PCUI - My Teams Overdue Activites

Hi,
We're using the Sales Manager role in the PCUI in CRM.  There is a page displaying My Teams Overdue Activities - page name 'com.sap.pct.crm.act.myteams_overdue_activities'.  In saphelp it explains that this page should do the following:
'This iView displays activities that are overdue on the current date, that is, their planned completion date is earlier than the current date. All activities are displayed that belong to users in the sales manager's team.'
Has anyone used this before and know what I need to do to get to see 'My Team's' activities.  I have created a 'position' in the org model and assigned users to this position.  I assume this would work but it didn't so I was wondering how I can assign users to a team?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Jojo,
We also use this iView and had the likeliy the same problem as you.
In your org model you need an additional (second) position which is marked as "Head of own organisational unit". Assign a person (a team leader) to this position.
i.e. :
Org unit
|
|-position one
|  |-employee1
|  |-empl.2
|
|-position team leader (with "head of own ...")
   |-employee5 (team leader)
   |- ...
All employees under the "position team leader" would see all activities under "Org unit" by startig i.e. "My Team's Activities".

  • Hyperlinks on todays/Overdue activities

    We have deployed EP6 and PC-UI for CRM. For certain users, the activities hyperlink on the overdue activities is not working on the portal.I have noticed that this is a Java iView.
    Can we have some guidance on this problem.

Also have a look at Function Module CRM_PRT_GET_SINGLE_NAV_INFO to do a direct test in CRM. Here is the example code for the Link generation for Opportunities:

  • CRM "My Overdue Activities" hyperlink change

    Hi all,
    I would like to change the hyperlinks in the "My Overdue Activities" iView to go to a different application. So far, I've found that this is a Java iView, but I don't know where to edit it. Is there a way to get to the source code of this Java iView to modify it or do I need to recreate this iView in BSP or Web Dynpro?

  • PCUI - Quick search for Activities

    Hi Group,
    I need to add a quick search to activity application. Basically what I want is to do a fast search (GET) based on activity number. I tried to set this up in search group but the PUCI book says the search group is only used for advanced search.
    Could you let me know where I need to set this up?

    Hi Chandrika,
    you only have to add field OBJECT_ID (from the underlying structure CRMT_BSP_ACTIVITY_SEARCH) to the field group ACT_ADVANCED_SEARCH or if it is already within this field group you should check if the parameter 'Not in List' is checked (uncheck it).
    Don't forget to generate the field group ACT_ADVANCED_SEARCH afterwards.

    We have configured the follow-up Activities from Leads/Opportunities in CRM. We created a standalone PCUI BSP iView for Activities and assigned ACTIVITYCRM object type to our Role.
    Leads to follow-up Opportunities is working but from Leads/Opportunities to follow-up Activities is NOT working. Standalone Activities is working though directly from the menu.
    Any input/thought will be appreciated.

    Please check the follow the below points.
    1. SPRO -> CRM -> Layout of user Interface -> Navigation (URL generation) -> Assign Object Method to Role. (Check your role and object with Portal Role)
    2. Add "CRM_URL_BUFFER_OFF" = "X" Parameter in SU01 for the user.
    3. If you assigned many roles to the user in CRM check the Priority.

  • PM - Comparisson of internal and external activities - performance

    Dear All:
    Our custumer wants to compare the performance of internal team's activities with those done by external teams.
    External are normally used with service, (DIEN) material. But I can't use DIEN materials for internal activities, those are controlled normally with work centers.
    Does somebody knows how can we solve the customer's problem ??

    tks for the reply. We got the point now... I gave this solution to the customer, bur the problem is that they use DIEN materials for external services and work centers for internal and they want to compare both. I told that the possibilities were:
    1) Use internal and external work centers, as you said
    2) Use service packs, changing the control key for those external so we can use both internal and external services. For this they shoul to confirm acitivities sheets
    3) Perhaps use a contract with the company as a supplier (I don't know how to deal with the costs) and use internal as "external" services. But they reply saying that even with one contract with 0,01 cost, they whould have taxes at the end of month.
    They want to use DIEN material for both cases. Is that possible ? In my understanding, it's impossible.

  • Error in JAVA install in CRM

    Hi,
    I am doing Java Add On installation in CRM system (after upgrade from CRM 3.0 to 5.0). Its in central instance installation phase(SCS and DB instance done). I am getting an error in 'Enter the central instance ' input phase. There are 4 entries in the drop down with same instance name. I have tried to go ahead with each entry, however its giving error message that 'Caught EKdException in Modulecall: single select returns more than on row '.
    Any ideas?

  • Error in Service Contract in CRM 4.0

    I am running into a wierd problem in our CRM 4.0 production system. On a particular service contract, I am getting the following error.

    The pricing procedure on the service contract has suddenly disappeared. But it is present in the underlying tables. This contract is old and has a number of invoices already posted against it. So something bad happened in IPC.
    Has anybody had this error before? Any help will be welcome.

  • Type of users needed to view reports in portal

    HI gurus,
    I am planning to grant acces to bw reports to some portal users.
    The portal users only would visualize iviews based on reports and or querys and will nbot interact with the bw backend system.
    I am trying to avoid to create a user in the bw system for each portal user who need to consult the reports because of the sap license cost, but I do not have any idea how to map several portal users to one bw user?
    Any idea or help will be welcome.

    Only by creating roles are you able to assign different pieces of content
    to different groups of users.
    First Create a  User Group and put your Content in that group, the create a role and assign this group to that perticular Role.
    A role is a container for applications and
    information that can be assigned to a
    particular group of users.
    1 The content of a role enables users to perform
    the tasks in their respective job description.
    2 The content of a role is based on the company
    structure and on the information needs of the
    portal users in the company.
    3 The portal navigation structure is defined by
    the sum of the roles assigned to the user.
    4 Technically, a role is a hierarchy of folders
    containing other portal content objects.
    5 Roles can be assigned to users or groups of
    users, i.e. the portal role connects users (or
    groups of users) to the portal content.
    What are Worksets?
    1 A role usually consists of one or more
    worksets that bundle applications and
    information.
    2 A workset is a collection of applications
    and information that belong together from
    a semantic point of view because they are
    part of the same activity area (e.g.
    controlling or budgeting) of a user.
    3 Whereas a role is based on global
    company structures, a workset is based on
    user-specific tasks or activities (for

    worksets in the u201CManageru201D role).
    3 Worksets are building blocks for roles:

    I am implementing ESS/MSS. We have install the Business Package for Manager Self-Service (SAP ERP) 1.41.
    In the Business Pacakage 1.41 the manager not can edit skills for employees in his or her area of responsibility, but with the  Business Pacakage 6.01there is a workset:Workset: Manager Self-Service: My Staff

    The question is: I can display this funcionality for the BP 1.41 of MSS?

    Firstly if you are using an ITS based iview or service like PZ31 - this is no longer supported by SAP with
    ECC systems 600 or higher (604 etc) due to the kernel 700 incompatibility with ITS 620 based service calls
    - customers would have to adapt PZ31 themselves for use in integrated ESS environment
    Regarding ESS in MSS workset --->
    The ESS in MSS workset is replaced by the "Self-Service for My Employee"
    iview. The manager can also use this area to carry out Employee       
    Self-Service (ESS) transactions on behalf of his or her employees,     
    provided that the manager has been assigned the required authorization 
    for these transactions. This is especially useful if the employee does 
    not have access to a terminal at his or her workstation.                                                                               
    This is available in workset Team -->Related Activities      
    This option requires Web Dynpro for ESS to be implemented
    If you do not see this in BP 1.41 - you may need to mix the content of 1.0 and 1.41 roles
    I would also look at note  786917 regarding PZ31 - there may be other ways of maintaining this in ERP
    - there may also be corresponding ways of including or accessing this content in MSS

    My application has different profiles which are assigned differents views.
    E.g. When an IT manager logs in a screen showing a project team, the activities, the cost for each activity, etc shows up. But when a task responsable logs in, only all details about his task but the cost is shown.
    Which pattern or desing can I implement to do this profiles->views architecture.

  • One employee in several Sales Orgs?

    Hello experts,
    We have sales assistants that are sometimes assigned to several Sales Orgs. Unfortunately it looks like in C4C an Employee can only be assigned to one Sales Org.
    Is someone aware of a scoping parameter/question that we missed that would allow us to do this? Or does someone have an idea of a potential work around for that?
    They would need to access My Team's Accounts, My Team's Activities etc. for all teams they are assigned to for their daily jobs. This is why we were trying to assign them to multiple sales orgs.

    As an update, it worked with the Territories even with a higher level, so we could do what we needed.
    The trick was just to use the Recommended restriction view in the Access Restriction of the role assigned to the user and make sure it was properly updated after the background job. Also I put the assistants higher in the Sales Orgs to avoid any conflicts due to the Employee/Manager relationship.
    The Assistants are now associated to a Sales Region (in the territory management part this is one level before the last - Sales Territory), as any Sales Managers, and are associated to multiple Regions.
    They can see all relevant Activities and only those.
    At the same time, due to the Org Structure they can see all Accounts under their Org Struct which is consistent with our rights there as well.
    Bottom line: Territory Management and Org Management are really close when it comes to right management, and in the end they work well together as long as you make sure your access restrictions are set up correctly and that your users' roles are properly updated.
