Phonegap Build just for suscribers?

Hi!
I'm testing DW CC 2014 and when I try to use Phonegap Build it takes me to the download page, where it said that is only for suscribers.
I tryed to download it using the Creative Cloud, but nothing happened, neither error, nor message.
Is anyhow to test it on CC 2014?
Thanks.

I know... but, it isn't avalaible for download...

  • PhoneGap Build Settings for Android SDK

    On Mac 10.6.8, Dreamweaver CS6
I want to test the PhoneGap Build Service with the default  "Hey, it's PhoneGap" index.html page. Specifically, I want to run the resulting apk inside an Android emulator. In preparation for this, I have:
    1) Downloaded the Android SDK
    2) Run...
    android-sdk-macosx/tools/android sdk
         ... from a Terminal window
This launches the Android SDK Manager, which I have used to download
Android 2.2 (API 8 - Froyo) and all its associated files
    Android SDK Tools
    Android SDK Platform-tools
    Android Support Library
(I have also installed Eclipse, but I think that that is irrelevant for the current task)
    4) Run...
    android-sdk-macosx/tools/android avd
         ... from a Terminal window
This opens the Android Virtual Device Manager, which I have used to create a Virtual Device:
    Name Froyo
Target Android 2.2 (API level 8)
    Skin WVGA800
    Located at /Users/<username>/.android/avd/Froyo.avd
    This Dreamweaver Help page says:
Once you've installed the Android SDK, you'll need to start the Android SDK and AVD Managers, and select the Android tools you want to work with locally on your computer. Dreamweaver uses the information you select during this initial setup to populate the Android emulator settings in the PhoneGap Build Service panel. For more information on specifying these settings, see the Android documentation.
    (My emphasis)
I'm guessing that I've done the parts of these instructions in italics, but I get lost when I reach the part in bold. The window that opens when I select Site > PhoneGap Build Service > PhoneGap Build Settings asks me to "provide the root paths to the [Android] sdk". None of the paths that I have provide seem to satisfy the Emulate Application button in the Build Panel.
Question: What folder should I select as the root path to the SDK?
    Thanks in advance,
    James

All that's missing is to understand how to convince Dreamweaver CS6 to perform the same steps, rather than going through a Terminal application.
I haven't installed the Android SDK on my Mac. Dealing with Xcode was painful enough for me.
However, I do have the Android SDK installed on Windows. I installed it at the top level of my C drive in C:\dw-android. All that was necessary to register it in the PhoneGap Build Settings panel was to enter C:\dw-android in the SDK location field. As long as you have the correct path to the SDK, it should be the same on a Mac.
I used the PhoneGap Build Service panel to build the app, and then clicked the Download icon. Once it had downloaded, I selected the AVD and target version of Android, as shown in the following screen shot:
After clicking Launch, it started the emulator and displayed the app. I found it necessary to make sure the AVD and target both used the same version of Android. Otherwise, it just launched the emulator, but the app didn't load.

  • PhoneGap Build Extension for Dreamweaver 2014.1 is not working

    @adobeexchange
    Yeah bad news
There is an error message which tells me that the plugin is only working with the version 2014.0
If the source code for this extension would be available, i could update the extension for us.

    Hi Siegfried,
Dreamweaver’s direct integration with PhoneGap Build to package mobile applications is no longer supported in all versions. Ongoing changes to PhoneGap’s APIs, security measures, and feature set have been outpacing updates to Dreamweaver, and to give you the best experience when using PhoneGap Build, you continue to package mobile applications using the Adobe PhoneGap Build service in the Cloud.
    Thanks

Try defining a site and then create the mobile themed page within that site and DW will copy all the assets relative to the site path and will not be as its in your current page.

  • PhoneGap Build plugin always sets debugging which breaks Windows Phone XHR

I've traced a problem with XMLHttpRequest on PhoneGap for Windows Phone 8 to the debug setting on PhoneGap Build (turning it on causes XHR to silently fail). Unfortunately, the PhoneGap Build component for Dreamweaver always turns debugging on. It appears to take no ntoice of the ProjectSettings file that is created in the project folder (I have set "debug":false with no effect) and turning debugging off on the build.phonegap.com site also has no effect on the next build initiated by Dreamweaver.
The Dreamweaver PhoneGap component needs to be adjusted to take notice of the ProjectSettings for debug and to update these according to the actual settings on the web site. Alternatively, expose the debug setting in the PhoneGap build panel.
I have had to abandon DreamWeaver for Windows Phone builds altogether.

It's clearly not impossible, just different than you expect. Create your playlist as you want it to appear in the Current tab (meaning don't dump every single song from your library in there, just the ones you want) and then save the playlist.
Perre wrote:And if I try to play the m3u file created (the one with every song listed) through freevo I get a message that the directory is empty. What am I doing wrong??
Look at save_absolute_paths_in_playlists in your mpd.conf.

  • How to install PhoneGap Build for Dreamweaver CC 2014?

I originally posted this to the PhoneGap Build forum but it occurred to me that it is more of a Dreamweaver problem.
Creative Cloud helpfully installed the latest version of Dreamweaver for me (CC 2014). When I click on the PhoneGap Build Service menu item (under Site) I get a message that it is now an add-on I have to install. I eventually end up at this page - https://creative.adobe.com/addons/pro... with absolutely no clue on how to download or install it. The only useful-looking link on the page: 'Get this Add-on for CS6' just takes me around in a big circle back to this page. What am I missing? The troubleshooting tips under 'Where to find it' just say 'If you have followed the instructions shown...'. What instructions? Where?
    Helppparrrggghhhaccck!

The problem I have is that no button there is where 'download' and not be as to download this extension of the "phonegap".
I see that there are many people in the network with the same problem.
    Any comments are appreciated

  • Dreamweaver CS6 PhoneGap build with Camera support for Android Device

I am trying to build a simple app that triggers the camera in my Samsung N7000 device.
I have built the app using Dreamweaver CS6 using the builting phonegap build support.
I am using the Windows version of Dreamweaver CS6.
When the app is built it shows no errors but when the app is installed on the device it does not trigger  the camera.
I can not seem to get this very basic app to trigger the camera.
Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

  • Phonegap build extension not available for dreamweaver cc trial

Trying to package up my application for android and ios and hit the problem of phonegap build service.
When on the addon page of Adobe, the link for phonegap build says "Free with subscription", therefore have to pay.
Yet everywhere on websites say that the addon is free for dreamweaver cc trial.
    Any help?

    still not available without subscription

  • Creative Cloud account for Phonegap Build

I want to upgrade my phonegap build account however a standard phonegap build paid account will give me a maximum size of 100Mb while a creative cloud account permits up to 1Gb. When I look into creative cloud accounts there are no further mentions of phonegap build so it is unclear what sort of account I require. As I already have licensed versions of Photoshop and Illustrator I have no need of additional software yet when I select "Single App" Phonegap Build isn't available. Since I don't seem to be able to email adobe support I wonder if I can get some advice on what type of creative cloud is the minimum I can get if all I require is phonegap build?
    Thanks

  • How can I sign an app made with PhoneGap Build?

    HI,
I have set up the PhoneGap Build service and created an account so I can make an app and upload it to my mobile phone.
Now I have reached the point where I would like to sign it and upload it to Google Play.
I have a developer account and I have filled in all data, made screenshots and icons and description for the app etc.
When I try to upload it to Google play it says "Upload failed..." and that I need to disable debugging.
I have tried to find information about how to do this and I have installed the SDK packet and even successfully set up the path in the Settings for PhoneGap Build without any protests..
    Now what?
I have read trhe documentation on how to make a private key with keytool using the cmd in windows an the key has been uploaded to my account on the phonegap build site.
Now according to the doc in phonegap build this key should be used signing the app that I made in dreamweaver. So I recreated the app in Dreamweaver and downloaded it and then tried to upload it on Google Play.
Still the same problem that the app is in debug mode. This means that phone gap build is not doing it's job as it should or maybe that my key is not working.
So my question first is, how can I see if the key is properly generated with keytool?
My next step is to manually sign the app.apk file with the jarsigner tool so I tried to do this accordingly to the sample in the android documentation.
This a screenshot of my attempt and the error-message in the command line:
It feels like I have done everything by the book but still my app is not signed and not valid to upload to Google Play for public download.
Please give me some assistance in how to create this last little but so hard step.
    Thanks!
    Micke

    I got it solved...
If anyone else has done the same mistake as I did then have a look here.
You just have to create the key with keytool using the command line (cmd.exe)
Here is the guide how to do it (scroll down to "1. Obtain a suitable private key")
Use the example, it works fine.
Then upload it to your PhoneGap Build account by logging in to build.phonegap.com
Then under your account settings upload the yourkey.keystore file and unlock it.
Then under Apps click your uploaded App title to come into the details of the app.
Then (and this is what I missed and therefore didn't get it signed and released) choose the key you uploaded from the fold down menu at the right hanbd of the android logo
Then click Rebuild and when it's done rebuilding you simply download it and it will have a YourApp-release added to the file name and you're set!
Pheeeww this was a horrifying experience and yet so simple solution... strange noone else has experienced this before me.
At the end I have to really salute Dreamweaver who has made such a great tool to easily make your own apps.

  • Dreamweaver 6/PhoneGap Build Service Android Key Question

I just recently upgraded to CS6 and am excited to use the mobile sutff. I have been a CFer for years and using Jquery for a long time and have been using JQM more and more. Now I want to evolve from a web developer into an app developer. I thought the cool integrations within DW6 would be a good way to start.
So I watched Greg Rewis' intro video to get a flavor of things. I set up my first app site. I then created a simple JQM page to test with. I then downloaded the Android SDK (which is what I am starting with, but plan on branching out to the other OS'). I created an AVD, created a keystore and all that. I then went through the process of attaching my keystore to my PhoneGap Build Service account. That all went well, although it did not ask me to make it the default and I am assuming that is because it is the only key at this point...just a note for copywriters.
I then went back to DW to go through the PhoneGap Build Service panel to create my first app to play with. Here si where I ran into an issue. The PhoneGap Build Service panel asks for a key under the Android section (which I expected), but when I clicked on the drop down where it said none, that is all that was there. The key I uploaded to my PhoneGap Build Service account was not listed. I even logged out and logged back in, shut down DW and reopened it and nothing I did caused it to display. Can someone please point me in the right direction? If I can get this last piece of the puzzle, I can begin cranking through some code.
    Thanks in advance,
    Clay

As long as you are signing into the same account in DW as you are on the PhoneGap Build website, any keystores you uploaded would be available inside of Dreamweaver.
Highly recommending posting on the PhoneGap Build community site, where you'll get better answers regarding the functionality of the PhoneGap Build website and keystores: http://community.phonegap.com/nitobi/products/nitobi_phonegap_build

  • Where did Phonegap Build panel go?

    Hello,
I just installed the latest Dreamweaver CC and noticed the Phonegap Build option is completely missing from the Site Menu
    Where did it go?
    Thanks,
    John

    1. Open the Creative Cloud Desktop App
    2. Click the Apps tab
    3. Scroll down to the blue Filters & Versions link
    4. Choose Previous Versions
    5. The Install buttons will now all have arrows on them, click Dreamweaver's
    6. Choose the version you want
I haven't upgraded to CC 2014.1, and don't plan to for a little while, so I'm not 100% that CC 2014 will be its own version, but it would be there if it is.

  • Captivate 7, PhoneGap Builder on Android and iOS tablets

    Hello all,
I apologize if some of these questions are basic but searching the forums and online aren't turning up any answers I can discern. My company has decided to move into the mobile market for our E-Learning content, more specifically we want our customers to be able to use our content on tablet devices. I'm creating content with Adobe Captivate 7 using HTML5 animations. I have been able to publish my project as HTML5 and then use the PhoneGap Build tool to add the HTML5 animations to the project. However, I have no experience in app development and I'm running into a roadblock when trying to publish as Android and iOS compatible apps. I'm able to add the .wgz file to the android tablet but I have no idea how to run it or make it work. We just want our projects to play on Android and iOS tablets. My questions are thus:
    - Is publishing our modules in App form the only way to accomplish this?
    - When trying to publish to Android/iOS I am asked for a "Package". What does this mean? I've watched the following tutorial: Package the HTML5 content for devices using Adobe Captivate 7 App Packager - YouTube but it doesn't go into detail as to what he package is.
    - From what I understand Android and iOS apps need certificates and signatures. Are these required for our members to be able to download our modules and run them on their tablets? Can someone direct me to a source for me to learn about and apply for these credentials?
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
    - Nick

Just to clear up my third question, I'm not asking whether our customers will need a set of these credentials to access our content, I'm asking if its required I get these credentials to publish the content.

  • Phonegap Build, with Hydration Enabled, Breaks the PGB Integration

    Hi,
I have a PGB App that I have built in DW CS6 completely. I think I have found a bug in the PGB integration.
The integration works fine with I have am using PGB without "hydration" enabled. As soon as I do enable hydration, and rebuild my app, after the build completes, the Android and Symbian links and QR codes DO NOT refresh/come unlocked.
It makes it hard as I am unable to easily download and start the Android virtual device and test in the emulator.
Here is a link to the PGB forums where I posted originally (this started after the last DW update):
    http://community.phonegap.com/nitobi/topics/dreamweaver_now_cant_build_after_todays_update _please_help
I made two video replicating the problem. You need to watch both to see it in action:
    Thanks,

    Hi, mbuchetics-
While I can't necessarily comment on features in progress, I can say that you should already be able to use Edge Inspect with Google Chrome to be able to view files locally.  Are you looking specifically for integration with PhoneGap Build or just some way to see what it looks like on your devices without having to slap it up on a webserver?

  • PhoneGap Build Cloud Configuration

    Hi All,
    I can see http://localhost/etc/cloudservices/phonegap-build.html
there are some configuration options, and I have set my userid and password, and it says it is enabled.
How do I now use it ?
Is there an option to say "build a phonegap version" of this site , whereby it conveniently creates a zip file with all html and css and posts it to build.phonegap.com so I can just download my .apk file ?

    Hi Carey,
after updating Dreamweaver I solved the issue of the message but I have some other issues. After logging in to build my app I receive this usual message:
So I'm gonna click on "Continue":
This pane is quite different from the previous version (with all the QR platform codes) and is quite confusing for me. The "Continue" botton is active and that means (logically) I'm not obliged to fill the prevous fields. But when I click on it (and after a long time) I receive this message:
So this means there are some troubles on your side not on mine... But if I click the button I'm coming back to this pane:
Here the "Continue" botton is not active and this is a non-sense for me. I have to restart DW to "Try again" (and wait for an other long time). I tried to read the docs pages about the procedures on the phonegap build site but I did not find the way to solve this problem.
    My questions are:
    1. Have I to log into Phonegapbuild site and associate the keys-pass-files for iOS, Android and BB, BEFORE launching Dreamweaver?
    2. Am I obliged to fill all the forms or I can fill only the Android one (for example)?
    3. Is there a place I can easily understand (please don't let me jump to the developer Android page because I did not understand anything) how can I generate the key signing passwords and certificates from a Mac?
    4. Last and maybe funny consideration: the Apple Logo seems to be cut on the botton (on my DW copy :-)
    UPDATE:
After some attempts I got my app zipping the folder (realized with DW) and uploading it from the Phonegapbuild account. I still have troubles to do the same starting from DW.
