PC Suite 6.83 problem

Hi,
Nobody has a solution to my earlier post ?
In addition to it. I see that PC Suite hooks into the DELETE, SHIFT+DELETE and RIGHT-CLICK MENU commands to startup the ServiceLayer.exe windows service.
How do I prevent this ?
If no one can solve my problem ...atleast tell me how to reach support center. I can't find an email or place where i can get in touch with them.
Also, Please don't ask questions like 'Why do you want to stop the ServiceLayer windows service ?'. I just want to.

You need to use "Contact us" at top right of your screen to elicit a response from Nokia, but don't hold your breath.

On the middletier installation at 97%, when 'Setting up Oracle Calendar server 9.0.4.1.0' - setting envoronment variable 'CALMGRVALUE' 'to 03e4....', the installation hanged. All patches have been applied. I have also checked all of the listener, database (infra and storage) and service (oidmon, oidldapd, ohs, OC4J_DAS) and all are running properly.

PC Suite: Image Store problem.

Hey there,
I'm using:
Nokia PC Suite 7.0.9.2
Windows Vista SP1
Bluetooth Connection
Nokia E71
The problem I'm having is that each time I go to sync my photos, I get the error: "Error communicating with the phone".
I've tried using the cable connection but it didn't make any difference.
Any help would be greatly appreciated =]

Hi,
The only thing which I could remember doing for this issue was to uninstall and reinstall the PC Suite.So you can try the folloing steps:-
1)Uninstall PC Suite,PC Connectivity solution and Connectivity driver.
2)Install PC Suite again and don't connect the device after installing.Reboot the PC.
3)Once rebooted,Connect the device to PC and see if it works with PC Suite.
I hope this works.

N8 Belle refresh: Nokia Suite Backup has problems ...

Since I installed the Belle refresh on my N8 the backup of Nokia Suite 3.5.34 has difficulties to safe Documents.
Only after restarting the N8, the backup works.I assume some documents are locked. This was never a problem before.
What are these documents and where are they located in the N8. I have not created any documents myself.

Having sold my Lumia I bought 808 PureView, owned previously N8. In my view, Symbian Belle is a great system, much better than Windows Phone and you do not need to sacrifice your privacy as much as with WP. The only one thing I wish Nokia could improve, is the speed of reading emails, web browsing and installation of apps from Ovi Store. I do not know why it still so slow as 808 PureView has double fast processor clock compared to N8?
And unfortunately 808 PureView still has a bug they introduced with Symbian Belle - bluetooth connection with some hands-free car devices do not work correctly, eg. with Bury CC9045 V04. You do not hear the first incoming call, need to drop it and wait for a second call.
Apart from above, it is a great phone!

Auto FX Plug-in Suite 1.0 problem with PS CS6

Hello everyone!
After making the migration to the new computer, I started to re-install the plugins that I use. No problem with OnOne Suite (which I have in Automate and also in Extension), but Autofx is driving me crazy.
I have already Suite 1.0 and while installing the various programs I noticed that despite having always selected the x64 setup, all the programs were installed in C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Auto FX Software and not in C: \ Program Files \ Auto FX Software.
When I opened Photoshop CS6 I saw that none of the Autofx programs appeared between the filters and even in Automate.
In the old PC with Seven had not had any problems ....
What should I do?
All the programs work perfectly in the standalone version, but do not appear in PS.
My OS is Windows 8 x64 and PS is part of the Design suite.

Just a few updates
I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything again, forcing the installation folder and then putting everything in C: \ Program Files \ Adobe \ Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit) \ Plug-ins \ Auto FX Software that must be the installation folder.
But even this is done I do not see any of the plugins AutoFx.
Any idea?

Thanks, Ann. I hadn't realised there was a 5.8.1 update, which seems to have solved the problem (I thought it was something deeper as the error appeared when I tried to open AE through the DL.

PC Suite 6.7 Problem

Hi,
I have an Orange UK 6680 and I have found a problem where Messages, Contacts and File Manager won't launch when the phone is connected via Bluetooth and USB. They will launch when the phone is disconnected. My colleague has the same phone and the same problem, except that they won't launch at all (disconnected or connected).
I am using
Windows XP Professional
Version 2002
Service pack 1

I've been experiencing similar problems with both version 6.6 and 6.7 whereby when I go in to the text message option and send/reply to a message, I get the 'unable to send message' option displayed.
The message won't send on the first occasion but then if I try to send again, although on the PC the same failure message is displayed, the SMS text msg will send from the phone and display in the phone's sent items folder. This is also the case on subsequent messages sent although the software still displays the 'unable to send message' option.
I'm using a bluetooth connection to the phone via a USB adaptor and running Windows XP (SP2).
One thing that has been resolved which I'm happy about is the ability for PC Suite to display the date and time of sent/received messages as v6.6 didn't offer this!

PS: Does anyone know how to delete messages from the phone's inbox on PC Suite? I find when I delete them all, they don't all disappear out of the phone.

OVI Suite Photo View Problems...

Hi, please help. Ovi suite does not display Photos. Just getting Default grey image for everything on the thumbnails. OS XP home (Service ack 3). Have uninstall the application deleted everything to do with Nokia. Downloaded the application again and still the same problem. Nokia Ovi version 3.0.0.284. The only problem is that, Just shows grey thumbnails and no thumbnail photos. See screenshot attatched.

Hi,
I guess the installation of Ovi Suite is corrupted, please follow the steps provided below to assist you in this regard
Step 1
- Go to Add/Remove in Control Panel
- Click Ovi Suite
- Click Repair.
Once repair is completed then please restart computer and check.
If Step 1 didnt work, then try the below step
Step2
-Go to Add/Remove in Control Panel
- Click Ovi Suite
- Click Uninstall
Also uninstall the following f
- Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
- PC connectivity Solution
Then right click my computer, click manage.
- Device Manager-Ports- If you find anything by name Nokia please unistall ( Dont remove anything else)
Then reinstall windows Installer from the link provided below

- Then restart computer.
- Download and install Ovi Suite
- Restart Computer again

PC Suite 6.0 Problem

Well, as it turned out i wanted to take some mp3 filed from my computer to my phone. (880i) So i downloaded Pc Suite, installed it, followed all instructions using cable, everything seems fine, but as i hit 'Files' the phone gets disconnected, or if i click any of the other tabs that require information of my phone. Ive also tried to connect it and select file transfer (maybe not exactly what it's called, but) and opened up My Computer, then i see the drive G: and im assuming this is the one to my phone, but then this comes up "Insert a disk into drive G:" I've also updated my phone, wich deleted all my contact info, messages, bascily everything i had in there, so i'm really pissed now.. (The last part is my fault, i know, should've backed up the files...)

If you only want to move some files between the computer/phone you can use USB Mass Storage instead of Phone Mode.
No drivers for that mode are needed and you can easily move mp3s with Windows Explorer.
Regarding your issue, what Windows version do you have? Have the PC Suite installed correctly? Sounds like you are
having problems with USB drivers. Try PC Companion instead, it seems to be SE's new tool for this kind of stuff:

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Licensing problem?

Recently I purchased a new computer (an iMac w/ Maverics installed) after my previous computer (an iMac w/ Snow Leopard installed) crashed. My problem is that after getting all of my creative suite 3 design premium products onto the new machine via My Passport ( I had purchased it legally prior to the crash) and trying to use them, I'm getting a " Licensing for this product has stopped working." error. I know I have to uninstall all products from the previous machine, but the old machine is pretty much down for the count so doing that is impossible. On the bright side, I still have the CS3 Serial Number. Any suggestions?

Rauletta you may still be able to recover your installation of Creative Suite 3. I would recommend utilizing the uninstaller located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once you have ran the uninstall you will then want to run the CC Cleaner Tool to help ensure complete removal. Once you have removed Creative Suite 3 you can then obtain a fresh copy of the installation files at Download CS3 products.

The problem you are facing is because you need certain jars in classpath of the JSP application. (The class shown in the exception). (I think it is in $OH\reports\jlib\rwrun.jar) Please refer tomcat documentation how to point to relevant jar file for the classpath for a JSP application. I have not tried this.
BUT
Even after you solve this problem that you will not be able to run the reports. You will certainly need at least one iAS instance and reports server to submit requests and run the report. (If you have iAS instance you will not need
Tomcat , you can use the http server and powerful web container coming with iAS).

OVi Suite 2.0 problem - Watching Photos/Music usin...

Hi,
I have a problem trying to create watch folders for my OVI Suite.
I'm trying to add watch folders for my photos and music (all which are in an external HDD) and whenever i try and select a folder from my external HDD it won't let me click on 'OK'.
I'm trying to get my music and audio synced into my Nokia N97 (with Firmware v1.2). But i am sure that is not an issue, as i tried doing this with the phone unplugged.
So does anyone have any ideas why it's not lettigin me add watch folders from my external HDD?
I have OVI Suite v2.0.1.35 on Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

Well, it's been over a year and it doesn't look it's been changed (and no instructions or message, either, that I could see). Anyone have an update on this? My music folder is over 12 gb and I had ot move it off to an external hard drive because my computer was nearly out of room.

PC suite and Windows problem

I am running windows xp media center edition 2005 (sp2).Phone-N70 with cable.
I was already having so much problems with PC suite 6.83....And then I found a FAQ ...it says my pc's operating system is not supported by Pc suite. Wat should i do...Wat is the correct version for me...
my problem is after installing pc suite-On the device manager...Under portable devices...n70 is disabled...And thr is an error with Windows Portable devices !

PC Suite 6680 Installation Problems

I have tried to download and install PC Suite for my new Nokia 6680 without success. I am running Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and whether installing direct from the supplied CD all the Nokia web site including www.Nokia.com/pcs (provided by Nokia helpdesk) the same problem occurs. The installation gets approximately 90% through just past the ' publishing product Info ' and comes up with a message that the installation has been ' interrupted ' and stops. Following discussions with the Nokia helpdesk I have deleted all the Nokia files (including hidden files) but still cannot install PC Suite. I therefore have a new phone which I cannot fully utilise. I have recently become disabled it is the only camera I am able to use so am becoming extremely frustrated. I also wish to use the calendar facility both on my phone and PC which was another reason for changing to the Nokia 6680. Any help in resolving this problem would be very much appreciated.

Thank you petrib for the adove.
Went through step by step but still come up with the same error message at the same point. Could the following cause the problem?
1. PC Suite according to error message has not been installed but the files are on the PC. To overcome this I hace searched the PC for any files containing Nokia & deleted them. This has included at times documents & favourites.
2. No cable drivers visable in Control Panel or Add/Remove Programms.
Used Cleaner 3.1 saying yes to all 3 options.
3. Downloaded PC Suite 6.6.18 but the installation failed.
I have saved the error message as a Word Document & can email if it will help the discussions.
As I have been away for the weekend & deleted Nokia files before I left am going to have another attempt at installation now. No reply below will mean it did not work.

CS4 suite licensing/naming problems revealed on update attempt

Hello,
I have the Adobe CS4 Creative Suite. I recently tried to update my Adobe products, but the updates have been failing, revealing some strange problems that I think might be related to licensing or the location of the applications themselves. My applications are not located in the default location. I have changed the names of some of the applications and moved the Adobe folder around, so I'm not sure what the default path to any of these applicaitons should be.
There are two problems.
1) I have tried running the updaters for Fireworks, Flash, Photoshop, and Soundbooth. Each time, the updater fails and tells me that the application its trying to update is not installed. Well, I know the applications are installed, and I can open and use them without a problem. Could the updater be failing to find the applications because they're not in the default location?
2) When I try to run the Acrobate updater program, I am asked to locate the Acrobat application. When I navigate to the Acrobat applicaton with the file selection dialog box that opens, the application is greyed out and not a viable option to select.
3) Acrobat is giving me an error whenever I try to launch the program. When I try to open Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, I get a message saying that "Licensing for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help. (0)".
These are probably separate issues, but any advice on any of them, or where to start with troubleshooting, would be greatly appreciated.
BTW, I'm running OS 10.6.8 on a MacBook Pro.

Yes, I figured that. I guess I should have been more clear. I don't remember what the default path is anymore. Can anyone tell me the default install location and names of the Adobe Creative Suite Applications?

E71 Ovi Suite "Setting Up" problem

before updating my phone is okay and able to connect with Ovi Suite
after i have updated my phone to firmware 500.21.009
then i have problem to connect my phone to Ovi Suite
it just keep showing "Setting Up..." and i had been wait for half an hour
nothing happened
phone was still havent connected
and Ovi Suite keep showing "Setting Up"
anyone know how to solve it?

Hi Nmarexnoob,
You can try removing the phone from OVi suite application and then re-add it.
Goto OVi Suite -> Tools -> Options -> My Devices
Select your previous entry for your phone and click on Remove this device.
Later exit the OVi application then connect your device and wait for it to get recognised by the Operating system.
Then connect your phone and connect the device once again.
