Pening Normal on all requests except PA requests

Hi All,
I have been facing this strange issue of all concurrent requests staying in Pending/Normal status and not getting processed. But even more strangley Project Accounting module's requests are running perfectly fine All requests runnin gunder Standard Manager only). But if we try to tun any AR/GL/AP requests, they remain in pending/normal status only.
II have checekd the concurrent manager and all the managers are up and running with actual value same as target. Any help in resolving this issue is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Bhavesh

Please run "Analyze Pending Requests Script", this script is used for diagnosing pending concurrent requests.

  • Weblogic server 10.0.1 stop all request when memory drop and grow again

We are running weblogic server 10.0.1 on window server 2003 with a custom applicaiton . our heap size is set to 1024MB min and max. Usually it is running normally, but at some ocassion, we find the webogic process memory drop to 80K and then grow gradually( from the task window). During this period, the server stops all requests until the process memory reach about 1000MB as we look at the server console. It starts process again and accept requests. After the requests are cleared, the server resume normal. Is it a full GC or window sever memory allocation when its memory is low? I cannot figure out this issue.
Much appreciated if there is any advices.

First of all, when you go to monitor tab you see all the threads from self tuning thread pool. This includes all the threads in the server, not only the ones allocated to your workmanager.
This is how i think its working...
    1) All your threads are hung..you have 300 hogging threads , that reaches your max thread constraints on your work manager.. weblogic is not going to allow any more requests from that work set to take up threads.. and capacity is both executing and queued requests..you got 150 pending requests and 300 hogging.. so a total of 450, your capacity.
    2) Its not 631 threads, its 631 requests, weblogic must be reporting all the threads in the queue at the time you monitored it.
    3) The reason for one cluster to go down would be that those servers in that cluster were waiting for some resource. As you have different applications in the two clusters...there must be some resource that cluster1 uses which was not available. you can see what those threads were doing by getting thread dumps when this happens.

  • IPlanet sending ALL requests to WebSphere 5.1

Static html that exists at iPlanet's docroot cannot be served. All requests, whether servlet, jsp, or html appear to be passed on to WebSphere. Even NameTrans directives in the obj.conf are ignored. We are migrating from WAS 3.5.6. Below is the modified section of the obj.conf with the modifications highlighted:
    <Object name="default">
    NameTrans fn="strip-params"
    NameTrans fn="pfx2dir" from="/manual" dir="/usr1/WWW_Enterprise/manual/https" name="es-internal"
    NameTrans from="/IBMWebAS" fn="pfx2dir" dir="/proj/WebSphere/AppServer/web"
    NameTrans fn="pfx2dir" from="/ns-icons" dir="/usr1/WWW_Enterprise/ns-icons" name="es-internal" name="es-internal"

    PathCheck fn="unix-uri-clean"
    PathCheck fn="check-acl" acl="default"
    PathCheck fn="find-pathinfo"
    PathCheck fn="find-index" index-names="index.html,home.html"
    ObjectType fn="type-by-extension"
    ObjectType fn="force-type" type="text/plain"
    Service fn="as_handler"
    #Service fn="service_exit"
    Service method="(GET|HEAD)" type="magnus-internal/imagemap" fn="imagemap"
    Service method="(GET|HEAD)" type="magnus-internal/directory" fn="index-common"
    Service method="(GET|HEAD)" type="*~magnus-internal/*" fn="send-file"
    AddLog fn="flex-log" name="access"
    </Object>
And here is the portion of the magnus.conf that changed:
    Init fn="load-modules" funcs="as_init,as_handler,as_term" shlib="/proj/WebSphere/AppServer/bin/libns41_http.so"
    Init fn="as_init" bootstrap.properties="/proj/WebSphere/AppServer/config/cells/plugin-cfg.xml"
The applications that we are converting have a context-root of "/", which I fear may be part of the problem. I believe that may be why all the requests are handled by WebSphere. Unfortunately I do not know how this can be changed without massive modifications on our clients' end. For example, clients normally access our app using /ABC.cgi which really maps to a servlet. Having them change their pages to access /myWebApp/ABC.cgi instead would not go over well.

I'm not familiar with WebSphere plugin configuration, but you can configure Web Server to control which requests are passed to the plugin. In your current obj.conf file, the Service fn="as_handler" directive appears before all other Service directives, so the WebSphere plugin can choose to service any request. It appears that it's choosing to service all of them.
Instead, you could modify your obj.conf file so that Service fn="as_handler "is invoked only for certain requests. For example, you could remove Service fn="as_handler" from the default object and move it to a new object named "was":<Object name="WAS">
    Service fn="as_handler"
</Object>Then, in the object named "default", you could choose which requests should be treated as WAS requests:<Object name="default">
    NameTrans fn="assign-name" from="*.jsp" assign-name="WAS"
</Object>Again, I'm not familiar with WebSphere plugin configuration, so it may be possible to do the same sort of thing through the WebSphere plugin-cfg.xml.
(Since you're migrating from one application server version to another, I should point out that Web Server has a fully functional Servlet container built in. You could run all your Servlets in Web Server itself.)

  • Delta Init DTP DSO- Cube loads all requests

    Hi,
i've loaded several Full Request to a DSO (Datasource 2LIS_02_ITM).
I had to to fragment it to 3 months per Full load because otherwise the data volume was too much for the rollback segment.
Now i want to load these requests from the DSO to a Cube.
I created a Delta DTP and selected the "All new data by request" option.
The DTP starts as a Delta Init but selects all open requests at once and crashes with a "ORA-01555: snapshot too old..." error.
As a workaround i created several Full DTPs that only load part of the data but i really want to understand why the Delta Init doesn't work as expected and documented (to load request by request in a new process).
    thanks
    Carsten

    That's the option i've selected.
When monitoring the DTP-Request i see in the head data that all requests from the DSO are selected at once.

  • Table or view with the request status of all requests in a cube

    Dear all,
I search the table or view which is used by Cube / Manage -> InfoProvider Administration (Requests).
Target is to get all status information of all requests started by one InfoPackage.
I found several tables alone but no view. I have currently
    RSREQICODS, RSMDATASTATE, RSSELDONE.
    Best regards.

I've found a solution for the problem:
    *    Select all requests for one Infopackage
SELECT distinct RNR from rsseldone into table ta_done where LOGDPID = IPak.
          LOOP AT ta_done
            INTO wa_done.
            WRITE: / 'Request: ', wa_done-RNR.
    *       Select the maximum Request Number in the Cube
SELECT SINGLE ICUBE RNSIDLAST from RSICCONT Into wa_cont where RNR = wa_done-RNR.
            WRITE: / 'Icube: ', wa_cont-ICUBE.
            WRITE: / 'Max: ', wa_cont-RNSIDLAST.
    *       Check the Maximum Request with status technical and quality ok
SELECT TECHOK QUALOK from RSMDATASTATE into table ta_state where INFOCUBE = wa_cont-ICUBE.
            LOOP AT ta_state INTO wa_state.
                WRITE: / 'ID TECHOK: ', wa_state-TECHOK.
                WRITE: / 'ID QUALOK: ', wa_state-QUALOK.
                IF wa_state-TECHOK > l_maxid AND wa_state-QUALOK > l_maxokid AND wa_state-QUALOK = wa_state-TECHOK.
                   l_maxokid = wa_state-TECHOK.
                ENDIF.
            ENDLOOP.
            IF wa_cont-RNSIDLAST > l_maxokid OR wa_cont-RNSIDLAST = 0.
WRITE: / 'Request is running with Request: ', wa_cont-RNSIDLAST.
            ELSE.
              WRITE: / 'all Green'.
              l_cont = 0.
            ENDIF.
         ENDLOOP.

  • Table from which all requests details report can be extracted

    Hi to all
I would like to know from which table we can have a look on all request details which are in quality but not in production
i want move prd data to quality if i does this all request are getting vanish in quality
    Regards

    Hi,
I guess you mean transport request. I don't think that such table exists. If you're on quality and you're able to see requests that were imported in production then most probably these data are read with some FM from production system.
Normaly you can see transport requests in tables E070, E071 and so on, but these refer to current system, not a remote one.

  • STMS: how to hide the Import All Requests button in the import queue view?

    Hi All,
I'd like to know how to hide the "Import all requests" button in the import queue view.
Thanks a lot for your answers.
    G.

    Hi,
about hiding i have a doubt but u can inactivate by following procedure,
    As referred in a thread:
On the domain controller, in STMS>overview>systems>(double click the one you want to change)>Select Transport Tool tab and click on change. Add Import_single_only value 1, import_single_strategy value 1 and no_import_all value 1. Save distribute and activate.
    or
    Refer to OSS NOTE 194000.
    Thanks & regards.

  • Check infocube and verify that all request in there are reportable

    hi all,
How can i verify that infocube that request are available in for reporting,,Is there any SAP or Z program/FM to find the solution.

    hi Sajoy,
IF you go to the manage of cube, you will find an available for reporting sign in the infocube - whichever request has this is available for reporting.
    Tables:
RSMDATASTATE SIDs are the same as the request no that you see (in request tab in 'manage'). Request IDs in the target can be checked in RSICCONT table.
The value in RSMDATASTATE tells the max value for which QM is ok, or, tech status is ok (as I understand it). This with RSICCONT table should tell us which all requests are there in the cube (that are available for reporting).
    Hope this helps!

  • CSS11501 direct all requests to one server?

    Hi,
We have a CSS 11501 with 2 webservers behind it. The people from serveradmin want one webserver to be used for all requests, and only use the second one when the first one gets too busy (let's say > 80 %)
So in a very busy scenario, both webservers would be used
I've looked into Primary sorry server but believe that's only to be used when the first webserver dies, so this does not apply.
I also thought about using different weights for the services, but even when you give webserver 1 a weight of 10, and webserver 2 a weight of 1, there will still be requests forwarded - albeit very few - to webserver 2, right?
Anyone encountered this before? Any help greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Radboud

firs you have to define what is 80%
The CSS has now knowledge of the capacity of the servers.
    I see 2 options to define 80%.
First you know that your box can handle 100 connections.
So you can define 80% to be 80 connections.
You could then configure maxconn to 80.
The primarysorryserver will kick in once maxconns has been reached for all other servers.
Another solution is a script on the server itself that measure the load and update a file with a value ON or OFF.
When reaching 80% of maxload, simple rewrite the file with the vaule off.
On the CSS create a keepalive to read this file and disable the service if the value is off.
When disabled, the primarysorryserver will kick in.
    Regards,
    Gilles.

Approximately 6% of all requests for help on this forum are ever "solved." And approximately 34% of all requests for help on this forum are never responded to. Even with all the caveats, these numbers are embarrassing. Good luck everyone!

More facts and stats from the horse's mouth - http://www.mozilla.org/foundation/annualreport/2009/sustainability.html
"Total assets as of December 31, 2009 were $143 million compared with $116 million at the end of 2008, an increase of 23 percent. Unrestricted net assets at the end of 2009 were $120 million compared with $94 million in 2008, a 28 percent increase."
"Mozilla consolidated expenses for 2009 were $61 million, up approximately 26 percent from 2008 expenses of $49 million. Mozilla operating expenses in 2009 continued to remain highly focused on people and infrastructure."
"At the end of 2009, Mozilla was funding approximately 250 people working around the world."
Yes, Mozilla is indeed doing very well but they're a bit worried about the IRS audit that is currently going on.
Now, if we take the figure from the 2008 cnet article that 80% of expenses are spent on Mozilla employees as a relatively stable benchmark for 2009, we see that employee salaries averaged out to around $200,000 dollars annually for each employee, which obviously isn't what each employee is actually getting paid, but what it does mean is that given typical corporate scaling of salaries, some folks in this non-profit are making lots and lots of money.
The individuals who should be the most upset about Mozilla's unwillingness to invest even a fraction of its profits into building a real and responsive user support system are the collective-community-driven-volunteers who commit their free time so Mozilla can continue to cash in big time at their expense. A brilliant model!
Again, Firefox users appreciate the work that you and the other unpaid/unacknowledged volunteers do here.... Mozilla appreciates it more.
