Payment terms and Baseline date deact. during posting

Is it possible to deactivate fields: Payment terms and Baseline date in FB60 and MIRO so that the user can't change them? Terms of payment are defined in Vendor Master Data and shouldn't be changed during posting.

Hi,
You can use Screen Variants using T.Code  SHD0 . You can make certain field as display only. You can use the help of your abapers......

Now user want to get these fields to be updated even not changes take place in OBA3.Can you please suggest me the way,  with out changes in OBA3 can we get payment term and baseline date field after residual clearing .Please suggest .
    Thank you

    Hi Julie,
    Thanks for your reply..
Here the issue is, the user using Baseline date for two specific purpose.
    1.Due day calculation-auditing purpose
    2.Agning report
For due day calculation they recently enable the option "payment term from invoice in -OBA3".Due to active the function, system copy the payment term and baseline date from invoice to residual item.it means the residual item having baseline data as invoice date not posting date.
But for aging report purpose it has to be update posting date.
now user want to meet these both requirement .How can it possible .Please suggest.
    Thank you

  • Question about Payment term and due date

  • Instalment payment terms and Due date

    Hello
Can i have some comments on how the due date will be calculated in case of instalment payment terms.what is the configuration needed. Can we get the discount for each instalment if we pay in advance i.e before the due date.
    with regds
    RAJA

Installment payment terms is basically one payment term linked to other paymnet term(s).
If you split it to 3 lines, each of the 3 lines will get the payment term assigned for that line.
E.g. you will configure as follows: (obb9)
Inst Pmt Term  Inst     %       Payment term
    0001                  1     20              AAAA
    0001                  2     30              BBBB
    0001                  3     50              CCCC
If you post an invoice (of say 1000) with the pmt term 1, it will split to 3 lines
    Line         Amt            Pmt term
    1             200                AAAA
    2             300                BBBB
    3             500                CCCC
All the terms created for AAAA BBBB CCCC will apply to these lines.

  • Payment terms and Due date field gets emptied after residual clearing

    Hi
There is advance of Rs.50000 in Vendor ledger and Invoice of Rs.200000 (with payment term - G019)
I cleared these two line items (residual clearing). One new line item got created of Rs.150000. When i saw that line item, i saw that there payment term field and due date field got emptied. My requirement is that the original payment term entered in initial invoice document (of Rs.200000) should automatically get populated in new line item of Rs.150000.
    How to fulfill this requirement?

    Thanks for the prompt reply.
I wanted to ask one more thing. Same way when i do partial clearing (not residual), is it possible to populate the invoice's due date in advance line item. One link is that my invoice reference gets populated advance line item. So i want due date (not payment term) also to get populated in advance line item.
    Please help.

  • Sales Credit Memos, Payment terms and due date for payment

    Hello all,
does anyone out there know how to get the terms of payment assigned to sales credit memos taken into account when the due date for payment is calculated in the accounting document?  (I know this is a bit puzzling as why should one need payment terms for a credit memo)
I have looked at SAP notes 17410 et al..but remain unclear re how 'V' is populated in BSEG-REBZG.

Number of the Invoice the Transaction Belongs to
For line items which are related to another line item, this field contains the number of the partner document.
    Use
In the standard system the field is used for:
o   Credit memos which refer to a particular invoice item
o   Subsequent invoices for an invoice item
o   Partial payments for an invoice item
o   Partial clearings of down payments.
In the first two cases mentioned, the terms of payment are copied from the cross-referenced invoice item into the item currently being processed. This ensures that items due on the same date are paid together by automatic payment.
A special rule applies to credit memos which have a "V" in this field.  The due date is determined in the same way as for an invoice. If the field is empty (containing neither a document number nor a "V") the due date is the baseline date for payment.

  • Discount cal by looking at 'Terms of Payment' and 'Baseline date'

    Hi,
We have activated check box (Max. cash discount) in FBZP tcode for company code CUSA. As a result, when we run F110 (Vendor payment transaction), system is just looking at 'Terms of payment' and not 'Baseline date' and calculating discount FOR ALL VENDORS if the payment terms allow. However, there are some vendors where we need to look at both 'Terms of Payment' and 'Baseline date' and calculate discount.
How we can do this ? I checked up in F110 if there are any user exits so that we can put our own code for certain vendors, but I did not find any.
    Any other solution for above.
    Pl let us know.
    Niranjan

    Hi Sridhar,
Thanks for the help, but that will not help us. What you recommend is Alternative Baseline date. We cannot use that as we cannot ask users to enter all the terms of payment details while posting invoice. It is a waste of time. We want something that involves less time in entering data in SAP AND that will solve our current problem. I am looking for better solution.

  • Invoice verification Invoice date,Posting date and Baseline Date

    Hi Sap Gurus
Pls Tell Me in detail what Dates should be entered at MIRO transaction,
Invoice date,Posting date and Baseline Date
i presumed that the date on the Invoice slip will be Invoice date,
But in the Invoice the Date is very long back, say a month Older,
the month of Posting as Posting date, but any posting Date made in MIRO will be Paid after 2 or 3 months so in this case what should be the Posting date.
at Base line date in the present company Senario the Discount on Vendor payment is literally valid for all the time , say
In Invoice if the condition is 10% discount if paid in 30 days is given.
but in actual sense the Vendor is paid 10% less even if he is paid after 4 or 6 months also, so in this case what should be the Entry in Baseline date
another senario is the vendor has sent only one Invoice for 2 POs how can this be accomadated in SAP
    Pls suggest its Urgent,
Age may have a Bar, But Points No Bar
    Thanks and Regards
    Sathish

    Hi
LIV is nothing but You are getting Invoice from the Vendor for your PO   and GR.....and you are checking the Invoice for Price, Qty,Amount etc. by refering the PO  and posting the Invoice...
    Invoice Date :
The date of Vendor' Invoice...ie) Date at which the vendor Raised the invoice for his supply against your PO...
    Posting Date :
The Date at which you actually Verifying Vendor's Invoice and doing the Posting...
    base line date :
        Generally the Posting Date...
The Imp. of Baseline date is for eg)
If in the Payment Terms if some conditions are maintained like say
10% Discount for Payment With in 30 days, if
    PO created on 01.11.2007.
    GR done at 10.11.2007.
Invoice slip Received at 30.11.2007 but having the Date on it as 20.11.2007...
So as per your terms you will get 10% Discount if you make the payment on or  20.12.07....
Here if you keep  inv. Date: 20.11.2007  and Posting Date : 30.11.2007  and Baseline Date as  30.11.2007 ( you cannot maintain baseline date earlier than  Posting date)....even though as per terms the you are  eligible for discount if you make the payment on or before 20.11.2007.....as per the system you are still eligible to get the Discount if you make payment on or 30.12.2007( since you have maintained baseline date as 30.11.2007)...
this way Baseline date is Importane...
Generally we use to maintain always Posting Date as Baseline date....
    It is advantageous..
    Reward if useful

  • Payment terms on delivery date

    Hi Gurus,
    1. Can we create payment terms based on delivery date instead of posting date or document date?
My client has requirement to create payment term based on delivery date.
    2. Can we have assign payment terms on billing level?
    Please guide me.
    Regards
    Rakesh

    Hello Rakesh;
This is a rule not common, not used. In the standard way we can't.
The function of t-code OBB8 and OBB9 is very limited. Please, read note 112385
As you can see, the baseline date of billing posted from SD to FI, is always the billing date.
Also, if you matained a terms of payment at billing item level, the system create a split

  • Payment Terms (Fixed Due Date)

    Hi All,
I have a requirement where in I need to set up a new Payment term 123 as an installement payment term.
The payment term is divided as follows:
Payment Term A: 25% (Due Immediately)
Payment Term B: 25% (Payable on May 30)
Payment Term C: 25% (Payable on June 30 => Baseline date calculation: Fixed day: 30 additional months:1)
Payment Term D: 25% (Payable on October 30 => Baseline date calculation: Fixed day: 30 additional months: 5)
Now the above can we achieved by creating a condition type (VK11) and adding the Main Payment Term 123 in that condition type with a fixed due date.
Then corresponding payment terms B,C and D can be set according to the fixed due date(mentioned in condition type) in OBB8
But how do I capture the payment term A since it will be on the basis of Billing date and not fixed due date mentioned in condition type.
Also, please suggest an alternate approach in setting up the above payment term 123 and if any ABAP effort is also required.
    Thanks,
    Aruna

    HI,
You can use the custom development for it:-
    (A) For FI Documents:-
Use FI Substitution in OBBH with exit.
For field day1 (BSEG-ZBD1T) and baseline date (BSEG-ZFBDT). Here check the baseline date for October?
    Your ABAPer can code this.
    (B)For SD Documents:-
    Use user exit EXIT_SAPLV60B_008.
This exit has table ACCIT which also has same fields Day1 and Baseline date. Follow same logic mentioned above.

  • Deferred payment terms and Tax due immediatly

    Hi,
We would like to know if there is a workaround in SAP to post the customers invoices tax amount with a different due date of the deferred payments. The deferred payments amount will not include tax.
What we would like to do according to our business requirement (this is not a legal requirement in Canada) is to do the postings as follow. Let say we have an invoice which full amount is 1,000$, 100$ are taxes. There are 3 instalments. The posting would be as follow:
DR Customer account 100$ net due 15th of March (tax amount)
DR Customer account 300$ net due 15th of June (1st installment)
DR Customer account 300$ net due 15th of July (2nd installment)
DR Customer account 300$ net due 15th of August (3rd installment)
    CR Sales Tax 100$
    CR Revenue 900$
Tax rate vary accoding to the province in Canada. Therefore, creating a payment term per number of deferred payments (1 to 24) * number of provinces (13) * first payment due date (1 to 24) is not feasable since it is a pain to maintain (too many payment term to create).
Some of our invoices are interfaced (created through an FB01), some are financial invoices (FB70) and we have regular invoices coming from SD. Thus, we have many document types included and we cannot use the amount splitter functionality for enjoy transaction (FB70/75 only).
Anybody has already had to implement or change a FM or BAdI for such a posting?
Thanks a lot for your advice!
    Pierre

Just to clarify, the above scenario is for when PO is transferred from MM to SUS , then payment terms and condition types are not transferring

  • Payment Terms and Discount

    Hi,
Can some one tell how it works the payment terms and discount.
I have one Payment Term with 30 days, 3% Discount, 60 days 1% discount 90 days not discount.
When I book and invoice say on 20th-Apr-09 and gives baseline date same as invoice date as 20th-Apr-09. and calculate tax on net amount.
    Say for Example
    Net value is                    : 1000
    Tax @19% in Net Value  :   190
    Total AR is                    :  1190
So when I give the above payment term and do it enter  it calculate 3% discount immediately and show 5.70 in Bal amount in red color and if I enter 1190 - 5.70 = 1,184.30 then Bal turns in green color which indicates its correct. And when I see the Line item of Tax Cod it shows Base amount as 970 and Tax amount as 184.30.
I don't know how the discount is calculating at time of invoice. because it has to calculate at the time of Incoming Payment. Because Customer may or may not pay within 30 days.
So can some one let me know how to correct it.
    Regards,
    Kiran.

    Hi kiran,
Goto TCode: OBY6 and double click your company code.
Deselect the Check boxes: "Discount Base is net value" and also the check box "Tax base is net value".
    Hope this helps you....

  • Payment term with fixed date

    Dear all,
I want to create a payment term as follows:
    100%, 90 Days on the 10th and 25th.
I created a payment term like this:
    first entry: 'day limit' - 10 days,  'fixed day' field in the "Base line date calculation" column - 10 days  and  'nº of days' - 90 days  second entry (for that same payment term): 'day limit' - 25 days,  'fixed day' field in the "Base line date calculation" column - 25 days and 'nº of days - 90 days;
    third entry (for that same condition term) 'day limit' - 31 days,  'fixed day' field in the "Base line date calculation" column - 10 days and additional month - 1 and 'nº of days - 90 days;
The system is not giving the expected result. For instance, for a customer with that payment term when document date is 30.09.2012 i should obtain payment date like 10.01.2012 but i obtain 08.01.2012.
I need a field wher to fix day of month for payment. Does it exist?
I hope you can help me.
    best regards
    Joana Trigo

    Dear Trigo,
Unfortunatelly the System do not manage week day it only manage dates
in specific, but there are some options that maybe helpful:-
    1. Using the field FIXED DATE:
Fixed calendar date as part of the date on which the first or second
cash discount period ends and/or the date on which the due date for
date net payment (date on which payment of an open item is due net, that
is with cash no discount deduction) is reached.
    2. Could be into Default for baseline date area, not set the indicator
"No default" with this you then have to enter the base date manually
    into your document.
    3.  You have the option "DAY LIMIT":
Day of the month up until which the correspondig terms are valid.
For terms of payment which depend on whether or not the baseline date is
after or before the 15th of the month, you can define a two-part payment
term under the same terms of payment key. The terms of payment key is
expanded by the day limit entered here. Thus there are two
entries in which different terms can be specified.
    For Example:
The following terms of payment require you to enter a day limit:
Documents with an invoice date on or before the 15th of the month
are payable on the last day of the next month.
Documents with an invoice date after the 15th of the month are
payable on the 15th of the month after the next month.
