Photoshop CC stopped recognizing my video card. Photoshop CC(64) still recognizes it properly. Video card driver is up to date.

ON or about January 15th my Photoshop CC (original) which I use because it works with many of my older filters was working properly. Several days later it refused to recognize my video card and my performance plummeted. ( It has the performance tab greyed out. )
It keeps popping up a message saying I am out of VRAM. Then when I try using filters like Liquify I get his message.
When I use Photoshop 64bit it correctly finds and uses my video card
How do I make Photoshop CC correctly find my video card?

First, try updating your video card driver from NVidia's website.

1) Your post is very insulting. You could have told me that deleting your credit card did not work. You did not have to insult me.
2) Unless apple changed their requirements, you can Zero out your credit card information - after it has cleared your account and been removed. However I don not work for Apple and if they changed that requirement they would not have told that to me.
3) I have given you a perfectly working alternative that does work. If you refuse to believe me, that is your issue. I don't have to take your insults and you have no right to insult me.

If the flash drive was dead then it would not work at all, your iMac just no longer recognizes it after it was improperly removed.
First thing to do is restart the iMac and then see if it shows up.
If not then reset the iMac's SMC exactly as instructed in the following link and then try the flash drive again. > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1543

Laptop stopped recognizing the battery

Hi
Few days ago, I performed an update to the Lenovo managing tools on my ThinkPad 301. It identifies a few un-updated drivers, include the BIOS version and I accepted its recommendation for upgrade. From that point, the laptop stopped recognizing the battery.
The battery itself still there, it's full and it can be recognized by other programs, but the Lenovo managing tool insists on turning the laptop down the moment I unplug it from electricity. Uninstalling the Lenovo power managing tool did not make any change.
How can I revise the process so I can use the battery again?

Update to problem:
Plugged in a 65W power supply that was on a 6930p. Charged up no problems. Plugged my 90W adapter into the 6930p and it kept that system powered up. Plugged the 90W into the 8440p, nothing. If I purchase a new PS, this will be the 5th one in a year. Two were generic and two were HP. To me, it indicates a bigger problem with the system board.

I was using an external hard drive to store video with my MAC. I absent mindedly connected the external drive to a Windows PC and now my mac will not recognize the video files.

Get photoshop has stopped working error on Launch on my Win 8 pc

About two weeks ago I downloaded Adobe CC for students, my problem is that photshop is not working. When I start the program i get the following message:"photoshop has stopped working and needs to be closed, windows will tell you if there is any solution in the future" I have tried to re-install it twice, and I just updated the program.

Does this happen only with Photoshop CC or with other Adobe apps like InDesign CC & Illustrator CC?
What version of PS CC do you use?
Try updating to Win 8.1 and that should install all the required windows updates and then check the same.
You still want to install the video card driver from the manufacturer website, as already suggested by Chris, to be double sure that you have the right GPU drivers installed.
In case your PS still crash, check Event Viewer for the Faulty Module and let us know.

Look for "Error" in red color and check the Application name and faulty module.

Photoshop CS6 stopped working while exporting images via imageprocessor! [PC]

As the title says, my Photoshop cs6 64bit allways stops working and freezes when i attempt to export several opened documents via the imageprocessor.
I try to export them as JPEG, qualitiy 12.

so it looks like there was a porblem with MSVCR100.dll ... What is it?

Thanks for your responce, i will try that but i think nvidia is on newest driver..
It would be intresting to know what this MSVCR100.dll is doing, i have seen problems in Games like Battlefield and Fallout..
I will now try to disable the GPU acceleration in PHS..

'Photoshop has stopped working' (branched)

I am working with a new system running win 7 pro with all the latest updates. I just purchased CS5.5 Web Premium and installed it. DW and AI are working but I cannot get PS to stay up long enough to do anything at all before I get the "Photoshop has stopped working ... " message as described here for ID. It sound very much like the same bug. I have both the 64bit and the 32 bit versions and they both behave exactly the same.

Well it could be the same problem. In my case I now believe it was the nVidia driver, but went through hell getting it fixed. In the process of updating all my system drivers I flashed the mobo BIOS and although that worked Win 7 decided it now had some new ideas about booting into a diff version of Windows. Got that fixed by disconnecting the SATA cables from 3 other drives so Windows would see the right one and doing Win 7 repair. Then I uninstalled the nVidia and reinstalled (same version - I had upgraded this right away when I had problems!), but the last time I noticed a check box to do a clean install. I checked for clean and after the driver reinstalled my Photoshop CS5.1 now appears to run perfectly
Sorry I got into the ID pile. A search on the problem put me here initially. But just in case you have nVidia display cards, make sure you find that clean install check or it will keep whatever is the problem when you reinstall those drivers.

If you're on windows,open your device manager ,check under video cards ,if you have 2 cards ,deactivate one of them ( integrated one ,normally intel ).

How do I capture good stills from video on Photoshop Elements 8?

I'm using Photoshop Elements 8. When I try to capture still photos from video clips, the results are not very satisfactory. Usually the stills are very unclear, not sharp like I want them to be. I have to make many attempts to capture a still before I can get one that's halfway clear.   Does it have to be this way?   What can I do to get consistently clear stills from video? Thank you!

Frame from Video is more or less a legacy feature in PSE 8. It was meant to capture a frame or two from a short homemade video at a low resolution. It doesn't do HD video at all, and isn't meant for a clip that's more than a minute or so in length. It's been dropped from the latest version because nobody has those kinds of movies anymore.
So the bottom line is you're better off doing this with some other program than with PSE.

For the problem that the issue is not happening on a different Account, Adobe does have a KB trying to save your orriginal account:

Folowing these steps should actually result in either that you are able to work on your original Account, or that you at least did everything possible (according to Adobe) to save your account.
You should not be required to use a Second Email for using Photoshop, This does not make much sense, Your AdobeID and OS Account are (or at least should) not (be) linked to eachother.
Hopefully this will help you to work with the original Account again.

How to create a mask on individual frames of a video in Photoshop CS5 extended

I am working on a video piece and I need to mask out a moving figure throughout the entire video, what is the best way to to this? I know that I can import the video frames to layers in CS3 and then create a mask on each frame, but there are thousands of frames - and when I render the video from the animation it is slow to run in quicktime. Even if I were able to edit each frame, it seems like there should be a better way... I'm not terribly familiar with using Photoshop to edit video, maybe there is another program that would do what I want in a better way?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This sounds like something Adobe Edge would be perfect for if it would just support video importing.
I created a mask over a video in Flash, but I had to convert the background video (which is masked) from mov to flv. Then you import it into Flash and stick the transparent PNG on a top layer for a mask. You can also animate the mask in Flash somewhat... more so if it's a vector object.

I would prefer to do this in HTML5 though... which is what Adobe Edge is for. But I can't figure out how to import video into Edge. I've tried 5 different video formats... webm, ogv, mp4, mov and flv.
Hoping this will be a feature when it's finally out in the market.

Photoshop CC stopped recognizing my video card. Photoshop CC(64) still recognizes it properly. Video card driver is up to date.
