Photoshop Help Video - Can't Locate Katrin Eismann Blending Modes Video

I bookmarked a Katrin Eismann video on blending modes on May 7, 2010. I am trying to locate that video now, so far without success.
Here's the former link: http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/video_workshop/?id=vid0012
As I recall, she showed a great example of how to isolate just a portion of a night time scene. As best I recall, the trees were colorful while everything else was black and white.
I have been hunting for a while without success. I believe it used to be associated with the help file. In fact it still is. If you search on Adobe's help for "blending modes" your first link is likely:
Photoshop Help | Blending modes
And as you work your way though the discussion, you find this:
These examples show the result of painting part of the image’s face using each blending mode.
For a video on blending modes, see www.adobe.com/go/vid0012.
Does anyone know how I can locate this video?

This same non-existent link is still listed on various Adobe web pages, but alas, the page with the video no longer exists. This is obviously an error on the part of the (huge) Adobe website.
The best thing to do is to submit a bug report, and hope they fix it:

  • ITunes has gone apesh*t! Please help! (can't locate files)

    Good day!
I recently installed iTunes 7 (a few weeks ago, I guess.) For the most part, it has been working fine. But tonight, when I opened iTunes, it asked questions as if it had just been installed for the first time.
Now, all my music is stored on an external hard drive (J: Drive), and it defaulted that it was in my "My Music" folder in "My Documents", so I fixed that, and that didn't solve my problem: It can't locate any of my songs. (Here's the weird part, it can play the handful of MPEG files I have, but not the 99% AAC files. Both types are on the external hard drive). It lists them, but can't locate them, and i don't want to tell it the exact location of almost 5000 songs.
I tweaked a bit with my "iTunes Library" music database file, but that didn't help. Does the XML file ("iTunes Music Library") have any purpose?
    Help me out!

    I'm having the same problem.
iTunes lost about 100+ of my songs. I can manually go through and fix them but I'd rather not go through each one and track it down. I can see what's wrong in the library xml file but fixing them there doesn't do anything.
I tried recreating my library files and iTunes completely lost the songs along with several podcasts and all my playlists. Thankfully I'd backed up the library files before trying this, so I'm back where I started.
The date sounds about right, was that when the update before 7.5 came out? I also noticed that iTunes had reset my library location around that time(caught it and fixed it though).

  • PLEASE help, I can't get the sound on the videos on my iPod to work!

I converted them and everything because they werent in the proper format, but now when I try to play them on my iPod there's a fine picture but no sound! Somebody please help me!

Quicktime, Quicktime Pro and iTunes don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.
See:iPod plays video but not audio.
You need a 3rd party converter to convert the file with both audio and video.

  • I can't set a layer blend mode to "Screen"

Hello, I'm new to Photoshop as of an hour ago (I've been using GIMP for 2 years).
I have a layer selected and I want to set the blend mode to "screen". However, the screen mode as well as several others are greyed out and won't let me select them. I'm using Windows 8 Home Premium 64 bit, and Photoshop CS6 Extended (Trial) 64 bit. I'm intending to get Adobe Creative Cloud tomorrow, but is the reason for this that I'm using the trial version? If not, what am I doing wrong? There is a screenshot below to show what I am talking about. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Took me a few second to figure out whats wrong. But the answer is, you're in the 32 bit mode. Changing the mode to 16 or 8 { (Image>Mode>8Bits/Channel) or (Image>Mode>16Bits/Channel) } will make it available.

      Windows XP   video ipod 30G

You have to convert your videos to a higher resolution: Choose 640x480 (VGA) instead of the standard 320x240 (1/4 VGA): It will look much sharper and it will play also on your iPod's display.
But you will have to re-convert all your videos again.

  • Help! can't locate site files

This isn't a Dreamweaver question per se, and I feel a bit
dumb even posting this question, but here goes:
Some friends would like for me to update their web site as
their former web master deserted them. I've been given login info
and created a site and was able to access with no problem in
Dreamweaver. The problem being that none of the html files reside
in the folder. How is that possible? I've checked the source, and
have determined everything was created in Image Ready. Here is the
    web address - www.thehahasisterhood.com
    Please help!

What do you see when you connect to the remote site in DW?

  • Help! Can't overclock E4300 w/"pad mod" on G965M-FI!

Well, it looks like I have the same problem with the G965M-FI as those with the 965 Neo and Platinum.
According to the sticky post "About MSI 965 Neo and Platinum: FACTS", I have the same problem.  I tried the pin mod (or pad mod) where BSEL1 is connected to VSS thinking this should work on any motherboard.  No luck, 200x9 every time.  Finally, I got the bright idea to try clearing CMOS.  Once I did that, it booted up with this message:
    4300 @ 1.80GHz ,Speed: 267x9
A 200MHz system bus processor is installed. This processor is not supported on this system board, and will run at reduced processor clock speed. System performance will be impacted.
Do you wish to continue to boot at 267MHz system bus and reduced processor speed? (Y/N)
Press Y to continue or press N to shutdown.
Is there any way around this?  Any hack?  Any BIOS mod?  I'm guessing not because it would have been in the sticky...
Ok, so assuming the answer to all my questions above is NO, the 2nd motherboard I was considering was an MSI 945GM3.  Does that motherboard support the pad mod?

Wow, from all the replies I am getting, I guess this card is an excellent overclocker.....

You can't locate a phone which is off because it needs to be able to transmit its location data to the network, and it has to be on to do that (and able to connect to a network).

I agree with Mylenium. Premiere Elements would be a better program for the post-production.
As for shooting, I would use a background, as those wall plates/outlets really draw the eye. A nice piece of dark grey, non-glossy fabric, like perhaps a velvet, could be taped over the wall, behind your subject. If possible, move the subject a bit farther from any background.
Do not be afraid of composing the subject more tightly, so that one sees more of them, and less background. Even with a "talking head" shot, you can get much tighter with the framing.
I would also go for a bit more controlled lighting on your subject. Even placing a white card, or sheet to one side, just to fill in the face, would be better. Just keep it out of the coverage of the camera. A piece of foamcore, or Gator-foam, would work well. Angle it to fill that side of the subject's face.
The audio was recorded in a fairly "hard," or "live" environment. If the mic is camera-mounted, think about hanging some soft fabric, in a V, behind the camera and operator. The camera would be in the apex of the V. A few quilts would work fine. That should help remove the slight echo of the room, and "soften" the sound a bit.
Good luck, and hope those ideas help.
