PF calculation  working wrong in RT table

Hi
Kindly check below calculation for PF in RT table.
My question is /3F6 is 60000 (/3F5(5000)*12), but system is showing 59,000. Did I missed any config ????
  /3F1 Ee PF contribution        01  01   5,000.00
  /3F3 Er PF contribution        01  01    4,459.00
  /3F4 Er Pension contribution   01  01    541.00
/3F5 Ee Mon PF contribution              5,000.00
/3F6 Ee Ann PF contribution            59,000.00
  /3F9 PF adm chrgs * 1,00,000   01  01  45,833,700.00
  /3FA PF basis for Ee contrib   01  01     41,667.00
  /3FB PF Basis for Er Contrib   01  01    41,667.00
  /3FC Pension Basis for Er cont 01  01   6,500.00
/3FE Interest accrued on total               365.00
  /3FJ VPF basis for Ee contrib  01  01   41,667.00
/432 Agg of Chapter VI                    59,000.00
I think /432 is 6000(5000*12), why system is calculating 59000,
did I missed any configuration ????????
Please guide me ..
Thanking you
Regards
Nandhini

/3F6 calculation formula is as follows -
/3F5 = /3F5 YTD (year till date it will come from last month CRT) + /3F5 current month + /3F5 current month * projection factor.
Here YTD value is the one which is creating problem or rather you say because of it, it is coming less.
Try checking /3F5  in CRT table of last months one by one, you will get the month where it had been reduced.

  • Calculated Percentage Columns in Pivot Table loose formating in Excel

I have a simple report built using pivot table ( OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0)
1 Metric and 1 dimension using pivot table. and I duplicated the metric column and change it to % column.(Show data as % of column). SO far so good. Below is the snapshot
    http://tinypic.com/r/2s14xa9/7
Now i download the report in excel and all the % values are messed up . Below is how it looks
    http://tinypic.com/r/bede90/7
I tried messing with data formats etc..nothing works.. I cannot add a custom column format to the metric column since it will impact the derived % column.
Is this a bug ?Any pointers ..
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Follow up this SR:
SR 3-5060435331: Calculated Percentage Columns in Pivot Table loose formating in Excel
Workaround: (not sure may be give a try)
also give a try like below one then try to download it may work.
In that % column -->add the below statement in the Custom CSS section of the column properties:
    mso-number-format:"\@"
    Refer snapshot here:
    http://i53.tinypic.com/a09kqv.jpg
This will treat the data in the column as text while downloading to excel, hence retaining any leading or trailing spaces.
    Thanks

We are facing weird issue relating to Oracle Text Indexes. Search using Oracle Text Index

    DRG-10599: column is not indexed
But it works sometimes as in STEP 5 and returns 1 row. It is never consistent. We would like to
provide access to this Table using View only. That is why we would like to get this query working consistently
    using View.
Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    Auro

This is a known issue with CTXCAT indexes. Sometimes the optimizer will "drive" the query off another index, and request results from the CTXCAT index on a row-by-row basis ("does the row with rowid NNNN satisfy this CATSEARCH condition?"). That's known as a functional lookup, and is not supported by the CTXCAT indextype.
The only solution is to try to persuade the optimizer to use a different plan which does not use a functional lookup. This can be achieved by the use of hints, or sometimes by collecting or deleting statistics on the table.

  • The type of the database table and work area (or internal table)...

    Hello
I am trying to use a database and select all records from it and store them into an internal table.
    My code:
    Select * from xixi_dbcurrency into table gt_currency.
    The error:
    "The type of the database table and work area (or internal table) "GT_CURRENCY" are not Unicode-convertible . . . . . . . . . .     "
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you

    Hi Thomas,
Thank you for your inputs above.
But as you suggested is we use INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE then it resolve the error.
But I have below piece of code:
DATA:    it_new_source TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF _ty_s_sc_1,
                  wa_source TYPE _ty_s_sc_1,
                  wa_new_source TYPE _ty_s_sc_1,
                  ls_target_key TYPE t_target_key.
SELECT * INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_new_source
           FROM /bic/afao06pa100
           FOR ALL ENTRIES IN SOURCE_PACKAGE
           where /bic/fcckjobno = SOURCE_PACKAGE-/bic/fcckjobno
           and /bic/fcckjitid = SOURCE_PACKAGE-/bic/fcckjitid.
But since this is reading into corresponding fields of table the data load from one DSO to other DOS is running for long more that 15 hours and still not getting completed and giving dump.
So if I switch the search to below:
    SELECT * FROM /bic/afao06pa100
       INTO TABLE it_new_source
           FOR ALL ENTRIES IN SOURCE_PACKAGE
           where /bic/fcckjobno = SOURCE_PACKAGE-/bic/fcckjobno
           and /bic/fcckjitid = SOURCE_PACKAGE-/bic/fcckjitid.
Then I am getting below error:E:The type of the database table and work area (or internal table) "IT_NEW_SOURCE" are not Unicode convertible.
Can you please advice on this, as performance need to improve in start routine code.
    Thank You.

  • Ranch Billing, the excise condition type JMOD calculation is wrong

    Hi
I wish to know that in case of Branch Billing, the excise condition type calculation is wrong!!
I am surprised and unable to know how it could be?
In billing document display (T.code VF03) , Out of 3 Line items, Basic Excise Duty of 2 line items/ Materials were wrongly calculated.
i.e. In Item level Condition Overview---> the excise condition type JMOD --> details -->
    Amount                   10.000  %
    Cond.base value            79,077.85  INR
    Condition value             5,733.14  INR
                                                                                    Alt.calc.type   355
Ideally, It must be 7907.85 INR instead of 5733.14 INR wrong value.
Please help me to know the possible reason.
    Thanking you.
    PP

Check the condtion value in condition type UTXJ . If the JMOD value is 10% of UTXJ then assessable value should have been maintained for the Material and Plant combination in J1ID. This is due to Routine 351 maintined in pricing procedure for the condition type UTXJ
    check and confirm

  • Column calculations getting wrong will exporting report to excel

    Hi Experts,
we have a report on obiee 11.1.1.5.0 with following details
we have report with columns destination region, service , origin country and revenue
and report is created as follows
    Destination Region
Asia NorthAmerica Total(using selection steps included both country)
June July June July June July
    Origin
    Country
    India 25% 75% 50% 50% 37.5% 62.5%
    China 96% 4% 96% 4% 96% 4%
    Brazil 78% 22% 72% 28% 75% 25%
the logic i have used here is :- i have revenue and in pivot have applied SHOW DATA AS PERCENT OF LAYER(DESTINATION GEOGRAPHY)
till here everything is fine but when i export it to excel then i get this all values divided by 100 for eg:-
    Destination Region
Asia NorthAmerica Total(using selection steps included both country)
June July June July June July
    Origin
    Country
    India 0.25% 0.75% 0.50% 0.50% 0.375% 0.625%
    China 0.96% 0.4% 0.96% 0.4% 0.96% 0.4%
    Brazil 0.78% 0.22% 0.72% 0.28% 0.75% 0.25%
any suggestions how to get rid of this problem

But there are several empty lines under the text...........
I'm guessing that by that you mean space for several lines, not empty paragraphs. This could be caused by any number of things, but not allowing hyphenation, or hyphantion rules that are too restictive might cause ID to be unable to break a line which would cause it to go into overset, as would possibly some combinations of Keep Options if there is more than one paragraph in the cell or if there is not enough room to fite the entire paragraph and you are just one line short with keep options requiring at least two lines be kept together at the end, for example. Applying No Break to a sting too wide for the cell would do it too.

We've recently adopted BOBJ/Webi at my company and I find the software to be rather easy to use in some instances and mind-wreckingly hard in others. One roadblock myself and other users are bumping into is calculating work days. A definition of a work day in this instance would be Monday through Friday. The monkey wrench is that we would also like to subtract out holidays, such as July 4th and Thanksgiving. Then end product would be calculating out what work day the current date is and how many days it is out of so that a simple straight-line extrapolation can be made (Metric/Current Work Day)*Total Work Days. Also, what we invoice/ship is not accounted for until the following day... for example, today (2.22.10) would be the 15th workday in February out of 20 total work days.
Appreciate any and all help/assistance/counsel I can get on this.
    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,
If I have understood your question then I think following solution may help you.
Do you have your Universe created on the top of BW query or is it some other Database?
If it is some other database then create couple of Filter at Universe level: Such as Holidays so that you can use this one to subtract holidays:
    For Example:
    ucase(Calendar_year_lookup.Holiday_Flag)
    ucase(Calendar_year_lookup.Holiday_Flag) = 'Y'
Then you create another Dimension for Work days that would be between Monday to Friday.
Once they are created in Universe you export Universe.
Now create a formula where you would use month minus custom dimension workdays and minus holidays to get actual work days which would be from Monday to Friday and son on.
Basically we can achieve this by using filters and formulas.
    Wish you good luck.

  • Difference between work area and internal tables.

Hi  I wanna know the difference between work area and internal tables.
what happend if i give with out header line in internal table.
also how to assosiate work area to internal table in that scenario.

    Hi Balaji..
The internal table is an ABAP runtime object which has two parts the Body and the header.
Whereas a work area cannot have a body.. It is mere a field or group of fields which can hold values at runtime..
In the SAP higher versions mySAP ERP, the use of tables with header line is made obsolete.. But there is absolutely no problem with the same..
Just think that when you define an internal table with occurs or with header line statement, the system automatically creates a workarea with this table, using which you can access the contents in the bosy of tyhe table.. You can read a record from the table body to this header or add a record in the header to the internal table body..
When you work with a table ITAB without a header line, you can not use statements like READ TABLE, APPEND, INSERT etc without giving an explicit work area..
Suppose i have an internal table like:
DATA : itab TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF t001.
This table will not have a header with it.
If you will use APPEND itab. The compilor will give error.
Here i will create a work area with same structure of the table.
    DATA : e_wa TYPE t001.
    Now i will write:
    APPEND e_wa TO itab.
READ TABLE itab INTO e_wa WITH KEY xxxxxx
LOOP AT itab INTO e_wa...           etc..
In a better approach we use Field symbols with such tables, instead of structures
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_itab> TYPE t001.
    So,
    LOOP AT itab ASSIGNING <fs_itab>
READ TABLE itab ASSIGNING <fs_itab> etc.. However we can not use field symbols in few cases..
I hope this will help you..
    Thanks and Best Regards,

    Hi @datsky ,
It sounds like you might have accidentally turned on Sticky Keys while you were cleaning your keyboard, and now the keyboard is acting as if the Windows logo key is constantly pressed.
Use these steps to disable Sticky Keys:
    1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
    2. Click Ease of Access.
    3. Click Change how your keyboard works (or Make the keyboard easier to use).
    4. Remove the check mark from the box next to Turn on Sticky Keys.
The keyboard should work normally now. If not, the key might be physically stuck. Try pressing the Windows logo key a few times to see if it will come un-stuck.
Please click the thumbs up button to say "Thanks!"
Clicking "Accept as Solution" on a reply that solves your problem makes it easier for other people to find solutions.

  • Report Builder 3.0 Expression i am not able to make it work on Oracle DB Table

    Hi,
I am newbie to SSRS Report Builder 3.0 so please be patient with me. I am trying to create a report to query Remedy Ticketing System and it uses Oracle Database installed on a Unix OS...My end objective is to do some calculation on the ticket metrics (i.e.
percentage of tickets closed within SLA, etc) however i am stuck from the very beginning where i am not able to make my expression work...
To begin with. my query statement...
    Select Distinct TICKET_NUMBER, Assigned_Group, Category, REGION, TICKET_STATUS,EXCEEDED_SLA, TO_CHAR(date '1970-01-01' + (TICKET_CREATION_DATE/60/60/24), 'DD/MON/YYYY HH:MI:SS AM')TICKET_CREATION_DATE
    from ARADMIN.Request
    where (Assigned_Group like 'HOTS' OR Assigned_Group like 'PAID' OR Category like 'HVD%') and TICKET_CREATION_DATE > (TO_DATE('31/DEC/2014 11:59:59 PM','DD/MON/YYYY HH:MI:SS PM', 'NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE=AMERICAN') - DATE '1970-01-01')*60*60*24
    order by ticket_creation_date
the data type of the oracle table:
Here is the Query Result of the DataSet:
Basically Ticket_Status has values from 0 to 4 although from the screenshot above you only see 2 and 4...
    Ticket_Status 0 - Means Open Ticket
Ticket_Status 1 - Means Work In Progress Ticket
    Ticket_Status 2 - Means Pending Ticket
    Ticket_Status 3 - Means Awaiting Closure Ticket
    Ticket_Status 4 - Means Closed Ticket
I created a chart column using the expression below but it did not work...what i mean by it does not work is that the chart column output shows all Ticket_Status total count including 0, 1, 2, 3, & 4 (i.e. total count of tickets are 206)...using
the expression i was only expecting the total count for Ticket_Status 4  (i.e. 180 tickets) but i guess i am doing something wrong with the expression syntax...
    =Count(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4)
i also used the expression below but it did not work...
    =Count(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value="4")
i converted the Ticket_Status to CHAR on the dataset using the TO_CHAR(Ticket_Status) AS Ticket_Status then i tried the expression below but did not work...
    =Count(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value="4")
i tried again the expression below but did not work'
    =Count(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4)
i cannot proceed to the arithmetic calculation if i cannot filter my dataset with the correct value...again i am a newbie with SSRS & report builder and i would appreciate it very much if you can guide/help me :-)

    Hi Danny,
Per my understanding that you can't get the expect result by using the expression "=Count(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4) " to count the the TICKET_STATUS which value is 4, the result will returns the count of all the TICKET_STATUS values(206)
    but not 180, right?
I have tested on my local environment and can reproduce the issue, the issue caused by you are using the count() function in the incorrect way, please modify the expression as below and have a test:
    =COUNT(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4 ,1,Nothing))
    or
    =SUM(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS=4,1,0))
If you still have any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • Abap Logic for performance tuning not working when using Internal tables

    Hi,
I wrote this piece of code that is working correctly that is select SUM of cost from DSO where Plant is the same for Sales Items.
    LOOP AT RESULT_PACKAGE INTO rp.
    SELECT SUM( /N/S_STRDCOST ) FROM /N/ADSP_DPIT00 INTO
    rp-/N/S_STRDCOST
    WHERE /N42/S_SALESITEM = rp-/N42/S_ITEMID AND /N42/S_PLPLANT EQ
    rp-/N42/S_SOURCE.
    MODIFY RESULT_PACKAGE FROM rp.
    Clear rp.
    ENDLOOP.
Now I try to rewrite it for performance tunning using internal table  but I am getting 0 values. can't figure out whats the problem and been struggling fixing it.
    TYPES : begin of ty_DSO_TABLE,
             /N42/S_STRDCOST TYPE /N/ADSP_DSPC00-/N/S_STRDCOST,
             /N42/S_ITEMID TYPE /N/ADSP_DSPC00-/N/S_ITEMID,
           end of ty_DSO_TABLE.
DATA: it_DSO_TABLE type hashed table of ty_DSO_TABLE with unique key
    /N/S_ITEMID,
         wa_DSO_TABLE type ty_DSO_TABLE.
    Field-symbols:  <rp> TYPE tys_TG_1.
    LOOP AT RESULT_PACKAGE assigning <rp>.
      clear wa_DSO_TABLE.
Read table IT_DSO_TABLE into wa_DSO_TABLE with table key /N/S_ITEMID
      = <rp>-/N/S_ITEMID.
      if sy-subrc ne 0.
select SUM( /N/S_STRDCOST )  into CORRESPONDING
          FIELDS OF wa_DSO_TABLE from
          /N/ADSP_DPIT00 WHERE /N/S_SALESITEM =  <rp>-/N/S_ITEMID AND
          /N/S_PLPLANT EQ <rp>-/N/S_SOURCE.
         if sy-subrc eq 0.
              <rp>-/N/S_STRDCOST = wa_DSO_TABLE-/N/S_STRDCOST.
         endif.
    endif.
    ENDLOOP.
Any idea whats wrong with the code
    thanks

    Hi Vaidya,
According to the code which you have written, there is no value in table IT_DSO_TABLE when you are trying to read the values. And after the read statement you have given a condition for sy-subrc. Hence the select statement is actually not even getting executed. *Also you have not assigned the final value back to the ResultPackage.*_
So Kindly correct your code as follows:
    Data: wa_dso type ty_DSO_TABLE.
    LOOP AT RESULT_PACKAGE assigning <rp>.
    clear wa_DSO_TABLE.
select SUM( /N/S_STRDCOST ) into CORRESPONDING
    FIELDS OF wa_DSO_TABLE from
    /N/ADSP_DPIT00 WHERE /N/S_SALESITEM = <rp>-/N/S_ITEMID AND
    /N/S_PLPLANT EQ <rp>-/N/S_SOURCE.
    if sy-subrc eq 0.
    <rp>-/N/S_STRDCOST = wa_DSO_TABLE-/N/S_STRDCOST.
    MODIFY RESULT_PACKAGE FROM <rp>.
    endif.
    ENDLOOP.
    Hope this helps you.

    Satyam
