  • Per. unit price in MM

    Dear Friends,
I am new to Material ledger. I would like to clarify Per. unit price in Material master when meterial ledger is active wtih option 2 transaction based.
Material is with Stnd price 10 $. recceived(MIGO) 3 parts @20 each.Costing view of mat master shows...
    Total stock : 3
    Standard price : $10
Inv value : $ 30.  Its fine till here, But Per. unit price also shows $10 and Value/per.unit pr is showing $30, It is price variances. Shouldt Per. unit price  be $20 Value/per.unit pr $60. How does it used when ML is active?
    Thanks,

  • Mat Ledger, Per.Unit Price for materials showing wronglu in Group Valuation

    Hi,
Periodic Unit Price of the materials for plant 1300 belongs to company code 1300 showing wrong value in Group Valuation.
Usually Periodic price for all valuations viz., Legal, Group and Profit center valuations should be same, why because we are using same cost component structure in order to arrive the actual cost for all the above three valuations.
Even though Group Valuation of Per. Unit Price is not matching with the Legal and profit center valuations Per. Unit Price. But both legal and profit center valuations are matching.
Please note that, actual cost component split for actual costing is not activated for plant 1300.
When analyzing this issue, it is observed that only the settlement value in between the Group, Profit center and legal valuation is differing for material ledger document.
But accounting document, PCA document, controlling documents are updating correctly.
Please help us how can i proceed to get the details of cost components, even actual cost component structure is not activiated for actual costing.
what are the possible reasons for differing values in Group valuations.
    Regards,
    S Vasu
Because of this reason system is calculating different values in group valuation (comparatively with legal and PCA valuations) at lower levels and flowing the same values to multilevel.

  • Synched Item Prices are going to Negative Discount if differ from B1 Price

    Hi Everyone,
I am currently manipulating prices on the Shopping Cart, so that they are not based on Price Lists.  The functionality inside of Web Tools is working great.  I am overriding the values at the appropriate places so it does not recalculate back, but whenever it synchs over to B1, it is incorrect.  For example, I have an item that is $33 inside of the Price List that the Business Partner is associated with, however I am selling it on the Web for $30.00.  It shows up in Web Tools as $30.00 and I get the OrderDetail Lines to show this value, when it synchs, it puts in the $33 and gives me the $3 as a discount.  In addition, there is no discount inside of Web Tools, however, if there is an item group discount applied in SAP, that value is in there, so if that item group got 5% it would show that and then again put the negative discount in the Order Total.  The synch guide says that it takes these values from Web Tools when synching, but this is not occurring.  Can anyone guide me in the right direction on this?  I don't want to write a custom synch to overwrite this information when it should be directly passed from Web Tools.  Please let me know as I have this case in a lot of situations.
This is using Web Tools 2007 PL 04.
    Thank you!

    Hi Shane,
You nailed my problem exactly...  Pricing does not synch from Web Tools to B1 and that will not be changing.  (That is all I am talking about, this has nothing to do with B1 --> WT or hierarchies and expansions).
I have an item inside of B1 that will need to manually change its price and the same rule will apply for the Web, I need to be able to manually change its price, but because the synch does not take place between WT and B1 on the Price, I get the wrong value passed over and an Order Discount for the difference.  Now, the funny thing is that I have another item that I do the same thing with (it has variable price), but this item is marked only as a Sales Item and that item's price synchs over from WT --> B1.  I have no idea why that is happening correctly and others are not.
I believe that this is something that should be addressed.  This also ties into the Tax issue at the line item level as well.  If you can define prices and taxes inside of Web Tools those should absolutely be synched over to Business One and overwrite whatever values are in there.  I am not sure why that wouldn't change.  Does it make sense to let the prices of items and taxes to be overridden by B1 based on what is in B1 even though what is in B1 is not matching what is in Web Tools?  I am more confused on why we wouldn't be addressing this as a problem.  You can override prices manually inside of B1, so I would think you would want the same functionality inside of Web Tools.  Not to mention why would you want the order that comes over from WT to look differently inside of B1, which is what is happening and worse yet, why would you want all of the differences to come over in one lump field (Order Level Discounts).
Hopefully my intention is clear here...  What I believe is the ideal situation is that the order should come over exactly as it is put into WT, nothing should be overridden from B1, not prices, not taxes, nothing.  Otherwise, it is not the same order.  Taxes makes it even worse too because now B1 has complete wrong Sales Tax reports.  I would love to discuss this further as each of my clients has a problem with this.  Only the most simple cases (where everyone is Tax exempt, or they only use simple price lists) does it work out properly and it all stems from allowing B1 to override the order.  I will pass this along to see if there is something that we can do.
Thanks for the answer Shane and please let me know if what I am suggesting makes sense.
    Thanks,
    Kristen

  • Difference in Price per unit and Standard cost between COPA and PCA

    Hi
I did a comparison between COPA and PCA for January. For few products, there is a difference in the Standard cost and PPU between the two reports(product wise). What might possibly be the reason for the difference. And how to analyze the root cause of this difference.
    Thanks
    Jaswanth

    Hi
By PPU - Do you mean PUP i.e. Per Unit Price of Material Ledger??
If yes, then you are not comparing apple to apple.. Std cost is bound to be diff than actual cost

  • Price unit field in material master

    Hi all,
Could you please tell me the use of price unit field in accounting view of material master? I know that it is the unit in terms of which standard price is maintained in material master. I also know that it should be equal or less than costing lot size. But i wanted to know if there is any other impact/use of this field like impact on per unit price etc.
    Regards
    Suresh

    Hi
    You have understood it correct...
Just to add one more point, SAP recommends Price Unit to be higher i.e. 100 or 1000 in order to avoid rounding differences in Product Costing, variance calculation

  • Unit price of finished Product

    Dear All,
Can any one tell me,how system calculate the unit price of finished product when we make reciept from production in SAP B1.
    Regard's
    Hari Narayan

The Actual Production Cost is not derived from the BOM, but from the production order Components tab. It contains originally the lines from the BOM, but they are modifiable. And the system uses these data from the production order and the cost prices of the components at the time of the Receipt from Production transaction (Cost price = Item master data / Inventory tab / Item Cost ). So if you modify the production order, the system can use different components for getting the production cost for different receipts. And may be with different cost prices.
The by-products (the negative quantity components in the production order) have no affect to the actual production cost.

  • Material unit Price different in comp code curr and group currency

In our case, there are two currencies : INR and USD.
Material Ledger is active in our case.
Material = Raw Material with price indicator 'V'.
In the current period it is seen that the INR price and USD price in the material master shows different values
    i.e. INR = 110 and USD = 550
Based on the conversion rate (1 USD = 55 INR), the INR = 110 and USD = 2 per unit.
But why this is showing like this ?
Please help to resolve this at the very earliest, please.
Are we missing any transactions in the Material Ledger, please comment.

    Hi Nikitha,
Compare price history in INR and USD in t-code CKM3N to pinpoint which transaction caused the difference. I would suspect MR21 or MR22 postings that only updated INR or USD values.

  • How to retrieve price per unit in SAP?

    Hi all!
does anyone know what are the steps to retrieve from SAP price per unit value that customer was invoiced?
I am writing Z program for retrieving price per unit (for example per kilogram) in order to calculate debit/credit memo invoice for the customer.
To achieve this I have the following information:
    customer nr
    material nr
amount of units (for example amount of kilograms)
    invoice nr

so price per unit value is missing here... if I have it I could multiply it with amount of units and get the result I need...

  • PO: Condition type maintained in header level affect the price per unit

    Hi,
When I create a PO (Tcode ME21N) with 2 line items:
Line Item 1: $5.00 per unit, order 1 unit
Line Item 2: $10.00 per unit, order 1 unit
Then I put a condition type: Transportation Charges of $10.00 at header level.
The system will auto calculate and proportionate the transportation charges into that 2 line items. So now, the price per unit of the 2 line items has been change:
Based on the formula [ (original price per unit * Transportation Charges / total order value) + original price per unit ]:
    Line Item 1: $8.33 per unit [ ($5.00 * $10.00 / $15.00) + $5.00 ]
    Line Item 2: $16.67 per unit [ ($10.00 * $10.00 / $15.00) + $10.00 ]
There are 2 things here that we want to do:
    1. We donu2019t want the transportation charges affect the price per unit. Means we do not want the price per unit to be changed. We want the transportation charges stand alone on it owns.
    2. Also, sometimes the transportation charges is paid to a different supplier, meaning the original order value paid to supplier A, and the transportation charges paid to the supplier B (which is a transportation company).
Can anyone advise how can I do this?
    Thank you.

    hai;
give the transportation charges in item level
go to 'item details' tab and select individual item ,go to condition ,maintain the 'frb1' value seperatly for the two items in the PO.You can also assign seperate transportation vendor for items sepertly.
For selecting the transportation vendor ;you just select the line where you maintained the frieght value and click on the 'condition detail' button shown in the bottom of the screen then on next screen there is an option for giving the transportation vendor acccount no.
    try
    hope this will help you

  • Valuation Price in Material Price

    Dear All,
If we maintain the Material Price in Finished Goods Material Maters ex; 100/- .  If  after running ck24 it updated 150/-, after running the prodution order confirmation it would be 180/-  then what will be affect from fi side.
my question is, Is it mandatory to maintain the Price in Finished Goods  Material Master Record.
If we maintain the Planned Price, then the costestimation shows the different amount, then  production confirmation is the different price for the finished goods.
    Can i have any inputs
    Regards

    Hi,
The price of the finished goods are taken for valuation based on the sequence you have defined in the Material valuation
tab of the valuation variant.  The system checks for the information in the same order given by you.  If you dont have
price in Material Master, it will for go for the next sequence no that you have given , from info record, for example.
