Password Manager XP 3.0. 530 sopped working under Firefox 3.6.15

Using Password Manager XP (Pro)
Version 3.0 (Build 530) (Most recent available)
Was working OK through all Firefox upgrades starting with 3.6.3 through auto upgrade 3.6.14
However, when I allowed 3.6.15 to install suddenly could not fill password info in forms I use all the time - no autofill, and when I Ctrl-Alt-L I can select the fields I want from the Filling Form Data window (I see the results being placed in the fields during the dialog) but when I click done the fields get cleared and I get a "Not implemented" message (not sure who is creating this message, since the label says "Error" and nothing else).
Tried uninstalling Firefox 3.6.15 and reinstalling 3.6.3 (most recent installation exe I had in my download backup folder) but to no avail, same symptoms.
Any suggestions?
Dave Rose

    Hi kglad,
The problem was coming from my server.
I recently played with some settings  from a "cache control tool" offered by my hosting but i thought i had it back at default. Turns out i must've missed something. Now i have the .html caching on and everything works good on all browser.
    I have another question tho...
I'd like to know if there's a way to cache an html file without having to ask my hoster to cache all of my htmls...
I'm using this code now but maybe there's a way to add something that will cache this page specifically?

  • SiteCatalyst ClickMap doen't work under FireFox

    Hi there,
I have configured SiteCatalist tracking on my website (cq5.5). It successfully sends data under google chrome. But under firefox it does not send ClickMap parameters (oid, ot, pid, pidt).
I tried the same things on new cq5 instance in Geometrixx to exclude possibility that I did mistake in my code - situation the same. Under chrome works perfect, but under firefox no ClickMap parameters are sent.
The only thing done on new instance is:
    1) created sitecatalyst configuration
    2) created framework
    3) configured geometrixx home page to use framework above
In chrome after clicking on any geometrixx link after loading target page corresponding clickmap data is sent, but not in firefox.
Could you please explain why and how to fix it?
    Thanks

Indeed, in FF unless you explicitly set “trackInlineStats” in Framework settings ClickMap parameters are not sent.
    Thanks, Sham.

  • Search does not work under firefox

    Dear,
Under firefox (1.0.1) and also under mozilla 1.7.5, the 'go' buttom next to the search field does not seem to function.

I think this is fixed in the meanwhile.
It does work fine for me.

  • EBay sort function does not work under Firefox 9.0 - does work in IE9

The sort by pull down menu in eBay still allows you to pull down and select your sort choice, but none of them work under ff9.0 - they worked fine under ff8.0, and still work in safari 5.1.1 and IE9. I'm using Win7 Pro 64bit.

The same in FF 8.0.1 (Win7 x64 Ult)

  • One of 3 links on a web page does not work under Firefox 9.0.1 but all three work under IE.

Please float your mouse over the Paypal button (bottom left) and over the Envelope button and the arrow will change to a pointed finger. Float it over the adjacent Blog button and the arrow remains an arrow. With Internet Explorer, all three button links work - but not with Firefox 9.0.1. Why is this?

Well done knorrtje. I have since saved the page as .htm code and viewed the page layout with Dreamweaver and your diagnosis is spot on. I have contacted the page owner and requested a change be made to uncover the Blog button. Many thanks to you and have a great 2012.

  • Firefox stops working when I use the password manager on certain pages

    Hey.
When I visit certain pages, Firefox will consistently crash. One of these pages for example is:
    betabrand.com
The moment the password manager window jumps up, the window hangs and Firefox stops. It also happens randomly on other pages including
    gmail.com
Sometimes, though not always, a script error will appear that says that googletag has stopped working. I don't know what that is and have tried debugging, stopping the script and just continuing. No real effect. Firefox still crashes after trying each in turn.
Firefox will also crash if I try to access the options window.
    I have tried:
    1. uninstalling firefox and reinstalling fresh. No result.
    2. disabling all addons (addons I use are: addblock plus 2.6.5 - Clean Links 2.6.1.0 - Myibidder 1.3.7 and Web Of Trust 20131118). Firefox will function without crashing once I do this but I cannot identify whcih addon is causing the problem because it functions well on each occassion when I cycle through and disable them one by one.
    My system specs are:
    i7 @ 3.4g
    4gig ram
    Win7 32
FF crashed while terying to install the troubleshooter addon.
    Thanks for any help.

  • Password Manager

I recently removed Client Security because the password manager for internet logins was not working and CSS seemed to be the cause.  I have seen many discussions abount password manager but not any solution that was applicable.  Is there a way to use CSS and pasword manager on Vista Business SP2 sucessfully?  Is there a password manager without CSS and how is it accessed?

    Hey 0_hilliard,
What is happening is that you have Password Manager a Thinkvantage tool running on your computer. Here is a link talking about Password Manager.

  • Password Manager Crashing IE8 in Vista.

On certain sites, I noticed that IE8 on vista would crash with a Data execution Protection Error message. After digging through all of my addons, I narrowed it down to the "iepasswordmanagerhelper Class" and the "Lenovo Password Manager" extensions.
Although most sites work, some sites will constantly crash the browser. lenovo.com has just recently started to crash it. pcworld.com's news and review articles seem to always take it down as well. I've also disabled memory protection in IE8's advanced settings with the same results on or off. only disabling the addons in IE8 seems to fix the problem, but since I like the feature (especially with the fingerprint reader) I would rather have a fix than a workaround.
Password Manager version is 3.00.0205.00 and Client Security Solution version is 8.21.0006.00. Thinkvantage system update is not showing any updates to thiese versions, and all TVSU updates have been applied. Laptop is a Lenovo R61 7733 system running the Lenovo image of Windows Vista Ultimate. It has the built in Fingerprint reader as well.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

edit: here is a beta version of PWM it works fine also http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkVantage-Technologies/Announcing-Password-Manager-4-beta-testing-pro...

  • Password Manager and IE9 RC

Hello, Installed the latest version of Client Security Solution and Password Manager does not work at all. I'm using IE9 RC 64 bit but also tried it out on Firefox and does not work. I'm running Win 7 64bit.
When I went to update my software Lenovo did recommend a patch for Password Manager 64 bit but nothing's working. Is there a fix/workaround to get it working in a 64 bit environment?
    Thanks John

    Hello mate,
Have you activated the TPM chip in the bios ?

  • I have a password manager built into my fingerprint scanner. It worked on the older version of Firefox but it will not on this new version. It will not recognize log in pages and will not load information.

With the old version, all I had to do was go to the log in page to any of my email accounts or membership sites and scan my finger. It would fill in the fields and open my account. I like this new version of Firefox, but if I am not able to use that password manager then I will have to install the older version.

A 2008 black MacBook can run OS X Lion (OS X 10.7). However, if you want to use that Mac for apps that do not work with the new MacBook, I recommend you to leave it with Mac OS X 10.6.8, because OS X Lion removes compatibility with PowerPC apps.
Do not worry about the battery of the new MacBook Pro. You can replace it yourself or take it to an Apple Store or reseller, and the cost is similar. However, it's important to take the Mac to an Apple Store or reseller if your Mac's battery fails while the Mac is in warranty, because you will get the battery replaced for free.

  • After updating to the new browser, my password managing program could not work any longer. I had to go back to the previous version but was wondering when this can be fixed?

RoboForm password manager stopped working when I updated to the latest version of Firefox. I will contact them as well but I am using rf version 6 and would have to pay (again) to update that program to version 7. This is a vital program because I use a lot of different sites and really would like to continue to use with the Firefox browser.

Thanks for your help.  I had already done the "forget this device" but had forgotten about the part of entering the passcode with the keyboard in order to pair.  I found my instruction sheet after I posted my cry for help and when I did the pairing procedure right, it worked.  It's weird that it decided to unpair itself.  Both my husband and our daughter have the same keyboard and neither of them have had this happen.  At least now I know what to do if it happens in the future.

  • This Nightly feedback, Steganos password Manager drop and drag functionality no longer works after last update.

Cut and paste still works but the drop and drag so longer works.
This for Nightly Beta 64 bit.

I too have the problem: W7 64 bit. Drag and drop worked until yesterday when I "upgraded" to FF v 26.0 - I can no longer drag passwords etc from my password manager to website fields - a barred circle appears when I try to drag.
I tried pressing ESC (one profferred solution) and also reset FF to no avail.
This is more than annoying: some of my passwords are dozens of characters long and there's no way I can access sites by typing them in! I need a solution, even if it's reverting to a previous version.

  • HP Protect tool password manager not working with the new version of Mozilla: I got this alert: "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (dpql) isn't associated with any program." please help

I have an HP ProBook 4520s. I have been using HP Protect tool's Password manager to store and manage my passords for all Login websites in Firefox 3.6. As a result, I just swiped my fingerprint to log on to any website.
After I installed the version 4 of Firefox, my all my login details do not work anymore. I have tried to reset them but I repeatedly get this error: "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (dpql) isn't associated with any program."
something like this would have been passed onto the address: "dpql://c:\program%20files%20(x86)\hewlett-packard\hp%20protecttools%20security%20manager\bin\dpminionlineids.dll/qlinkload.htm#id=2".
Although the password manager works with Internet Explorer 9, I need it to work with Firefox 4 as this is my preferred browser.
    Please help. Thank you!

I guess this means that IE is more user friendly for HP Password Manager finger swipe recall of passwords, a favorite of mine. I still don't see a post from Firefox as to why they haven't produced fix. So I'll switch to IE until things change. I don't see value in downgrading to a Firefox version that's no longer going to be supported.
