Password History in FIM Password Reset

Hello
We have a problem no one seem to be able to fix. 
We have a register/reset portal up n running and everything works great. Users can register and then change passwords.
The problem is the password History, they can change back to old passwords. I have tryed all thinkable solutions but we cant seem to handle the history. We have policys on group level that applies this rules.
Anyone with a solution or that have similar problem?

FIM 2010 Self Service Password Reset now supports Enforcement of all domain password policies

    I have not checked the OIM but this was/is a feature in the OID.

    I am trying to implement reset password functionality for accounts in Windows 2012 R2 AD
    LDS via java ldap api. But it is not honoring password history constraint. When I tried to implement change password it is enforcing password history. I am using the following code to reset password.

    I suggest you check password policy on the AD LDS server.
    If the server is under workgroup mode, then local password policy is applied; if it is domain-joined, domain password policy over-rides local password policy, you may also need to check if there is any PSO configured.

    I have a requirement where i need to enable the password history for end user(for reset password and change password also).Can anybody give a solution for me???

    Enabling password history is done from the Security > Policies tab.
    Edit the default Password Policy and add a number to Number of Previous Passwords that Cannot be Reused.
    Make sure this password policy is selected in Default Identity Manager Account Policy.

  • Siteminder password history

    When I integrate the IDM with Siteminder login module and a password change occurs via IDM it seems the password history is not updated for Siteminder. The displayName field needs to be updated when we reset the passwords.
    All the updates are stored in the display name (expired, history, etc.)
    Is there an outstanding issue regarding this or does anyone know a solution?

    I faced similar problem. I was not able to reset the siteminder password using IDM and later I got information that this is a bug with siteminder adapter and later I did through an external java bean.

    Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, followTroubleshooting security software issues.
    Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer.
    Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect.     I helped him create a new email address and new iCloud account on my Mac but when we try to register the phone with Apple it says: Maximim accounts limit reached for this device. How can he register the phone? I read different threads and found out that only Apple care can do that. We're in Romania and don't know where to call. Any suggestions on how we fix this?

    When I checked the support site for Romania, you apparently don't have an Apple Care contact center.  You "may" try calling the US Apple care number to verify the account and have the password reset sent to a different email address.  800-694-7466

  • HT2518 How do you reset the password on a migrated user account? Mac wants the old password putting in before we can set a new password and the old password won't work.  How do we get around this?

    Used Migraton Assist to transfer data from old Dell PC onto new Macbook Pro.  Data has come across but cannota access the User Account from the Dell.  It is displayed on the desktop of the Mac but is requesting and new password.  Before we can reset the password we have to put in the old password.  We have put in the old password but it doesn't work and therefore we can't reset the password and get into the User Account. 
    How do we get around this problem so that we can access the User Account.
    Although the data has transferred we cannot see our contacts transferred from Outlook into Mail.  We are wondering if they are contained within our User Account, but can't find out until we can access the it?

    If you're talking about an old iCloud ID, you have to delete the old account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
