PHP inside the SAP VM Container ?

I don't have deep knowledge of the PHP core, but I guess the PHP interpreter is also something like a VM.
SAP is building a VM Container, where ABAP and Java VM's are running in, so wouldn't it be nice to also have PHP running in the SAP VM Container ?
I guess there would be a lot of advantages using the PHP VM into the SAP VM Container technology.

Raphael:
PHP runs on an engine called the Zend Engine. In some ways you could think of it as something simliar to the Java or I suppose the ABAP Virtual machine. As far as this VM container, I'm not very familiar with the technology so I'm not sure how PHP's inclusion in it would be of benefit. Perhaps someone could show me some documentation on the technology and I can give a more reasonable answer?

    Hello,
I need to create Open Catalog Interface (OCI) punch out system for our web shop. In order to test it I need SRM server that can call our web shop. I have downloaded this SRM software and installed it in my local computer:
    ABAP_Trial_7_02_SP11_Win_64_bit_Version_with_Gateway_2_0_SP04
But I cannot see the Master Data folder inside the SAP Easy Access. Does that mean SAP SRM server has not been installed on my computer? If yes, how can I install it? Can i have it for free or I should pay for it?
    Best regards,

  • Alerts inside the XI

    Hello,
could any one tell me what kind of alerts we can create inside the sap-xi alert frame work, like 1, Message process fails etc etc... and what are other major failure points where we can create the alerts.
    regards,
    Gayatri.

    Gayatri,
If we have any error in mapping we can send a mapping error via email, fax, sms. if you have any error in adapter like (Content conversion etc) we can send an alert. So depending upon your requirement you can trigger alerts.
Go through this urls where you can find how to create alerts, different types of alerts can be known.

You can also throw exception from mapping using an User defined function. Check this url to how to do this:

or also you can trigger XI alert from user defined function. Go through this url:

  • Using the HTML SAP GUI inside the Enterprise Portal?

    Hello everyone
In our company we plan to set up the SAP Enterprise Portal (NetWeaver 7.0). The first application we want to provide inside the portal is the SAP GUI that connects to our SAP ERP 2005 system via single sign on. Therefor two different approaches exist:
1: Using the standard SAP GUI inside a portal iView. In this case every client pc needs the SAP GUI installed.
2: Using the HTML SAP GUI. In this case we have to set up the integrated ITS in our SAP ERP system.
Now I have some questions about the second approach. Is the functionality of the HTML GUI equal to the functionality of the standard GUI? If not, what are the restrictions? How high is the additional load on the network and SAP ERP system caused by the HTML GUI? Would you recommend this approach for a system with more than thousand SAP users?

    Hi Marc,
At least if you consider using webgui, you should test the transactions properly as there are some issues for example with scandinavian characters and lines visible in lists of search helps.
Also you might want to consider the limitations of the screen resolutions and space which the portal framwork already takes from the gui. This of course is a topic for both HTML/SAP GUI's.
    Kind regards,
    Ville

  • Problem to run the Crystal report inside from SAP B1 based on SQL views.

    Hello,
I have a problem to run my Crystal report inside from SAP B1 which is based on SQL views. And the SQL views are stored in a separate database in SQL server. The error which i am getting is saying the the tablename does not exist. What i need to do in order to sort this problem.
Great if somebody can help me to sort out this so that i can run my report based on SQL views stored on separate database other than SAP databases inside from SAP B1.

Try using a SQL synonym in your company database for the views outside the company database. I don't know if SBO will let you get away with it, but its worth a shot.
If your company database is MyCompany and you have a view called MyView in Views database, assuming the view belongs to schema dbo, and you want the synonym to belong to dbo schema in your company database, run this:
    Use MyCompany
    go
    create synonym dbo.OutsiderView for
    Views.dbo.MyView
    go
    select * from OutsiderView
The select statement should return the contents of MyView in the Views database while you are connected to your MyCompany database.
For more info, see the Books Online for MSSQL on topic synonym.
You will need to change your CR options to include displaying synonyms along with tables, views, etc. You may also need to grant select to B1 users.

  • Benefits of PHP in the context of SAP

Could it be that PHP and SAP integration people do not how to approach it. The concerntration and effort is where the true money is...... Java and ABAP.
I think what we all need to start doing is discussing the benefits of using PHP with SAP. Why should people use PHP with SAP when Java has been doing it for years?

    Thanks Max!
I agree with what you are saying. Quite often there is a R/3 server sitting in the company with no connection to the Web developers and with PHP you now have an easy cost effect solution for combining the two together without the large overhead and complexity of Java.
However on the same note if you already have the Java infrastructure in place you should really consider the TCO of a change in that infrastructure. For example we use Java in my company as our programming language of choice for Non-SAP applications and ABAP/BSP for the SAP applications. Trying to convince my company to consider PHP would make little sense because of the investment we've already made and most, not all, but most consider PHP to not be a "enterprise" level application development language.

  • What SAP Table contains the info that a screen fields is hidden

What SAP table contain screen painter information. Specifically what table contain the logic that a Infotype screen field is vivisable / hidden from the online user. I have been looking in SM51 and cannot track down the table used for this purpose...

    Hi Ryan,
Please post this question in ABAP forum.

  • What are strengths and weaknesses of the sap.m.Shell and sap.m.App as container for an application wrapper?

My question today: What are strengths and weaknesses of the
    sap.m.Shell
    and
    sap.m.App
as container for an application wrapper?
I currently use non of them, but I see the advantages.
SAP best practise is to use one of them or nest them as shell > app. What are strengths and weaknesses of the approaches?

We prefer to say, the tender mercies of the Fetch block.
You'll notice the "wfm info" cluster as an output of the Fetch
VI.  This cluster has gain and offset members- use these to scale
your binary data to floating point voltage representation.
As you point out, the numbers won't be exactly what you expect given
the vertical range and the device resolution.  There are a few
reasons for this.  First, we don't use the absolute full scale of
the ADC for the maximum input voltage.  There are a couple of
codes of headroom at the top and bottom.  This allows your input
signal to slightly exceed the specified vertical range without clipping
(you'll get a warning from the driver).  Second, these gain and
offset numbers take into account calibration information for your
device.  Using these numbers will correct for small deviations
from the ideal offset and gain.
So if you use the gain and offset numbers from the driver, your
measurements will be more accurate than if you assume 0 offset and
perfect gain.  They will be most accurate if you make sure to
perform a self-calibration once the device is in your system and at the
temperature that your tests will be run.

  • PayloadZipBean - variable filename inside the archive

    Hi,
I'm using the Adapter-Specific Message Properties in a sender fileadapter to determine the incoming filename, which has variable components (i.e. date and time). After changing the prefix and suffix in a Message-Mapping the new name is applied in a receiver fileadapter. The new name is now part of the payload in the tag <Filename>. The receiver fileadapter contains the PayloadZipBean to compress the output file, everything works fine.
Now I want the file inside my compressed archive always to have the same name as my archive has. In Stefan Grube's blog about the PayloadZipBean I only found the possibility to choose a fix name by using the MessageTransformBean (name="file.txt").
    Example:
    1. variable input filename:                       IN_RNK_20080227_1006.txt
    2. filename after Message-Mapping:        OUT_RNK_20080227_1006.gz
    3. archive filename after receiver adapter: OUT_RNK_20080227_1006.gz
filename inside the archive:                 MainDocument (this is the default (payload-name))
I would like to name the file inside the archive OUT_RNK_20080227_1006, too.
Question 1: Is there any possibility to read out the mapped <Filename>-tag from the payload to use it for the element inside my archive (File Name Scheme and Variable Substitution don't work when using Adapter-Specific Message Properties).
Question 2: Is there a way to modify the name of the payload so that I can change "MainDocument" to "OUT_RNK_20080227_1006"?
    I'm on XI 3.0 - SP19.
    Many thanks,
    Ralph

    Hi
If you have zip file of the project then unzip it into your project  location where all projects are there .then in NWDS go to file->import->multiple existing project into workspace->browse the file where you have saved it and select the comp folder inside the project folder->click finish. Now you are able to see the webdynpro project in the webdynpro explorer. If its not appearing then go to Navigatore and right click on project and click on open project, it will open the project in webDynpro explorer.

  • SOAP receiver adapter - payload inside the soap envelop

    Hi,
We have to send a SOAP message to 3rd party from PI 7.1. Using SOAP receiver adapter - we are trying to achieve this. 3rd party software is unable to accept payload as an attachment of the main envelop - they want it enside the main envelop.
I tried with "Keep attachment" option - but PI still keping the payload as an attachment. I think this option is for handling "extra" attachment.
Is there any way we can keep the payload inside the envelop?
In run-time WB, at the moment envelop looks like
    <SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas....
    <SOAP:Body>
    <sap:Payload xlink:type="simple" xlink:href="cid:payload-d6518670ca1311debbd9ca347000800b...">
    </SOAP:Body>
    </SOAP:Envelope>
And the payload d6518670ca1311debbd9ca347000800b... ( again viewed from RWB) - contains the data.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <ns2:Order> ....
    </ns2:Order>
Can we insert this payload directly inside the SOAP:Envelope body instead of a link there?
    Regards,
    Sudhin

    Hi!
It seems to me that this 3rd party is expecting only XML not SOAP.
If this is the case, you should use the HTTP Receiver adapter instead of SOAP.
Some systems 'say' they can speak SOAP but they can only speak XML. Not to blame, it's a mistake many make these days.
The only way you use SOAP Receiver adapter with this 3rd party, is that if someone from the 3rd party hands you a WSDL file.

  • Targeting the EdgeID object from inside the animation

I've been working on an animation that displays content pulled in from json files.  The height of the content pulled in is determined and then the Stage height is adjusted to fit the total content. This works well by itself. See http://www.jomariworks.com/edge-json (Only west coast links are live. Project files http://www.jomariworks.com/edge-json/edge-json.zip)
Now I'm embedding the animation in a page using the oam insert feature, which creates an object with a fixed size.  When the animation adjusts the stage height, the object window size does not change. When the content is longer than the object window, the content scrolls.
Is there a way I can target the height of the object (id is EdgeID) during the execution of the animation?
The live version of this can be viewed at  http://reconnectingamerica.org/spacerace/index.php.  The project files at http://www.jomariworks.com/edge-json/edge-json.zip are the same as far as functionality goes.
Thanks in advance for any help.

After being unable to discover how to target the height of the object containing the embedded edge animation, I have gone back to having the entire page part of the animation file.
The final web page is online at http://reconnectingamerica.org/spacerace
There are big disadvantages of this:
The full web page has more than 7000 lines of HTML.  Making changes in Edge Animate is a VERY slow process.
Edge Animate corrupts the HTML in the file. This file contains complex TABLEs.  After making changes in Edge Animate and saving those changes, the TABLE headers are all corrupted (e.g. closing THEAD tags are moved above the head content and several closing TR tags are relocated. For the record, I checked.and the original HTML is syntactically valid.).  To deal with this I removed the tables when editing in Edge Animate and after making changes and publishing the Edge Animate version of the HTML I restored the tables.
Working separately on the animation and then embedding is clearly the better workflow in this situation. Unfortunately, I needed to be able to resize the embedded animation's object container in the same way I was able to adjust the Stage from inside the animation.  Not being a jQuery wizard I couldn't figure out how to target the height of the animation's parent container.  Still interested in finding out how to do that if anyone can help.

  • Editing swfobject.js code so hyperlinks inside the flash widget open in a new window

    0down votefavorite
I have a flash calendar widget (code shown directly below) and I do not have access to anything other than the compiled .swf file (no access to .fla).
The widget contains some hyperlinks to other websites, these links are dynamic and changes based on a number of things.
There is also a corresponding swfobject.js file that is used to add functionality to the flash widget. The swfobject.js code is shown further down this post.
Currently, the way the code is now, when I click any of the hyperlinks that are available to me in the widget, the destination website that hyperlink takes me to opens in THE SAME PAGE as the flash widget which is a big problem.
I need to edit the code below so that any hyperlinks that are clicked inside of the flash widget open in a brand new browser window and do not take the user away from the original widget other than opening a new page with new content.
Because the hyperlinks that are available are always changing, the swfobject code below uses some functions and parameters.
I am hoping you can show me exactly what code I must insert, and exactly where I must insert it, in order to alter the behavior that happens so that when a user clicks one of the hyperlinks inside the flash widget, so that the content at the other end of the hyperlink opens in a new window, instead of opening in the same window.
    See code below.

In that case, I will have no choice but to decompile the .swf to get the .fla because the original .fla is un-obtainable. Unless there is a way to edit the contents of the .swf file without decompiling it.
I can see the code inside via various decompile tools and it seems that I would need to add the equivalent of <src target=_blank> to some of the lines I have shown below.
obj_xml.load(appurl + "loadconfig.aspx?calendarid=" + calendarid);  -- need to edit this so it opens in a new window using something similar to target = _blank
dest_page = appurl + "default.aspx"; -- need to edit this so it opens in a new window using something similar to target = _blank
I know a lot of decompile tools can get you the code and the .fla but once you edit and re-compile and attempt to replace the original with the new & updated file, the decompiler did not necessarily generate the properly formatted flash pro project file, so compiling it back into an operational .swf often ends in failure.
Do you know or can you recommend a tool that has a very good track record of re-compiling the decompiled modified.fla into a workable and usable .swf?
