PDK for Java download

I am not able to find PDK for Java to download from downloads section.
Can anyone help me out with the link?

Hi
You can use the property files. I mean, you can put your text file at KM location. Inside the text file you can write the URL. Now by using the webdynpro pdk application, you can read the file data & call that url in a new portal window.
This way, you only require to change the url in the text file everytime n not in the code.
This will be done using Form Submit method.

Reading files from KM using PDK for Java

Hi Experts,
I am developing an application in PDK for Java.This application will read the latest files in the KM folder.
There are 100s of files in 100 of folders in KM. So I want to display the latest files that are from the KM folder. For eg., need to display the last 6 files that are created.
Please let me know,how to do this, because, if we search in all the files,then it will take some time, so I want to reduce this time.
How can be this done.

your Km folder can be sorted based on the 'Creation date' in descendgin order.
Then you will get all the latest documents in the top of your folder.
You can do this in the Collectione renderer of your layoutset used.
There in the sorting mode you can give cm_created

PDK for java

Hi All,
I am new user for developing the portal PDK aplication,so i was creating one Enterpise perspective.after creating the project it showing the structure.under this structurethe path of packages started with "ECLIPS_HOME. ..............sai.jar . but my coworkrer sended the same project.but in his package started with sai.jar .so how can identify .can provide u any sample PDK application screen shots.if ur creating any one project under Ep perspective how many default pakages are created what is the left side structure in NWDS.

Error downloading XML schema processor for java from OTN

I'm getting error downloading this product from otn site. http://technet.oracle.com/tech/xml/schema_java/index.htm
I login to OTN, go to this site, enter registration information and then I get the following error when I try to submit my info.
Runtime error occured. Do you wish to debug?
Line: 20
Error :'e_mail_valid' is undefined.
When I say 'No' for debug, it takes me to 'XML parser for java' download page instead of 'XML Schema processor'.

The 'e_mail_valid' is undefined" has to do with the format of or lack of the email address. The routing problem is ours and should be fixed later today or by tomorrow morning.

This revision solves issues in the dropdown listbox, grid and table control. Also an issue with FileDownload is fixed. For more information, please refer to the release notes.

this is kumar writing in regards with the sap gui for java 7.00 rev 4.....i found ur link very helpful ....thanks for the link...and i have a problem in creating a new connectioin ....i have gone thru some of the forum replies and pdf's ....but i could not set up the new connection ....
can u plz help me in creating a new connection .....
the rev4.jar file was successfully installed.....
and whats are the next steps .....

Java WebDynpro's and IE security settings for file download

We have a EP 7.0 SP13 environment on which we have deployed a number of own developed java webdynpro's. In some of these webdynpro's we provide the file download functionality. The portal and webdynpro's are used by both internal personnel and external customers.
On the other hand the default Internet security settings for Internet Explorer, disable "Automatic prompting for file downloads".
When a user, with these default security settings active, tries to use our webdynpro's file download functionality, the screen seems to refreshes but no file download starts. When (s)he retries, the session runs for some minutes and gives following error message:
"com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.session.LockException: Thread SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_20 failed to acquire exclusive lock on client session ClientSession".
This behavior is explained in SAPNote 1234847. Webdynpro provides a single-thread module, meaning a user session is blocked for the during of the request. And because the previous file download isn't yet completed the new try can't start.
Issue now, although the users IE settings allow file downloads and don't block pop up's, he can't download the file and even isn't made aware of the cause of the failure.
How can we avoid this issue, without having to communicate the
application requires specific browser settings?

You can install the program using different ways:
1. Right-click the application installer and choose Open.

SAP GUI for Java 7.00 rev 4 - bug in ABAP download

When I try to download ABAP source code or when I use "Edit Locally" in SE38 (the easiest way how to write/edit programs with a comfortable editor), ABAP source is downloaded to my computer with trailing 0x00 bytes. It has small side-effect in Local Editing: new code with this block is uploaded into SAP and syntax check of such program fails.
Using 7.00 rev 3 works fine.
Has anybody idea how to eliminate this bug?
Wishlist, but to another forum: It will be really nice to assign hot-key to this menu item in SE38.

thanks for bringing this to our attention.
This is a bug in SAP GUI for Java 7.00 rev 4 and we will fix this in the next revision.
Regarding the hot-key for the "Edit Locally" menu item, I suggest to give this feedback officially using <a href="http://service.sap.com/message">message wizard</a> on component BC-DWB-TOO.

Where can I download labs of v3.6 for java?

There's some labs and solutions should be reference.
Where can I download it?
2. Chapter 4 in the guide, there's coherence-pof- config.xml file to use.
Do I need remake jar file, after using command jar -xvf coherence.jar coherence-pof-config.xml?
my env is Jdev11.1.1.3, Coh 3.6 for java, win2k3.
3. Is there have step by step guide for v3.6, can I reference?
4. Is there have best practice of v3.6, can I reference?

2. The example in chapter 4 ask you to save your own POF configuration file into a different file, e.g. contacts-pof-config.xml. You tell coherence to use this POF configuration file in the cache configuration file as shown in example 4-6 through the <serializer> element:

Apple download for JAVA still won't download JAVA web site material.

Since downloading Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.3 (12D78) I cannot get anything to download that requires Java like "Wolfgang's Music Vault". I know Apple doesn't support JAVA anymore with Mountain Lion but as recommended I have downloaded the so called Apple for Java 7 update 25 download about 50 times to enable it to do so. The download still don't happen for Java. JAVA never shows up as an application, though it shows it did download. HELP

There are a few things you might want to check.
First of all, did you go to your downloads folder and double click on the installer to install the update? You mentioned that you downloaded it but never stated whether you installed it.
You may also want to check your Safari browser to make sure Java is enabled (Safari>Preferences>Security).

Problem with downloading xdk for java - suggestions?

I am having problems downloading the xdk for java. Could someone please direct me to an alternate site for download?

Java version 7 update 9 update was installed, Computer Mac version 10.7.5 will not recognise the download. Please advise . Is there another link for a download that will work.

I downloaded the Java update version 7 update 9 as advised by computer - but the computer does not recognize the download - as instructed I pressed Command R and also tried Command Q
I downloaded the update twice - still the computer does not recognise the download.
In my serarch on the web there seems to be issues in this download.
I think there is an new patch , Not sure where to find this that is relevant to my computer.
Be grateful if someone could send me a link and instructions on the relevant choice for my computer.
Also Do I need to uninstall old Java downloads. if yes Please advisee how I should do this.

I have downloaded the latest Java (JRE) and Java is checked enabled as well as JavaScipt and Web plug-ins are enabled.
I thought I would download once again from your link - MacOSX jre7u6 Macosx-x64 dmg.
On opening the package to install was advised that a higher version of the JRE is already installed on the system.
Still unable to open my Labs software as the advice is still to download the latest Java.
Checking the net again found another Java option for Mac Lion - so I downloaded and installed the version OS X2012 -006.
Still no joy, as my photo Lab software keeps givng me the same message that i to open " RGB Digital Direct" I need to download the Java Runtime Environment for Web Start Application.
I then went back into Java Website and it gave an option to detect whether I have the correct Java Software - report came back - Verified Java Version - " Congratulations You have the recommended Java installed ( Version 7 Update 9)"
