PATTERN is driving me crazy, pls. suggest me good syntax

Hello
Bcz of i placed PATTERN under DISPLAY tab, am getting errosrs like "Integer has too many digits", "Empty is too long"...I am guessing these are all bcz of some SPACES on these value fields, but not sure from where these spaces are coming? may be user entered some value and just moved the cursor/space bar right hand side, not sure, how to truncate space in BINDING tab's pattern?
I have 12 value fields in my form, they are for quantities, volumes, price, amounts. I put them as Decimal fields and each field has its own length, as mentioned below
1) Volume field - Decimal field - Limit leading digits as 15 and Limit trailing digits as 3
I put the Pattern only on Display tab as below (I didn't put any pattern any other tab, like Binding, Edit, Valiodation tabs)
By selecting the num.integer on SELECT TYPE left side, I put as below
null{}|zero{}|num.integer{}
(Checked Allow Empty, Allow Zeros check boxes)
Pls. help me by telling What is the correct syntax i need to put here?
Do i need to put pattern also any other tab, like under BINDING tab, if so, psl. let me know the syntax?
By selecting the num.decimal on SELECT TYPE left side, I put as below
null{}|zero{}|num.decimal{}

Do i need to put pattern also any other tab, like under BINDING tab, if so, psl. let me know the syntax?
2) Price field - Decimal field - Limit leading digits as 14 and Limit trailing digits as 4

3) Subsidy in % field - Decimal field - Limit leading digits as 2 and Limit trailing digits as 2

Thank you

Thank you.
Pls. let me know
1) My understading from your answer is, i need NOT to put any PATTERN in BINDING tab? am i correct?
2) Sure, i will put the suggested below syntax, but pls. let me know do i need to select any entry from the left side box (as shown in the black box in below screen shot?) and then i put the suggested below syntax/patern? or i don't need to select any entry from the left box as shwon in below screen shot as black box?
null{'Enter a Number'}|num{zzz,zzz,zzz,zzz,zz9.999}
3) For example, if i select num.deciaml {} option.....then the blue high lighted part is coming as trail part to the syntax? is it OK, let it come?
4) So, i guess, for 2 leading and 2 training length, i need to put below pattern, am i correct?
null{}|num{z9.99}
Edit pattern would be for 2,2 is as below, am i correct?
null{}|num{z9.888}
5) Do i need to check the ALLOW EMPTY and ALLOW ZERO check boxes? or not?
6) By chance, if user put spaces, then I want to truncate spaces / delete the spaces in the middle of data or anywhere in the data/field, so can i use as below? if not, pls. suggest me for get rid off spaces from anywhere in the field, bcz i am guessing these crap spaces is causing an issues for me
null{'No data'}|num{zzz,zzz,zzz,zzz,zz9.999}
Thank you

  • Help! This is driving me crazy. CASE statement report syntax error (missing operator)

    Hi
    Can anyone help with this SQL statement please. It uses a
    CASE statement but I keep getting back a syntax error (missing
    operator) error message. The SQL statement works without the CASE
    statement, so everything else is fine - its just when I put the
    CASE statement back in.
    Here's the SQL statement:-
    SELECT transactions.ourRef, transactions.transDate, CASE WHEN
    transactions.transTypeID = 2 THEN transactionDetails.goodsVatable *
    -1 ELSE transactionDetails.goodsVatable END,
    transactionDetails.goodsNonVat, transactionDetails.VAT,
    transactionDetails.grandTotal, clients.clientCode,
    transTypes.transTypeDesc
    FROM transactions, transactionDetails, clients, transTypes
    WHERE transactions.transID = transactionDetails.transID
    AND transactions.clientID = clients.clientID
    AND transactions.transTypeID = transTypes.transTypeID
    TransID = 2 means that its a credit not instead of an
    invoice, therefore I want the goods vatable returned as a negative
    number.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Motorola Citrus driving me crazy!

    This phone will NOT capitalize the letter "I" automatically.  I am using the multi-touch keyboard ---- auto-correct errors is enabled.  I also added "I" to my dictionary.  How can I fix this?  It is driving me CRAZY!
    Thanks,
    Dana

        Good afternoon danasuemc.
    It sounds like you've done almost everything to get the "I" corrected on your phone. I'd be frustrated as well. Let's see if we can get this permanently fixed.
    Using the Multi-Touch keyboard, do you have Auto-Capitalization and Auto-Punctuate checked? So make sure, you can go to Menu> Settings> Language & Keyboard> Multi-touch Keyboard> then check Auto-Capitalization and Auto-Punctuate. Please let me know if this works.

    My iPad 2 won't charge and it's completely shut down. I've tried pressing the two buttons simultaneously, but nothing works. It's driving me crazy! Any offers of suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    1. The most efficient way to charge an iPad is with the charger that came with the iPad and having that plugged into a wall outlet. Trying to charge while connected to a laptop often doesn't work because the USB port may not provide enough power.
    2. Once an iPad battery has completely drained it may take an hour or more on the wall charger before the iPad responds. So after an hour on the charger reset the iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
    3. If the iPad still does not start up make an appt at the Apple store. It will be far better if you have an appointment rather than just walking in because those with appointments will be taken care of before you are.

    Every time I sync my Iphone 5c(with ios 8) to Itunes, it 1. deletes all of my purchased music 2. deletes all of my album artwork 3. replaces all of my deleted songs. please help! this is driving me crazy! It syncs 100+ songs, when I only want to sync 1! I'm running Itunes 11.3.1.2

    After having experienced similar problems and having it back to work, I have a few suggestions:
    - Try to find out if the syncing stops at a particular track or song. That might - out of the blue - have gotten corrupted in one way or another. Since that song will not be on the iPod, iTunes will try over and over to put it on and crash in one way or another;
    - reformat the iPod as described in the iTunes 9 crash-thread. It takes time (at first it seems to do nothing, but that is because the green bar is moving with very small steps);

  • Ipad intermittant tone driving me crazy!

    In the past two weeks, my iPad has intermittantly sounded some tone (four notes with third one raised) with NO other type of notification.  I have turned EVERY notification I can find OFF and yet it still sounds from time to time ... I can NOT figure out what this tone is, and it's driving me crazy.  I know I can mute the whole iPad, but that's crazy.  Does anyone have a suggestion of how to troubleshoot where this tone is coming from?

    Heh heh.  It is an app.  Somewhere.  Trying to tell you something.  And you may go nutz looking for it.  There was one case where an app kept asking a user to give it a rating, and dinged at the same time, middle of the night, if I recall.  Anyway, I don't know how much stuff you may have, but look thru your apps for the guilty party.  Anything with an alarm clock involved is a first place to look.

  • Loud clicking iPhone 5 home button (driving me crazy!)

    I got my iPhone 12/25/12, so its only about 7 months old. Its always been well protected (first 6 months was in an otterbox, and now i use a lifeproof case) and its never gotten wet or dirty. Anyway now suddenly the home button is making a horrible clicking noise every time i press it and it also seems to have a little resistance (like its harder to press down). At first I thought it could maybe be the case, but that's definitely not it because i took it out and it still makes the clicking noise. Its driving me crazy! I played with it for a few minutes while it was out of the case and held it pressed down for a while and it stopped making the clicking noise (that lasted like 5 minutes). Could it be dirty? I cant imagine how it got dirty, but is there somehow I can fix this? Somehow I can maybe clean it without damaging the phone? Please help its really annoying.

        That's certainly odd, Sheryl84! I'm also a proud owner of iPhone 5. There is clicking noise when pressing down on the home button. That's pretty normal.
    I do know from personal experience. The home button does attract food particles as its the best/ easiest way to navigate the phone at times.
    There isn't a way to clean the home button but I do suggest a hands on with the device to better determine the clicking noise from the device.
    There is also an accessibility option that you change so that you don't have to press the home button. Settings> General > Accessibility> Assistive Touch > On

  • Running so slow its driving me crazy!!

    i finally got my mac up and running with the new 300mb seagate harddrive, but its driving me crazy how slow it is. even if i open up system preferences, it takes almost a minute to pop up.
    what can I do? a semi-professional looked at it and was guessing the processor is just slow. it is the dual processor 1mghz. he took out a ram card a couple months ago - i had bought an extra 256mb (i'm hoping these are right - i'm recalling off the top of my head) and left it in a plastic bag. okay to put it back in? what dangers could that cause?
    please - any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
    thanks.

    Generally, 512MB of RAM is a good minimum for OS 10.4.
    More is better, depending on how you use it.
    As far as how to speed it up.

  • Static interference thru speakers driving me crazy

    I am using the airport express with klipsh speakers for my sound. there is a mexican radio station that is playing at a very low but very annoying level thru the speakers. I have a 2.4 cordless phone on my desk as well as a printer plugged into the AX. I unplugged the phone and it is not coming from there. I restarted the AX as well as the modem and it's still there. The only way it stops is when I unplug the speakers. So the speakers themselves are somehow picking up this interference it looks like. Any suggestions? It's driving me crazy.

    Since the static did not follow the speaker to another source at least you now know that the problem is not in the speakers. I would have the sound card in your Mac checked, something seems to be sending out a strong enough magnetic wave to overcome the shielding in the speakers.

    That is unfortunate to put up with.
    There might still be some simple cures yet to try.
    The entire house wiring may be one cause picking up the source and is using your devices as final output.
    1. I'd look for a power conditioned master brick to plug your PowerBook, and other devices.
    USP back up power devices can also condition the power lines noise.
    There are all types available as listed:
    http://www.thecablepro.com/cableDetail.php?cID=120&cgID=1
    Each of the 12 outlets is individually filtered and double filtered from every other outlet providing maximum component to component isolation.
    http://www.crutchfield.com/ search 'surge'
    2. The Cables: as mentioned where chokes are already in place on them. Most USB come with them.
    3. The Speakers: Not sure, but they must be the self powered type as well from AC wall outlet. That brand is known for high quality.
    Could foil the inside of cabinets “Faraday Cage” to reduce radio signals.
    4. AC Outlets: Are they 3 prong grounded type?
    Check your fuse box area to see if a ground cable
    (roughly 4-6 gauge) is fastened to plumbing, and should be.
    You can also pick up a ground fault checker that just plugs into outlet to verify correct outlet wiring. A HomeDepot tool about $6.
    5. Lead from PowerBook to speakers:
    If this lead is extra long leading to speakers, it too could gather radio.
    If you have extra cat 5 laying around, convert the ends to make alternate lead. Each pair in the cable is color coded like Blue/Blue Wt. These pairs are twisted to shield out interference together with foil rapped covering. Or get shielded cable.
    In the old days of Amps doing all the power to speakers, some people would have a pile of wire rolled up behind speaker, and it also made a perfect antenna.
    Lamp cords: Make sure these cords are not mixed in with your devices. As in crossing over each other.
    Dimmers: If you have lamps on line dimmers, they can go bad over time and cause interference.
    Then back to circuit panel and cut off each circuit to isolate other sources.
    Hopefully you solve it.

  • Java is driving me crazy

    Hello all,
    I had this BIG problem for a while and it's really driving me crazy. Simply, I have a java application (it uses tomcat). The application is run through a batch file. Now my biggest problem is that I need to turn it into an NT service.
    I were actually able to create a service to start the batch file (using AutoExNT.exe for Windows, that comes with the resource kit, I believe you know it). No how do I stop the server when the user stops the service, this is what I am troubled with.
    I am open to any suggestions, I might even get rid of this autoexnt.exe solutions, please advise.
    Any ideas, Appreciate your help very much.
    Thanks in advance,
    Samer Meqdad.

    The message is a generic message from Windows. It is very frequent since many NT services are just plain old Windows apps converted to a service but implementing only the minimum (start/stop) of the interface with the Service Manager. My guess is that the Tomcat NT service is one of those.
    Fortunately, most of the times, the only reason why the Windows app would run and not the corresponding NT service is because of security issues coming from an incorrect configuration. So, you should try the following : Into the "Services" Control Panel, "Startup..." button for your Tomcat will display a dialog with the user account running the service. Try using your user account. If you're able to run Tomcat, the Service Manager should be able to run it on your behalf.
    Another thing to try would be to use the Local System account with "allow service to interact with desktop" checked in case it wasn't. The reason is that normally services are designed to work without anybody logged in and no desktop where to create windows whereas most plain Windows app turned into services will create a window even if it's not visible nor absolutely required.
    (I'm looking at a french NT, so, labels may differ slightly from my translation)
    Hope it helps

    Even if it is a hardware problem they should fix it regardless of warranty. If you buy a car and after 1.5 years the doors fall off due to a failure in their design and construction, do you think the car manufacturer could pull off what Apple is trying to do? Yes the car still delivers its primary objective of driving from A to B, but significant functionality has been lost due to their fault.
    It is the same with this iPhone wifi problem. Apple are a disgrace, I have had significant Apple Hardware failures with my MacBook Pro and iPhone within 2 years of purchase. Pathetic quality.

    help. my iTunes wont open. I keep getting the message error7 (windows error 193). contacted Microsoft they said contact iTunes support. I have uninstalled all iTunes componets and then reinstalled everything but message still comes up... its driving me crazy.

    If it's a Windows error, it's typically going to be a Microsoft problem. Uninstall any security software you have and if you have a restore point for your PC, you may want to restore your PC back to when iTunes was working normally. If none of those work you would need to contact Microsoft and demand help.
