Dear Experts,
I am developing web (Client-Server) application.
The software i use is JRE1.4.2,JDK1.3 and Tomcat 4.1.27.
I have developed my own folder say "develop" under tomcat root's webapps folder.Inside "develop", i have WEB-INF folder and inside that "WEB-INF" folder i have one folder named "classes" (This is the foloder structure needed for working in Tomcat).
I have placed all my applet java files, the bean java files used by applets, html files and jsp files inside "develop" folder.(ofcouse class files also).
I placed the servelt files and bean files used by jsp and servelt files inside
develp\web-inf\classes folder.
I use the following code in jsp files to import the required bean java class files.

I have not created any packages.yes i have the plain structure.
The application works well these many months.
But now i tried the application with hottest jsdk1.4.2 version.
While running the application,it just says the following error in the jsp file at the line where i import the bean file
show_jsp.java:1: '.' expected
import myBean;
in the servlet file that comes by compiling the jsp file.
So, to fix the bug, i tried the following statement in my applet file(plz notice in applet and not in jsp file)
import aBean;
when compilig the applet , it shows the same error ". expected".
I know , when there is no package strucuture and all the required files in the same folder , there is no need to import the file.we can access the file without importing it explicitly.But to fix the error , i tried import the file.
Please tell me what could be wrong?
Should i have to set any class path?
I think , i am abt to complete the project.so I am unable to change t he code with packages.
While i am able to run the code in jdk1.3, what would be the plm in jdk1.4?
Please suggest me means.

"Importing" is oftenly mistaken. It does not mean, that the classes within that package are brought into memory or stuff like that.
Packages are simply a way to name classes. The package names are part of the classname, as you can see when you try and start Programs from command-line.
So importing every class in a package does not (like maybe in C/C++) bring that code "closer" to your code. It is just a hint for the VM where to look for class-files.
The VM does not find any class by itself, except
- The classes in java.lang
- The classes in "default package"
Where "default package" means classes that have no "package"-keyword in the code. (Of course these classes still need to be in the CLASSPATH in order to be found)
Because of that it is not necessary to import classes that have no "package"-keyword in the code, as long as they are in the CLASSPATH.
Although it has never been necessary, older versions of the jdk did mark it as an error. The only thing that has been changed in the new version (regarding this particular point) is that importing classes from "default package" (which is unnecessary) is marked as an error.
I am not the king of beaning, but I should be astounded if that part of the jdk was the only one to make a difference.
I really think it should be enough to comment the import-statements out of the code. Try it.

Then I tried to download and install them again but it kept saying the old itunes could not be removed.
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

To back up to your computer, right-click on the name of your iPad on the left side of iTunes and click Back Up. (If running iTunes 11, first go to View>Show Sidebar.)
To get your iPad to back up to iCloud again, try deleting your last backup (if you have one) by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, swipe across your backup and tap Delete, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on again. If it still won't back up, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.
If it still won't back up you may have network issues connecting to the iCloud server. Solutions to that include power-cycling your wireless router (unplugging it for 15 seconds, then plugging it back in), resetting network settings on your phone (in Settings>General>Reset), updating the firmware on your router, and changing the router's DNS settings to use Google's public DNS (see https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using).

Because ratings don't travel with the files or the playlist.
These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data. If you don't have any Apple devices then see HT2519 - Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.

I tried to copy my iPhoto library to a second external drive and now the pgm, running on an iBook with 10.5.8 does not open the original library on launching?

Hi Guys, I copied my iPhoto library to a second external disk. Now my version of iPhoto (5.0.4) does not display the original library on the orignal external drive. I have reinstalled the iPhoto and it seems to make 2 attempts to find the library but fails. The iPhoto menu bar is available but does not function. The screen is blank. Any help appreciated,

Are you indicating that you don't get this window when you hold down the Option key while launching iPhoto?
What do you mean by "nothing happens". What library opens when you launch iPhoto normally?

See if dbms_scheduler is running in the right time zone:
select dbms_scheduler.stime from dual;
Then try:
v_date := v_remind_date||'/'||to_char(dbms_scheduler.stime,'mm/yyyy')||' 10:00';
If dbms_scheduler.stime output is wrong use dbms_scheduler.set_scheduler_attribute('default_timezone', 'PST8PDT')
for example to change it.

You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPhone a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the "i" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPhone (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

Download Firefox4 but keep getting told I am only running 3.6. Why

You only mention downloading Firefox 4, just to confirm, did you run the setup file to install Firefox 4? You can also update to Firefox 4 by using the "Check for updates" option in the Help menu.
If Firefox 4 has been installed, there may be a preference that is overriding the version details.

ICloud runs with pc's, why not with my g4 PowerBook?, iCloud runs with pc's, why not with my g4 PowerBook?

I. Have several apple products and used me to sync them all. iCloud will not support my iMac g5, PowerBook g4 and iphone3. It will sync my intel iMac, iPad, ipad2 and iPhone 4s. Yet it will sync with pc,s?
Has anyone else seen this problem and come up with a workaround or alternative ?

ITunes running, but hidden. Why?

I have no idea what has happened to my iTunes. For years it's been fine, and it's completely updated and been working great. All of a sudden one day while it was running, it disappeared from view. It did not crash however, as my "Last.fm" scrobbling was still reading the songs it was playing. When I hit Control Alt Delete, iTunes.exe shows in my processes, but it does not show in my applications. My iPod hooks up to iTunes also, but it still does not show the actual program.
So, in short, my iTunes will open and run, but I can't see it no matter what I do. What should I do? Thanks for your help in advance.

This sounds like an odd one. It doesn't sound quite like the normal silent launch failure in which iTunes hangs at start up and shows up on the processes tab but not he application tab.
In that case iTunes doesn't function, but you say your itunes is actually running and doing stuff although you can't see it. Can you hear it playing a track? I wasn't clear if your iPod would sync.
Does you Qucitime work open and work normally?
Anyway as a first step try opening itunes in another account. Does it work there?

If iTunes works in another account, the first thing to try would be deleting the preference files, which is covered in the article.

Depreciation not run for single asset-Why

Hi Experts,
Could anybody advise me why I am unable to run depreciation of single asset,(AFAB and repeat run used)
However.I can ran depreciation of all assets of the company code(all are working fine),
So Please suggest me how can I run depreciation for a single asset (Any specific configuration?)
Note:-
When I am checking AW01N I found depreciation of a asset has been posted for period-15(spl period)
But for other asset -depreciation has not been posted for period-15(showing planned only and revaluation amount also showin in plan ,done through AB01)
So I am trying to post the depreciation for the period -15,
So that after depreciation posting revaluation amount also can go in posted amount(revaluation amount showing in plan only as depreciation has not been posted for the period-15)

Hi,
As per standard SAP, depreciation can be run at company code level and not at asset level.
If you just want to check the nature of posting, you can give a single asset and run in 'Test Run' mode.

Mail forgets passwords for acct's when iBook battery runs out . . . why?

Recently, the last couple times our iBook G4 battery runs out, certain settings disappear (clock resets, Mail acc't passwords gone . . .)
We have about 4 mail acc'ts with passwords that have somehow been forgotten by Mail (Keychain issue?) that seem to be related . . . any ideas on a way to find our Mail password pref's again?

URL only loads fully if firefox run as administrator! Why?

I have a URL that I want to view. The URL stopped working on my Vista based laptop but still works OK on my windows 7 based PC.
The URL is "http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=GBP&to=CHF&view=1M".
The bit that doesn't work is the display of the graph and I have previously discovered that this uses flash and Java.
Thinking that I had somehow mucked up my Firefox Installation I uninstalled and re-installed. Having previously saved and then restored by bookmarks and passwords (using Password Exporter Addon).
No other than default Addons apart from Password Exporter and Add Block.
I have discovered that if I start the newly installed Firefox normally the graph on the URL doesn't display, but if I run Firefox as an administrator the graph on the URL displays correctly.
I don't feel very happy about normally running Firefox as administrator!
Can anyone say what the cause of this is and/or give me an alternative and less drastic detour around the issues.

PS I suspect this is an issue that might require the attention of one of the Firefox developers.

That is a Flash player object, so make sure that you aren't blocking Flash.
If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.

You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
