PDF files on 10.8 Server do not open correctly. White pages or crash when opening in acrobat

We use a lot of PDFs (blue prints) so this is a big prblem for us. Windows users (maybe just Win7) open PDF on server and after a few minutes the PDF turns white and the user has to quit acrobat and open again.Anyone else have this type of probelm?

I am with the Acrobat Support team and the issue you are expereincing has been identified as a Bug with Acrobat 11.
Ref Bug http://watsonexp.corp.adobe.com/#bug=35900443590044. This is being worked upon by Acrobat Engineering team.

I have created a 12 page newsletter in Microsoft Word Publisher 2008 and have done so many times before with no problem. Today, I have tried to save it as a .pdf file both in Save As and through the printer. Each .pdf file created in Word will not open in Acrobat 8.2.6, Photoshop C3, Adobe Reader nor any other Adobe software.
When I go to open it in Acrobat, my Mac gives me the spinning rainbow. If I try to click on the file, I get a watch and then Acrobat crashes or I have to force quit the software. I really need to convert this file and get it to the printer. Any advice???

I take the file, add a couple of watermarks and a footer for each page as well as a small image on the last page, add security on it and BAM, the file:

Adobe reader says pdf file is damaged or miscoded will not open?????? what do I do to open the file

pdf file will not open that was downloaded and email to a client from the IRS website with adobe readerX . It say "file cannot be open it is either !. not supported or file damaged or sent as an email attachment and was not correctly decoded. Please help!!!! I need to open this file? Mostly there is no repair possible, but just sometimes it is possible.
Open the file in Word. There will be lots of goggledegook.
Copy the first 5 lines, and paste into a reply here.
It MIGHT be that this will show us the form of damage.

I found at least a workaround: When I add the following line in the html code:
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
the content is displayed.
How was it in FF14? Was the content type derived from the file name extension?
So my question re-defines in: How can I change the default behaviour of Firefox if no meta-tag with the content-type is supplied?

Save PDF-file on the application server

I convert my Smartform to a PDF-File. I copied the code from Suresh Kumar Parvathaneni (REPORT zsuresh_test). At first, thank you Suresh Kumar for that!
Now, I would like to save the PDF-File on the application server and not local.
Could you tell me how to do this. Especially, where do I have to put the abap-code in the given code from Suresh Kumar.

Hi,
You can use the OPEN DATASET statment.
Probably you must be having an output table which you are downloading to the local machine.You can use the same and loop at it. and if the OPEN dataset returned sy-subrc 0, use the TRANSFER statment.
Remember the data will be binary for pdf. So you have to open the dataset in binary mode.

Open your Group Policies Management Console.
Go to Group Policy Objects
Rightclick->New
Give an Name eg. Adobe Settings
Rightclick on the new one->edit
Go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates - > rightclick -> add Templates
Browse to adobe.adm and open it.
Now you have
Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Adobe -> All Reader and Writer Versions
Go to the one(s) you need
Set "Browser Integration" to disabled or inactive.

Emdedding a pdf file generated on app server in a peoplesoft page

All,
I have a requirement to embed a pdf file on the app server in a peoplesoft page.
I am planning to do a push the file to the webserver using put attachment and then add a reference to the image in an html area on the page.
However, I need to position the pdf document when the page is displayed as the html area is smaller than the pdf document such that the middle part of the document is shown to the user. This is required so that the user does not have to sroll to that position.
Is there a way to do this ?

This is not a problem that can be addressed with LiveCycle Designer script. Designer or Acrobat script has context once the PDF is open, which does not help you. Perhaps a solution can be found in Windows Script Host. I have not touched WSH in a long time but I recall that is possible to do something like...

The Applications File Server could not open the file

Hi All,
We have shared appl_top between 2 nodes.
When running concurrent request such as active user report, i got the following error:
The Applications File Server could not open the file oXXXXX.out for read
I have found metalink note
The Applications File Server could not open the file o611681.out for read (Doc ID 1311372.1)
The $APPLCSF are all fine and so are the permissions.
I found out if i start my primary node first, wait till concurrent manager start, then start second node, it would be ok.
is this recommended practice?
i thought i can start up all node at the same time.
am i right to say that the last node run adautocfg is the primary node?

I have configured PDF Genrataor in LiveCycle 2.5. When I place a folder (which has doc file in it) in the IN folder..I expect the OUT to contain same folder (with pdf file in it), But it does not happen.

Why do we have to install 2 add ins for something that should be built in? Please add this to the next version or an update to this one even. We should see the full path of a bookmark when we search for it. Show Parent Folder alone isn't enough if you have sub folders, so I installed Go Parent Folder as well in case of sub folders.
