You need to double tap with three fingers not drag. Try doing this, go to settings> general> accessibility> accessibility shortcut> zoom> on. Then go to settings > general> accessibility> zoom and show controller> on. Now when you need to zoom simply triple tap the home button. An onscreen button will appear. Tap that buttom for the onscreen zoom menu. To turn zoom and the button off simply triple tap the home button.

  • Perspective Zoom switches on automatically for wall paper after restart

    Hey all,
i've got an iPad 2 running iOS 8.0.2. After setting my home screen + lock screen images with perspective zoom switched off for both and I then restart my iPad for whatever reason, both the images have automatically switched on perspective zoom and are way too zoomed in. I then have to go back to wall paper, switch off perspective zoom for both images, re-position them and then it's fine. But after every restart (or my battery died) I have to do the same thing.
    Any thoughts? Thanks

Whenever i open a fullsscreen program it automatically switches to start menu even if i didnt press Windows button on keyboard
There is a button on keyboard that disables Windows key-im sure it disables it because i tried pressing Windows key while on-screen keyboard is on. here's a pic of keyboard:
    http://www.teknolojer.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Logitech_G103.jpg
red key on the top disables Windows key so you dont press it while gaming
    For example:
Start cs go,wait until it loads,it goes to main menu, mouse pointer is normal windows pointer and not cs go's custom pointer that looks like a paper plane so i think it's still not on game
When i click somewhere it switches to start menu.
After that when you try to switch to game,it goes black for a second, and then switches to start menu again, waiting me to type something
This problem happens in cs go,mortal kombat, garry's mod i havent tried it in other games
I disabled logitech gaming software and it didnt work.
Keep in mind that i formatted and installed Windows again but this issue still persists
    Thanks in advance

  • Perspective zoom

perspective zoom not working on ios 8 iphone 5s !!! can any one help me

Sorry I don't understand what the issue could be.
    Do the usual tests…
    Reboot the phone
Change your background to another image - also try the default wallpapers.
You can also backup the device in iTunes & restore iOS. It can sometimes help, but it can take a few hours if you have a lot of data to restore from the backup.
Also take a look at this…
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/25687653#25687653
It suggests 'perspective zoom' is an option within the wallpaper settings (that could be an iPad only setting).

  • ZOOM stuck in timeline

Every now and then, I get "stuck" in the zoom command. The magnifying glass icon won't go away and I can't select a clip in the timeline. I can close and re-open FCE but it often times does it again right away.
I'm also having some other quirks which make me wonder if something isn't faulty. For instance, When I started the project, I was able to "close gap" but I can't do that anymore.
FYI: It's an academic version. IDK if this should make any difference or not.

Well, I tried that and it still does it. I'm totally new to FCE and pretty new to the Mac world, in general. So this may be a dumb question but, I SHOULD be able to just esc from commands, right? Actually, I never even select the zoom command in the first place. I've just been using the horizontal slider to zoom in/out of the timeline. But all of a sudden sometimes, the magnifying glass is there and I can't select a clip because it will just zoom in on it instead. So, I close FCE, and it works for a bit and then does it again. I haven't been able to deduce what action I'm doing to trigger the "magnifying glass" in the first place.
    thanks

  • IPad zoom stuck and unresponsive

My daughter has done it this time.  She has turned on the zoom and it is at the max. The old three finger double tap and the home button fast three times does nothing.  I can't power it off.  Once in twenty tries, I can get to settings but scrolling doesn't work so I can't get over to turn off zoom. I'm out of ideas.

Have you tried resetting your iDevice?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
    No data will be lost.

  • IPad mini screen stuck on giant icon/start-up screen

The screen is stuck in a giant zoom that does not allow me to use the screen or iPad. It is in a terminal freeze on the giant
word, "Hello". I'm assuming this is because i did a reboot to recovery mode and it is stuck in that now. Cannot get
any icons to work, or get it to a small enough size to use the iPad or to type anything.
Stuck. frozen. screen zoom stuck. opening screen Hello stuck.
It seems to me I'm going to have to send it back to Apple with only a few hours use on it, yet I can't even turn it on to look up the serial huber # .
    any ideas welcome.
    help. please. help.
    nelson

It sounds to me like your iPad needs to go back to Apple. It obviously responds in some fashion if you were able to update the device, but whatever is causing the screen to freeze isn't fixable with any means that you would have at your disposal. You say it has a few hours use on it. I hope that means that it is still well within the one year warranty.
Contact Apple to set up a return, or take it to an Apple Store.

  • Blurry zoom on my iPad

Just recently when i try to zoom in on a PDF file in my email on my iPad, the file will zoom but is all blurry. It never comes into focus. Not sure if the is is an issue after update with some settings changes. Works fine on my iPhone 5s, but not on the iPad. Checked the settings on my iPad verses iPhone and all are the same. Am i just missing something obvious?

    Hello Amine01,
If you want disabled for that you have to go Settings-Wallpapers & Brightness- after you will see your lockscreen wallpaer and your home screen wallpaper, you need to tap on it, After you will see one option PERSPECTIVE ZOOM: ON , Just tap on it it will turn off.

  • Any way to turn off only the parallax effect while enabling the home screen/folders zoom in/out animations?

I've just updated to iOS 7.1 and I had thought that there might be an option to turn off only the parallax effect while keeping all the home screen animations (the zooming effects) effective?? Is there a way to do that, or are the parallax effect and the animations come together under the "Reduce Motion" option?

Now I'm enjoying the zooming effects(animations) while at the same time, extending the battery life to some extent by doing some little settings! Thanks to the valuable answer provided by Ralph (see above).
    The procedure is:
Settings > Wallpapers and brightness > either choose a new wallpaper or tap one of your existing wallpapers > you can then turn on or off Perspective Zoom > tap Set
(If you turn Perspective Zoom OFF, you won't be getting the parallax effect or vice versa)
And after you complete the above steps successfully, you can say Goodbye to the useless (to me lol) and battery hungry parallax effect and enjoy the zooming (pretty amazing thing which looks good while working) at the same time!!!
But even after doing that, you can notice some parallax effect left over in the home screen, but I think that's normal (Or maybe even a bug lol). And the best part about that new option introduced in iOS 7.1 is, you can choose where you want the parallax effect to work (I mean you can either experience parallax effect in the lock screen or in the homescreen or both) It's your wish, buyt while doing the above steps, turn "OFF" the Reduce Motion in Settings>General>Accessibility>Reduce Motion>OFF
    Try it @GetVladimir.com !!!
    Regards,
    Paneesh.

  • Is there any way to help aid this annoying wallpaper zoom problem?

So with the addition of iOS 7 came a new feature; parallax, adding a 3D effect to the home and lock screens. This is all fine and dandy, but 1. I don't like the feature because it wastes battery to use the gyroscope to just make the wallpaper move a bit, 2. The parallax doesn't even look 3D, and 3. Which is my main problem, it messes with the scale and zoom of when I am trying to set a wallpaper.
So pretty much what I am asking, is there any way to make more of a wallpaper show when I set it? Even with "Perspective Zoom" turned off, most of the edges of the picture are cut out  and the "Fix" introduced with 7.1 doesn't seem to fix anything relating to the annoying zoom problems, other than giving people the option to not have their wallpaper move, but still have animations-and oh that brings up something else-
Turning off "Perspective Zoom" turns off the wallpaper moving, but not the app icons moving. If you look closely, the apps move too, in the opposite direction of the wallpaper, to help give more of a parallax effect. The movement is a lot more subtle, but still definitely there.

I never had any problem installing wallpaper. Knowing the photo is going to enlarge start with a photo smaller then full screen. If the photo is too small when you try to install it you can enlarge it by putting two fingers on the screen and moving your fingers apart.

  • IPad mini wallpaper zooms in whenever I restart

So I always use high resolution images for my ios backgrounds. I always keep perspective zoom off unless I am using a stock image as it completely zooms in on the picture. However, whenever I use non stock pictures, I keep them zoomed right out to keep them at the highest resolution possible, but whenever I turn off my iPad, when I turn it on again all the wallpapers (lock and home) are drastically zoomed in, so much it distorts the picture and this really bugs me. I am running iOS 8.01

    Hello El Chubbo,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To start troubleshooting this issue where your background image zooms after restarting, I'd like you to please first update your iPad to iOS 8.2, the most current release.

  • Automatically zoomed in background picture

Every time I go set a background picture it zooms in so much that you can hardly tell what the photo is. Ive tried turning on Restriction Motion but it doesnt work. I have an iPhone 4. It's really annoying me. It was fine until i did the update. Please help!

    Hello cgfrizzell,
I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue with your iPhone after a recent  update. If your wallpaper image appears to be too zoomed in, you may want to check the Perspective Zoom setting, as noted on Page 24 of the following iOS 7 User Guide:
Turn perspective zoom on or off. When choosing an image for new wallpaper, tap the Perspective Zoom button. For wallpaper you already set, go to the Wallpapers & Brightness setting and tap the image of the Lock screen or Home screen to display the Perspective Zoom button. The Perspective Zoom setting determines whether the selected wallpaper is zoomed automatically.
Note: The Perspective Zoom button doesn’t appear if Reduce Motion (in Accessibility settings) is turned on. See Reduce onscreen motion on page 139.

  • My wallpaper zooms in when I restart on iOS 8 (iPad Air)

Whenever I restart my iPad Air, my wallpaper zooms in, as if Perspective Zoom was on, but it is not. I need to manually reset my wallpaper each time I boot up. What can I do?

Mine too. It happens with pictures from my photo library, rather than the stock pictures.
I can't believe how many of these annoying problems iOS 8 has. Definitely not ready for prime time.

  • How can I disable iOS 7 wallpaper zoom on my iPad 2?

Even when I reduce motion all my wallpapers are zoomed.

  • IOS 8 wallpaper size is now a problem again. How to fix?

Today I tried to change my wallpaper on my iPhone 6 and Apple does not make this an easy process. When I added the new picture to use as my wallpaper it automatically zoomed in really close on the picture. I guess this is the "perspective zoom" feature. Even with the perspective zoom turned off I can only zoom out slightly and a large portion of my picture is still cut off. After trying to fix this for the past hour I can't seem to find a good fix (and no, zooming out and taking a screen shot from farther away to use this new version of the picture DOES NOT work as listed in so many fixes on this forum. This only distorts the picture and still does not give me a workable size) I also refuse to download a 3rd party app that will "allegedly" fix this problem. I am looking for a solution from Apple whether this is simply a setting change somewhere or a bug they are working on fixing.
To make this worse when I gave up and tried to change it back to my previous wallpaper I can't get my previous picture to work anymore because it's automatically zoomed way in. So basically I'm not stuck with a weirdly close background that looks horrible.
    1. Is there a fix to this awful "perspective zoom" feature in IOS 8 where I can use the actual picture instead of a zoomed in version of the picture?
    OR
    2. Is there a way to revert back to my previous wallpaper before I tried to change it? (without restoring my iPhone)
Note: The previous wallpaper was inserted with a version of IOS 7 I was using before the update that apparently let you use an actual picture. I'm now running IOS 8 and can't figure out how to get this option to work correctly. In doing some research I see this was an issue with an early version of IOS 7 but Apple had apparently fixed it in a later version....The problem is now back with the early versions of IOS 8.
