PD - retrict the level of the positon for appraisal template

Hi All
We are working on appraisal template. in appraisal template when the manager selects the PHAP_PREPARE TC and esxutes it takes to the template selection.
in the appraisal template the manager should be able to see only the employee till the exective level. but not all the employee...
Please let me know how to restrict this template view only til the exectuve level for the manager

What is the workflow for creating templates in full FrameMaker and pushing them to XML Author?

I'm working for a large organization (3000+) that is subdivided into 60+ business units. I'm trying to figure out the workflow for using full FrameMaker to create a template that I can provide my business units to fill in via XML Author, send back to me, and then I can publish into a number of products using the Tech. Comm. Suite. I am somewhat new to XML so I am not sure how to get my structure and format to translate.
Can anybody clarify what the general workflow would be for this process? All I have been able to find is the flowchart showing full FM to XML to XML Author and back to full FM. From my test driving of the Tech Comm Suite though it has not appeared that easy.

Here's a rough outline of what is needed.
1) First, you'll need to define the data model that your documents are using. This could be some existing model like DITA or a new custom model. Depending on the complexity of your document's needs, this may drive that decision.
2) Once you've got a model, you'll need to create a structure application (in full FM). This structure application defines the model and appearance of documents. This will provide the fundamental structure of the "template" as well as placeholder text for the elements where you want people to provide information.
3) Then you have to install the structure application on each of the XML Author installations. This involves copying the structure application definitions file (structapps.fm) onto the client systems as well as the structure application files (into the proper location as indicated in the structure application definition). The structure application definition may reference these files at a network location, which might simplify the deployment, but would require that each person is connected to that network in order to create the files (pros/cons with this approach).
Once that's set up, your XML Author users should (in theory) be able to create a new document using the new structure application, then send you the resulting files. Lots of hand waving here .. but that's the general idea.

Where is the code for html template stored on the server

I would like to make changes to the html template source code, mainly to update the hard coded server name in it.
Instead of doing one by one in portal builder, I would like to search for all on the server.
Can someone tell me where are they stored?

wow!
well, if you wish to do it programmatically, you will have something generic to search and replace (like the hardcoded servername as you said). that will not be sitting in any variable to go and edit. in other words, you wanna edit an uncategorized content value so it will be a job to search and find it in a general text attribute/field value. it will be a pain.
one method could be to write a script (shell, nt, csh, sh, or simply sed) to make all of those generic changes in any template content. now copy and paste all items out in a temp file, run the script, and paste back the output to the template.
however, if you're determined to modify uncategorized content using APIs, you might wanna try this:
Look into wwsbr_api.set_attribute and look for wwsbr_api.ATTRIBUTE_ITEM_TEMPLATE to focus on the template you have. It might work out. more on it is here.

We created the text of Description Standard for a Category using the T.code PHAP_CATALOG_PA.
We have ESS/MSS and have the following doubt:
If I want display this text for ESS/MSS I need use the Type of Description "X Web Laout"?
There are is a funcionallity standard(Report) that copy the text created with the text of Description Standard to Type of
Description "X Web Laout" for not do the same two twice?

Link missing for appraisal documents in MSS Status overview

Hi all,
For ESS Status overview page of Flexible Appraisal document, the appraisal documents are listed with links. when we click the link, its taking to the appraisal document.
For MSS Status overview page of Flexible Appraisal documents, the appraisal documents are shown as texts and there is no link. (hyperlink). Opening the document is possible only by clicking 'Display' or 'Edit' button.
I have checked throughout the SDN and unable to find the problem. Our functional team says that the link was appearing before. Could some one help on what configuration is necessary to get the link for appraisal documents in MSS

Air for Android template missing from Flash CS5 Professional

I am trying to get started with developing android apps in flash. Most tutorials begin with my selecting the Air for Android template in Flash CS5 Pro. This option is not available to me. When I try to install the extension I get this: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashpro_extensionforair/

Or you can access the above path directly by Transaction code : PHAP_CATALOG_PA
There you can find the standard SAP appraisal templates and you can chamge it as per your requirement.

To answer your question, you are not able to check your ink levels from ePrint Center. The only thing that you can do in ePrint Center is monitor the status of your recent print jobs that you send via ePrint and monitor the status of connection of your printer to the ePrint Servers.

I made an account just to "like" your comment and say that you are a god among men.
I've been searching for hours about how to make the zoom level persistent throughout following links in various PDF's I have, and most sources were saying to just buy acrobat pro and edit the bookmarks manually with it.
I saw that it was possible to write an application to change the property, and considered doing it after the only pre-existing custom application I could find was asking for $50.
Thanks to you, I no longer have to worry about re-zooming every time I click a bookmark, and I'm not out $50 or the time it would take to code an app myself!

What is the criteria for a post to show up in the top-level MacBook area?

I thought that the newest posts from the "Using your MacBook" section always showed up in the top-level MacBook section (here):

Do the recommended pixel levels contained on the iphoto help page TS1135 apply to single prints or to apple books. The rate for A4 images is 1754 X 1240 pixels.

Help page TS 1135 suggests 1754 x 1240 pixels for A4 print Is this the same for apple Picture Books as well as single prints.

The widely-used measures are:
- 300 PPI for sharp hand-held print, examined closely but without magnification.
- 200 PPI in a pinch. No data to spare, but skillfully-handled (sharpened) can be as good as 300 PPI. Most people won't notice a difference between 200 PPI and 300 PPI
- 150 PPI if you must. Effectively the lower limit. Difference will be visible to all. Can still be made to look good, but requires careful "up-res-ing".
These numbers are independent of the type of printer or the make or model of the printer, or the use of the print.
Of course, if the picture is being hung of a wall and not seen closer than arms-length, than those numbers are too high. It depends very much on the viewing distance. (The billboards on the roof of the former light-industrial building where I keep a studio are printed at a PPI that is less than one*. The images and letterforms on them look sharp from the highway.)
A4 is 8.27 in × 11.69 in. The rest is arithmetic.

Can not input data when removed the value for seleciton condition

Dear Experts,
We met a very strange issue for the IP.
We create a aggregation level and relatd query for user to key in data.
We have a filter in the aggregation level.
It will set value for A,B,C,D
When user opent he report, system will require user to key in the value for A,B,C,D.
Now we found that if we key in value for B, cell is input ready.
If we removed the value in for the B in the selection condition (I mean the value of B is empty, this means tha all the value of B will display in the report), we can not key in data.
Could you kindly let me kow the reason?

I know the principle for the IP.
But I think you may misunderstanding this issue due to my incorrect explaination.
First, we think the aggreagtion level is ok. This is due to that for the B in my example, we set its as column value in the query.
This is means for each record in the IP query, it has only one B value to reflect it.
But strange things is that if we set fixed value for B, IP input is ok.
If we removed fixed value for B, IP function is error.
Now, we will test if we key in multi value for B whether IP input function is ok or not.
Any update, I will inform you.
