PDF Creator Plugin crashs Word.

I have not seen the actual event, but the user after using the create PDF on the
Acrobat ribbon tab Word will crash. At this point Word can never be open again unless you run repair. The user can print to the Adobe PDF, but is alot more work. How do we stop the PDF Creator to stop crashing Word?
Windows XP SP 3 all patchs
Office 2007 SP2 all patchs
Acrobat Pro 9.3.2 all patchs
This is a clean install of Acrobat, as I had to remove version 8 because it kept breaking on more than one computer. (Long story, it would update then would never really be updated or think its not or cause other issues.)
I did install Reader 9.3.2 and BullPDF printer at first as a free alternative, but boss liked the functionability of the full Acrobate so I removed BullPDF and forgot reader was on there and Acrobat never removed it. I did remove it just before removing the plugin but I can't see that being the culprit.

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details like what version of the Office products. Either way, ask in the Acrobat forum.

Contribute plugins crash Word 2007

Cursor movement within the edit space of Word 2007 (and a few
other places in Word, like the Word options dialog box) stopped
after installing Adobe CS3. I traced the problem to
Adobe Contribute CS3's OfficePlugIn.dll. I disabled it for
Word. This required a registry edit. Cursor movement for Word
returned, but Word still always exited with a crash (ugly!). I then
tried to remove another suspected culprit,
ContributeWordUITemplate.dot., using Word's Templates and
Add-Ins dialog box. Attempts to OK my choice immediately end in a

Does anyone know of a solution to this behavior by
Contribute? It resembles the behavior of malicious code: wreck the

I tried printing to a PDF file and for the first time I get an error
listing:

I did not select this font, MS Word did when I created a few formulas. The
font is in the Windows Font folder. Selecting it and trying to change the
font just causes it to either not change or change back to Cambria Math
after a few seconds.
It prints fine on the printer, and HP LaserJet.

Office PDF Print and office PDF creator(adobe plugin) create different line thickness result

Hi together,
Office PDF Print and office abobe PDF creator(adobe plugin) create different result. It seems that Adobe PDf creater improves line thickness to 1pt instead of 0,3pt. Is there a setting to change to original 0,3 because this 0,3 are standard line thickness for our documents. with adobe V9 the line was 0,3pt. (we need thin, mid and thick lines)
After 2 day's google searching this is the last change for hope :-)

Thanks a lot for the fast reply, i have tested it with 300dpi but I didn't get a different result. The bad thing is that not all lines getting thicker. if there is no arrow or ball at the end of the line the line thickness will not change (see Pic). I think this is a Acrobat error, i don't think that this will improve the pdf quality if the progam changes only some lanes and not all to 1pt.
I Think we must downgrade to version 9.

Is there any other solution for Adobe Flash plugin crashing than the posted one about updating Flash and Mozilla? I cannot open any PDF files online and updated both Mozilla and Flash player to most recent with no change in the crashing.

I was able to open PDFs online until version 8. Since upgrading to version 9 and now 10, I have crashes every time I try to open a PDF online and can see the form briefly for about two seconds before the plugin crashes. I followed instructions on the solution to update Adobe Flash and Mozilla, and they are both to the most recent version and it still crashes every time, no dent in the symptoms with the upgrades. I tried also downgrading to version 3, and it sill crashes. Although in some cases I can get around by saving the PDFs for reading them through Acrobat on my PC, it is a hassle as I do not want to save everything to my drive just to see what it is, plus sometimes forms are generated on a click and I cannot see these forms at all.
I had to migrate to Chrome as I needed the PDFs and could not wait any longer - any suggestions to make Mozilla work again would be appreciated.

Creating TOC Bookmarks in a PDF created from Microsoft Word

Does anyone know how to modify PDF creation settings so that bookmarks are automatically set from the Table of Contents in the PDF version of a Microsoft Word document? This is possible in Windows using word and Acrobat Pro. But it's not automatic in the OSX-resident PDF creator and I can't find any way to modify preferences. I'm using Word 2004 (11.3.5) for Mac. Pdf file created in Word 2008 will not open in Acrobat 8.2.6 or any other Adobe program

I have created a 12 page newsletter in Microsoft Word Publisher 2008 and have done so many times before with no problem. Today, I have tried to save it as a .pdf file both in Save As and through the printer. Each .pdf file created in Word will not open in Acrobat 8.2.6, Photoshop C3, Adobe Reader nor any other Adobe software.
When I go to open it in Acrobat, my Mac gives me the spinning rainbow. If I try to click on the file, I get a watch and then Acrobat crashes or I have to force quit the software. I really need to convert this file and get it to the printer. Any advice???

When tyring to open some PDFs Photoshop CS3 crashes

Photoshop CS3 has been crashing when trying to open some of the PDF files. This doesn't happen with all the PDFs, only some of the PDFs are crashing CS3. We are not able to open these PDFs(which are crashing CS3) in CS2 also. But surprisingly these PDFs can be opened in Photoshop 7. Any ideas?

Can't create PDFs from Acrobat or Word?

Downloaded the 8.1.4 update and now I can't create PDFs from Acrobat or Word. If I try to create a PDF from the print menu, I get a message indicating that there are no print drivers for this...any ideas?

Thanks for responding. Yep, I tried repairing it...no dice. Then I realized that I'd re-installed AA Pro 8 (having completely given up on the AA Pro 9 upgrade that crashed my system) but not the updates. So I went through and re-installed each update. Still no dice. Then I did another repair. Nope. When I try to create a PDF via the print menu, I get a "Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup." This tells me that I have driver problem. But everything else prints fine, and I'm pretty sure Acrobat doesn't have drivers. I'm stumped...

I love all the big improvements apple is making to their product lines. But I am a practical person who needs to open pdf. files and Microsoft Word files on the go. That is why I will still pick a Treo, Dash, and any other pda over the Iphone. When is apple going to make a real war against PDA's and produce these kinds of software? This would make the Iphone the ultimate phone.

Actually you CAN store them on your phone -- you need to download the free program FileMarkMaker (Its in versiontracker for mac, don't know if it is available for PC users)
It allows you to attach any PDF within a URL address and save it as a bookmark, and sync it to your iPhone. You can then read it anytime (you don't need an internet connection) by going to the name of the link you created for the file in Safari. Works perfectly -- I have everything from Maps of the subway stations for the cities I visit to manuals and documents on it.
Just one caveat -- you can't search or use other features from within that Safari page - it will just crash the safari application -- you need to change to a blank safari page before you can use google or other safari features.

How to save .pdf file using office word and excel

Can someone help me how to save .pdf files using office word and excel? I reinstalled my adobe 7.0 pro in my new pc and before I was able to do it but with my old pc.

For anything after Office 2003, you have to print to the Adobe PDF printer. If you installed AA 7 on OS newer than XP, you may have to do a workaround to get it to work. With later versions of WORD you can always use the MS plugin for creating PDFs.

Adobe reader 9 plugin crashes

Since the replacement of Adobe Reader 8 by Reader 9 the Adobe PDF plugin crashes the browser (Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 7) after loading the PDF an a new TAB. When I disable the plugin in Firefox, Firefox does not crash any more but the PDFs open in Adobe Reader outside the browser.
Windows XP SP3, Adobe Reader German version.
Any ideas ?

This is an update to my original message. Our Ahlta msi installer installs the older dll files into system32. When we removed the older dll versions from system32, on the next reboot the Ahlta msi checked for the older dll files- it didn't find them there of course, and prompted with a Ahlta reinstallation. So, instead what we're doing is leaving the older dll files in system32 folder for the Ahlta program, and instead have copied the newer adobe 5 dll files mentioned above to the C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer folder. If the registry value (SafeDllSearchMode) is set to 1, then programs will search their current folder before looking into system32.
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SafeDllSearchMode
If the above is set to 0, you can change it to one with reg.exe, or instead just create a .local file. For example an empty local file:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe.local
If C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe finds the .local file, it will check its own directory before checking system32, regardless of the SafeDllSearchMode value.

Problem with pdf creator

The built in pdf creator does not seem to be able to handle docs from Word that have both portrait and landscape pages. Does anyone else have this problem, is there a fix for this?

Java plugin crashes when creating a new sun.security.pkcs11.SunPKCS11 object

Hi,
I have created an applet which signs pdf files and works fine.
Applet is used in a website that needs client authentication with the same smart card wich is used to sign the documents.
The java plugin crashes at this line of code. The message showed - The java applet plugin has failed
sunpkcs11 = new sun.security.pkcs11.SunPKCS11(pkcs11);
I think it crashes because the pkcs11 module is still used, the light of the smart card reader is not blinking is a fixed light.
I haven't got an error log because the java plugin crashes. Only shows the log lines before that line of code.
Later the sunpkcs11 provider is added if the smarcard is unplugged and java plugin don't crashes.

If I unplug the smart card after client authentication and before sign a document, the java plugin don't crashes and later, the provider is added, and the document is signed and the light of the smart card reader is blinking before signing.

I have tested the same applet with firefox, in windows 7, windows 8, ubuntu 13.10 and fedora 19, and works and signs documents after client authentication.
when applet is loaded in windows is not using pkcs11. But I haven't got the same problem.
But in mac os x v10.8 and v10.9 java plugin crashes.
Is there a way to disconnect programatically the pkcs11 module or any other solution?
I'm not sure why the java plugin crashes. Has got any relationship with the bug 8026833?
Any suggestion?.

According to your post, my understanding is that you had Errors TF30162 and TF250025 when creating a New Team Project in TFS2012 with Sharepoint Site on Visual Studio.
The Errors TF30162 seemed that the reports for TFS could not be uploaded due a permission problem. The fix was really easy.
Go to your team foundation server
Open the administration console.
Click on Reporting
Click on Edit
Click on Reports Tab
Enter the credential for the Reports
Save
Click on Start Jobs
In addtion, the problem may be due to the caching done by Team Explorer in Visual Studio. Exiting the copy of VS on the client and reloading it will fix the problem as the updated team process settings will cached locally.
To resolve the Errors TF250025, you will need to register a new internal URL for the SharePoint site using Alternate Access Mappings.
