var myVal = p_Value.toString();
    opener.document.getElementById('P6_CONTACT_ID').value = myVal;
    and still no joy.
    Following this logic one step further, do I need to get the value to a string in the original call. This will be a challenge because the link in the popup report is a is set to a URL with javascript call, like this: javascript:passback(#CONTACT_ID#);
    Further, when I float over the links with the mouse I can see the URL in the status bar of the browser as javascript:passback(00363644); So, how do I go about wrapping this in quotes in the link?
    Any help???

  • Custom Popup (callMyPopup) formItem Radiogroup undefined

    I built Custom Popup using the HOWTO documenation (Build Custom Popup Pages) found at:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/htmldb/howtos/how_to_create_custom_popups.html
    I am passing two variables to the Popup page, with one of those variables being an Item of value "Y" or "N".
    If this Page Item is defined as a "Checkbox" (on the calling page) I get the message "Error on Page" and the Popup page is not rendered.
    If I change the Item to a "Radiogroup", the call is successful (the Popup is rendered), however the value passed to the Popup is neither "Y" nor "N" but "undefined" (without the quotes).
    If I change the Item to be "Hidden" or "Text Field" or "Text Area" or "Popup LOV" or "Select List", the proper value gets passed to the Popup Page and the process works successfully.
    Is this a known bug?

    It appears that Page Items defined as Radiogroups or Checkboxes cannot be referenced within a JavaScript. I am uncertain as to the technical reason for this, or why these two item types were implemented in such a way, but that is the way it currently appears to be working.

  • How do you determine custom popup size ?

    RH9/Snagit 10
    I am inserting hyperlinks to graphics in a popup window and trying to get the popups to appear without scroll bars.
    the graphics are all roughly the same size (gui screen caps) and will be viewed internally on the same sized laptop screens.
    I tried auto-sizing but the resulting window was too small.
    I have tried custom popup, but no matter what size i make the image in snagit or when i import into RH, the screen cap does not fit in the popup and there are scroll bars.
    is there a formula i can follow to figure out what size i should make the image/popup.
    thanks

    I found that the best idea is to let Firefox decide that itself.

    Yes. You assign a LOV definition to the attribute that then you display in the af:query component. You can also have dependnet LOV implemented this way. However, you cannot have a custom (your own) list of value popup dialog used

    Show the custom popup window on clicking the people name in sharepoint people search result
    We are doing the below code to open a popup but while clicking on name link its postback the page and not opening the popup in first click but opening in second click.The same issue occurs while navigate to second page using pagination
    The below code used to show name in item template
    <button id="NameFieldLink" class="temp" style="font-size: 12px;text-decoration:none;color:#0072c6;border:0px solid #fff;background:transparent;margin-left: 1px;height: 15px;padding: 0 10px 17px 0px;text-align: left;cursor:pointer;font-family:

    ctx.OnPostRender = [];
    ctx.OnPostRender.push(function () {

    $('#fadeout').show();
    $('#pop1').find('.tab-content-people').html($(this).closest('.emp-card').find('.pop-content').html());
    $('#pop1').show();
    return false;

    I believe the issue is that you are not actually searching against the result source you made in step #1.
    It's not enough to make a result source, you have to tell the search results web part to use it.
    Try this:
    1. Go to the Pages library of Search Center
    2. Create a new Search Results page
    3. Edit the page, then edit the search results web part
    4. Change the source for the search results web part to your source
    5. Add the page to your Search Center navigation
    6. Run the search on that page

    Hi Manas,
    I implemented a PopUp component some time ago for this task. There was a tutorial written for something similar here on SDN the link is: https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/OpeninganURLthroughpop-upfromWEBUIofCRM2007
    In the PopUp you do a followup navigation to the transaction you would like to call:
    data: lr_navigation       TYPE REF TO         if_crm_ui_navigation_service.
    lr_navigation = cl_crm_ui_navigation_service=>get_instance( me ).
      lr_navigation->navigate( iv_link_id         = 'your_logical_link'
                               iv_data_collection = lr_col ).
    lr_col is a BOL collection of any kind of navigational data you need, can be kept empty as well.
