PaySound From a Trigger tag in XAML

Hello guys.
I found many tutorial about play sound via XAML code but all of these tutorial is about clicking a button!
I want to play a sound via a trigger tag like this code:
<Trigger Property="IsMouseOver" Value="True">
//Code ....
</Trigger>
Is there any way to do that?
Any advice can help.
Thanks guys.

Thank you again, Mr. ONeill.
I'm
making software for comparing
the user's
computer hardware
with system requirements
Games.
My software theme is look like Razer Game Booster. And I'm trying to design a list exactly like Razer Game Booster.
The picture below
is relevant to Razer Game Booster:
In the image
below,you can measure my progress
in the design of
ListBox in Razer Game Booster:
In the Razer Game Booster, When you put
your mouse pointer
over each items,
the sound will be played as an effect.
Now I
am trying to put
the sound on listbox in my
software.
Number of items
in the listbox is not specified by default,
and it will be changed
by the user.
I want to use the following C# Code and call it from XAML tags. for example: Trigger tag or something else.
public static class Sound
static SoundPlayer sSound = new SoundPlayer();
public static void Play(Stream sSoundSource)
sSound.Stop();
sSound.Stream = sSoundSource;
sSound.Play();
public static void PlaySync(Stream sSoundSource)
sSound.Stop();
sSound.Stream = sSoundSource;
sSound.PlaySync();
It
may not be invoked
in XAML code,
but my main
purpose is something like that.
I want to know how can I use C# functions in XAML Code and call them from there?!
For example,
I want these
functions to be called
when placing the mouse pointer
over the items.
I hope
my description is
obvious.
I
really thank you,Mr. ONeill for helping me.
I
am waiting for your reply.
And excuse me for my terrible language. :D

  • Inserting into a table which is created "on the fly" from a trigger

    Hello all,
    I am trying to insert into a table from a trigger in Oracle form. The table name however, is inputted by the user in am item form.
    here is what the insert looks like:
    insert into :table_name
    values (:value1, :value2);
    the problem is that forms does not recognize ::table_name. If I replace :table_name with an actual database table, it works fine. However, I need to insert to a table_name based from oracle form item.
    By the way, the table|_name is built on the fly using a procedure before I try to insert into it.
    Any suggestion on how can I do that? My code in the trigger is:
    declare
    dm_drop_tbl(:table_name,'table) // a call to an external procedure to drop the table
    dm_create_tbl(:table_name,'att1','att2');
    insert into :table_name
    values (:value1, :value2);
    this give me an error:
    encounter "" when the symbol expecting one.....

    Hi ,
    You should use the FORMS_DDL built_in procedure. Read the on-line documentation of forms ...

  • Passing Values from a Trigger to a procedure

    Hi,
    How do i pass my OLD and NEW values from a Trigger to a Procedure. THe procedure will contain statements which will insert one record for each column with the OLD and NEW value.( I may have 31 inserts in the LOG table)
    Basically we have a table with 31 fields, i am tracking the changes done on that table, in my trigger i compare IF :OLD.COL1 <> :NEW.COL1 then i am inserting in a LOG Table if the values have changed.
    I am also tracking ie inserting in the LOG table if i am ADDING OR DELETING any row from the tabble.
    Thank yu

    It worked i created a RECORD type variable and passed OLD Value to one variable and NEW value to another variable.
    thanks

  • How to pass the NEW row from a trigger to a procedure

    I want to pass all NEW values from a trigger to a procedure.
    I wish to use a %ROWTYPE or similar,
    and I want neither to assigne them nor pass them one by one.
    Any suggestion?
    Thanks in advance

    hi vittorio
    i have a solution but im very sure it is not exact answer to your question . it will definitely help you .
    create table temp_type as select * from emp where 1 = 2;
    create or replace procedure emp_ins(emp_row emp%rowtype) as
    pragma autonomous_transaction;
    begin
    insert into temp_type(empno,ename) values(emp_row.empno,emp_row.ename);
    commit;
    end;
    create or replace trigger emp_ins_trig before insert on emp for each row
    declare
    /*  empr emp_types.emprowtype%type;*/
    empr emp%rowtype;
    begin
      empr.empno := :new.empno;
      empr.ename := :new.ename;
    emp_ins(empr);
    end;
    /unfortunately , in oracle we dont have a facility to access the members of a record or recordset by their position
    Such facility is very much there in Visual Basic , similar programming tools.
    we can access the members of a recordset by the index position ( here index means the position of the field)

    Hi,
    You need to declare the namespace of each element used in the XPath expression, like this :
    SQL> select extractvalue( XMLDATA
      2                     , '/samp:Field1/UTI/U01'
      3                     , 'xmlns:samp="http://www.oradev.com/chipsxml.xsd"' ) "XMLDATA"
      4  from chipsxmltable1 x
      5  ;
    XMLDATA
    No
    SQL> select extract( XMLDATA
      2                , '/samp:Field1/UTI'
      3                , 'xmlns:samp="http://www.oradev.com/chipsxml.xsd"'
      4                ).getstringval() "XMLDATA"
      5  from chipsxmltable1 x
      6  ;
    XMLDATA
    <UTI>
      <U01>No</U01>
      <U02>Y</U02>
      <U03>Y</U03>
      <U03a>Y</U03a>
      <U03b>Y</U03b>
      <U03c>Y</U03c>
      <U04>Y</U04>
      <U05>Y</U05>
    </UTI>
    Please see EXTRACT and EXTRACTVALUE documentation :

    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14200/functions052.htm#SQLRF06173
    BTW, "XMLDATA" is a pseudo-column used by Oracle. I don't know if it'll ever cause any conflict but maybe you should rename your column.

  • How can I get a parameter back into a servlet invoked from an IMG tag ?

    I'm using a servlet to create several graphical plots per JSP i.e. per HTML page. Each graph is supposed to be different, according to a parameter which I want to pass back from my JSP. I'm getting several plots but they're all the same!
    I've tried setting an attribute in the session object before each IMG SRC= , but all I get is each plot the same! In fact, my debugging efforts show that the servlet is only called once despite 3 calls, each with a different session parameter value. I'm not sure the session parameter values are getting used properly.
    I just can't find a way of getting a parameter back into my servlet which is invoked from the IMG tag (i.e. SRC= "servlet name").
    Can anyone tell me the best way to pass a parameter back into a servlet which is invoked from an IMG tag? Can the request object be used? I can't, at the moment, see how it could be used?
    I'll certainly be very grateful if anyone can help with this - could even be useful for others as well!

    You said that, "by moving a copy of Mobile Docs back to the Library, from which I had moved it, my documents reapperared in Cloud." That says that you actually moved it. Obviously, I can't tell exactly what you did, but it sounds like you may have thought you were just putting it in the sidebar, but you actually put it somewhere else. The sidebar is not a location to put things, just a way to create a quick shortcut to access a file or folder, so you can't put things "back" from there.

  • How to send error message to forms from Database Trigger

    Hi, Please help me to send error message to forms from Database Trigger?
    RgDs,
    Madesh.R.M

    You are correct, the On-Error trigger is a Forms trigger. However, if your Form is going to display the error generated by the database stored procedure or trigger - you might not see the database error in your Form unless you check the DBMS_ERROR_CODE in the On-Error trigger and manually display the Error Code and associated Text. I've see this happen with a co-worker. The Form she was working on was based on a table with an Before-Insert trigger. Because she was not explicitely handling the error from the Before-Insert trigger in the Forms On-Error trigger, her Form appeared to halt for no reason at all. Once she added code to the On-Error trigger in the Form to handle the DBMS_ERROR_CODE, she discovered the trigger was producing an error and was able to show the error to the user in the On-Error trigger.
    I understand the desire to keep as much as possbile in the database, but with that comes some extra coding in your Forms to handle this. This extra coding could easily be placed in a Forms Library, attached to a Form and called in the On-Error trigger. Your code could look like this:
    DECLARE
       /*This example assumes you have an Alert defined
          in your Form called: 'ERROR' */
       al_id    ALERT;
       al_text  VARCHAR2(200);  /* Max text of a Forms Alert message*/
       al_btn   NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    IF DBMS_ERROR_CODE != 0 THEN
       /* Error code is ORA-00000 Normal Successful completion
           So only handle non-zero errors  */
       al_text := DBMS_ERROR_CODE||':'||DBMS_ERROR_TEXT;
       al_id := Find_Alert('ERROR');
       set_alert_property(al_id, alert_message_text, al_text);
       al_btn := show_alert(al_id);
    END IF;
    END;Your original question was "How to send error message to forms from Database Trigger?" The answer is you don't because Forms already gets the database error code and database message through the Forms DBMS_ERROR_CODE and DBMS_ERROR_TEXT functions. Look these up in the Forms help and it should clear things up for you.

  • Common procedure call from db trigger.

    hi all,
    i have one procedure, which is called from most of the db-triggers on tables.
    while dml operation, db-trigger on table calls this common procedure.
    while executing this procedure, i want to know currently, it is called from which trigger and table.
    is it possible?
    regards.

    in that case i have to modify all the triggers on table, which is labourious job.
    any other solution.

    Thank for your opinion, but what idea is better ?Doing things in the middle tier, where Java lives.
    Ever heard of event-based trading systems?
    pooling a table every 30 sec. ?. I need to implment
    real-time system which process each trade from table
    once it appears there.Sounds like you have it backwards - you're trying to drive Java from the database.
    I think it'd be better to write that event-based system in Java and leave the database just for persistence.
    GigaSpaces and their ilk are being used this way for highly transactional trading systems. Maybe you could see how they're doing it.

  • Need to do a commit in a procedure called from a trigger

    How do I get around the need to do a commit in a procedure that is being executed from a trigger. I know it can't be done but I bet someone has a workaround. Thanks.

    Hi
    Why do you want to do a commit in a procedure called from a trigger?
    Anyway if you are running Oracle 8i+ you can declare the procedure as an Autonomous Transaction and can issue a commit, eventhough it is called from a trigger.

    This concurrent request calls a packaged procedure.
    This packaged procedure inserts data into another table and then commits the insert.
    When I update the table with the trigger on it, (the above narrated scenario)....
    I come up with the error...
    ORA-04092: cannot SET SAVEPOINT in a trigger
    I didnt use any savepoint in my code.
    Any help is appreciated. Its a high priority issue.
    Thnx,
    Kiran

    You problem is that the standard PL/SQL code to submit a concurrent request (which is presumably what you are running) performs the savepoint, unless you have told it you are running from a database trigger. The processing performed by the concurrent request when it runs is not relevant to the processing of the trigger.
    We have code that submits a concurrent request successfully from a trigger, but before the call to FND_Request.Submit_Request, we call FND_Request.Set_Mode(TRUE) which tells the processing in FND_Request.Submit_Request that we are running from a database trigger and not to perform it's savepoint processing.
