Performance Assistance is not working

Hi
One of the user's PC the performance assistance and F1 help was not displayed with his sap user id but at the same time it was displayed on the same PC with another sap user id.
Is there any user specific settings in SAP system to display the Help???
I tried with the users sap id on differnt PC there also same thing was happening.

I created the test user id in my quality system with the same authorizations. In quality it is working fine. It is not working in live system.

    Are you using Mac OS?  If so please try removing the Adobe Download Assistant from your Applications folder and try again.  This issue is documented in the Known Issues section of Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html.

  • HT204350 Migration Assistant is NOT working

    Migration Assistant is NOT working - Have tried from from a hard disk and using the Thunderbolt cable.  Keeps Looking for Source.
    Any ideas?  I really want to more on to my new Mac.

    That the Migration Assistant doesn't work is a KNOWN ISSUE.  Last week I got a new iMac and the old and new couldn't find one another.  I called tech support 3 times and spent I don't know how long on the phone.  They finally suggested I take them both to an Apple store, which I did today.  The Genius knew all about it - said it's a known issue.  To "resolve" it he started the old iMac in "disk mode" and then the new one could see it, but that wasn't an adequate fix: After spending over an hour moving the files, they wouldn't have been in their proper folders.  I would have had to manually file 6 years worth of pics and files!  NFW - I returned the new computer and will make do with my old one until Apple gets this right.

    First of all, uninstall your current version of HP Support Assistant by using the Microsoft 'Fixit' on the following link - this is particularly useful in correcting issues that may prevent reinstallation on machines running a 64bit OS.

  • Recovery Assistant Manager not working

    HP 2000-2d09WM Notebook PC
    New computer
    i bought it new last year
    turned it on and played on it for about an hour to make sure it was working correctly.
    repackaged and stored as I was keeping it as a spare.
    Got it out last week
    did all Windows updates etc
    did the upgrade to windows 8.1
    it is very unstable and unusable after the upgrade.
    i did follow hp instructions from this website in doing the upgrade. i even printed them out
    to follow them.
    I tried to do System Recovery and it will not work at all.
    I have tried through HP assistant manager.  I click on button to go into Recovery and it does nothing
    I have tried through start up and it will not do anything
    I did do recovery disk when I started computer up new last week
    I don't know how to get this computer to go back to windows 8 factory settings

    I understand that after upgrading to Windows 8.1 your system is very unstable and you are having a difficulty doing a recovery.
    Have you tried testing for hardware failures to rule that possibility out?   HP Notebook PCs - Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 8)
    As you stated you cannot access the recovery manager either from withing Windows or on start up here is a link to
    Troubleshooting HP System Recovery Problems (Windows 8).  You may need to do the recovery from the recovery disk you made.

    After a Lion clean install, how do I retrieve my data from external hard drive?
    Following Apple advice I used Migration Assistant which crashed new system twice which is why I had to clean install Lion in the first place.
    Is there a sure way of doing it?
    I have only a few programs that I will have to install myself and that should not be a problem.
    I just want my data, music and photos back where I can use them.

    Time machine backups. I went to migration assistant a few hours ago and limited my selection to "users", no need for applications, settings and other files.  Stuff started moving over at a fast pace but has now seemed to stall.
    I will let it run overnight as there are lots of songs and photos as well as a few movies.
    If that does not work, then I will go into TM and try restore. I have restored some things in the past such a mail files and it has worked well. 
    The Apple fellow at the store told me to go right into TM, he may have had a point. I'll get it eventually.

  • HP Printer Assistant is not working ...keeps loading...

    Hello, I have purchased a HP Officejet Pro 6830  All in One printer and have installed the software from the CD, installed updates and already used the HP Docter software but the Printer Assistant does not load. It keeps on with a blank screen, with the message that the Assistant is loading and Default Text message (see screenshot) it is just that, My system is Win 7 professional and compuer is Asus. The printer and scanner are working but the Printer Assistant software does not work.  My previous printer was also an all in one from HP and it had HP solution Center to manage the printer and scanning process but reading the forum I understand that is not a solution for this problem.

  • Hp envoy m6 sound card, simmple pass applicatio​n and support assistant is not working properly

    i have hp envoy m61204tx.
    after upudate using hp support assistant sound card is not working properly also when i run hp simple pass or hp support assistant only start window appears then it hides nothing happend next.
    please guide me what is the problem and how to solve it.

    I understand that sound has quit working after support assistant ran a few updates.  
    Press Windows Key + X and select device manager.  The sound card should be listed in the sound section.  What status is displayed for the sound card?
    What is the status of the mute key on the notebook?  Does it have an amber light?
    What happens if you try to install this driver?

  • Keyboard, touchpad and assist button not working

    Hello, I have a touchscreen VAIO laptop on which the keyboard, touchpad and assist button are not working. The touckscreen keyboard works, and if a plug in a bluetooth USB mouse it works too. Te problem as I said before is with the touchpad and physical keyboard, which don't work even in the BIOS inicialization. I tried the assist button but it doesn't work neither. Instead of accessing VAIO Care, it turns the computer on. I also tried to restore the system and update drives, but with no success. The problem started with some bubbles on the screen that freezed the computer. I restarted it and only the keyboard was working (the light under it was on) but the display was off. Then I restarted it again, and again and now only the dispaly is on (I can access Windows 8 via touchscreen), and the rest of it is off (not working, leds off, etc).

    I am sorry to hear your issues but it seems that you are experience a combination of hardware and software issues. First, the Assist button should work when you press it. Try to press Assist button again while the unit is off (just in case you were trying to use it while the unit is off). 
    Power cycle the unit - Remove the battery and all peripherals -> press and hold the power button for 5 seconds OR, if the battery is not removable, remove all peripherals-> look for a battery off button on the bottom of the laptop -> push the button for 5 seconds. 
    Test again the unit. If this won't push through then we highly suggest to visit Sony's Authorized Service Center in your area.

  • Performance Monitor Will Not Work

    The checkbox for Enable Performance Monitoring under the
    debugging options tab in my CF8 install will not stay checked. Also
    when I try to use the performance monitor to monitor CF8 it does
    not work. Any ideas?

    CF7 migrated to 8, applied fix as in kb402900 but no change
    for me... cfstat can't find cfserver and no instance available in
    perfmon
    however i DID get it to work... it looks like the migration
    process made .bak of all the xml files

    i noted that cfstat port in the old shows
    <string>7999</string> and in the new cf8 it shows
    <number>7999</number>
    the entries are also in a different order (but i'm guessing
    that shouldn't be a problem..right???)
    i renamed neo-mertic.xml to neo-metric.cf8 (as backup) and
    renamed neo-metric.bak (the cf7 version) to neo-metric.xml ,
    restarted cfservice and now cfstat works and there's a jrun
    instance in perfmon
    you may be able to fix it by simply changing
    <number></number> to <string></string> in
    the existing version of neo-metrics.xml (unless the tag order does
    count)...I didn't try that...
    note: I had already applied the dll fixes so that may or may
    not be required...

    I download it, run it, and error says that the install file is damaged, try to get a new install file from Adobe.

  • Download assistance update not working

    I have tried this more than ten times now and every time, the update is not finalizing. The download assistance every time that I open it, it promps the update dialogue and when I click on download now, it downloads and gets to the end, but the update doesn't finalize and stays there for hours, please see the screen attached to this message.
    I am on Mac OS X 10.8.2
    Is there any else experience the same problem?

  • Dialup networking using operator assist option not working on Windows 7

    I know how to enable operator assist in Windows 7.  The issue is that when I click the initial Dial button I get a dialogue box stating modems connecting, I see the modem initialize but the connecting dialogue box never changes to
    the second dialogue box that tells you to manually dial your number and hit connect when you hear the carrier from the far end modem.  I have tried different laptops running windows 7 and none of them work.  One has a built in soft modem, one has
    a USB serial port connected to an external 3Com Courier modem and one has a USB modem.  Everything works on Windows XP, but none of the Windows 7 machines work.  I have tried this using Windows 7 Enterprise edition, and Professional edition.  If
    I wait long enough I eventually get the 638 time out error but the modems connecting dialogue is still on the screen.  If I hit the cancel button it just cancels the operation and if I dial the number and hear the far end carrier I can't get my modem
    to answer.  I have looked at the modem log file from both a working windows XP and a Windows 7 system and they are both exactly the same up to the point of the modems connecting dialogue box, the Windows XP log shows a Dial command
    when I connect using the second dialogue box.

    Here are the details of the expected behavior (as observed by XP SP3 behavior):
    1. Both source and target modems are serial devices.
    2. Network Connections is opened
    3. Advanced menu -> Operator-Assisted Dialing is selected (enabled)
    4. Dialup connection is double-clicked and dialog to connect appears
    5. Dial button is clicked
    6. Dialog appears: " Pick up the handset and dial (or ask the operator to dial). Press OK immediately after dialing, then replace the handset."
    7. Customer picks up handset connected to line port of modem and dials live operator, operator picks up and forwards call to specified target modem
    8. As soon as customer hears target modem tone he hangs up handset and clicks OK on dialog from step 8.
    9. Dialog appears: "Modems connecting..."
    9. Modems connect
    Here is the observed behavior in Win7:
    1. Both source and target modems are serial devices.
    2. Network Connections is opened
    3. Alt key pressed which brings up menu bar. Advanced menu -> Operator-Assisted Dialing is selected (enabled)
    4. Dialup connection is double-clicked and dialog to connect appears
    5. Dial button is clicked
    6. No dialog to pickup handset ever appears. Instead we see dialog for "Modems connecting..."
    7. Modems can't actually connect because no number was ever dialed. Opportunity to dial number to live operator is not presented to user.
    This performance is by-design. The dialog box is not appearing because the service is running in session 0. Generally, user sessions are from session 1. Since the service is running in session 0, the dialog box wont be visible in other sessions(user sessions).
    This session 0 isolation was implemented right from vista.. In XP, service is running in user session and hence user is not experiencing any problems.
    Since this function is old and we won't fix it in Windows 7. But we could provide the workaround as below:
    Resolution
    1. Start->Run
       services.msc
    2. Start the “Interactive Services Detection” service if not already started.
    3. Right-click this service and select Properties
    4. Select Log On tab and enable “Allow service to interact with desktop”.  Click OK to accept the changes.
    5. Repeat step 4 for the Telephony service
    6. Make the OA call:
    a. Click Dial on DUN dialog
    b. Dialog appears, select “View the Message”
    c. Session switched by system – “Manual Dial” dialog appears
    d. Pick up handset and dial far-end modem, wait for far-end modem tone, click OK and hang up handset
    e. Click “Return now” – system switches session back to user session.
    f. Modems should connect.
