Permanent links for screen sharing in 10.10 not working after upgrade

In 10.9 I used the Screen Sharing folder (Users ▸ test ▸ Library ▸ Application Support ▸ Screen Sharing) with permanent links to different machines on my network to log in for screen sharing. Trying to use these links in 10.10 I get the following error:
the link I use it: Seva Server.vncloc.
Any tips as to how to fix?

I upgraded to iOS 7 and all the sudden when I go to type in my code to unlock my phone it is really laggy, when I finally get into my phone and go to use the keyboard to type a message it acts like I haven't even touched the screen when I go to type.

Unfortunately with all of the problems and such an unstable OS today is my last day using my iPhone. I love my phone and have had it on my company business account for the last 4 years but it has become so prohibitive to use as a business tool I am forced to move to the company’s Galaxy based phone. Power book G4 Leopard 10.5.8. File sharing preference checked but not working after start up until unchecked and the rechecked?

I hope the title is enough info, please ask. In the mean time I have created an applescript to open preferences/ sharing and uncheck then check the file sharing box. This works but I would obviously prefer it just work normally. I have no corrupt preference files. Perhaps a file is missing? Thank you.

I understand the touch screen on your notebook is not detected after updating to Windows 8.1.
This would be the best place to start: Troubleshooting Touch Screen Issues in Windows 8. This is a great document that covers touchscreen issues from start to finish. Do not be alarmed that it states the document pertains to TouchSmart PC's, as the steps are the same.
It would also help to know which product you are using so I can give you more detailed information, such as driver downloads.

Home sharing on apple tv not working since upgrade to yosimite

home sharing with my Apple TV (gen 3) and iMac not working since upgrading iTunes (12.0.01.26) and installing Yosemite (10.10) on my iMac (2008).
everything worked fine before this!

Code is not working check for solution . The code is not working after look up table.

In this code i am multiplying two binary images , one is a rectangle and another is an image. i am getting the rectangle, but not the image. The image part is not working after the look up table. Waiting for the solution

You are reading LT_AFIH into WA_AFIH. But then you are assigning NPLDS from WA_MHIS. From what I can see, WA_MHIS hasn't been filled with anything. Try changing:
     WA_MC17I30HDR-ZZNPLDA = WA_MHIS-NPLDA.
To:
     WA_MC17I30HDR-ZZNPLDA = WA_AFIH-NPLDA.
Hope that does the trick.

11.1.1.6.4 Repository variables for DSN and USER do not work after upgrade

Hi,
The Repository Variables OLAP_DSN and OLAP_USER no longer work after upgrading to 11.1.1.6.4 i.e they return a connection error when trying to import metadata but the connection is correct if explicitly set without the variable used.
I have tried the following resolution:
- From command line execute commands to set variable properties via admintool.exe /command vartext.txt
Open rpdname user password
SetProperty "Variable" "OLAP_DSN" Initializer "'ORCL.GLOBAL'"
Save
Close
Exit
This script works fine as demonstrated by commenting out Save, Close, Exit and running. But it does not resolve the problem.
The issue is consistent as in the OLAP_USER variable does not work if DNS for connection pool set to ORCL.GLOBAL.
Is this a bug?

Screen sharing and Pro Tools not working

Hi there. I'd really love to get some help with an issue I'm having.
I'm using ProTools 9 on my 2008 Mac Pro 2.8 Octo.
Protools runs perfect, unless I attempt to use screen sharing or any sort of VNC connection. As soon as I try to screen share with my laptop, or control the mac pro with my ipod touch using VNC, Protools can't play for more than a few seconds without an error bringing the program to a halt.
I started a thread on AVID's site that has more detail if you are interested.

But I've had no answers and I don't know if it's something I can tweak in my apple system to fix the fact that Protools is not interacting well with screen sharing.
any advice would be much appreciated. I'd LOVE for this to work, otherwise I need to buy a dedicated DAW controller, which doesn't make sense to me in 2011!

Unless you're actually using Apple Remote Desktop, the specific product, I'd suggest you post in the Mac OS X Networking forum or perhaps the Using Mac OS X forum, the one applicable to your version of Mac OS X. You'll be more likely to get help there.
When you repost, be sure to include full details, especially your version of Mac OS X. I really doubt that you're running an Apple IIe and Mac OS 8.6 or earlier, and while you might think that amusing, it doesn't help people solve your problems.

Closed connection in stalled screen sharing and now does not work

Using screen sharing I created a second admin account on the computer 2. I enabled quick account switching and tried to switch user accounts to the new admin account. I linked the new admin account to be shared with my existing admin account on computer 1. The screen never switched over to my new admin account and I couldn't quit screen sharing so I closed the connection with computer 2. Now I can't share the screen with computer 2 at all, even using my original admin account (not the newly created one). I can't reboot my computers because it will abort jobs that need to remain running.
I can still share screens between computer 1 and other computers (i.e. not computer 2) but when I try to share with computer 2, it doesn't even ask me to log in.

This issue remains unresolved, but since Apple Discussions decided to archive my question it is impossible to receive any replies.

Cancelling Screen Sharing over Bonjour does not work

I have a MacBook and an iMac on the same local network. Both are running updated OS X 10.5 (Leopard).
Here's the situation:
1. Let's say I'm at my MacBook and I want to see my iMac's screen. I open screen sharing.
2. For whatever reason, I later am sitting at my iMac, and I see the screen sharing icon in the menu bar. I select it and tell it to disconnect.
3. A few seconds later, the icon returns.
The same thing happens if the computers are reversed.
Why is this?

This issue remains unresolved, but since Apple Discussions decided to archive my question it is impossible to receive any replies.

I bought my Premiere Elements package from another seller which gave me a link to download from Adobe. The product key thing is legit but every time I click on the file link for windows, my laptop comes up with this message: "The file archive of Adobe Premiere Elements 11 is missing. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adpbe Premiere Elements 11. Please download all parts."
What does this mean??? Can anyone help me??? Please!

Really tired of screen sharing not working after upgrade to 10.10

I have tried everything I can think of but I simply cannot get screen sharing to work any longer when I am not within my home network.
I NEED this to work. Anyone else having huge problems getting screen sharing working when away from their home network?
Anything at all I can try at this point? Sometimes the share screen button doesnt even show, sometime it does and then says it cant
come up, sometimes my mac at home doesnt even show up in the Shared sidebar area.

I've had lots of issues with my Macs picking up new names eg. 'iMac (2)' instead of 'iMac' which led to sharing issues (screen sharing, AFP etc). I've set up new DHCP IP reservations on my router (Time Capsule) in the hope it will stop happening.

In our BSP application for a page we had an inputfield (date).
Onvaluehelp for input field we were calling the saphelpdate function.
however after upgrade this functionality is not working properly as no pop up comes after clicking on the icon.

Mac Mini Wake for Network Access Not working after upgrade

After upgrading to the latest OS (10.8) the WOL fuction is not work. This used to work before the release. i could see the Mac mini on my mac book pro even when it was asleep. Once I click on it under the shared resources area I could see the Mac wake up. Now as soon as it goes to sleep it drops from my mac book pro. I am connected via WIFI but also tried via LAN. Same result. Any ideas? Seems to be a bug as I google this issue it appears to be impacting many people.

Same issue here after updating my iMac to OS X 10.8. I can't use Logmein, wireless syncing to iTunes from my iOS devices, or my Logitech Server software for my Logitech Radio. Once the computer goes to sleep, it is invisible to the rest of the network. This all worked fine on 10.4-10.7. I have double-checked that Wake on Network Activity is turned on. I have disabled all networking interfaces except Ethernet. Nothing seems to help.

VirtualBox Shared Folders not working after upgrade

I'm running Arch Linux as a guest OS in VirtualBox. After yesterday's upgrades of linux to 3.11.1-1 and virtualbox-guest-modules to 4.2.18-3, the shared folder functionality seems to be seriously borked.
The vboxsf module itself loads fine, and produces no kernel messages except the standard hello :

Mounting a shared directory with mount.vboxsf and mount -t vboxsf results in a success. However, accessing the mount ends in the CPU usage spiking to 100% and nothing happening. Furthermore, the following line appears in /etc/mtab :
none /mnt vboxsf rw,nodev,relatime 0 0
Removing and adding the shared folder from the machine settings, sadly, does not work. I'm running VirtualBox 4.2.18 on the host machine.
Has anybody had this issue after the update? Thanks in advance.

Problem:
ls hangs when run in a shared folder.
Yesterday I updated Arch Linux (through pacman), halted, updated Virtual Box to 4.2.18, and started Arch Linux again. However, after I did so I could not access my shared directories (with my Windows host). I do not think it is a permission problem (root cannot ls either).
I can:
cd /media/sf_VMShared
cd <a folder in VMShared>
However, I can't ls the directories. This is only a problem in Shared Folders. When I run
strace ls
It gets stuck looping on
