PDF automatically filling To/CC/BCC fields on Email

Hey all,
I've been searching for days now and have come up empty. I'm currently editing a PDF document to automatically fax (through efax, so through Outlook) a PDF document to one to four fax numbers on a button push. I'm trying to do this without third-party software but if anyone has any recommendations for some, I'd be open to that. Am I missing something painfully obvious?
Thanks,
Mills

I am guessing you will have to save the PDF as a TIFF file (1 file for each page) and then open those in your FAX software. FAX messages are generally TIFF transmissions and you would need to be compatible with that. It may be that your FAX software has a print to fax feature similar to the Adobe PDF printer. If so, then that is the best route to take.

  • Automatic filling of form table-fields in the document

    Hi Gurus,
    We are working with sap RM on WAS640.
    In our Record Model we need to include a Word document that is to be used as a template. Inside the template we defined a table which has a fixed number of columns and one line which will be contains one position of a SAP document (for example an order).
    We want to fill the lines of the table at run time. We need that the system add a new line to the table inside of  the document/template, if necessary (SAP document has more than one position), dynamically.
    Is it possible by means of de connection parameter <b>FUNCTION_GET_FORM_DATA</b>?. if no, does exist another ‘exit’ to fill this kind of ‘table’ form fields dynamically?
    Thanks in advance,
       Cima.

    "path" is a keyword within a PDF you should not use keywords as a name for any other object as a general rule.
    Have you checked the PDF Reference to see how to create a file path name within a PDF,  3.10.1 File Specification Strings page 118?
    Did you carefully read the Acrobat JavaScript Reference for the saveAs method?
    The notes following the description:
    Note: This method can only be executed during a batch or console event. See Privileged versus non-privileged context for details. The event object contains a discussion of JavaScript events.

    Could you mention the path/

    Hi
    Alternatively you can maintain it in Purchasing Info record at purh org level ( ME12). It will populate automatically during creation of PO.
    Here you have control over vendor/Material combination.
    Hope it helps

  • Automatic fill up the text fields

    Hi everyone!
    I have the table with 3 columns - name&surname,birthday and the place of birthday.
    Also I have drop-down list which is filled with items from name&surname column and 3 text fields which according as birthday and place of birthday columns.
    So, when I will choose one item from drop-down list, I want that 3 text fields automatic will fill up with data from table.
    I hope you understood me.
    Thanks anyway!

    It is simply a case of navigating the hierarchy of the Form structure to get to the object that you want. For example if I have a form and a page on the page we have a table with rows and in the row we have a field, you would use an expression something like this:
    TargetField.rawValue = form1.Page1.Table1.row[instance number].fieldname.rawValue
    where instancenumber is a 0 based index of the row that you want to extract.
    Hope that helps

  • Automatically fill in an a text field after a selection from dropdown field in a acrobat form.

    I have two fields. One dropdown menu field for employee name and one field for occupation (an text field). I would like to let a employee select his name and automatically fill in the text field with his occupation. So for example:
    John---> Automatically fill in "Engineer" etc..
    Thank you in advance!

  • Disc.base field automatically filling in FB60 or F-43.

    Hi,
    Why System automatically Post the amount in Dis.Base field, actually i maintain all parameters in vendor master record. (Ex: if i post transaction in FB60 that automatically fill the Disc.base field also.)

    See the below
    Amount Eligible for Cash Discount in Document Currency
    Definition
    Part of the invoiced amount for which cash discount is granted. The amount is always in document currency.
    Procedure
    During document entry, the amount qualifying for cash discount can be determined manually or automatically. The amount is determined automatically if no entry is made or a '*' is entered.
    To determine this amount automatically, the system takes into account the offsetting items relevant to cash discount for the invoice item and the rules assigned per company code for processing cash discount and taxes.

  • How can I make PDF forms filled in Preview show correctly in Acrobat?

    Dears list members, there is a known issue with PDF forms filled in Preview: the fields do not show properly in Adobe Acrobat. How can this issue be solved? On the internet, I found two basic solutions: (a) to flatten the document by printing it as a PDF and (b) to use a costum-made script. Is there an official correction for this bug that does not involve installing suspicious scripts? Thanks!

  • I purchased my iMac used.  When I try to update my apps the computer automatically fills in the previous owner's Apple ID and I can't change it.  Any ideas?

    I purchased my iMac used.  When I try to update apps in AppStore, the computer automatically fills in the previous owner's email address and it won't let me delete it to enter mine.  I have been using my own apple ID and password on this computer for other things without a problem.  Any ideas?

    Before buying a second-hand computer, you should have run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, whichever is applicable.
    The first thing to do after buying the computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You—not the original owner—must do that. Changes made by Apple over the years have made this seemingly straightforward task very complex.
    How you go about it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
    It's unsafe, and may be unlawful, to use a computer with software installed by a previous owner.
    1. If you don't own another Mac
    a. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller—not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine is very old and has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
    b. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for a MacBook Air. You should have received the media from the original owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
    To start up from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then restart the computer and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
    c. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should start up in Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
    d. Some 2010-2011 models shipped with OS X 10.6 and received a firmware update after 10.7 was released, enabling them to use Internet Recovery. If you have one of those models, you can't reinstall 10.6 even from the original media, and Internet Recovery will not work either without the original owner's Apple ID. In that case, contact Apple Support, or take the machine to an Apple Store or another authorized service provider to have the OS installed.
    2. If you do own another Mac
    If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to prepare a USB device, then start up the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can start from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
    3. Partition and install OS X
    a. If you see a lock screen when trying to start up from installation media or in Recovery mode, then a firmware password was set by the previous owner, or the machine was remotely locked via iCloud. You'll either have to contact the owner or take the machine to an Apple Store or another service provider to be unlocked. You may be asked for proof of ownership.
    b. Launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive—not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the  Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
    c. An unusual problem may arise if all the following conditions apply:
              OS X 10.7 or later was installed by the previous owner
              The startup volume was encrypted with FileVault
              You're booted in Recovery mode (that is, not from a 10.6 installation disc)
    In that case, you won't be able to unlock the volume or partition the drive without the FileVault password. Ask for guidance or see this discussion.
    d. After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. If you're installing a version of OS X acquired from the App Store, you will need the Apple ID and password that you used. When the installation is done, the system will automatically restart into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
    e. Run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the original owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed—you have to repurchase them.
    4. Other issues
    a. If the original owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're irrevocably linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
    b. If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to  authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.
    c. When trying to create a new iCloud account, you might get a failure message: "Account limit reached." Apple imposes a lifetime limit of three iCloud account setups per device. Erasing the device does not reset the limit. You can still use an iCloud account that was created on another device, but you won't be able to create a new one. Contact iCloud Support for more information. The setup limit doesn't apply to Apple ID accounts used for other services, such as the iTunes and Mac App Stores, or iMessage. You can create as many of those accounts as you like.

  • Automate filling a PDF Form

    Hi All
    I have Adobe acrobat Standard installed on my system and i want to automate filling a PDF Form.
    While doing this am not able to get any of the field names. Here is the peice of code i used, can any one help me out what i need to do?
    Set AcroExchApp = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")
      AcroExchApp.Show
      Set AcroExchAVDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.AVDoc")
      OK = AcroExchAVDoc.Open(Filename,"")
      Set PDDoc = AcroExchAVDoc.GetPDDoc()
      Set jso = PDDoc.GetJSObject
      Set AFormAut = CreateObject("AFormAut.App")
      Set Fields = AFormAut.Fields
      'Set f = jso.getField(FieldName)
      For Each Field In Fields
          FieldName = Field.Name
          Set f = jso.getField(FieldName)
          f.value = "Hello"
      Next
    Here am not able to enter into the loop.
    One more thing when ever i get Field name using Field.Name method i want to high light that particular field. Is any one has any kind of method for highlighting all the fields.
    Thanks in Advance..

    Hi,
    If you set the font size of the text field value (not the caption) to zero then the text will shrink to fit.  This can be set in the font palette.  But this can reduce the text so small that it can't be read.  If you are developing a dynamic form then you can set the text field to expand to fit (in the layout palette), just make sure the containing subform is set to flowed, when the user exits the field it will expand to fit all text.

  • Automatically fill in field based on data from table rows

    hello,
    Users in our organization currently have to complete a number of different forms when an accident occurs. I am creating a .pdf that combines these fomrs into one, with the first portion being a data input section where the user inputs the data and then this populates other sections (pages of the form) that can later be saved and printed.
    The data input section contains subforms with tables. The tables have a row that has "add new item" and "delete this item" buttons.  The rows have dropdown list fields.
    I would like to create a field that will be automatically filled in with the values from the dropdown lists, including the values from the new rows that are added using the 'add new item' button.
    Any assistance in this regard would be most appreciated.  This is my first time on a forum, so I apologize if I have not been clear.
    Thank you.

    This is pretty complicated. You'll have to use scripting for this and I'll tell you how I'd approach this with JavaScript.
    First of all you need to decide at what point you want to populate this field with the drop down selections. I think you have two options.
    Option 1 - Automatically calculate this field each time a user makes a drop-down selection. It's possible that a user will enter data and then change a drop down value so you'll have to account for this.
    Option 2 - Create an update button that users click to calculate this field. There is still a risk that users will change the value in the drop down after clicking update, so you would want to use scripting to lock those fields (e.g. make them protected) when the update button is clicked. You could then change the caption of this same button or have a second button that when clicked would unlock those drop down fields.
    The other thing you need to do is figure out how to calculate this field. It seems to me you would probably build a string together that mixes text with the drop-down values. So your JavaScript would look something like this:
    calculatedField.rawValue = "The accident occurred on " + table.row1.date.rawValue + ". It was witnessed by " + table.row1.witness1.rawValue +
                                                      " and " + table.row1.witness2.rawValue + ".";
    When you're in the LC Designer JavaScript editor, hold control for the relative path to those fields and control + shift for the absolute path and then click on the fields whose values you want to access.
    I hope this points you in the right direction!

  • How to prevent an automatic fill in of the current date into a Date/Time Field

    hi,
    maybe i checked out a strange behaviour of the adobe designer. when i put a "normal" data/time field (with no data pattern, display pattern, etc.) on a form and then change (on the pdf preview tab) to the newly designed date field,i have to stay about 2 minutes on this field not filling it out.
    after these minutes the current date is filled in automatically in the date/time field.
    what can i do preventing that? any hints?
    thanks in advance.

    I don't have any info on timelines, all I can say is check back in future versions of Acrobat :(

    The add annotations field shows as not allowed in the security options. So how do I send this form back with the changes??

    I think you you need to click 'save' first, then it is saved to acrobat, where it will prompt to send.

  • Automatic Filling of same fields

    Hello All I am new to this and I am trying to create a form on Lifecycle. The form I am creating has 3 pages and 2 of those are identical. The 2 identical pages have to have the same data in them. How can I get it set up so that when the uder inputs information on the first page that same info automatically fills in on the sacond page in the same fields. Thanks...

    Set the binding tab on those fields to Global and make sure they have the same name.
    Or you can programmaticaly push the values from the 1st fields into the 2nd ones. Use the exit event of the 1st field and this javascript code:
    Field2.rawValue = Field1.rawValue;
