Payroll : Return indirect result from fast formula only in first run

Hi All,
I need to return an indirect result/element from a fast formula but only in first run of the element. For example I have an element "XYZ" and want to retun one value to element "ABC" (non-recurring earning element to pay loan amount to employee) if this is the first run of the element "XYZ" in other subsequent run I do not want to return any value.
I could have other options to deal with the issue but due to sudden change in the requirement I am left with this option only. Is there and seeded validation/flag or database item i can use to check the first run of element.
Thanks,
Avinash

Create a Balance that is fed by the Indirect Element. In the Fast Formua,check for the <Balance>ASGPTD. IF the Balance value is not Zero, then do not trigger the Indirect element (Better way to do is calculate the Loan to be paid and subtract the Balance_ASG_PTD from the calculated amount. IF the net value is not zero, then trigger the indirect element. This will ensure that the Loan element will be triggered only once). When you referred, First Run...if it is not first run per period but the first run of the element per employee, then use _ITD Balance.

  • How to return days from fast formula?

    Hi All
    Is it possible to return a value, a number, to an element having an input value as type 'Day' . I tried this and its showing in run results, but the same is not being reflected in, say, when I try to deduct this number from the accrual plan.
    Is there any function in SQL or Fast Formula which will convert Number to Days? How to pass a number converted into 'Days' to an element?

  • Select statement returns different results from 9i and 10g

    Hi all,
    Would appreciate if someone could help to solve this puzzle here:
    I have the exact the statements running on Oracle 9i and 10g, why do they return different results?
    Select unique(GroupDesc) , GroupSeq from Module where ModuleId in (Select ModuleId from User_Access where UserId='admin') and Status='A'
    In Oracle 9i:
    Both columns returned as follows...
    GroupDesc | GroupSeq
    In Oracle 10g:
    Only one column returned, the column with unique keyword was missing...
    GroupSeq
    Could anyone enlighten me?

    yes, the table structure... actually the CREATE TABLE statement...
    with some sample data (INSERT INTO)
    and the actual queries (both of them - copy-paste them from each separate environment)
    you can use tags around the statements this will format it to a fixed font - making it easier to read

  • To_char(adate,'dd.mm.yyyy')   returns different results  from  two oracle clients !!! Is it  possible?

    Dear all;
    We have only one Database server with some IIS's   as web servers on front . Each web server has own oracle client software in order connect to central database..
    The same following query used in C#  code  returns different results on each IIS server.(3 row, or  not data found )
    why?
    select     *    from    aTable    where        to_char( adate ,  'dd.mm.yyyy' )  =   :search_date

    If adate is of DATE datatype, it will most likely has the time component. Therefore your SQL below is unlikely to return any data.
    select * from aTable where adate = to_date(:search_date, 'dd.mm.yyyy')
    Perhaps.....
    select * from aTable where TRUNC(adate) = to_date(:search_date, 'dd.mm.yyyy')
    Hi,
    not having any sample data from you I could not understand that you wanted to select the range 00:00:00 - 23:59:59 on search_date.
    Your method might not be efficient if you have an index on adate.
    Maybe something like this will be more efficient
    select * from aTable
    where adate >= to_date(:search_date, 'dd.mm.yyyy')
      and adate <  to_date(:search_date, 'dd.mm.yyyy') + 1;
    If you search_date is 30-Aug-2013 it will get records where adate >= 30-Aug-2013 00:00:00 and adate < 31-Aug-2013 00:00:00, so any time of date 30-Aug-2013.
    Try like this and let us know if you still have 2 different results.
    Regards.

  • Exporting slideshows results in file with only the first picture then a blank white screen with music. Apple bug or am I missing the obvious?

    When I export slideshows the result is a file with only the first picture then a blank white screen with music. Apple bug or am I missing the obvious?

    Usually when the phone shows just the white Apple logo, it indicates an issue with the system software that prevents the phone from finishing it's boot sequence. When this happens, you will need to restore the phone, which removes all data and replaces the system software with a fresh set.
    Since the phone is not seen in iTunes when it's in this state, you will have to put it into DFU mode for iTunes to see it.
    To put the phone in DFU mode:
    - make sure the phone is connected to a computer with the current version of iTunes on it.
    - hold the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously for 8 seconds.
    - let go of the sleep/wake button and continue pressing the home button. The iTunes screen will show a short progress bar then show a dialog box stating that an iPod was detected that is in recovery mode.
    -click OK
    -click the Restore button in the middle of the iTunes page
    After the restore the phone should be back up and running and you can sync your data back.

  • How to wake up opened MacBook from sleep -x only external display running

    How to wake up opened MacBook from sleep - only external display running? I dont shut down my MacBook and I am using only external monitor. Lid closed it is not good idea, sometimes is MacBook and main MacBook display to warm. So I must six times per day open and close my MacBook. Any solutions?

    Sure, the added heat sink and dissipator will help. Although a gel pad has a lot of heat capacity, meaning it has the ability to absorb a lot of heat, eventually it will saturate with heat from the MB and reach a point of stasis. Then it gets rid of heat the same way the Mac does, namely radiation and conduction into other things around and in contact with it, including air. Of course the Mac has a fan if it needs it. The gel pad doesn't.
    If the gel pad is sitting on a metal surface, like a steel file cabinet or something like that, it helps to drain the heat away from the pad, and by extension, the Mac. The aluminum cookware worked like that. I had heat capacity of its own, but more importantly, it added to the surface area that was performing convection cooling. So, yes, both together give a better result.

  • When I export a group of jpg's from RAW files, only the first one retains it's title and caption.

    If I try to export a handful of images at the same time, the title and caption is stripped out at export. This happens on 5, 15 or 50 images. If I export them one by one the information is retained. It seems to me that only the first or one image can retain it's title and caption.
    Does anyone know why and how to fix this?

    Very strange. Haven't heard of any similar reports, so it doesn't sound like a very common problem. Maybe try resetting your preferences file, but if that doesn't work all I can suggest is to raise the problem at the official Adobe feedback site.
    For resetting the preferences file, see here:

    Hi serenace,
    To achieve your requirement, you can reference the below.
    DECLARE @Tbl TABLE(ctrlno INT,jobid INT,docdate DATE,work1 INT,work2 INT,work3 INT);
    INSERT INTO @Tbl VALUES(1,7,'2/12/2014',20,10,NULL);
    INSERT INTO @Tbl VALUES(2,7,'2/22/2014',35,NULL,15);
    INSERT INTO @Tbl VALUES(3,7,'2/28/2014',NULL,NULL,12);
    INSERT INTO @Tbl VALUES(4,8,'1/17/2014',15,13,23);
    INSERT INTO @Tbl VALUES(4,8,'2/17/2014',15,NULL,NULL);
    INSERT INTO @Tbl VALUES(4,8,'3/17/2014',NULL,16,NULL);
    ;WITH cte AS(
    SELECT jobid,docdate,attr,value FROM
    @Tbl
    UNPIVOT
    (value FOR attr IN(work1,work2,work3)) AS UT
    cte2 AS(
    SELECT jobid,attr,value , ROW_NUMBER() OVER(PARTITION BY jobid,attr ORDER BY docdate DESC) AS rn
    from cte
    SELECT jobid,ISNULL([work1],0) [work1],ISNULL([work2],0) [work2],ISNULL([work3],0) [work3] FROM
    cte2

  • Import from Contour+2 only show first frame of video?!?!?

    Hi All,
    I just got a new Contour+2, and make sure to update the firmware, or FCPX will only show the first frame from the video and no audio.

    Hi Barry,
    You don't need any conversion!
    Simply import the media. If you do multicam, you might wanna transcode to Proxy for faster access..
    But correct with the old videos, they might need a transcode..

  • Save copy from psd jpg only saves first/top layer

    Am I missing something? I try to save a JPEG and I get the top layer only. The blending options I've chosen and the other layers don't even come into play. What's the deal?

    When saving as a jpg the layers are flattened. So anything on top will cover up the lower layers unless you used some type of transparency, mask, or opacity setting, that allows partial view of the lower layers.
    That said, jpg also does not support transparency, so any blank transparent areas will be white.
    It is possible that a bug could feasibly remove transparency before flattening, but it should flatten first then remove transparency.
    Removing the b/w layer may have allowed transparent areas on the lower layers to affect the layers below them and the b/w layer just did not have any transparent areas.
    That's all I can think of for now, with out seeing your screen.

  • Fast fromula related to oracle payroll are not called from Formula result window

    Hi,
    Few of the fast fromula related to oracle payroll are not called from Formula result window , please let me know how these fast formulas are called.
    Example : PAY_GB_EDI_MOVDED6_FOOTER
    Thanks,
    Subbu.

    Hi Subbu,
    Some reports are handled by the PYUGEN engine as Magnetic reports.
    These are old fashion reports to generate Magnetic files, like BACS EDI files etc..
    select * from ff_formulas_f
    where formula_name like 'PAY_GB_EDI_MOVDED6%';
    If you see the above, there are 3 formulas defined for generating this report - Header, Body & Footer.
    All are called in a sequence by the PYUGEN process based on what you seed in pay_magnetic_blocks.
    All the logic is within these Fast formulas.
    But as they're seeded there's nothing much you can do.
    Cheers,
    Vignesh

  • Urgent:How to differentiate retro and payroll run in Fast Formula

    I have written one fast formula. This fast formula is attached to “Basic Salary” element.
    “Basic Salary” element has retro and proration setup.
    We are using Enhanced retro process.
    Enhanced retro process is calling this Fast formula to check the difference amount.
    Similarly oracle payroll will also call the same fast formula while running payroll.
    Now our requirement is:
    Few lines in Fast formula should not execute when FF is called by retro, but it should be executed when it is called from Payroll.
    So how could we know, whether FF is called by retro process or by payroll?
    If I have some way to find this, I can execute this code by using this condition.
    Any pointer in this regard will be highly appreciated.

    None of the above.. just write one custom PLSQL function which will take the payroll action ID as context parameter & will return the action_type column from PAY_PAYROLL_ACTIONS table.. to the Fast formula. L is for Retro run.
    In the fast formula, place your specific code in the if condition.
    Attention: Making the formula calculate differently in normal payroll & retro can cause you serious consistency issues in payments/deductions and debugging them might become impossible in the long run.

  • Please Help Urgent:Fast Search returning wrong result sets

    Hi All,
    We are facing below issue with fast search.
    Currently in My project  when  we are searching  for a phrase it is returning wrong result sets.
    For example if we search for “Endura”, It is returning documents related to
    Endura  as well as Centura.
    But the expected results are only Endura documents.
    When we look in to the documents we didn’t find the search term (“Endura” ) either inside document content or in its meta data.
    In order to resolve the issue we tried the below steps
    1-
    We manually edited and saved the document, to ensure the appropriate Guid association to metadata.
    2-
    Index reset
    3-
    Full crawl
    But no luck  so far.
    Please help.Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Subrat

    Subrat,
    This may be related to spellchecking or may be synonym. Spellcheck is based on indexed terms.
    The best test would be to run the queries from qrserver (13280) and then look at the spellcheck query transformations. If spellchecking is not doing it, then you must have a synonym setup .Check your keyword/synonyms from the SharePoint side.

  • Database is only returns one result

    I'm trying to count the number of calls & low priorty call from my account table in my databate. There is only one call so far in it. Call = 1 but its priorty is Low so Low should also be 1. I have check my sql in the Database and it return 1 result but in my program Low still = 0.
    Connection conn;
    String theNoCallsSQL = "Select call_no From Call ";
    String thePLowSQL = "Select call_no From Call where priorty = 'Low' ";
    int NoCalls = 0;
    int Low = 0;
    ResultSet rsetNoCall;
    ResultSet rsetLow;
    rsetNoCall = stmt.executeQuery(theNoCallsSQL);
    while(rsetNoCall.next() == true)
    NoCalls ++;
    rsetLow = stmt.executeQuery(thePLowSQL);
    while(rsetLow.next() == true)
    Low ++;
    conn.close();
    ArrayList myStatsList = new ArrayList();
    CallsStats myStats = new CallsStats();
    myStats.setNoCall(NoCalls);
    myStats.setNoLow(Low);
    return myStatsList;

    Haven't you heard about debugging? The simplest forum of debugging to answer your question would be to insert a line like this:System.out.println("Low++ executed");immediately before the line that saysLow++;Or you could use System.out to display the value of Low immediately beforemyStats.setNoLow(Low);The possibilities are endless.
