    Can you please confirm the version of xMII you are using? Also, can you tell me which version of the Sun JDK you are running on both the xMII server and the workstation you are working with the Logic Editor?

  • PDF Generation Error Message:Couldn't open File while generating PDF from a Frame (7.2 Version) book

    Hi,
    I'm trying to convert a book into PDF and I get the error message Couldn't open a file (... <filename>.fm) and the unavailable Fonts dialog box also appears. The tricky thing is I've converted the same book into PDF just a couple of days ago. Now when I tried to do it again, I get the above mentioned error message. I tried unselecting the File > Prefrences > General > Remember Missing Fonts checkbox too. However, it didn't help in generating the PDF. I will be thankful if anyone suggests a suitable workaround for this issue. Thanks in advance.

    Usually, deselecting Remember missing fonts works.
    The missing fonts message displays when you or FrameMaker opens the file. The workaround is to open all the files in the book, or at least those with the "missing" font, clearing the message for each file. Now print the book to PDF, while keeping the files open. This usually works because you have already cleared any missing fonts messages.

  • URGENT: PDF generation Error when executing .jat

    Hi Guys.
    Here is the thing. I have a sample code on a java class (see it below), with this I can perfectly create the PDF file when I run the project from netbeans 6.9 ... however, when I create the .jar file for the project and try to execute it, then I get an Error message saying that an exception has happened (this is not handled, despite the existing try-catch)... Could you please try it yourselve and/or help me out with this...

    The exact message I am getting says "An Exception has happened" and nothing else. I believe that if an exception happens, it should get caught within the try catch statemente in the code and then prompted to me on screen, but that is not what is happening. Please indicate me if there is another exception type I am missing to catch or other way to trace on this, as it only happens when I run the .jar file, running it through netbeans gui works ok... where could be the difference!?Likely a mismatch in library dependencies. Netbeans itself is also just Java, but it manages the classpath for you. When you run outside of Netbeans you're on your own.

  • "Content generation error. Failed to Export the PDF file"

    Building a multi-folio in InDesign 6 Folio Builder V30. Received "Content generation error. Failed to Export the PDF file" on several of the spreads. I have tried reducing the original pdf files sizes, but that did not help.
    Any suggestions on other possible causes or way to fix.?
    thanks

    I'm very new to DPS so I hope the following description makes some kind of sense.
    My magazine is in the process of doing trial runs for an iPad edition. I'm setting some templates up for us to work off so the process from magazine to iPad will run a lot smoother month to month.
    So far I've set up some dummy stock pages in an InDesign CS6 document, currently 15 pages long.
    All images are linked and all fonts have paragraph styles applied to them.
    I'm at the stage I want to check the document on my iPad to test run font sizes and their legibility.
    We have successfully been able to export the document as a jpg file but we really need the PDF format. When attempting this we get the above message.
    Sonia.

  • FM 12: How do I create a .ps file of a book? (errors prevent PDF generation)

    FM 12: How do I create a .ps file of a book? (errors prevent PDF generation)

    There's probably a graphic on one of your pages that is causing a postscript division error (i.e. divide by zero?) See also: PostScript error offending command div
    As Jeff suggests, track down the errant graphic to see what's wrong. If you print to file, you should get an idea of roughly where in the docs the error occurs by watching the print thermometer display.

  • Error while calling BAPI in BLS(Logic Editor)

    Hi all,
    I am using a RFC(BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE) in XMLL logic editor. I have configured in SAP JCO interface. While executing that transaction, it shows error like ACTION FAILED: End Action SAPJCOInterface_0 : (SAP JCO Interface).  But, when I try with other BAPI's its working fine. At the same time when I execute the RFC(BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE) in SAP logon its working fine. What could be the problem?
    Help in this regard, it's urgent.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Hemalatha

    Did you try to execute the BAPI from SAP in BAPI Explorer?  If you are not familiar with the behavior of a particular BAPI, that is a good place to do testing.  By using BAPI Explorer, you have bypassed any impact xMII may have on the execution of the BAPI.
    Once you have the parameters set correctly there and the BAPI executes without error, then try it in xMII.  A couple of other things to keep in mind.  SAP often adds leading zeroes to various ID's (material, production order, batch, etc.).  BAPI's often do not.  So make sure you know the configuration of the object and check to make sure you have leading zeroes where appropriate.
    Hope this helps,
    Mike
    Also make sure you check the Automatically Commit Transaction since you are performing an action upon SAP rather than simply retrieving information.

  • Error opening a transaction in Logic Editor

    Hi,
    Using 11.5 SR3.
    I have a transaction which some 20 sequences and 30 action blocks. I configured it as a listener. For some strange reason, I just cannot open the transaction in the Logic editor.
    Another issue, though not sure if its related to the same thing is that some of the transactions say 'executing' even though the last sequence in the transaction is executed (the last sequence is a file write and the file is already created) when running from the Logic Editor. I also feel that the performance of the transaction execution has gone down recently. Not sure if all these issues are related or each one is a separate issue.
    Any clues from the gurus?
    Ravi.

    Hi Ravi,
    Found a SAP Note on the transaction loading issue.
    Note: 960362
    Title: Large Transactions can crash server
    URL: [Click Here|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_xap/~form/handler]
    It mentions increasing the heap size as an option.

  • Generation error during WebDynpro migration from 7.0 to 7.31

    Hello everybody!
    We are trying to migrate some WebDynpro DCs to NW 7.31. After checking in the old sca file into the new track, synching the DCs in NWDS and creating projects for them, most of the DCs compile ok, but we get a build error in one WebDynpro DC we are not able to resolve.
    The build.log shows
        [wdgen] [Error]   Generation error while processing <somepath>/NWDSWorkplace_7_3.jdi/2/t/C5FB4D1181864A07E2DF8F1E8D280266/gen_wdp/packages/de/xxx/somepath/wdp/Resource<myview>.properties (java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException)

    So far, everything I could find is pointing to some localisation issue, but I'm not able to solve the problem. Some hints say I'd have to change the language settings of the DC (or SC) upon import, but I never saw anything that gave me an opportunity to do so. On the other hand, other WebDynpro DCs in the same track get imported o. k. and compile without any error.
    The other thing I see in this WebDynpro DC is that in some views, all GUI element texts are missing, some views are o. k.
    Can anyone shed some light on this issue ?
    Thanks
    Michael

    Ok, I can provide some more information:
    In the WebDynpro DC's .dcdef file, I changed
    <properties>
      <localization xmlns="http://xml.sap.com/2003/06/Localization" xmlns:ns0="http://xml.sap.com/2003/06/Localization">
       <domain>BC</domain>
       <originalLocale>en</originalLocale>
      </localization>
      <minimizeClassFiles xmlns="http://xml.sap.com/2004/07/DCProperties/WebDynpro" xmlns:pns1="http://xml.sap.com/2004/07/DCProperties/WebDynpro">auto</minimizeClassFiles>
      <projectVersion xmlns="http://xml.sap.com/2004/07/DCProperties/WebDynpro">1</projectVersion>
    </properties>
    to
    <properties>
      <localization xmlns="http://xml.sap.com/2003/06/Localization" xmlns:ns0="http://xml.sap.com/2003/06/Localization">
       <domain>BC</domain>
       <originalLocale>de</originalLocale>
      </localization>
      <minimizeClassFiles xmlns="http://xml.sap.com/2004/07/DCProperties/WebDynpro" xmlns:pns1="http://xml.sap.com/2004/07/DCProperties/WebDynpro">auto</minimizeClassFiles>
      <projectVersion xmlns="http://xml.sap.com/2004/07/DCProperties/WebDynpro">1</projectVersion>
    </properties>
    After that, the views with previously missing GUI texts were showing these texts inside the NWDS WebDynpro view editor, and those views that did previously show these text didn't show them any more! So there seems to be some discrepancy regarding the language the views were created in.
    Any hint on what files have to be changed in what way to either remove internationalization completely or to set all views to a single language ?
    Thanks
    Michael

  • Post installation error "Local logical system is not defined"

    Hello everyone,
    I freshly installed the latest SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial from scratch and like to configure ALE.
    I followed thew steps of http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/EN/data/pdf/CABFAALEQS/CABFAALEQS.pdf
    (ALE Quick Start) but cannot get through the following step on page 12:
    From the R/3 Implementation Guide screen in TA SALE
      choose Basis
        Application Link Enabling (ALE)
          Modeling and Implementing Business Processes
            Maintain Distribution Model and Distribute Views
    Clicking on Maintain Distribution Model or using TA BD87, I immedeately get the following error:
    The initialization of the logical system has failed.
    With TA BD64 the error: Local logical system is not defined arises. I also looked at
    /people/swaroopa.vishwanath/blog/2007/01/22/ale-configuration-for-pushing-idocs-from-sap-to-xi,
    /people/vikash.krishna/blog/2006/10/15/replicating-hr-master-data-part-1 and
    /people/kevin.wilson2/blog/2006/11/13/ale-scenario-development-guide describing the same actions
    to find an explanation, but without success
    I assume, the error does not occur because the trial version does not support it, but
    because of other post installation activities that must be done.
    I already created two logical systems and assigned them to newly created clients 100 and 200,
    but this did not have any impact on BD87 and BD64 as i was hoping.
    Does somebody know what to do here?
    Thanks in advance and kind regards,
    Andreas

    Hi Naveed,
    i made the following settings:
    SCC4: new entries created

    200     Receiving System
    SM59: new ABAP type 3 connections:
    RFC_DEST_LS_100
    RFC_DEST_LS_200
    - Tab Logon & Security Logon user: current user (bcuser client 001)
    Connection test is successful
    - Technical Settings: target host: localhost
    SALE: new logical systems created
    LS_100
    LS_200
    SCC4:
    double click on 100 Sending System   configured with logical system LS_100
    double click on 200 Receiving System configured with logical system LS_200
    kind regards
    Andreas
