PC Suite Bulk SMS

I am using PC Suite to load numbers to the phone and then send out SMS messages, however I am limited to loading 499 numbers at a time. Does anyone know if this is a phone restriction or a PC Suite restriction? the phone is an old 2100 model (I think).

Could be the phone or PC Suite. Not sure if such software was ever built for some of the demands that some of the users have reported over the years . For example, trying to sync 7000 messages, I mean surely no one has a use for keeping all of them! As Nokia PC Suite is such an older product, and is no longer being actively supported, there is nothing that can be done about this.

I am a young IM and i have a big problem. Thank God i have identified the problem. Well, i pray someone will help me out here.

I came across many portals while google searching but, they seems to be fake. (I sent msg to my personal phone but it never delivered).

There's not a good app for this ON the BlackBerry... for obvoius reasons (spam).
And free? Doubtful.
Personally, because of the obvious spam generated by software just as this, I hope it's all shut down, but that's my personal opinion.

Send bulk sms on one number

Dear Nokia,
i want to send bulk sms on only one number how can i send? does nokia has any software which can perform this function i.e. by just one click the software start sending message to the number untill i stop or untill the loop is finished.
Like i have I-mate KJam so if i want to send 100 sms on one number i just copy and paste that number 100 times in the number field and click send and it start sending sms.. i tried this in my n96 but failed plzz guide me...

This is quiet a long process but type in the number in the to field at the top of your message editor as many times as you want to with semi colons ( in between each entry. I think that should work

i want to develop a BULK SMS interface from which user select a file of phonenumbers and insert it into DB and then on single click campaign will start.
infact SMS will be sent on a url.
My question is can someone give me suggetion so that i can send atleast 15 to 20 request per second to server for a long time.
what should i do so that my system will not crash.
i have atleast 400000 queue which will be through on a http url.
within some time.

Roll out of PC suite with SMS 3.0

Hello,
Our company wants to roll out Nokia PC Suite 6.82.22 thru SMS 3.0.
When we do that the ContentCopier backup is placed in the Default User profile. Rebooting or logging in as another user after install doesn't change that.
When we install the MSI by hand it is placed in the current user profile. When we log in as another user and make a backup it is placed in that users profile (as it should).
I didn't find any properties or custom actions in the MSI and no registry keys or .ini files I could change to change the behaviour of the SMS installation.
I understand the Default User profile is taken because the SMS installation user has no profile but I don't understand why this isn't corrected after a reboot/logon.
Do you have a solution for us? Installation by hand isn't an option anymore after this migration.

Not yet but before I start spending a lot of time on that I would like a Nokia rep. to tell me if they know about this and if they have a solution.
I can try to repackage the vendor MSI but somehow I don't think this will solve my problem.

PC Suite Restore SMS incorrect order

Every time I have restored my sms's to same or different phone, it has messed up the order of them.
when I check the details, the date is correct still, but the order they are listed in for the message inbox are totally off.
I get some text messages dated 2005 at the top of the list and some 2007.
I have had this problem in all the versions of PC Suite I have tried. At the moment I'm using 6.85 beta, before that i was using 6.84 and 6.83 and a lot more older too.
I have tried it on 3 completely different machines with the same results. All using Windows XP SP2.
Phones I've tested are the Nokia 6230, 6234 & 6500 Classic.
I'm sure it's a glitch in the content copier, maybe it's set to 'SORT BY MODIFIED DATE' instead of 'Received date' in the phone's firmware. Hence it would only affect you if you restore a backup.
I hope it can be fixed.

I cannot find any .nbu file since i had not done backup, so the second solution cannot help me...
Anyway,
i downloaded sqlite converter from ABC, but while opening the PCCSContact.db it gives me only one row
I tried with sqlite3 manager, and i can read all the tables (change_log_data_ex, contacts_data, folder_data, number_data, and string_data) and indexes and when i type a simple SELECT * FROM number_data i can list all the numbers.
Now my problem is I need the right SQL command to select, join, etc. in order to generate the final table that can be use by PC Suite, since i dont understand the sense of all the tables and indexes.
Is there any one who knows the SQL command to extract my contacts from .db file?

"Phone memory full" when running PC suite's SMS up...

Windows XP SP2
Nokia PC Suite 6.81.13.0
Nokia 6230i connected to PC via Bluetooth
When I click on the Nokia PC Suite's "Messages" icon, it correctly opens Nokia Phone Browser, and if I click to create a new SMS it launches the update of the messages between phone and PC. Soon I get "Error, phone memory full, try to free some space on the telephone and try again".
Then the SMS editor opens and works, but the phone is anyway not synchronised with the PC (I erase some SMS on the phone and keep seeing them on the PC).
Phone memory is almost 90% free.
This has begun right after updating to this last PC Suite version.

So .. with other words .. you are telling me not only PC Suite is **bleep**py software but the phone is a piece of junk also and doesn't delete SMS messages properly ?
Sorry, but this is NO solution for the cause of the problem and doesn't guarantee that it won't happen again. I need a fix so it never happens again. There's no time for "try and error", that's something Nokia should do in their labs instead to deliver low quality software and devices.
Oh well, if there won't be a working solution fixing the cause for this issue soon, I'll decide for my company to give back all phones (50+) and switch the vendor for good. We're still under guarantee so it's easy to make Nokia liable for this failing device.

Nokia Suite and SMS

I would like to know how can I copy sms from the mobile to local folder in my pc by using Nokia Suite.
I can remember in PC Suite it worked just drag and drop.

You can drag and drop messages from your device to the Inbox folder (for example) inside Nokia suite and then you can export your messages.
To export messages from Nokia Suite to a CSV file, please do the following:
Select File > Export all messages.
Select an existing CSV file to replace its contents with the currently selected messages, or type a new file name.
Click OK. All your messages will be stored into the file.

OVI Suite syncd sms location

hi,
i have done a search and not found anything im afterlocating the ocation of sms messages that are copied to te ovisuiyte. the reason for this i need to roduce a har copy of txt bretween myself and another individual and the nbu file where they were back up was lost whenstorage hdd wnt to ilicone heaven. the sms messages has since been wiped from phone due to sending of other messages over time, however looking at the messages in the ovi message cnter they are all there and i cant find them on pc any idea where i should be loojiking.

If you have synched your new message to Ovi suite then you can perform a sync and get them back in the device. Restore will overwrite all the existing contents in the device with the ones which has been backed up, I hope thats how it works.

Bought bulk sms App and it appears downloaded in iTunes. Can't access my Apps in iTunes and won't download to my my iPhone either, please assist!!!

Please assist. I bought group sms App from iTunes store and it downloaded to my Windows Ultimate 7 Pc. Cannot get it downloaded to my iPhone 4 and cannoy access any App in iTunes that I have downloaded before. Supposed to transfer to my phone with sync but no transfer happens notwithstanding numerous syncs. Apps remains unclickable in iTunes and not accessable, please point me in the correct direction??

That is because they only work on iOS devices.
As for the other issue, connect the device, select it in the left hand pane. In the right pane, select the Apps tab. Is Sync Apps checked? Is the specific App(s) checked? Is Automatically sync new apps checked?
Any errors in iTunes or on the device when syncing?

Several questions concerning sending bulk SMS texts on a 9300

Hi, I'm new here and have done the usual thing of checking previous topics using the search facility, but a few things don't seem to have been covered (or if they have the search facility didn't find them)
1) Why does the 9300 only allow you to send an SMS text message to 100 contacts only? My old 9000 could send to everyone in a group (some of my groups contain 300+ contacts) I've now had to spend almost 2 days re-doing all my groups so that none contain more than a 100 contacts (for example Members A-H, Members I-O and Members P-Z)
Is there any way around this?
2) How do I make the 9300 less like an iPhone and more like my old 9000? I hate the way that when you send a text to a group, if several people reply all the replies are grouped together. With the old 9000 each text from each individual was listed seperately, which actually made it easier to know who had replied.
3) When sending a text to a group, with the 9000 I could see the whole list of recipients, with a red X next to those, who for one reason or another, hadn't received it. With the 9300 I get a red X next to the group name, but not against individuals, so I have no idea who did and who didn't et the message. How do I change the settings so that I do know?

Bulk SMS messaging desktop via phone contract

Hi,
My small business sends thousands of messages per month to our database to find out their availability for work. At present we currently use an online software that we pay for. However, we have a work mobile phone on a monthly contract with unlimited text messages.
The list of people we need to contact changes per job so no list is ever the same. Is there a way for us to some how import our excel file, type a group message to everyone and then send using the messages on our price plan? It would be ideal if we could view it on the computer rather than on the phone for speed and ease...
Does anyone have any ideas?!

The iPhone Messages app does not allow for group messaging to large groups of people. To my knowledge, it is 10 maximum. There are apps for the phone to create groups in the App store, but I believe they have to comply with the 10 maximum as well. This may have changed, but I'm not sure, since I don't use group messaging. If your lists are shorter than that, you could create groups, and you also have the option to connect the iPhone to a Mac computer to use Messaging from the phone, but I'm not sure if that changes the list rules or not.
