Password write back service status - not configured

I'm trying to test self-service password reset but I don't understand how to  get it work. Password write back service status is unconfigured. How it can be configured?
I have Office 365 with ADFS (3.0) and latest DirSync (enabled with Password Sync). They are working.

Hello,
Thanks for posting here!
As per the screen short provided, it appears to me that the AAD sync is not installed or configured properly.
Check this one:
Microsoft Azure Active Directory Sync Services
FYI: Password Writeback is an Azure Active Directory Sync component that can be enabled and used by the current subscribers of Azure Active Directory Premium. For more information, see

    Thank you very much for reply.
    In the following example, the cachestore element is not specified in the <read-write-backing-map-scheme> section. Instead, a class-name ControllerBackingMap is designated. What is the result?
    If ControllerBackingMap is a persistence entity, is the result same with that of cachestore-scheme?

  • Web Service Security not configured on this component.

    Hi Experts,
                           Before configuring the scenario, i went to RWB to check whether the comopnents are in active mode or not.
                                  Integration Engine XID
                                  Business Process Engine XID
                                  Mapping Runtime XID
                                  Adapter Engine XID
                                  Integration Engines
                          All components are in Green mode  Except Integration Engine, The Integration is in yellow mode
                           and shows the following details.
                         Details for 'Is Web service security available?'
                           Web Service Security not configured on this component.
    Can you give the solution for this.

    Hi,
                      1, While sending idoc from sapR/3 to PI , in r/3 sm58 shows the foll error:
    "No service for system SAPQA,client 200 in integration directory"*
                               Even the Bussiness sytem pointing R/3.
    From your initial post, it appears that you are using XID system and from above error, I believe you are trying to send the IDoc from QA system. R3 dev will communicate to PI dev, so verify the partner profile and ports in your IDoc Header settings.
                         2, When i execute the tcode sm58 in PI   it shows the following error:
                                   "Syntax error in program SAPLSXI_AC_CACHE _REFERESH"
    I am kinda confused how come sm58 tcode can show an error for this program, as sm58 is for checking the transactional RFCs and  SAPLSXI_AC_CACHE_REFERESH is for XI Cache refresh for Alert Category. Might be some one else can explain this.
                         3, WHEN I EXECUTE THE tcode SXI_CACHE
                                             Under the *STATUS OF RUNTIME CACHE
                                                           Unable to refresh cache contents
                                                           Error during last attempt toreferesh cache
                                                             (red colour triangle leading above both)
    Check this SAP Note 764176, might help in your situation.
    Worth reading - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0d/28e1c20a9d374cbb71875c5f89093b/frameset.htm
                        4, Still there is no messages in Message monitoring.
    Obviously because of error # 1, you are unable to send IDocs, how come you expect messages to reach PI ... strange, isn't it
    Hope this helps.

  • PerformancePoint Services is not configured correctly but I'm Site administrator

    Hi experts
    I recenlty create a business intelligence site and set my active directory user as administrator.
    I'm server and database administrator too.
    but when I want to create a data source I get this error:
    The Data source cannot be used because PerformancePoint Services is not configured correctly
    I see some solution in then interent but some of them say that should set unattended user for performance point service.
    I'm site administrator and Why I should set unattended user?
    thanks

    You should set the Unattended Execution Account if you don't want to set credentials for data sources.

  • "Services Registry not configured" popup when trying to search SR

    Dear Fellow VC 7.1 users,
    When I try to use the search function on the services registry in VC for CE 7.1 EHP1 SP3, I get the "Services Registry Wizard" popup telling me that "Services Registry not configured." The original configuration was not done by me, so I cannot say whether or not it was done with the configuration wizards, but I can tell you what I have done to try to resolve the problem.
    I have: configured the UDDI server; configured the Central Services Registry (ServicesRegistrySi), and ensured that the user the ServicesRegistrySiPort authenticates with has the roles SERVICES_REGISTRY_READ_WRITE and UDDI_TierN. I do not have an SLD configured in my CE 7.1 EhP1 environment, so I tried to follow the steps I found in an SDN how-to PDF doc that explained how to generate an SLD ID from the WSNavigator, but I was unable to do so because as soon as I clicked the "Service Registry" checkbox in WSNavigator, it threw an error message saying, "Cannot connect to Services Registry; check ServicesRegistrySi proxy definition settings."
    What am I missing here? Any suggestions (or even hints) would be welcome.
    Thanks,
    Terry Barker

    Thank you, Hezi, for your personalized attention. One month, a couple of WebEx sessions with Hezi, and one glacially slow customer message later, the problem is finally resolved!
    Here's a recap of the resolution:
    1. Through the WebEx sessions with Hezi, we determined that the problem was in the UDDI server setup, not in Visual Composer.
    2. I Opened a customer message and got hooked up with my new best buddy, Hristo (in SAP Bulgaria?). Hristo logged into our CE 7.1 system using WTS (Windows Terminal Services) Over the course of a couple of weeks and several WTS sessions, Hristo found that the standard, recommended ServicesRegistrySIPort End Point URL did not work in our system (for an unexplained reason). Hristo gave me the following incomprehensible URL to use instead:
    http://rnosappis1.igtsap.ad.igt.com:50000/sapws/sap.com/tc%7Eesi%7Euddi%7Esr%7Ews%7Eear_tc%7Eesi%7Euddi%7Esr%7Ews%7Eejbm_EJB_ServicesRegistrySiPort/ServicesRegistrySi/ServicesRegistrySiPort (You can find documents on SDN explaining the configuration of which I speak.)
    3. That got us past the "services registry not configured" error in VC, but a service registry search in VC found no services. In addition, we were now not able to publish any new web services in the registry.
    4. The next problem Hristo found was in the UDDI_DESTINATION and CLASSIFICATION_DESTINATION URLs. Ours were set up to look at SAP's public registry. I set them up according to the how-to documents I found on SDN. That got us past the "can't contact server" message to a new "web proxy authentication" error when trying to publish a service.
    5. The first problem with the publishing was the need to use fully qualified domain names in the WSDL URL. At first I used just "hemxintf-p" but I really needed to use "hemxintf-p.he.ad.igt.com".
    6. The second problem here turned out to be a mistake on my part when setting up the exclude list on the HTTP Proxy setup in NWA. The exclude list tells the system NOT to use the HTTP proxy when contacting certain (presumably internal) domains. I had used commas to separate the domains in the exclude list; as it turns out, you must use the vertical bar character as the separator.
    After all this, along with frustration bordering on desparation, I can now publish web services in the SR, browse and test them in WSNavigator, and search for and use them in Visual Composer. I hope that my detailed description of the resolution in my case might save others from suffering similar frustration. Thank you, Hezi. Thank you, Hristo. Thank you, God! I can now get on with my life!
    Cheers,
    Terry

  • P800 Controller error massage: Cache status not configured

    We have DL380 G6 server installed on customer site and we want to connect MSA 70 through SAS controller. P800 and P212 are installed with 512MB and  0MB cache respectively.
    we have tried to connect MSA on P800 with 512 MB cache but its giving an error in ACU i.e. Cache status not configured.
    Any one please assiston this error.
    Regards,
    imran

    hmmm seems the problem i got was a bit weird. the first server that I was using was only a Windows 2000 Professional Edition. When I installed both database and OAS in a Windows 2000 Server , I was able to deploy the WAR file properly and no NLS error was displayed. However, I'm still getting the servlet not deployed problem.
    I'm getting this in the status display of the WAR File
    context Not Loaded Servlet org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderServlet 0 0 0 1

  • OBI11g: Write Back INSERT is not working

    Hi All,
    Can anyone help me in providing the solution for Insert in writeBack For OBIEE11g.
    We are able to do a successful writeback for UPDATE.
    we have the INSERT command in the XML, from the report when we are trying to call the INSERT statement, but we are not able to
    How to activate INSERT statement in the XML Template?
    Please let us know the process of doing an INSERT using Writeback
    Thanks a lot in advance......!
    Regards,
    DCB

    I think I faced similar issue and just found solution:
    There are 2 statements defined in xml file: <insert> and <update>. Insert is executed only when edited table row have initially null in all columns. So you need a dummy row in destination database table with e.g. ID=0 and all column values = null.
    Dummy row is displayed in Analytics as a regular row but of course with empty column values. When you enter values into this row and apply changes, OBIEE will know to execute insert statement. In my case I generated ID for a new row from sequence: <insert>insert into Table1 (col_val1,col_val2,col3_id) values('@{cfe7691ea163b9e61}', '@{c8a3421607b213f07}', db_sequence.nextval)</insert>
    This way your dummy row with ID=0 will be never updated by OBIEE and will let you insert new rows to db table.
    You can refer to "19.8.3.1 How Write Back Works" in http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/bi.1111/e10541/answersconfigset.htm#BIESG1354

  • Web service security not configured

    Hi All,
    We have new PI system 7.1 ehp1, as an initial step installation is done including post installation.I have a task of checking if
    everything is in place as the same have to be confirmed to the team which did the installation.
    When i open RWB , i could see a message with warning "WS security not configured". aprat from this everything seems to be
    fine.
    Can anyone guide me on how to set us WS security and what is the use ,importance of having that configured?

    Hi,
    I dont think you have to configure Message level security configuration manually, i have done instaltion of PI 7.1,i have not seen any step like this.
    by default it will come after completion of postinstaltion succesfully.
    my advice better to move thread to SAP NetWeaver Administartion forums,you may get good replies./

  • ADFS or DirSync w/ Password Write-back?

    Hi all,
    I've been doing some research on this and just wanted to clarify on my findings...
    My company is trying to figure out which syncing solution would be the best fit for our special cases that we have.
    Environment:
    O365 fully deployed, users have two passwords, one for their machines and one for O365.
    PCs - All joined to the domain
    Macs - Not connected to the domain - has local user account w/ full admin rights
    Original Goal: Have both passwords synced so there's one less pw to remember and give users the ability to change pw on portal and have it sync to on-prem AD.
    I had thought that DirSync would have been the perfect fit since it has low overhead and doesn't require more than one dedicated server, but the more I read about it, the more I realize that to fulfill the goal of having users change their own passwords on
    O365 portal and to have it sync, I would either need to pay for AzureAD Premium to get the Password-writeback function or deploy ADFS instead.
    DirSync also mentions that once the users are synced, the cloud password is set to "NeverExpires" and that's definitely not what we want for the mac users since they never login to the domain aside from using the VPN.  I know there's a way to
    set the "NeverExpires" flag to $false for certain users, but in doing that, there doesn't seem to be a way to specify it to expire at the same time as my on-prem AD. It's also not very easy/ideal for my mac users to find a windows PC to change their
    domain password every 6 months.
    Ultimately, my question is given our situation and our end goal, would deploying ADFS or paying for AzureAD premium be our only options?

    There are a number of ways to handle this. In our 27k mailbox O365 environment, there are 8 AD single domain forests and other realms, with no trusts, with one of the forests syncing with O365. We use Sun IDM to manage sync locally,
    and ADFS to manage OWA. It's a bit complex and I can't say more than that, but it works nicely, albeit it's complexity. We are looking at Azure AD.
    I think if you post this to the ADFS forum, as one of the sticky posts in this forum suggests, you can bounce this question of others that work with ADFS and similar solutions on a daily basis to get their take on it. Here's the link:

  • IChat server admin Service Running, status not available

    X-Serve running 10.6.8
    I noticed the other day thaat when I look at the iChat service in Server Admin, I observed the following:
    iChat service is: Running
    Start Time: Not Available
    Domain: Not Available
    Client Connections: Not Available
    The log screen says No Log Files exist
    I have seen similar screens when there was a slight lag in server admin gathering information to display on screen.  This stays this way indefinately.  The service is working as far as I can tell, IE people can log in, add each other, and chat.  A log file is in fact being used and updated (/var/jabberd/message_archive/)
    I noticed this because I was trying to autobuddy.sh, I script I use often to update when I add new users to the organization so they show up in everyones group list.  I attempted to stop the service from the command line using:
    #:serveradmin stop jabber
    #:jabber: state = RUNNING
    and was never able to stop iChat.  The system behaves the same after a reboot.  I am not sure what to do, or what the actual problem is.  The only thing besides a reboot that I tried was a permission repair from within the OS.
    In the log below I removed some user specific information because they are user names for users on my network.  This server and service is internal only.
    the console logs I have this:

    Any help on what might be going on or a push in a direction would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Well I searched the forums here and I found some similar issues, however the fix's I was directed too did not resolve the problem.
    I did notice this today after reading a post regarding the use of the .local domain name, and fixing that fixes this issue:
    When i selected my server on the left hand side of server admin, click on settings at the top (the gear) then on Network, I see:
    Ethernet 1 (eth0) IPv4 192.1.1.4 Aphrodite.local
    I am not sure where the .local is coming from.  This is an internal server and has been configured with a FQDN for 2 years now, aphrodite.cotaoil.net.  On the server, the only other place I see the .local, is in system preferences, sharing, at the top it has my fqdn, but when I click on edit, it has a local host field that says Aphrodite, with a .local greyed out after, or ghosted.
    When I use the command changeip -checkhostname I recieve:
    changeip -checkhostname
    Primary address     = 192.1.1.4
    Current HostName    = aphrodite.cotaoil.net
    The DNS hostname is not available, please repair DNS and re-run this tool.
    dirserv:success = "success"
    the hostname not available message is new (well I know at some point in the not too distant past I did not have this message) so I am not sure if an update broke this or not but basically I am not sure where to go from here.
    The DNS settings are set the same as they were when I originally set up the server.  Reviewing DNS logs, I do not see anything abnormal.
    additionally when I run scutil i get:
    aphrodite:~ root# scutil --get LocalHostName
    Aphrodite
    aphrodite:~ root# scutil --get ComputerName
    Aphrodite.cotaoil.net
    I am a little stumped as to where to go from here.  I believe based on some other posts Ive read that this may have something to do with why I cannot see any iChat status and am recieving the dreaded "detailed service status not available until network configuration completed"
    Thanks for any and all thoughts.  Currently reviewing Hoffs tutorials, but I used combined Hoff tutorials and apple server guides when originally set up the server.  Please let me know what I did wrong (besides my internal IP range)

    I'm getting this error and is there any way to resolve this without re-creating the service/s again, etc. Just curious if there are any suggestions/steps I may have missed, if not, I'll drop and recreate the services again
    Anyway, I have a backup of the emkey.ora and put it in the sysman/config directory, but still doesn't work... please see below...

  • Write back from Excel into OBIEE?

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement, where in I have to write back into Oracle DB through OBIEE.
    The user will upload an excel/csv containing more than hundred records into OBIEE dashboard.
    The functionality is, on click of a (submit) button the OBIEE should write back into Oracle DB (through OBIEE) row by row taken from excel.
    Pls help if any one has any idea. I'm new to OBIEE tool.
    Have a great day!!!
    Thanks,
    Venky

    Why do you want to do that through OBIEE? It's not a data loading tool! The write-back functionality is explicitly built for sporadic updates and not for mass-import.
    From Booshelf:
    The write back feature is not suitable for entering arbitrary new records. In other words, do not
    use it as a data input tool.
    (Oracle Business Intelligence Presentation Services Administration Guide Version 10.1.3.2 - Configuring Report Write Back - Write Back Limitations)
    Use OWB, ODI, Informatica or any other ETL Tool for that (yes, I know ODI is ELT...don't start a flame war over that ;-)).
    Cheers,
    C.

  • Write Back Error OBIEE 11g

    I am facing the following error massege in writeback funtionality.
    I checked the value ,connection pool,writable,read/write permissions but not resolved the issue.
    "An error occurred while writing to the server. Please check to make sure you have entered appropriate values. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator."
    Any help about that ?

    Hi,
    http://satyaobieesolutions.blogspot.in/2013/03/write-back.html -- recheck your configuration following this link step by step with screen shots.
    http://satyaobieesolutions.blogspot.in/2012/06/obiee-10g11g-writeback-capabilities.html
    http://satyaobieesolutions.blogspot.in/2012/06/excel-data-source-writeback-in-obiee.html Note : The Problem Occurred two ways,
    1. Problem your XMl Script
    2. If null value not present in your columns in your table in database.The ; problem has occured.
    please check below steps.
    1. Are you using OCI or ODBC in your connection pool? Try it with OCI Call Interface 11g.
    2.Remove the commit tag from the XML file.
    <postUpdate>COMMIT</postUpdate>
    =============================================================================================================
    This xml file working for me.
    Insert--
    A couple of small adjustments got your XML to work here:
    <?xml version="1.0"; encoding="utf-8"?>
    <WebMessageTables xmlns:sawm="com.siebel.analytics.web/message/v1";>
    <WebMessageTable lang="en-us" system="WriteBack" table="Messages">
    <WebMessage name="WriteBack">
    <XML>
    <writeBack connectionPool="Connection Pool">
    <insert> INSERT INTO FACT (PRICE,PRODUCT_KEY,REGION_KEY,SALE_UNIT,TIMEKEY,SALES_QUOTA)
    values (@{c7},@{c8},@{c9},@{c10},@{c11},@{c5} ) </insert>
    <update> </update>
    </writeBack>
    </XML>
    </WebMessage>
    </WebMessageTable>
    </WebMessageTables>
    The <writeBack> tag is written with a lower case "w".
    The "connetionPool" needs an upper case "P".
    Update--
    I think that you have to specify also an SQL statement for the update tag, for example:
    <?xml version="1.0"; encoding="utf-8"?>
    <WebMessageTables xmlns:sawm="com.siebel.analytics.web/message/v1";>
    <WebMessageTable lang="en-us" system="WriteBack" table="Messages">
    <WebMessage name="pmet_update">
    <XML>
    <writeBack connectionPool="PMTCOG">
    <insert> select null from dual</insert>
    <update> UPDATE XREF_PMET_URL SET URL= '@{c1}' WHERE API='@{c0}'</update>
    </writeBack>
    </XML>
    </WebMessage>
    </WebMessageTable>
    </WebMessageTables>
    The witeback wants for both the tags (<insert></insert> and <update></update>) an SQL Statement.
    Hope this help's
    Thanks

  • Help on write back feature

    Hi All,
    I am working in Siebel Analytics 7.8.2.
    I have tried enabling write back feature in my application but I am not able to do so. The write back tab is enabled in the physical layer of repository. I have created a write back template. But the “Manage write back” option is not available in the Admin page. Could anyone please let me know whether any special license and configuration setting are required to enable write back in 7.8.2. ?
    Also please let me know the requirements and timeline to upgrade from SA 7.8.2 to 7.8.4. What are all the general factors (infrastructure change, additional components, configuration changes, etc) affecting the up gradation?
    Thanks.

    Hello Everyone,
    The write back feature is working fine. There was an issue privilege setting in rpd.
    Now one field is getting editable while pressing Update button in the dashboard report and type new value and pressing Apply button, data is getting updated in to DB table.
    To aviod the manual entry i want to enter a value from some kind of dropdown or any choice box. So could you please let me know how can i achieve this functionality.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Niraj

  • Error during write-back

    Hi I've installed BIEE on a XP machine, with the OC4J option. The machine also has Oracle10gR2 database on it.
    I've been able to set up a repository and this is accessing the database ok. The answers page shows my created presentation layer.
    I'm now trying to implement write back and think the configuration to be correct (more than likely not) other than the connection pool in the xml. Anyway I get the following error(s) when I press commit on the dashboard.
    (I've tried the sql direct and this works)

    everything else seems to work. The machine has full oracle on (so includes tns etc)

    Ok found my error.
    Connection pool in repository had space in name "Connection _Pool" instead of "Connection_Pool", only visible if you cut and paste the connection details from repository into note pad.
    Every thing now works.
