How can i make the optimiser to skip this full table scan ??
Hi,
I am trying to tune the below query, I have checked up all the possibilities to skip the full table scan on vhd_calldesh_archive, But am unable to find the predicate in the where clause, which is letting the optimiser to choose the full table scan on vhd_calldesk_archive table, which is very large one. how can i make the optimiser to skip this full table scan.
Please check the below sql script and explain plan ,

Note: cpu costing is offI've tried to look thru your sql and changed it a bit. Of course not testet :-)
Your problem isn't the archive table! I tried to remove the 2 selects from the select-clause. Furthermore you have a lot of nested loops in your explain, which is a performance-killer. Try getting rid of them, perhaps use /*+ USE_HASH(?,?) */.

OWB mappings to skip rows that are in error and continue processing
OWB mappings to skip rows that are in error and continue processing.
1) Enter a record into an error log
2) Skip rows that are in error
3) and continue processing
Type of information could be needed in the error log:
SY_LOG_ERROR_KEY
ERROR_TIMESTAMP
MAP_NAME
SOURCE_RECORD
ERROR_CODE
ERROR_MESSAGE
ERROR_NOTES
Example:
If the source table has five records, in that 3 records has some error.
When I run the OWB mapping to load the source data to target table, OWB should skip the 3 record and load all the remaining record. This is our requirement.
Another think I want to store the error record details in a error log table.
Can u plz tell me whether it is possible in OWB. If not means please give some suggestion to do this.Hi,
thanks for ur help, As is OWB version is 10.2.0 so for set based it is not working. with your idea i create a POST PROCESSING MAPPING. it is now working fine.
Step 1:
Create a table MAP_ERROR_LOG.
Script:
CREATE TABLE MAP_ERROR_LOG
ERROR_SEQ NUMBER,
MAPPING_NAME VARCHAR2(32 BYTE),
TARGET_TABLE VARCHAR2(35 BYTE),
TARGET_COLUMN VARCHAR2(35 BYTE),
TARGET_VALUE VARCHAR2(100 BYTE),
PRIMARY_TABLE VARCHAR2(100 BYTE),
ERROR_ROWKEY NUMBER,
ERROR_CODE VARCHAR2(12 BYTE),
ERROR_MESSAGE VARCHAR2(2000 BYTE),
ERROR_TIMESTAMP DATE
TABLESPACE ODS_D1_AA
PCTUSED 0
PCTFREE 10

INITIAL 80K
MINEXTENTS 1
MAXEXTENTS 2147483645
PCTINCREASE 0
BUFFER_POOL DEFAULT
LOGGING
NOCOMPRESS
NOCACHE
NOPARALLEL
MONITORING;
Step 2:
Create a sequence MAP_ERROR_LOG_SEQ
CREATE SEQUENCE MAP_ERROR_LOG_SEQ START WITH 1 INCREMENT BY 1
Step 3:
Create a procedure PROC_MAP_ERROR_LOG through OWB.
In this i have used 3 cursor, first cursor is used to check the count of error messages for the corresponding table(WB_RT_ERROR_SOURCES).
The second cursor is used to get the oracle error and the primary key values.
The third cursor is used for get the ORACLE DBA errors such as "UNABLE TO EXTEND THE TABLESPACE" for this type errors.

How to delete a row of table in Word using powershell.
I want to search for a word which is present in Table. If that word is present than I want to delete that row from table.
Can anybody help me with that. The script I am using is:
$objWord = New-Object -ComObject word.application
$objWord.Visible = $True
$objDoc = $objWord.Documents.Open("C:\temp\Recipe.docx")
$FindText = "DP1"
$objSelection.Find.Execute($FindText)
$objWord.Table.Cells.EntireRow.Delete()
$objDoc.SaveAs("C:\Temp\P.docx")
$Doc.Close()Maybe try this:
$objWord = New-Object -ComObject word.application
$objWord.Visible = $True
$objWord.Documents.Open("C:\temp\Recipe.docx")
$FindText = "DP1"
$objWord.Selection.Find.Execute($FindText) | Out-Null

How do I deselect a row in table control on scrren?
Hello All:
How do I write the code to deselect a row in table control on a screen? This is in dialog programming.
Thanks.
MithunI thought that the descriptions given in the Help are clear.
The ADDRESS function constructs a cell address string from separate row, column, and table identifiers.
ADDRESS(row, column, [type], [style], [table])
row: The row number of the address.
column: The column number of the address.
I dropped the comments about type, style and table as I don't use them here.
=IF(ISBLANK(INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW(),1))),"",INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW(),2))*INDIRECT(A DDRESS(ROW(),3)))
INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW(),1))
returns the contents of the cell whose row is the same than the one containing the formula \[the row number is given by ROW()] and whose column is the 1st one)
INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW(),2))
returns the contents of the cell whose row is the same than the one containing the formula \[the row number is given by ROW()] and whose column is the 2nd one)
INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW(),3))
returns the contents of the cell whose row is the same than the one containing the formula \[the row number is given by ROW()] and whose column is the 3rd one)
In short, when the formula is applied in row 9 it behaves like:
=IF(ISBLANK(A9),"",B9*C9)
The long syntax is required to be able to enter it only once in the header cell as described in the Help and in the PDF User Guide in a chapter entitled "Applying a Formula Once to Cells in a Column or Row".
As we want to use such a formula, it would be odd to destroy its ability using a different formula in a standard bottom row.
More, in a footer row, we may use shorter formulas than in other rows.
In a standard row 10 we would have to write =SUM(D2:D9)
in a footer row we enter only =SUM(D) which add the contents of every standard cells of the column D.
This feature is also described in the named resources.

Applescript on Numbers to copy rows between tables
Hi,
I am an applescript newbie, but am trying to make my book-keeping spreadsheet a bit more comfortable. And this is the problem:
I have expenses that repeat every month and I would like to not have to rewrite them each time. So I thought I make a second table where I list all the repeating data and copy them into my main table. This works simply with selecting the row and then copy and paste in to the row of the main table.
But I would like to make it nicer, and my concept is to make this copy process simpler, by memorizing the row number of the second table, (e.g. row 5 contains the rental costs for my studio ), so I would select the last row and then type the number of the expected row in table 2 and have the content be automatically copied into the selected row of table 1 (main table).
I got the script to do so except the shortcuts for the keys. And I have no idea how to make the script understand that if I press the key for number "5" to start copying row 5 of table 2 into the last row of table 1. Here is my script as far as I got (it is far from finished I know, it is a test with 4 columns named "Art des Umsatzes", "Kategorie", "Projekt", "Betrag".
If anyone could give me advice ho to define that the keystrokes become variable b and d, I think I would be able to manage the rest.
Many thanks
Hans Peter

thanks for your prompt and very helpful response. Although I had to add some more, your suggestion paved the way. Your simpler suggestion with the reference does not really work (sorry.)
This is the solution. what you need to do is make 2 table. The first on has one row (title row) and 5 columns (first is title again). The second has 6 rows (one title) and 5 columns (first one title). then you fill in each of the cells a word or number.
Run the script and choose one of the 5 numbers, one row will be added and filled. That's what I hoped to get, only I cannot type, I have to click the number. That is a bit a shame, do you think Automator could make a bridge to connect the script number to the keys?
Well, anyhow. Thanks again for your great help.
All the best, Hans Peter

Can we find the number of rows in table from the dump file with out importing the table in to the database?
Please let me know ,if any option is there.
Thanks,

Snap all rows in table/document
I've been working through the book "Scripting InDesign with JavaScript." The script is originally for snapping columns, but I'm trying to snap all the rows in tables so I've changed the references to "rows." I've worked through to this point, but it still snaps only the row where the cursor is located. I'm not sure what I need to alter in order for it to snap every row.
//from Scripting InDesign with JavaScript
var myStories = app.activeDocument.stories
for( var i = 0; i < myStories.length; i++ )
for( var j = 0; j < myStories[i].tables.length; j++ )
for( var k = 0; k < myStories[i].tables[j].rows.length; k++ )
snapRow( myStories[i].tables[j].rows[k] )
function snapRow( myRow )
// get the size of em space
var em = myRow.cells[0].insertionPoints[0].pointSize;
myRow.height = '2p3';
// get horizontal offset of last insertion point in each cell
var myRightPosArray = myRow.cells.everyItem(
).insertionPoints[-1].horizontalOffset
// find the biggest value
var longest = maxArray( myRightPosArray )
// get position of left side of Row
var myLeftPos = myRow.cells[0].insertionPoints[0].horizontalOffset
// set Row height
myRow.height = (( longest - myLeftPos ) + em )
function getRow()
var mySel = app.selection[0];
if( mySel.parent.constructor.name == 'Cell' )
return mySel.parent.parentRow
else if( mySel.constructor.name == 'Cell' )
return mySel.parentRow;
alert( 'Cursor not in a table\ror illegal selection' );
exit();
function maxArray( myArray )
var temp = 0
for( var i in myArray )
temp = Math.max( temp, myArray[i] )
return tempHi,
Exam a function snapRow() ==> snapColumn() in original, probably.
It is a horizontalOffset property used to find a widest cell in column.
This is useless if the goal is to snap row's height.
There is .autoGrow property useful for rows.
You could combine this with maximumHeight & minimumHeight (or not)
So simplest way :
snapRow(myRow) {
myRow.autoGrow = true;
getRow() function is useless too

How to create pdf to be prepopulated from SQL Table
I am having trouble generating a PDF that will add rows depending on the amount of records in my SQL Table. For example i am trying to generate a billing report on a monthly cycle. The data which i have in the table is for a certain client with a date range from 01/01/2010 - 01/31/2010. I need the table to gennerate rows for 15 different days and all i seem to get is the last record. Here is my Coldfusion Code
<cfquery name="qBilling" datasource="PrintBilling">
SELECT *
From BillingRecord
</cfquery>
<cfoutput>
<cfpdfform action="populate" source="billing.PDF">
<cfpdfsubform name="Table1">
<cfpdfsubform name="Row1">
<cfloop query="qBilling">
<cfpdfformparam name="Batch" value="#qBilling.batch#" index="1">
<cfpdfformparam name="Batch" value="#qBilling.batch#" index="2">
<cfpdfformparam name="Date" value="#DateFormat(qBilling.date,"mm/dd/yy")#">
<cfpdfformparam name="DateRange1" value="#DateFormat(Now(),"mm/dd/yy")#">
<cfpdfformparam name="DateRange2" value="#DateFormat(Now(),"mm/dd/yy")#">
<cfpdfformparam name="Documents" value="33333">
<cfpdfformparam name="PBcount" value="1252">
<cfpdfformparam name="PBpostage" value="999">
<cfpdfformparam name="Paper" value="5555">
<cfpdfformparam name="Price" value="1900">
<cfpdfformparam name="Rate" value="3.42">
<cfpdfformparam name="Type" value="SASAS-SS">
</cfloop>
</cfpdfsubform>
</cfpdfsubform>
</cfpdfform>
</cfoutput>
The PDF itself is saved as a Static Form only because thats what ive seen as the common problem.
Any help at all would be VERY much appreciated.I would make two summary tables that refers to the main table (the one you are currently sorting) :
1) the first summarizes by color
2) the second by model.
It would be quicker if you can poast a screenshot of the data table and charts you are making so that any examples are well suited to your specific case. -

How to delete the row in table control with respect to one field in module pool programming?
Hi,
Can I know the way to delete the row in table control with respect to one field in module pool programming
Regards
Darshan MSHI,
I want to delete the row after the display of table control. I have created push button as delete row. If I click on this push button, the selected row should get deleted.
I have written this code,
module USER_COMMAND_9000 input.
DATA OK_CODE TYPE SY-UCOMM.
OK_CODE = SY-UCOMM.
CASE OK_CODE.
WHEN 'DELETE'.
LOOP AT lt_source INTO ls_source WHERE mark = 'X'.
APPEND LS_SOURCE TO LT_RESTORE.
DELETE TABLE LT_SOURCE FROM LS_SOURCE.
SOURCE-LINES = SOURCE-LINES - 1.
ENDLOOP.
But I'm unable to delete the selected rows, It is getting deleted the last rows eventhough I select the other row.
So I thought of doing with respect to the field. -
Merge two rows & show in a single row in table results
Hi, I need to merge 2 rows having 3 columns in a single row in table view
The cols are currently shown as :
Project NO-------(Current_Month) Revenue----------(Prior_Month) Revenue
123123 10000

Revenue is a single column with revenue for diffreent Period.
10000 is for May

Project NO for both are same, just the periods are different. if I am not displaying Period i need to merge the 2 rows & show as
Project NO-------(Current_Month) Revenue----------(Prior_Month) Revenue
123123 10000 20000
Please let me know how we can acheive this??
thanx
Pankaj123123 is the project number..

PDF file Not opening in Main Table
Hi,
I have added PDF lookup field in my main Table in console.
I m able to import PDF file in PDF table ( after making Allow Invalid PDFs as YES)
I have also imported PDF file in Main table field.
But here PDF file is not opening.
I m able to open PDF file only in PDF table & not in main table.
Also i am not able to Generate Thumbnail.
I m getting error:
Regenerating thumbnail for 'Mahi.pdf'...failed.
Regeneration of thumbnails complete.
Can anybody tell me what could be the problem?
Thanks,
MahiHi Maheshwari,
I have added PDF lookup field in my main Table in console.
I m able to import PDF file in PDF table ( after making Allow Invalid PDFs as YES)
I have also imported PDF file in Main table field.
But here PDF file is not opening.
You can link the pdf to the Main tabel record by two ways:
1. Using Import Manager
2. Using Data Manager itself.
I have just tried it by the second way and I am able to open the Pdf in the Main Table itself.
PLease follow these step below:
1. Import the Pdf in the Pdf table and store the Pdf in the repository itself by choosing the Option - +Store in Repository+
2.Go to Main Table and double click on the Look up field on the right side. GO to the Data Group Tab and add the Data Group you have created.
3. Then choose the pdf you want to choose for that particular main table record. You will find the PDf getting attached in the Main Table Record.
4. Now try and open the Pdf, HopefullyYou will find it opening in the Main Table itself .
Hope it helps.
Thanks and Regards

For-each skip rows based on test null condition
I thought this would be simple, but I can't seem to find a satisfactory answer in the XML Publisher manuals. For various reasons, I have a pre formatted Oracle Report in EBS which doesn't group the XML tags as I want them. I have some groupings with tags of NULL data. I simply want to test for a NULL tag and just skip the ROW completely. I don't want to test each individual row on the line of about 10 tags.
Here is an example, I just want to skip rows with blank XML data.

How do I do this?I found the answer on page 2-63 of the manual, however you need to make sure a test like this <if:LINE_QTY_INVOICE>0> is not used as it caused on error. Rather use this test <if:LINE_QTY_INVOICE!=''>

Helpful inputs will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Are you sure that you have selected multiple line for tablecontrol in the property window of the tablecontrol.
Flowlogic.
LOOP WITH CONTROL TC_01.

ENDLOOP.
Module Pool
Module Get_Marked.
read the data from the internal table where mark = 'X'.
this should give you only selected records.
Endmodule.
Kindly check the tablecontrol property.
