Photo quality may be too low to print???? how to fix this

I made a new photo album. a yellow error sign appears in the corner of each photo and says, Photo quality may be too low to print. how can i fix this. THANK YOU

I had the same concerns when I started making my calendars on iPhoto but I went ahead anyway. Unless you are an absolute stickler for perfect photos (i.e., no grain, top quality, etc.) your photos will print just fine even though you get the yellow warning sign. Now, if you can hardly see the photo on your computer, or it's like really badly out of focus, etc., you, of course, not be pleased because WYSIWYG. I've scanned photos in and put them in iPhoto -- and these were very important to me and my family. I added them to the calendars and I was very pleased with the final products. I've probably made 20 calendars and each one has had at least 3 or 4 of the scanned in photos.
Use common sense and if it looks really bad to you, don't use it. If the photo is acceptable to you, it will probably print out just fine.
Good luck - I LOVE these calendars - they make FANTASTIC Christmas gifts.

  • HT4858 Photos stopped uploading to Photo Stream on PC in September 2013.  How to fix this?

I have no where near reached limits.  Under 1000 photos.  The photo stream works OK on my iPad and iPhone, but has stopped uploading to my PC.  It worked fine until sometime in September of this year.  All the settings are correct according to other help articles I have read.  Does anybody have any ideas how to troubleshoot this problem and get it to work again.  Thanks.

Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, even though your last 1000 photos will remain on your iOS devices until deleted.  When you turn photo stream off then back on you will only receive photos from the last 30 days as older photos are no longer there.
If you want to stream older photos to your computer, you'll have to add them to a shared photo stream and invite yourself as a subscriber, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99.  Or, you could use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your PC over your wifi.

  • Your Foxfire profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible. How to fix this please? Freshly downloaded Foxfire returns this message instead of opening. Thank you

"Your Foxfire profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible"
This is the third time I have downloaded Foxfire. Each time I get this message, I uninstall and start over.
First two times it opened once, then gave this message.
when I uninstalled and re-loaded today, it wouldn't even open once. What does it mean?

Thanks for reply.. I did look at that page. the message I received is not listed there.
Oh! and I tried to start Foxfire in the safe mode - got the same message.
appreciate your expertise and time. Mary S

You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash#Troubleshooting
    *http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-113-crash-mozilla.html
Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    *https://hacks.mozilla.org/2010/09/hardware-acceleration/
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

  • Upgrading library taking way too long (almost 24hours), how to fix this?

    Hi all!
Yesterday I upgrade aperture to 3.3, and after launching it for the first time after the upgrade, the app tried to upgrade also my library (around 50GBs). However, I started doing it yesterday, I let my macbook "working" during the whole night, and it is still on the 7th step (out of 7), at 99%. According to Activity Monitor, the app didn't crash and it is consuming >80% of CPU
Is this normal? I don't think so..., what can I do to fix this? I have time machine backups just in case.
    Thanks

Hi Gil - sounds like it did the upgrade but didn't exit the process. So, quit the app. Then launch while holding the Command + Option keys down. Choose Repair in the dialog and hit okay. Let the process continue and into upgrading. Try that and post back how that goes.

  • HT201317 Some photos go to Photo Stream and some go to Camera Roll.  How to fix this so that all go to Photo Stream when I take pics?

Sometimes when I take pics on my iPhone 4s the some of the pics go to the Photo Stream while others go to the Camera Roll.  Why do they not all go to the camera roll?  How to fix this?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
All photos taken on the phone go to the camera roll. If photostream is enabled they should also go to photostream in addition to photos added from other devices. Photos added to photostream from other devices will not be added to the camera roll on your phone (unless you move them manually.
Photos taken on the phone should be added to camera roll immediately, it may take a few moments before they appear in photostream, while they are sent from the camera roll to the cloud and back again to photostream.
If photos aren't being added to photostream there may be a couple of reasons:
Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
    If the problem persists:
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

  • Scanning in both HP Officejet 7210 and Samsung printer - the document scans but no file is generated - any ideas how to fix this?  (It worked fine before installing Mavericks)

Scanning in both HP Officejet 7210 and Samsung printer - the document scans but no file is generated - any ideas how to fix this?  (It worked fine before installing Mavericks)

PS: forgot to mention: if your printer is on your wifi network, you'll have to enter your wifi password on the printer to connect it to the network before Printers & Scanners will see it.
Sometimes a reset of the wifi system is needed too. A full set of directions would be:
    Try:
uninstall all printer manufacturer apps and "utilities"
go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Print
control-click on your printer in the column on the left
select "Reset Printing System..." and "reset" in the dialog that follows
do a factory reset on your printer. You'll have to consult the printer manual for how.
power down everything: modem, router, computer, and printer
power up each item in turn in the same order: modem, router, computer, and printer. Let each power up completely before moving on to the next
enter your wifi password in your printer so it can connect to the network
go back to printers & scanners and it should see your printer and download a driver for it from Apple
resist the temptation to install any printer manufacturer apps in the future.

  • Printing on Firefox is not working properly. prints only on the upper left of the page going through the printer! How to fix this???

printing should come out on the entire page I am trying to print on but it is not. What should be printed on one page is broken into four or five pieces and printed on multiple pages, wasting paper and the font is really small. No idea how to fix this or any formatting problem in MOZILLA.

  • I don't know what I did, but Aperture no longer sees my HD as online, and I can't get my photo versions since the HD is not online. I see it in Finder, but Aperture no longer recognizes it. Does someone know how to fix this?

I don't know what I did, but Aperture no longer sees my HD as online, and I can't get my photo versions since the HD is not online. I see it in Finder and can see the original files and even copy them from Finder, but Aperture no longer recognizes the HD, and when I try to work with the picture, it doesn't let me because it says that the master is in a volume that's offline. Does someone know how to fix this?

    Just to clarify:
Does Aperture not see the drive at all (that is, does Aperture also not see the drive in the import and export dialogue) or are only the Master Files disconnected?
If Aperture does not recognize the drive at all, check the permission settings of the drive in the "Get Info" panel and make sure you have read/write access, also the "Ignore ownership on this volumn" checkmark, this should be set.
If correcting the permissions does not help, make sure you have a backup, and then use "Disk Utility" to run a check and to repair the volumn, if necessary.
If Aperture can see the drive on import and export, but only does not see the master image files, then try to reconnect your masters.
Create a smart album or use a Search with the rule: "File status: offline", to select all images that need reconnecting to their masters.
Right click on the first image of the selection.
From the Pop-up window select "Locate referenced Files..."
Now the "Reconnect All" button should appear.
    Click it.

Yes, the printer is on, it’s selected in Printer Set-Up & I’ve never had this problem before. It’s definitely a Photoshop issue as every other type of file prints fine. I’ve uninstalled Pshop & am now reinstalling. Hope that will do the trick.
