Phone is stuck on the Red Battery.
I have a Iphone 4 today it had about a full charge next thing i know i look at my phone and it is showing me the Red Battery icon i have had the phone pluged into my comp. for over a hour and have tried holding down the home and lock button many times and for long periods of times. It just keeps showing me the red battr icon.

Battery does not charge from the USB power adapter
Important: Only original iPhone can be charged from a FireWire-based power source. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the battery may drain.
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
Try another USB cable if available.

I've tried upgrading my iPhone 4S using iTunes 12.01.26 on 4 different computers at home and at the office:
Macbook Air - OS X version 10.7.5
Macbook Pro - OS X Yosemite
2 PCs running Windows 7 Professional
iTunes downloaded the installer and the installation process seemed to get 90% complete before showing the error, "The iPhone, "iPhone" could not be updated. An unknown error occurred (6)."

How can I get it out of this mode?
I've tried holding the power button and home buttons down for ten seconds, then letting go of the power button, but keeping the home button down for another 10 seconds. I've also tried Reiboot, Wondershare Dr. Fone in desperation to try to get the phone out of this mode. Nothing seems to fix it.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.i do that but it keeps getting stuck on the 'preparing to restore i phone' screen for a few mins before coming up with 'unknown error 1603'.
Just doublechecking. Have you worked through the 1603-specific instructions from the following document?

my phone is stuck on the boot droid restarting itself when i try to turn it off it just restarts and sticks back on spinning red thing getting hot cant shut it off kept doing this until battery died
Oh goodness! That is not the state of mind that we want your phone to be in. I'm guessing you have already spoken with someone at a store or by phone by now. In case this happens in the future, you should reset the phone http://vz.to/1mdD3RJ.

my iPhone 4 was working fine then the battery died as it normally would and now iv tried to charge it and it will not charge all it shows on the screen is the red battery icon i left the phone to charge so it can turn on by its self for about 30-1 hr but still didn't come on, then i thought the problem was probably the charger so i switched chargers to a much newer one but still no sign of it coming on, what should i do?
Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears (10-15 seconds).

I have two Apple Ids. My first iphone was set with the icloud id that I don't use anymore.
I cannot delete that account because I cannot remember the password.
I tried to reset and the security questions come back incorrect, which they are not,
and when I ask for email reset, it won't send me the email.
I have a different appleID that I am now using, unfortunately my phone is stuck
on the old one.
I don't know what to do.No responds from apple support? I have the same issue too, apple CEO are there to count our money. Customer service are paid to do their dirty job, and yet they ignore us. They created this forum site just for us users to solve their problem.

There is no way out.
Restart the restore procedure and make sure you are connected to the wall power adapter and have Internet connection.
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
At the end it will ask whether you want to restore, choose iCloud backup. -

Apple has a D.O.A period. If something breaks within 14 days of purchase, it can be swapped for new.
So if it failed within 2 days of purchase, you should have had it swapped for a new one.
I would consider going to an Apple store instead, or contacting Apple online. -
Help, I let my battery go down completely, when I try to charge it the red battery flashing sign appears and then flicks off after a few seconds. I have tried a number of chargers and a docking station nothing works. Why won't it charge?
