Hai All,
I am Farooq, the only individual for a Company working on ABAP from about 3 months. Please let me know all the details with Transactions of Performance Tuning, SQL Trace, & different other Traces.
Now I have come across ST01, ST02, ST03, ST04, ST05, ST06, ST07, ST11, ST14, ST20, ST22, ST30, ST33, ST35, ST36, ST37, ST62. I am hardly aware of anything in these. I know little about ST05 only & very interested to learn much more.
May be explaining all these may take much time & is not Possible here. So its OK even if U take your own time & send across any documents or mails to my ID, "[email protected]" when u r free. I would be very thankful to U. THANKS a lot in advance.

My requirement is to implement the custom attachment, and to store the data into custom lob table.

Issue faced:
When i run the page for the first time data gets inserted into custom table perfectly on clicking upload button,
but when clicked on add another button on the same page (which basically redirects to the same upload page and increments the attachment id by 1)
i am getting the below error:
Error
Unable to perform transaction on the record.
Cause: The record contains stale data. The record has been modified by another user.
Action: Cancel the transaction and re-query the record to get the new data.
Have spent entire day to resolve this issue but no luck.
Any help on this will be appreciated, let me know if i am going wrong anywhere.

How to find out the customers who are not performed transaction

Hi Experts,
My all transactions in my cube and my customer records in my master data now i want to find out the customers how didn't perform transaction..
can somebody give me idea...

Hi,
possible solution:
- make IObj customer as infoprovider (RSD1)
- Create a multiprovider having your cube (your trans data) and your customer master
- identify cube-customer with iobj-customer
- create a query on thi multi and filter one of the characteristic of your cube, e.g. document number or calendar day, with # (not assigned)
- drilldown the customer.
This will give you all the customers having no fact in your transactional data.
You can also have your query without the filter; in this case, one of your cube key figure will be 0 (or empty) for those customers...

We create a few years ago some Sales Information System using structures and tables Snnn. This structures/tables are accessible from transaction MCSI .
Right now the performance of the access to this information is very bad. We need a lot of time to use this SD Information System.
What can we do about this? Is it some notes about that, or some best practices?

You can use SE30 for doing run time analysis of what is going on in the program which part has taken how much time .
What is the data base time and what is program run time all details are available in this transaction.
Using ST05 u can identfy which table is taking time to query, What index it is using .. by this we can decide to do secondary indexing in the table .
At times it will also be neceesary from Basis side to re-build the index, re-build the statistics tables which will also improvise the performance .
I will send u doucment on performance tuning for programming.

Perform transaction in creator [SetAutocommit(false) and commit()]

I've finished one application with the Sun Java Studio Creator 2 but I've 2 technicals problems. One problem is about manage transactions.
In a validate button, I've to perform update with 2 tables for example (orders and orders_details).
My code:

It works but when I've an error in the 'orders_detailsDataProvider.getCachedRowSet().acceptChanges();', the orders's changes into the database are not rollback.

it doesn't work. When errors occurs in the orders_details's update, the orders's update is not still rollback. it seems like the connection I get is not in the same context of orders and orders details rowset context.

Tell us if it's a bug or not. I've try with 'acceptchanges(Connection conn)' but it doesn't work.
Yesterday i've searched for many hours solutions on internet and I've found that others guys have the same problem and in the CachedRowSet implementation there is a property called 'COMMIT_ON_ACCEPT_CHANGE'. This property is final and set to true. i don't see where we can set it to false. So every time we call acceptchanges(connection), even if connection is in setAutoCommit ( false ), the acceptchanges commit all changes directly. Is it a bug or not? I hope no because manage transactions must be one feature of Java Studio Creator's CachedRowSet.

Getting Error while saving a transaction without making any changes to it.

Hi All,
I have a page where in the advance table I add few rows and save the transaction. First time when I save it everything works fine, but when I save it again without making any changes to the fields I get following error:
"Unable to perform transaction on the record. \nCause: The record has been deleted by another user. \nAction: Cancel the transaction and re-query the records to get the new data."
In the same page if I make any changes again it allows me to save the transaction.
Please guide how we can avoid it..
I have already checked many threads related to the issue but nothing has worked. Please help!!

Bad reporting performance after compressing infocubes

Hi,
as I learned, we should compress requests in our infocubes. And since we're using Oracle 9.2.0.7 as database, we can use partitioning on the E-facttable to still increase reporting performance. So far all theory...
After getting complaints about worse reporting performance we tested this theory. I created four InfoCubes (same datamodel):
A - no compression
B - compression, but no partitioning
C - compression, one partition for each year
D - compression, one partition for each month
After loading 135 requests and compressing the cubes, we get this amount of data:
15.6 million records in each cube
Cube A: 135 partitions (one per request)
Cube B: 1 partition
Cube C: 8 partitions
Cube D: 62 partitions
Now I copied one query on each cube and with this I tested the performance (transaction rsrt, without aggregates and cache, comparing the database time QTIMEDB and DMTDBBASIC). In the query I selected always one month, some hierarchy nodes and one branch.
With this selection on each cube, I expected that cube D would be fastest, since we only have one (small) partition with relevant data. But reality shows some different picture:
Cube A is fastest with an avg. time of 8.15, followed by cube B (8.75, +8%), cube C (10.14, +24%) and finally cube D (26.75, +228%).
Does anyone have an idea what's going wrong? Are there same db-parameters to "activate" the partitioning for the optimizer? Or do we have to do some other customizing?

thanks for your hints.
1. after compressing the cubes I refreshed the statistics in the infocube administration.
2. cube C ist partitioned using 0CALMONTH, cube D ist partitioned using 0FISCPER.
3. here we are: alle queries are filtered using 0FISCPER. Therefor I could increase the performance on cube C, but still not on D. I will change the query on cube C and do a retest at the end of this week.
4. loaded data is joined from 10 months. The records are nearly equally distributed over this 10 months.
5. partitioning was done for the period 01.2005 - 14.2009 (01.2005 - 12.2009 on cube C). So I have 5 years - 8 partitions on cube C are the result of a slight miscalculation on my side: 5 years + 1 partion before + 1 partition after => I set max. no. of partitions on 7, not thinking of BI, which always adds one partition for the data after the requested period... So each partition on cube C does not contain one full year but something about 8 months.
6. since I tested the cubes one after another without much time between, the system load should be nearly the same (on top: it was a friday afternoon...). Our BI is clustered with several other SAP installations on a big unix server, so I cannot see the overall system load. But I did several runs with each query and the mentioned times are average times over all runs - and the average shows the same picture as the single runs (cube A is always fastest, cube D always the worst).
Any further ideas?

I just intalled version 7 of firefox and afterwards it told me it had disabled a security module for access to my bank account. The account and my company are in Brazil and I am in the US. I must have access to perform transactions. Had the program warned me I would not have "upgraded". To reinstall the security module I must be physically in Brazil because a code is text messaged to my local cell phone as one of the securty precautions and I am in the US and Europe for t3 to 4 weeks. I need to make a wire transfer during that time and cannot do so now. How can I go back to the old version and recover the bank access? Thank you.

i want to execute more than one cmt methods in web tier in one transaction.
if i insert data correctly to all,commit operation will be successfull.
But,when the transaction need roolback,it throw above exceptions.

Try this.
"---" sign is the valuation of the aggregate. You can say -3 is the valuation of the aggregate design and usage. ++ means that its compression is good and access is also more (in effect, performance is good). If you check its compression ratio, it must be good. -- means the compression ratio is not so good and access is also not so good (performance is not so good).The more is the positives...more is useful the aggregate and more it satisfies the number of queries. The greater the number of minus signs, the worse the evaluation of the aggregate. The larger the number of plus signs, the better the evaluation of the aggregate.
if "-----" then it means it just an overhead. Aggregate can potentially be deleted and "+++++" means Aggregate is potentially very useful.

Run your query in RSRT and run the query in the debug mode. Select "Display Aggregates Found" and "Do not use cache" in the debug mode. This will tell you if it hit any aggregates while running. If it does not show any aggregates, you might want to redesign your aggregates for the query.
use tool RSDDK_CHECK_AGGREGATE in se38 to check for the corrupt aggregates
If aggregates contain incorrect data, you must regenerate them.
Note 646402 - Programs for checking aggregates (as of BW 3.0B SP15)
Check SE11 > table RSDDAGGRDIR . You can find the last callup in the table.

Regarding performance monitoring of RWB

As far as I know , there are two ways to show the data through performance monitoring.One is [overview data],the other is [detailed data].My question is,my [overview data] is displayed successfully,but [detailed data] doesn't display anything.Some parameter need to set for [detailed data]?
Any help would be appreciated.
