Password fields(mask in ******) in selection screen show in variant

Hi guys,
In my develped report program, I mask a password field as *****,but if I save the selection-sceen input as variant, when I display the variant, the content of password field will be shown,any way to mask it in variant? thanks!

If you go to the attributes of report, where you are using Logical Database;
there is a button named 'Report Category', which controls the field on selection screen...
If you select that one you can choose report category and also can create your own category

Hiding Screen fields in a Report selection screen

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to hide/disable screen fields in a report selection screen when the user clicks on some radio buttons .
Here is the scenario,
1) There are 4 radio buttons four radiobuttons in one group on the selection screen:--
Block no:1
PARAMETER: r_not TYPE c RADIOBUTTON GROUP a1 DEFAULT 'X'.
PARAMETER: r_prgs TYPE c RADIOBUTTON GROUP a1.
PARAMETER: r_remv TYPE c RADIOBUTTON GROUP a1.
PARAMETER: r_noresp TYPE c RADIOBUTTON GROUP a1.
2) Based on the user clicking/selecting the radio buttons no.2,3 nad 4 i need to hide some fields in the other selection block
in the selection screen.The parameters are as follows:
Block no:2( These fields need to be hidden/disabled)
PARAMETER: r_occ(3) TYPE c OBLIGATORY DEFAULT '1'.
PARAMETER: r_and TYPE c RADIOBUTTON GROUP g1.

How to add a new Field in the Dynamic Selection screen section.

HI,
There is a requirement in which I need to add a field in existing program of dynamic selections.
I need to add a field KNKK-DBRTG (Customer Rating) in dynamic selections screen of some existing report
which has a dynamic selection screen with other fields like customer account, company code etc. Along with this i need to add Customer rating field also in the selection screen.
I have used GET KNKK statement to select this in the Dynamic selection screen. But I need to make it appear
on the screen.
LDB used is the Customer Database.
I have added GET KNKK statement after GET KNA1 statement.
Can any one help me how we can make this rating field appear in the selection screen.
With the GET statement Credit control area Fields can be selected in the selection screen but I have to permanantly add the field in the selection screen.

So you need that this new field have data in old records?
1.- If you are in BI 7.0 and the logic or data for that New field are in the same Dimension, you can use a Remodeling to fill it. I mean if you want if you want to load from a Master Data from other InfoObject in the same Dim.
2.- If condition "1" is not yours.
First add the new field, then create a Backup Cube (both cubes with the new field) and make a full update with all information in the original Cube. The new field willl be empty in both cubes.
Create an UR from BackUp_Cube to Original_Cube with all direct mapping and create a logic in the Start Routine of the UR (modiying the data_package) you can look for the data in the DSO that you often use to load.
To do that both cubes have to be Datasources ( right click on Cube-> aditional function-> and I think is "Extract Datasource")

Dear freinds how to open the fields in the PNP selection screen

Dear Freinds,
         When you use the PNP selection screen , i dont find the Orgeh field in default selection screen .
However , using the code at selection screen output i have closed certain feilds using the loop at screen,
but when iam trying in similar way to show the field
on the selection what is the code i have to use
in the loop at screen...........especially for the field
orgeh .
i have tried the othere options like required.........this working when iam able to make the date fields mandatory, similary i want to try with the below
code to get the field Orgeh on the selection as default feild when we execute the report.

Hi Madhuri,
Unless you dont declare the orgeh field in hr report category you cannot show it on the selection screen nor you can hide it.
If you do not want to use hr report cateogry.
What you can do is that declare a parameter or selection screen called p_orgeh type orgeh.
Here you can do the hiding on conditions.
Kindly note here that after get pernr you will have to put a check that
check p0001-orgeh in p_orgeh.
Because for the fields declared by you automatic filtering does not happen.

Adding a new field to selection screen -Effect on variant

If we add a new (non obligatory) field to a slection screen, is there any impact on existing variants? Does SAP regenerate each variant when the screen change transport get applied? We had a DB lock jam situation in our PRD system for VARI table and the previous day some program changes with a added selection screen parameter ( a check box) had moved).

Adding a field to the selection screen shouldn't affect existing variants (but the field will be blank for all variants). However, if there is a problem, you should be able to retrieve variants with program RSVARDOC_610.

I am still not clear with the problem..I guess you require plant in your selection screen which you have.
i guess if you go to sq01tcode there is a option infoset query from where you can give your selection options and value.
have you selected all the fields in infoset and made a selection screen?
When you have done with your infoset you just need to diplay the fields and there is a automatic program generated.

How to shift cursor from one field to another on selection screen

On the selection screen, I have many fields, like material code, plant, valuation type etc.
Materoal Code,
Serial Number
Plant
Valuation type, and many other fields
those fields are on selection screen my requirement is when user enter the material code in Material code field and when he press the enter the cursor should come in the second filed Plant and so on, how to do this i dont want to use keyboard keys lik TAB, Arrow key, because I am entering the data on selection screen., with a scanner device and on that device there is one command which act as ENTER key of the keyboard. after after entring the data in first field when the scanner gives the enter command i am doing som e validation for the given field value then want to shift the curson position to next field..

Hi, expert, i have create a condition table for my listing type Z001. there is a field name ZZABCD in the condition table. In VB03, I can see the conditon table in 'Key combination'. go to OV06, there select the table in which you want to add field. And then select the Add Field and search and add your required field.
Also,
while assinging accesses to access seq., select the table you want to add against the access seq. and in that table, add the newly created field. And finally save.
There is no need to change other setting as you want to add only the field.
Now try the field should be displayed

But I don't want to use the "selection criteria" selection block of LDB PERAS selection screen.

No password field (FileVault 2 pre-boot screen)

I'm unable to enable FileVault 2. Whenever it reboots to start encrypting, the pre-boot screen that comes up has no password field, and when I press "alt" then the area below my account picture becomes blurry. Pictures attached.

You have to customize the Program according to business requirement.
You can copy as ZCOOIS and assign a Tcode for that and do the necessary modifications as per need.
