PCA_C01 data selection hangs because of 0CHRT_ACCTS

WHen selecting data from 0PCA_C01 using listcube, the systems hangs without any display of results. I figured out that, it is happening only because of 0CHRT_ACCTS. In particular, it is because of /BIC/SCHRT_ACCTS table corruption. I tried RSRV and it did not help as it hanged at 'COMPARE NUMBER RANGE AT SID CHARACTERISTIC'.
I also tried to use RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL/RSDMD_SID_P_Q_REPAIR. This also did not help.
This works fine in production and DEV environments and only hangs in test environment.
Please advise on how to fix this problem.

Data extraction hanging/time-out for certain FISCPER parameters

Hi all,
Our process chain that extracts and load data from one cube into another hangs when the FISCPER parameter value range is on the same fiscal year and the 'period to' value is 09 or less. We've tested this also using RSA3 and the same result happened.
Below are the FISCPER scenarios that we've tested using both our Process Chain and RSA3:
2009001 to 2009012 -> test result is ok
2008001 to 2008011 -> test result is ok
2009002 to 2009012 -> test result is ok
2009001 to 2009009 -> test result is not ok:loading hangs/time-out
2008002 to 2008008 -> test result is not ok:loading hangs/time-out
Can anyone share the solution please if this was also experienced before?

This has been resolved. Oracle release earlier than 10.2.0.4.0 still uses factview when selecting records. Because of this, certain issues arise and one of these is the time-out during data selection. the problem can be solved by disabling the use of factview or by upgrading oracle database.

Fiscal Year = Z-ANOACT
Period = (1CPERIV, 1CPERIB)
So that we have the next screen in the Reports execution.

From Period : 1
To Period : 12
Note:
*Z-ANOACT = Variable so that with a user-exit calculates the actual year. Right now is 2006.
*1CPERIV = This From-Period Variable is referenced to CCSS Table and PERBL Field Name. Its default value is 1.
*1CPERIB = This To-Period Variable is referenced to CCSS Table and PERBL Field Name.
Its default value is 12. Rigth now, we are in the fiscal month 5 (November).
Id like to filtrate information from January,2006,Period:07 to November,2007,Period:05.
I mean I work with the fiscal calendar because the information to get from the table is saved due to this calendar.

The boot selection failed because a device is inaccessible, not the usual boot error though?? (0xc000000e)

I need some help fast please. I recently booted up my gaming rig after swapping out a 7970 graphics card and upon system boot up, as the windows 7 logo appeared the system crashes and a BSOD appears for a split millisecond and I'm asked to start up repair windows
or start windows normally however when I click start up repair a black error screen appears with the following message and error: The boot selection failed because a device is inaccessible error state and an error code:0xc000000e. Now of fixed this before
multiple times except this instance nothing seems to work Ive tried the following:
- check for any unplugged or loose cables
- Re installed my ram
- Booted with on board graphics
- unplugged all usb devices and external devices with the exception of the keyboard and mouse
- Booted with system installation disc and attempted system repair several times only with the same outcome of wanting to restore from a previous system restoration point however it always fails
- changed the boot type to IDE which made the system boot furhter past the logo screen however it still crashes with the same error
- From the system installation disc I ran a chkdsk /f and no corruptions or bad sectors were found
However, I did run from the installation disc a "bcdedit" and my osdevice was unkown and my boot manager and boot loader were set to two different drives on being D: and the other being C:. So I re-linked all three back to the D: drive as the
windows installation disc says thats where Windows 7 is installed, although in the actual windows 7 My Computer its listed as C: drive which is weird? anyways after re-linking them using bcdedit /set {default} osdevice partition=D: and the other two commands
my recovery partition disappeared which was listed as C:, and now I can only see my local drive? That did not fix the error so I tried one last thing and ran another chkdsk D: /f /r which is taking for ages and I'm assuming my hard drive and its contents
are still intact ( thank god!!) because its taking so long and there are 612080 files to be processed!
I thought I might try and rebuild Master Boot Record?
I don't want to loose any of my data, well I hope I haven't lost any because I have over 150+ games and their saves :(
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated :D

Hi,
Repair the current OS using the Windows 2008 / 7 DVD:
Boot to the Windows DVD
Select Next > Repair your computer
Select Next > Command Prompt
Change directory (cd) to x:\Sources\recovery
then type Startrep.exe to launch a quick automated startup repair utility which corrects boot environment values. This step may require more than one attempt and should be repeated a couple of times if the first repair fails.
If step 3 fails, open the command prompt and type bcdedit This
will display the values for Windows Boot Manager.
Review the values for Device. Is it set to unknown, as shown below? If so, proceed to step 7.
At the command prompt, type the following commands (c: is the default system partition. If your original partition was another drive letter, this value can be set to that drive letter):
bcdedit
/set {DEFAULT.EN_US} device partition=c:
(press enter)
bcdedit
/set {DEFAULT.EN_US} osdevice partition=c:
(press enter)
bcdedit
/set {BOOTMGR.EN_US} device partition=c:
(press enter)
Reboot the system after removing the OS disk.

I understand you told me about the ABAP code, for example my characteristics in the general data selection are:

To       Period: 5   (I would have an error here because From-Period Variable is greater than To-Period Variable)

If I run the report with these last parameters you told me, report painter only would add information from year 2006 and fiscal months 1 to 11 (July to May except June). We dont want this, that we want is :

As it is a daily load, manually repeating the load from the past 10 days.

Thanks for your valuable inputs, Problem is solved.
The Reason is that, there is a time difference in the r/3 system and bi system.
The tolerable time differene shud be only 60 seconds.
Basis guys took down time at the OS level and hav made the timers sync.....
The problem is on the source system GNP time differences
persists, which can cause the problem with delta upload .

This leads to an exception of the delta processing, because this
tolerates a deviation of 60 seconds only (When the repeat is processed,
the "local time" in the ABAP is higher than the qrfc counter at the time when the delta was processed -> So a repeat works fine).
Please synchronize the timers like described in attached note 101726 and 741734 to eliminate the time difference .

Dynamic data selection in process chain

Dear BW gurus,
I've an infocube 0PA_C01. I'm gettting data with data source 0HR_PA_0. Because of
time-dependency of personel data i should get the package month by month. SO I set the data selection parameter 0CALMONTH in data package.
0CALMONTH=200601-200601;
0CALMONTH=200602-200602;
My question is how can i use this data package in a process chain for automatically getting data each month without manually changing data selection parameter.

What is the difference between 'Data selection' and 'Person selection' in PNP screen.(PNP logical database)
I searched so many . But couldn't find appropriate one. Still confusing.
Can any one explain me with example?
must use both at a time or any one selection is enough?
Which situation use 'Data selection' and which situation use 'Person selection' ?

In above all cases picking the same record. what is the use of PNP screen?
after 'GET PERNR' pernr structure get the value of latest record from infotype P0000.ie firing record. Because it doesn't bother the status.

Vbund in general data selection ( report writer)

I wanted to add to general data selection in report field Trading Partner.
I did following actions:
1. Created copy of library 1VK
2. Added to this copied library ( let's call it ZVJ) characteristic VBUND
3. In grr2 I inserted into ZVJ report 1SIP-001.
4. Now I want to add selection field trading partner in this report. I added trading partner to general data selection but when click on search help to add value that allows me to choose trading partner i got following message:

Reporting Library 1VK use the standard CO Structure VBUND and be aware that
the field VBUND can be activated in the line item reporting but not in the Report Writer Reporting (table CCSS). In particular, no set can be created for field VBUND.This is standard limitation.
The reason is the Report Writer always takes the field catalogue from the control entries for CO Strucrure CCSS from the Report Writer summary Table - T804E.
In the default setting, the fields are taken from structure CCR1Z because the indicator L/F is marked only for them. Since CCR1Z does not contain the field VBUND that's the reason why system can not create any set for the field - VBUND.So it is correct that you might find the field - VBUND in the CCSS Structure however you can not use this field as a part of report painter report in this library.

No data selected in data source 2LIS_04_PECOMP

Hi SAP BI Experts,
We are facing issues while extracting data from infopackage u201CFULL /
2LIS_04_PECOMP InfoCube 0PP_C08u201DData source u201C2LIS_04_PECOMPu201D.
We have deleted the erroneous data from cube 0PP_C08 date range
26.02.2009 to 2.03.2009. Now while extracting the data (Full load
infopackage) from data source no record selected message displayed.
In PSA no data selected. We have checked in RSA3 as well no data
selected from 26.02.2009 to 03.03.2009.
Please note that Delta Infopackage for same data source is working fine.
Full Infopackage & RSA3 extracting data till Dec 2008 but 2009 no data available.
Note : Action Taken
DELTA is enabled on this data source, since the day we went LIVE. And because of the RECENT erroneous data deletion,
We want to repair the data by running the FULL upload for the week. But when we run the full repair upload info package,
we get no result. We tried running RSA3 for the same week, that also returned no records.
RSA7 still shows the record ; since the DELTA is active. Hence the data is available in the queue.
2. Not sure of this but I tried to setup the statistical data using OLIFBW u2013 Reorg REP manufacturing , it gives the message,
DataSource 2LIS_04_PECOMP contains data still to be transferred Message no. MCEX024.
My log in NPRT does not show any records. I checked the setup table MC04P_0COMSETUP, there is no data.
Kindly suggest the next step to get this data from 2LIS_04_PECOMP.
Please help us on this.

Custom Date Selection

Hi,
Can the behaviour of date selection using af:selectInputDate or af:chooseDate be changed?
We want the user to use af:selectInputDate (or af:chooseDate) to select a date from a list of dates.
Dates that are not in the provided list should be disabled (i.e., no hyperlink to click).
Because of the large number of valid dates, we cannot use an af:selectOneChoice.

form where do you take this ? I don't see Shay mentioning this. The disabled dates can be skinned, but they don't support overlay images

SAP GRC 10.1 AMF No data selected when adding duplicate fields from separate tables for configurable data sources

Hi There,
In SAP GRC 10.0, our team had an issue where we could not add duplicate fields from separate table (see ERROR: Select Currency/UoM field for the selected analyzed fields). This was resolved by the SAP Note 1904313/ 1904314 (http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1904313).
We upgraded our system to SAP GRC 10.1 SP05 and could now add the duplicate fields from separate tables. SAP Note 1904313/ 1904314 was part of SAP GRC 10.1 SP03 so it makes sense that we, in a higher version (SP05), would be able to do this.
The issue now is when we add the duplicate fields from different tables and run the Ad-hoc Query to test if the data source works correctly, the No Data Selected warning persists. This means that the data source provides no data for analysis, which is required to write our business rules.
Below is an example:
Basic data source with just one currency reference field EBAN-WAERS.
When you run the Ad-Hoc Query you receive data.
Basic data source with second currency reference field EKKO-WAERS.
When you run the Ad-Hoc Query no data is found.
Please also make reference to the following thread logged by my colleague (ERROR: Select Currency/UoM field for the selected analyzed fields)
Any assistance to receive data with duplicate fields from separate tables will be highly appreciated.

Is it possible to have an Infopackage and change the data selection tab page ? Because I would like to know if I can change the select-options by a parameter.
For example: Now you can enter 01.01.1950 as the start date and 31.12.9999 as the end date,
I only want that the user enter the start date.

Saved Data Selection Formula

Hi...
I need some help in creating a Saved Data Selection formula. The data source is a SQL Server Stored Procedure which returns a number of fields including 16 'flag' fields which can contain either a 0 or a 1.
The client wants to select which 'flag' fields will be used to filter the report, interactively changing the selection(s).
Any number of fields could be selected, or just 1.
The parameter has values 1-16 along with a description. The description is what the user sees. The parameter is named 'Indicator'
I'm stumbling over the fact that the formula has to return a boolean.... I tried:
if not hasvalue({?Indicator}) or {?Indicator}=0 then 1=1;
    if hasvalue({?Indicator}) and {?Indicator} = 1 and {p_rpt_Customer_AutoHigh.is_314a}
    or hasvalue({?Indicator}) and {?Indicator} = 2 and {p_rpt_Customer_AutoHigh.is_auto}
    or hasvalue({?Indicator}) and {?Indicator} = 3 and {p_rpt_Customer_AutoHigh.is_autohigh_update}
etc.....
    then 1 = 1
    else 1=0;
but I'm not certain how to construct the logic because at the end of all this, I need a THEN... which makes no sense...
I've created Saved Data Selects before, but there were specific tests that were applied, for examplde....
if hasvalue({?Parameter}) and {?Parameter}=1 then {field) in LastFullWeek
These were discrete user selections, not multiple selections, and the 'test' was concrete - this in there!
Any help you could provide would be welcome....

You don't actually have to have an If statement for this. Your comparisons all evaluate to true or false anyways So, what you can do is something like this:

Note also that you don't have to include "hasvalue()" in all of the lines. This is because of the way Boolean expressions are processed. Because of the "or", Crystal will only process until it hits the first "true" result. If {?Indicator} doesn't have a value, it will be caught with the "not hasvalue({?Indicator})" in the first line and none of the rest of the formula will be processed.

How to change date selections at Infopackage data selections in production sys

Hi All ,
we are loading data into Infocube from datasource ,one process chain for delta init with data transfor ,which has data selections at infopackage say 06.2014 and other process chain for delta which has same selections at infopackage . Now I want change this data selections at Infopackage level .
I Have tried to change these dates in data selections at infopackage level , tho I have changed and saved to future date at delta initial with data transfor ,it's keep coming back to 06.2014. Of course data selection at delta Infopackage level is faded .
I Want to set future date with delta int with disturbing delta loads . How to do it please .

Hi Ram,
We will load delta Intial with data transfer every weekend , and we run delta everyday , because we do delta init with data transfer with selections say ( 01.20011 to 12.2003 ) every weekend , hope I need to create new delta infopack with new data selections say ( 01.2004 to 12.9999) only to get update data in Infocube.
Please correct me if I am wrong .
