Photoshop window does not display unless connected to external monitor

I use a MBP connected it to an Apple Cinema Display used as an external monitor (not a dual display) when in my studio.
When I use Adobe Photoshop CS 5 without the monitor the image window does not display on the MBP. If I plug the external monitor in, the window is displayed correctly on the MBP. Photoshop is opening and "displaying" the image window offscreen. Nothing gets it back onscreen, except plugging in the external monitor.
I often use Photoshop away from my studio so this is a big problem. PShop is essentially unusable unless connected to an external monitor.
Is this a known issue?
Any workarounds?
Any ideas?
There is a previous discussion on this topic from January 2012, but it remains open and unanswered. Hoping there are some new ideas. Thanks for the help.

The MacOS still thinks the second display is available and valid -- so Photoshop puts the documents on the last used display and the OS doesn't give any errors.
Once the OS notices the change in display configuration, Photoshop should go back to the main display and force images and dialogs back to the main display.
Applications rely on the OS for the display configuration, and sometimes the OS gets confused or holds onto outdated configurations a bit too long...

Main Viewer Window does not display correctly

Ever since I upgraded to Aperture 3.3 through 3.4.1, the main viewer window does not display correctly. Everything is justified to the right of the screen. When viewing images, the are not in teh center, they are over to the right. I can't even see the import controls when trying to import... actually I can't even press the import button or add metada. I am really in a bad position here. Need help with this... anyone out there have a solution please? my clients are waiting for their photos. Yikes!

Siri window does not display and app was destroyed with latest 6.1 update

This happened right after the last update to 6.1. Press the button and hold it. You get a beep but no SIRI window. Otherwise it will do as you tell it to.
There are numerous other bugs. Go into Purchased apps. Cannot select an app on the second row left, second one down from the top. eith the one above it displays or the one below it.
The update also destroyed an expense tracking app, Pocket expense which had a substantial amount of data in it. Press on the app icon and it flasehes and does not run.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
If neither of these work you may have to restore your ipad via iTunes on your computer.

Home window does not display properly

When I first sign on to Firefox, the home window (Google) is displayed too far to the right of the screen to use. The only fix I have found for this is to slightly re-align the screen by moving the tab in the bottom right corner. This alignment problem is not critical, but is irritating since the screen must be re-aligned for each signon.

QuickWatch windows does not display Value and Type.

The quick watch window is only displaying Name (screenshot below). It is not displaying Type
and Value fields. I tried "Reset All Settings", repair, uninstall/install but the issue is not resolved. I will appreciate any help.

Could you share us a sample? So we could debug the same app in our side, please also tell us the VS version in your side.
For example, just a simple console app with a variable "int i"， I could get it in my VS2013 version like the following screen shot. So if you debug a simple sample as mine, how about the result? If it works well, I doubt that it would be related
to the specific variable of your app.

Print Preview in Safari for Windows does not display Flash object

I have a web page with images, text and a flash movie in several divs. I can see all the objects on the page but when I print preview the flash object is not displayed. The same problem occurs in Firefox 3 but not in IE6/7 or Opera9.5
Any clues/help would be greatly appreciated.

How to turn off display while connected to external monitor??

I'm running my macbook into an external monitor, using wireless mouse and keyboard. I want to get full power from my graphics card so would like to know how to turn the macbook screen off while connected to the larger monitor. I have read that simply closing the lid and then waking it with the mouse will work, however wont this activate the screen as well while the lids closed? Any advice would be great!

Toshiba Regza does not display PC connected through HDMI

I live in a flatshare in which there is a Toshiba Regza in the living room.
This television is connected to a Virgin Media V Box through an Xbox HDMI cable.
I tried using the same cable to connect the tv to my laptop, which has a HDMI port, but nothing shows up on the screem.
I checked in yhe Nvidia control panel and on the computer's screen settings: the Toshiba-TV is successfully recognized, so why I cannot see anything?
The V Box is usually tuned on the HDMI-1 channel, but all I see there is a blue screen. Same on HDMI-2.
The PC channel is instead black.
Can somebody please help and tell me what I am doing wrong?

Preview window does not display video

When I drag a clip to the time line,it will not play in the preview window.If I click on the preview window during playback,it shows me a frozen frame of that scene in the clip.I downloaded the latest driver for my Nvidia GTS 250 and it in the preview window fine until I rebooted the computer and now back to the same problem.It just shows me a target in the middle of the preview screen to adjust the frame but no image.
Am I missing something here?

I have video footage that I downloaded to a
raid 0 drive (1TB) ,i7 -920,windows 7 64bit, from my old sony digital8 as mpeg2 format.Quicktime ver. is 7.6.9
I can play any of the footage fine inside the organizer window that has thumbnails .Just not in the edit window.Also I forgot to mention that the sound plays fine in the edit window.As far as presets go,should Elements 9 set to proper preset that you drag to the timeline?
What presets should I be looking for to play this footage?

Menu does not display unless I hit play??

I built a simple DVD.
STILL image menu with one button.
The MENU is set as "first play"
When I test with Simulate- everything is fine. The Menu shows up. The button starts the program.
Once I burn and try to play back the disc- My dvd player on mac comes up BLACK screen.
No menu.
I have to hit the play button to get the menu to play.
What is going on?
I usually do not use a menu. I normally just select track as first play and it always works fine.
This client wants a menu.
I need the menu to automatically pop up and play once the disc is put into the player.
Again- this works as it should in the Simulate.

Are you using a Sony DVD player by any chance. I am and I havde ther same problem, except I don;'t get first play tracks playing by themselves. I thik this may be an insoluble Sony /DVDSP thing.

ITunes Window does not display correctly

Hey,
I've just done the update to 10.6 and now I've started iTunes again and the windows doesn't fit in m y screen... is there a utility or fix for this i already tried removing preferences from my personal directory.

Imbedded flash window does not size

I have an indesign cs5 document in which I have placed a swf file from flash catalyst. The swf file alows the reader of the document to click through a series of images. When I create a pdf file from this, all works well except that when the pdf page is scaled larger or smaller, the swf window does not scale (unless the page is so small that a part of the swf window would be outside the page and then the window does shrink). Placed jpg images on the same page do scale as expected. Is this lack of handling of swf in a window a reader bug? Or, is there some paramenter that I have not yet found that I need to set in either the flash catalyst file or the indesign file? Thanks...

Thanks for the response. That will make the size of the font and such bigger but the frames that are displayed do not fill up the whole window. As a result I do not see all of the content in a single window.

My hp deskjet 1510 series does not print when connected to my hp lap top (windows Vista), it says the printer is not active, although it is default printer, connected and on. However, it does work when connected to the (also HP) lap top (windows 8) of my husband. I did everything the hp print and scan doctor advised and also what I could find at HP support (like switch of fire walls, reinstall everything, check printpooler ec etc)... it still does nothing except that I managed to print a diagnostic print which should give information about the condition, but it only gives numbers and letters like : 11. SN = [Edited for Personal Information] Yr 12 PER = 05YR etc, that does not really help me :-). It won't print any testpages. H E L P!!!

I understand you're unable to print using the Deskjet 1510. I will do my best to assist you! When you reinstall the HP software, did the installation state it was complete?
I would start off by following this HP document on 'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the Printer Will Not Print. From this document, please make sure you check the connection type and the ports.
Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you.
