Payload and pipeline

hi all
pls define the words payload and pipeline
Thanks.

Hey Sri,
The place where you see your data in SXMB_MONI is called as payload.
Pipeline: As soon as you test any data in xi it goes through xi-pipeline. Below are the pipeline steps in sequence.
<b>Receiver Identification</b>
Determine which system(s) should participate in an exchange with incoming message.
<b>Interface Determination</b>
For each receiver system determine which interface(s) should receive a message.
<b>Message Branch (Message Split)</b>
If multiple receivers are found, XI will instantiate new message for each receiver.
<b>Request Message Mapping</b>
Call the mapping program to perform the message structure to the receiver format.
<b>Outbound Binding (Technical Routing)</b>
Bind a specific destination and protocol to the message.
<b>Call Adapter</b>
Send the transformed message to the adapter or proxy.

Sarvesh

    what are the steps to create a consignment and pipeline purc order. what are the pre-requisite in MM?

    Hi,
    The process are:
    #Consignment Process:
    Vendor provides materials & stores them on your company premises. The vendor remains the legal owner of the material until you withdraw material from consignment stores. The steps:
    a. ME11,
    b. Create Contract, ME31 ( item category K)
    c. ME01 (enter Contract Number)
    d. Create PR( item category K)
    e. Create PO ( item category K)
    f.GR
    g.GI
    h. Consignment Settlement
    The Accounting Generated After GR/GI/Settlement are:
    1.Goods Receipt
         No Accounting Movement

  • Consignment and Pipeline Settlement - MRKO

    Hi All,
    Is there any way to remove Zero and Negative values from 'Consignment and Pipeline Settlement' (MRKO). I am having material documents with Zero and Negative values and when I tried to Settle them, so that would not appear next time in the list, getting error "Zero value in amount is not allowed". Is there any way I can delete them so that these record will not appear in MRKO.
    Thanks
    Anil

    Hi Anil,
    How you are getting ZERO and Negative Vale for consignment?
    Consignment settlement will happens after withdrawal of goods or after Sales based on your Consignment Purchase Info record.

  • QOS - VOIP traffic: payload and signalling

    Two questions For VOIP traffic,
    Q.1. should the payload and signalling be assigned the same COS ?? to avoid losing Signalling traffic.
    Q.2. flash upgrades to the phone sets are tftp. Should this traffic be assigned COS=0 or the same cos as the signalling traffic ? Phone flash gets corrupted if some of these packets are lost ?
    thanks for your help,

    Hello,
    best practice puts signaling into another class than voip "payload" as you named it.
    The reason is that the qos requirements are different. Signaling needs guaranteed bandwidth, voip needs low delay and guaranteed bandwidth.
    TFTP can be placed into signaling class or in a separate class.
    An example config could look like this:
    ip cef
    class-map match-any VoIP
    match ip dscp ef cs5
    match protocol rtp audio
    class-map match-any VoIPsignal
    match ip dscp cs3
    class-map match-all TFTP
    match protocol tftp
    policy-map VoIPprio
    class VoIP
    priority percent 10
    class VoIPsignal
    bandwidth remaining percent 5
    class TFTP
    bandwidth remaining percent 5
    class class-default
    fair-queue
    random-detect
    interface Serial0
    ip address ...
    service-policy output VoIPprio
    You would have to adjust the bandwith ratios for your needs and the interface naming to your environment.
    The policy will give 10% of the link to voip traffic with lowest possible delay, 5% of the rest for voip signaling, 5% to TFTP and the rest for the other data present.
    Hope this helps

  • Can I have a custom RTP payload, and still use a MediaLocator?

    Hi,
    I think I am a little confused. Can I have a custom RTP payload, and still use Manager.createPlayer(MediaLocator locator) to create my player?
    This doesn't seem possible because the RTPManger's addPayload(Format format, int payloadType) method isn't static, forcing me to always create my RTPManager first.
    Is this a valid observation, or am I missing something?
    Your comments are highly appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Erwin

    Thanks for your prompt reply.
    The short answer is yes.
    The MediaLocator is used to identify the source, or destination for a media stream. For example this could be a file (file://c:\mydisk\audio.wav) or a URL (http://mydomain/music/audio.wav)
    Ok, I get that, but the MediaLocator is also used to identify the protocol, rtp in this case, and the protocol in its turn is used by the framework to locate the DataSource. I am not suggesting what you write is incorrect, I am only trying to understand how this works the way it does.
    RTP is used to transport streaming media in real time over a network (usually UDP).And that is exactly what I need it for.
    The receiver of an RTP stream is an RTP receiver. Players take the datasource(created from the MediaLocator) and feed the data to the RTP manager so it can be streamed across the network or vice versa.
    The vice versa part is what I am interested in. I need to handle a proprietary video format, packed as RTP, and shipped over UDP. My initial approach was to simply register my DePacketizer with the PlugInManager, and add my custom payload type to the RTPHandler (addFormat(Format fmt, int type)). That obviously doesn't work.
    So what I'm trying to convey is that the MediaLocator used in creating a Player will be different, and is used for a different purpose, than the Internet address, and Port used to create an RTPManager.I need a good night of sleep to think that over. I.m.h.o. there is no reason to handle "http://host:port/video/whatever.ext" different from "rtp://host:port/video/whatever.ext". The only difference is that in the first case I can build my graph based on the extension of whatever, and in the second case I have to wait for my first packet in order to determine the payload type. In both cases I expect "DataSource ds = Manager.createDataSource(ml) to work (and it probably does for the standard payload types).
    The JMF framework has a .../media/protocol/rtp/DataSource class as well as a .../media/protocol/http/DataSource class.
    Is this making any sense?Not sure yet, but I certainly appreciate your help.
    Note: In general you don't need to create a custom Payload for RTP.
    What if I want to ship a proprietary video format?
    Thanks a lot,
    Erwin

  • Reading Advance Queuing with XMLType payload and JDBC Driver character encoding

    Hi
    I've got a problem retrieving the message from the queue with XMLType payload in Java.
    It was working fine in 10g database but after the switch to 11g it returns corrupted string instead of real XML message. Database NLS_LANG setting is AL32UTF8
    It is said that JDBC driver should deal with that automatically but it obviously don't in this case. When I dequeue the message using database functionality (DBMS_AQ package) it looks fine but not when using JDBC driver so Ithink it is character encoding issue or so. The message itself is enqueued by the database and supposed to be retrieved by dedicated EJB.
    Driver file used: ojdbc6.jar
    Additional libraries: aqapi.jar, xdb.jar
    All file taken from 11g database installation.
    What shoul dI do to get the xml message correctly?

    Do you mean NLS_LANG is AL32UTF8 or the database character set is AL32UTF8? What is the database character set (SELECT value FROM nls_database_parameters WHERE parameter='NLS_CHARACTERSET')?
    Thanks,
    Sergiusz

  • Synchronous message QOS in PI 7.1 and pipeline services QOS

    Hi All,
             As I understand,PI uses pipelines services (other than integrated Configuration based on AAE) for routing and mapping.Synchronous messages have QOS as BE.If they are also implemented as pipelines services,how does the QOS of pipeline queues (ie EO/EOIO) relate to QOS of BE.
    Some how thinking of queues always relates to asyn messages(other than temp or request/response queues),so I am bit confused how a synchronous message flow uses pipelines queues which are asyn in nature.

  • Why do some messages contain a response payload, and some don't

    I have noticed that when we send a message into an IDoc adapter, the message in XI contains the original data in the Inbound Message (CENTRAL)/Payloads/MainDocument section, and the final version of the transformed message which the IDoc adapter receives appears in the Response/Payloads/MainDocument section.
    However, when we send an IDoc out from the system and the transmitting communication channel is a file adapter in FTP mode, for example, then the IDoc appears in the Inbound Message (CENTRAL)/Payloads/MainDocument section, but the Response/Payloads/MainDocument section is empty.
    What is the reason for this? Does the adapter type determine if you will get a MainDocument back in the Response section of the message? Is there any way to get this with a file adapter?
    BR,
    Tony.

    Hi Anthony,
    It may be because of the engines available on different stacks.
    That is Integration engine is available on ABAP stack and Adapter engine is available on Java stack.
    What ever you explained is on the basis of Integration engine monitoring, then it may be due to IDoc adapter is on Integration Engine. Hence you will get the response message after executing integration logic on Integration engine.
    But if you see file adapter, you will get the output only when it passes through Adapter engine. Perhaps if you see in Message monitoring in Adapter engine, you will get to see the output message.

  • Payload and Trace Search in SXMB_MONI

    All,
    We are on PI 7.11. As I understand the only way to have payload search capability in PI in production environment is through TREX. So I was thinking of writing a custom ABAP program for the same.
    Another thing is when we use multiple operations in one service interface, the only way to find in moni which operation actually got executed is to go through the trace in sxmb_moni.  So how about a custom ABAP program to read the trace.
    Your Thoughts.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    That link is not much useful to me (I mean all the settings for fine in sxmb_adm..that i checked already)

  • Digital Sign into payload and other security doubts

    Hello experts,
    I have a RFC_to_SOAP scenario, and I have to digitally sign the information of the outbound payload (comming from the RFC sender) AND add it to the inbound payload (send it to the target web service, which imported wsdl file is forcing me to include that sign).
    In order to do so, can I use the receiver agreement option for digitally sign the document? I guess I can't because it would be added to the payload. So how to do it? Should it be done in message mapping as java mapping? Any indications about how to do that?
    Besides I have a doubt about the certification settings in the receiver soap channel and the sign settings in receiver determination. What's exactly the difference? What does each of them with the message?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ivan, thank you for your response.
    I'm trying to develope a module for the soap adapter as you suggested, however I have a question about what you said.
    If you only want to sign the content of the XML and not sing the whole payload you can use a Java Mapping
    What exactly do you mean with signing the whole payload or just the content?
    If I have this xml
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
      <ListaDecV3Ent xmlns="https://www3.aeat.es/ADUA/internet/es/aeat/dit/adu/adht/banent/ListaDecP3Ent.xsd">
      <declarante>
      <NifDeclarante>27456992N</NifDeclarante>
      <NombreDeclarante>José Gutierrez</NombreDeclarante>
      </declarante>
      </ListaDecV3Ent>
    with signing only the content you mean that it would only make the digest and encription of the text 27456992N and José Gutierrez, and signing the whole payload would digest and encritp the xml tags too? If so I need the whole payload to be signed.
    Couldn't be that done in java mapping?
    By the way I've seen documentation indicating that in order to program an adapter module, a J2EE Java Bean must be developed and deployed to the server. However I'm working in PI 7.1 and in the module tab of the channel I see the option to use a Java Library instead (the options are local enterprise bean, remote enterprise bean and java library). Is it possible? Any info on how it works?
    About my doubts in the previous post, if I use the receiver agreement sign option, where would exactly be the sign be placed in the message, and what would it exactly sign?
    Any forum mate who can answer is welcome
    PD: Ivan I'll open a thread in the spanish forum too if you want to talk there
