Payroll and Tax

Our customer is a german company with a subsidiary company in Blufton Ohio. The group ist implementing SAP HCM. Going live shall be in July 2006.
Question 1:
Why is it urgently necessary to implement a special tool for US TAX?
Qustion 2:
Is there any experience about cost for impementing PY with best practice (200 persons)?

Hi,
Payroll is run for each and every country using
separate driver Programs.Since each and every country
has its own rules in calculating Pay for the employees.
So also TAX implications. Every country has its own
"acts" fr TAX . Since your customer is in 2 different
locations , they have to calculate PAYROLL&TAX
depending on the country the employees work for.

  • UK Payroll new tax code 1000L

    Hello Friends:
In UK Payroll new tax code 1000L for year 2014-April 06th.  I have updated in Constant table V_T511K effective April 06th 2014 but this code is not going to Ceridian interface(PU12).  I would like to know where we need to apply this new tax code?.  Is there any OSS Notes?. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in Advance

    Hello
Please note that the tax calculation for UK payroll is done based on the tax code as maintained in IT0065 ,.
Also please note the following :-
Code 0T u2013 This code is used cumulatively with no pay adjustment and all pay is taxed according to the relevant rate dependent on the level of earnings
Code BR  - This code means that all the employeesu2019 pay is liable to basic rate tax and there is no pay adjustment allowed
Tables T5G01 and T5G02 are then used by payroll for tax calculation.
    Hope this helps
    Kind Regards

  • What is main deff  between indian payroll and us payroll in sap abap hr

    HI Experts,
what is main deff  between indian payroll and us payroll in sap abap hr.
    Regards
    Naresh

    Hi,
    U.S payrolls:
SAP has given country specific payrolls for more than 40countries Each country specific version is called country version.  Every country has a country specific payroll driver and pay roll schema based on modular international payroll driver and schema.  When sap says country version it includes country specific civil, tax laws, contributory and other tax laws (all these details are populated in the country specific info types).
    Some of them are:
    - Personnel data -address-6, bank details-7, personal data-2, challenges-4 etc..
    - Actions -0000 info type
    - Organizational data
So when you run a payroll for a specific country, besides general information valid for the international pay roll, one needs to enter specific details in the particular info types for example if you are running U.S  pay roll you need enter SSN no. to uniquely identify an employee in the info type 0002-personal data.
Besides the common infotypes these are some of the U.S pay roll specific infotypes that one has to configure in U.S pay roll.
    - Garnishment Order - Info type 019
    - Creating a Garnishment Order - Info type 0195
    Inidan PayRolls:-
Indian pay roll besides common info types, uses specific info types from 0580 to 0590 and 0045 (loans infotype) -- these info types will capture the data related to all the major components of Indian pay roll.
    Hope this is helpful,
    Thanks

  • Is it possible to pay a POI in NA Payroll and generate W-2 for them ?

    Here is the scenario:
The client makes and agreement with a physician approximately 12 months before the physician actually starts to work and they pay the prospective physician a sign on bonus at the time of signing.  The client wants to produce a W-2 for the prospective physician.
So....can the client use the Person of Interest model (POI), give them a job record so that a tax record can be created, still leaving the physician as a POI (not employee), pay the bonus through NA Payroll and get a W-2 issued?
Now, why they want to produce a W-2 rather than a 1099 is a mystery to me but it is one of their business requirements.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello Frank,
I've added this to my table styleClass:
    #{ (ControlBean.inicial eq 'true') ? 'style-1' : (ControlBean.project == 'false') ?  'style-4' : 'style-0'}
And i added a partialTrigger from my table to itself but i think it's not working 100% and i don't know why is that.
    My logic is:
if (inicial == true) then the styleClass is style-1 since it colors the selected rows in green and the others in white
if (inicial == false and project == false) then the styleClass is style-4 since it colors the selected rows in white and the others in grey
else (inicial == false and project == true) then the styleClass is style-0 since it colors the selected rows in green and the others in grey
But whenever i clear my selections, i set the inicial to true and project to false and i get style-4 instead of style-0.
Can you help me with that?
    Regards

You need add this component and page to the permission list. Attach the permission list to a role and then assign that role to the user.
To verify the security of the page, you can either use the SQL query or navigate to the following path
Home > PeopleTools > Portal > Structure and Content
and then go to that page you are looking for. Click on "Edit" appearing besides the page who are looking for and then Go to Security tab.
You will find the list of permission list attached to that page.

  • Tax A/R - (Liability) and Tax A/P (Assets)

Hi I am confused with Tax A/R and Tax A/P
Tax A/R (when you raise the sales order you collect it from the customer) will be posting to a G/L account in Liability cabinet eventhough it is an income to you,
    and
Tax A/P (when you raise a purchase order you have to pay to the vendor) will be posting to a G/L account in Assets cabinet even though you have to pay it to the vendor. What is the logic behind these tax G/L accounts taken into different cabinets in the Chart of Accounts.  Is there any one who can share their views on it.
    thanks
    Venkat
Edited by: Venkat on Mar 18, 2008 12:58 PM

    Hi Venkat
    It is very simple logic.
You have to pay taxes to the government for all item you sale and you collect it from customer behalf of govt. so that is your liability to govt. means what ever tax you will collect from customer through sale, you have to pay to government, so it is liability.
And on purchase you are the customer, you are paying tax to your vendor on his sale, that means you alredy paid the tax on item.
    for example
You purchase item A for Rs. 100 and tax on that is Rs. 10, your total purchase cost is 110.
in this transaction Rs. 100 is your Inventory cost and 10 is tax amount which you paid to vendor and vendor will pay it to govt.
Now you sale that item A for Rs. 200 and you charge tax of Rs. 20 to your customer.
Your total sale value is 220. now Rs. 20 is your libility to pay govt. as tax which you have collected from customer but at the time of purchase you had already pay Rs. 10 tax to the govt. which is accounted in your asset, so you will pay only 20-10 = Rs.10 to govt.

please advise, your input will be rewarded.

    Ravi,
I have almost same Nancy's problem. I change tax code indicator on ME12 from N0 to N2, after that, I made the invoice verification on MRKO for a consignment material, however tax code N0 (original) was taked for the withdrawal.
    I followed up notes:
Note 87860 - Consignment: determining tax code as of 4.0
140675 - Consignment: Determination of tax code transition
But these notes doesn't apply for 4.7. Do you know any note that apply on this version?

  • Company Code and Tax company

    Hi Experts,
Help me to define what's the difference between the company code and a tax company. Do we have any integration between company code and tax company. I have a scenario with a client where they have only one company code and asking me to define multiple tax companies so that the can generate the W'2 seperately based on the tax company. My concern in this was when we run the tax reporter it will look for the temse files so if we define multiple tax companies with one company code will it effect us any way when we do the w'2 from the tax reporter at the year end.
    Any help is appreciated
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    1) Tax Cos are not assigned directly to co.Code. These are assigned to the Personnel areas (Table V_t5uop).
    2) Tax co.is assigned to a distinct Employer Identification Number (EIN) and is mapped to a BSI tax company for tax calculation purposes.
    3) You may also want to check feature UTXRP & UTXTM based on your requirement & business process.
    Hope this helps.

  • PRA - Process Improvement for Accounts Receivable and Taxes Payable

SAP PRA introduces process improvements to Accounts Receivable and Taxes Payable write off processes for small dollar line items.  When small dollar line item amounts are within the user defined tolerances, these line items can be written off using a batch job, Auto Write Off.

    Thank you Wolfrad-
It's a good start.  I think the best method in creating roles is to create the name myself and add the t-codes pertaining to that function such as cash application and credit.
I have a list of t-codes (it says all FI transactions) but I don't see credit management t-codes like FD32.  Does anyone have a list of credit management t-codes?
    Thanks!
