PDF Form interfaces for invoice

Hi experts,
I`m implementing company forms (e.g. invoices) in PDF Forms. But I have found, that there are 2 form interfaces predefined for invoices
IS_U_BILL_IF
and
IS_U_BILL_PDF2_IF
Why there are 2 interfaces for invoice? I cannot find any references of use cases, when to use first or second one.
Thank you
Vlado

As noted there has to be a special folder level script installed on each user's system. This script can be written to access individual properties of the identity object or only a specific property. One can also create a function to access the identity object or even create new properties.

  • PDF Form javascript for making readonly field by using button

    Please let me know the PDF Form JavaScript for making selected fields(Text field,Drop down list,..) as read-only by using Button.

    Do you want your button to be made read only?
    One starts with Acrobat JS Reference.
    // make all fields in a form read only;
    var oField; // variable for field being processed;
    // loop through the form fields;
    for (var i = 0; i < this.numFields; i++) {
    // process each field name;
    oField = this.getField(this.getNthFieldName(i)).readonly = true;

    Hey louiseg45826294,
    Thank you for posting on Adobe forums.
    Could you please let me know what Adobe Writer program you are talking about. Is it Adobe Acrobat or Reader?
    Could you please share the screenshot of the exact error message that appears.
    Are the PDF forms saved on your computer's local drive?
    Hope to hear from you.

  • How to make a pdf (form) accessible for reader in Adobe Acrobat x pro?

    Hi guys, i have bit of a problem here as i am new to the Acrobat pro X
    Using Acrobat pro 9 i always could save a LiveCycle pdf form with permission to fill and save as a reader user. now i have upgraded to cs6 and i have no clue how to do that anymore. The half of the options are gone and i can't access the older Acrobat pro anymore.
    Does anyone know how to save a pdf form using Acrobat X for adobe reader users giving permission to read and save my pdf files?

    For Acrobat X go to File-> Save as->Reader Extended PDF
    This will embed the reader extended rights in PDF.

  • How to get a PDF form message for a license?

    I am attempting to configure a SPF-transaction PDF form for /SAPSLL/LCLICE02 (Letter of Credit transaction).
    I have defined the Technical Medium for Messages (PPF) of Licenses and the Condition/Output Parameters for Communication of Licenses.  The Action Definition is set up as an External Communication with a PDF-based form and Object-Specific Variable Replacement.  I have tried various formats, including /sapsll/form_proc, with no success.
    When I switch to the communication tab in /sapsll/lclice02, the program crashes in the middle of printer determination with a move-cast error.  It is clearly reacting to the PDF as a CUHD data type when it needs an LCLIC type.  What configuration am I missing?  Where can I set this?

    For Acrobat X go to File-> Save as->Reader Extended PDF
    This will embed the reader extended rights in PDF.

    This means that you are using a browser that uses its own, incompatible PDF viewer, not the Adobe Reader plugin.  See http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html

  • Is ADS and PDF forms required for an upgrade to ECC 6.0 for US Payroll?

    We're currently on SAP 4.7 for US Payroll, but are working on an upgrade to ECC 6.0. I'm looking for a clear answer to whether or not we have to move to Adobe Document Services and PDF forms with our upgrade. I've heard from several sources that SAP is not providing updates to SAPscript forms in ECC 6.0 and will only make updates to PDF based tax reporter forms going forward. Can anyone comfirm that is the case?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Making a PDF Form secure for emailing

    I have created an enrollment form with LiveCyle.  The employer will send the application to a new employee for them to fill out and they would like it emailed back to them.  I tried the submit button but that doesn't work because while the information they input is received in a .xml file the electronic signature does not transfer which is required.  Can I set it up encrypted so that only the information that is input is encrypted?  I am VERY new to creating forms and using LiveCycle.  Thank you!

    The way I think you are trying it in Reader won't give you want you need. If you want to hide the data in the XML email submission (from email submit button), you need the newer capabilities in Designer 10.x to encrypt the submission. The XML contents will look like this after it is encrypted:

    In the Designer version you have (8.2), you only have the capability to sign the data or the entire form, which will not hide its values in the XML file that gets sent.

  • Forms Personlization for Invoice Workbench.

    Hello,
    I would like to get some help on personalizing AP invoice workbench. What I am tyring to do is to insert default value for 'TERM" field based on the invoice type. If the invoice type is 'Credit Memo' then the 'TERM' field should be defaulted to 'IMMEDIATE'.
    Is this possible to do?
    This is what I have so far and it is not working.
    Trigger Event: WHEN-NEW-RECORD-INSTANCE
    Tigger Object: INV_SUM_FOLDER
    Condition: ${item.inv_sum_folder.invoice_type.value} = 'Credit Memo'
    Processing Mode: Only in Enter-Query Mode
    Action: Property
    Object Type: Item
    Target Object: INV_SUM_FOLDER.TERMS_NAME
    Property Name: Value
    value: =SELECT 'IMMEDIATE' from fnd_lookups where Lookup_type = 'IBY_DOCUMENT_TYPES' and lookup_code ='CREDIT'
    Thanks,
    John

    You want this personalization to fire when someone is creating new records. Right?
    In that case, the processing mode should be other than "only in enter-query".
    Your personalization will check if the type = Credit memo when a new record is being instantiated. Most likely, that value will be blank and hence your condition won't be satisfied.
    You have 2 choices.
    1) You can write a when-validate-record personalization that will fire when a new record is being saved and the personalization will change the term to immediate.
    2) You can popup a message during when-validate-record if the type =Credit and term!= immediate. This is not exactly what you want but may be a workaround.
    Hope this helps

  • Acrobat Forms for invoicing  Help

    I'm attempting to use the forms feature for invoicing. is there a way I can prevent the people I'm sending the form to from editing anything inside the form fields?
    Thanks

    The easiest thing to do is set the fields as Read Only. You can do this from JavaScript or by editing the field properties.
    Also, if you just need to send them a non-interactive document, you can "flatten" the form either from JavaScript or simply by printing the form in Acrobat to create a new PDF file that no longer has form fields.

  • Allowing users to add additional lines in a PDF form?

    I'm using Adobe acrobat X Pro to create PDF forms to capture invoicing information. Yet I can't figure out how to allow a user to add additional charges. I could create a form that just had a large amount of charge lines that could be left blank but was hopeing to allow for a dynamically adjusting form where someone could click a button to just add a new line entry into the form and the form would adjust down and enter in a new set of line entries. Is it possible to do this in Acrobat X Pro?

    For the foorm to auto-adjust in response to adding a new line, you should look into what a dynamic XFA form that you create with LiveCycle Designer has to offer. LiveCycle Designer comes with Acrobat Pro as a separate application. More information is in the Designer help docs, in the LiveCycle Designer forum here, and in a number of tutorials at acrobatusers.com

  • Submitting PDF Forms

    I have a PDF form created for my service techs that has reader extended features. When the submit button is selected, I would like for the completed form to be attached to the email in a PDF image (non-editable). Currently it is received as an editable pdf. How can I do this?

    Gilad D (try67),
    Thanks for the reply. I was afraid of that. The main issue I'm having is because this is editable, when we're dragging and dropping it into a common PDF (we call it an invoice pack) with other service tickets (also editable) it's replicating the first editable ticket. Which means it's duplicating that first ticket, even if the second editable ticket being dragged over has a completely different file name than the first...

  • I need to make a pdf form that is fillable and send from ipad to email not tracked just the complete email. Can someone help me.

    I have forms that I have created with submit buttons, that are filled out and sent complete to an email box.  I would like to do the same only have my form filled out on an ipad and then have the submit button send the completed form the same way.
    I don't want to gather the data, since i am doing this for another department.  They want to track there own data via the Pdf's they receive.  Is this possible?

    majende,
    Adobe Reader for iOS does support a Submit button.
    (a) Button action to submit an entire PDF document via email
    (b) JavaScript submitForm to Adobe FormsCentral
    Do you use the desktop version of Adobe Acrobat to create a PDF form?
    For option (a)
    Add the "Submit a form" action to your Submit button.
    Enter "mailto:" (including a colon) followed by email recipient(s).  Please add a comma between two email addresses.
    Example: [email protected], [email protected]
    Select "PDF The complete document".
    This particular type of PDF form will work with Adobe Reader desktop and mobile products (including Adobe Reader for iOS and Android).
    In Adobe Reader for iOS, a user can do the following steps to submit the particular type of PDF form.
    Fill out the PDF form.
    Tap the Submit button in the PDF form.
    Select "Share Original Document" or "Share Flattened Copy" from the Share File dialog.
    Adobe Reader for iOS will automatically fill in the email address(es) that you specified when you created the PDF form.
    Tap the Send button in the upper right corner.
    Adobe Reader for iOS will send the PDF form as an email attachment via Apple Mail (the default mail app for iOS).
    Please let us know if you have additional questions.
