  • UDI Wizard Designer Issue

I have installed MDT 2012 with SCCM 2012 R2 and integrated the two.  I can create an MDT Task Sequence, however, I have an issue when I open the UDI Wizard Designer.  I do not have the Configuration Manager tool on the tool bar.   I
have tried both MDT 2012 and 2013.

  • Adobe Customization Wizard X issue PDF icon and disable display in browser after installation

I have used the Adobe Customization Wizard X wizard to setup a .MTS files for the custom install. When this is installed using SCCM 2012 with command (msiexec /q /i "\\Server\Share\AcroRead.msi" TRANSFORMS="\\Server\Share\AcroRead.mst") this all works fine but all PDFs on the machine that gets this deployment (Windows 7 x64 or Windows XP x86) the icons for the .pdf don't show the Adobe icon they show the generic Windows icon when the program is not assigned but still work to launch Adobe reader. I have tried to unistall and reinstall but still the same resaults. If I install the .msi with no .mst the icon shows up just fine. So it has to be something with when you use the customization wizard or the .mst. I have also tried assigning .PDF to another program and the icon changes to that program and assign it back and no icon. Also if I set Display PDF in browser = Disabled this setting does not stick. I have just installed via Adobe not using SCCM via command line I get the same resaults.
I have only selected these customizations:
         Installation Options:
    Silently (No interface)
    Suppress reboot
         Shortcuts
    No desktop Icon
           EULA
Suppress display of End User License Agreement (EULA)
         Online Features
    Disable all updates
Disable Help > Purchases Adobe Acrobat
    Disable Product Improvement Program
Display PDF in browser = Disabled
    Disabled  All Acrobat.com access

    Hi Ben,
Here's what I am trying to accomplish I had Acrobat Standard v10.1.4 scripted so I can deploy it to a Citrix Server (XENAPP6) via SCCM 2007 I have at least 50 licenses of Acrobat Standard deployed to 50 users. All of our Citrix Servers have Adobe Reader v10.* installed as our default pdf viewer. There are other apps that are deployed to this Citrix Server and I wanted to make sure that pdf files open on Adobe Reader instead of Acrobat Standard.
I had to change the installer tables directly so I don't have to get it re-scripted to use this command line. Is it a best practice not to change the isntaller table?
    msiexec /i "\\source\Acrobat10\AcroStan.msi" transforms="\\source\Acrobat10\AcroStan.mst" LEAVE_PDFOWNERSHIP=”YES” /qb /norestart
Thanks a lot for your help I'm looking forward to hear from you.
    Regards,
    William

  • WRT54G- Set up Wizard Password Issue

I just got my linksys and am using the setup wizard.  On #8 it keeps prompting me for a password.  I use the default "admin", the system runs the checking computer function, I get to @ 98% and then just keeps asking me for a password over and over.  Am I using the wrong password?  How do I get passed this part of the set up?
Message Edited by 3DEN0 on 09-10-2007 10:54 AM

hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds and do a power cycle...run the CD again and check whether admin works or not...
if any problems , access the router from the wired computer using http://192.168.1.1 .. leave the username blank and password admin
check whether it works or not ..

  • CUCMBE3K Experience and Issues Identified

I have created a list below of issues and experiences whilst working with the CUCMBE3K.
For the purposes of this dialog, I will refer to this particular customer as “CustomerX”.
    Part 1: Pre-Sale Engagement Summary
Following true to the Cisco PPDIOO model, the CUCMBE3K was identified as the best fit for the customer requirements, both technically as well as functionality. Apart from the standard hunt groups, the main highlights being the following:
    Voicemail-to-Email notifications
    Voicemail for all users
Extension Mobility for the bulk of users
    Multilevel Auto Attendant
    Integrated E1
    FXS support for FAX
    Paging/auto-answer
The Quick Pricing Tool (QPT) is the recommended Cisco tool to scope and create a CUCMBE3K BoM. And thus, this tool was used. The BoM of which was validated by Cisco Partner Presales and the order was placed.
Issue 1: UCL Licenses arrived in singular form
The first thing I happened to notice whilst I was unpacking the boxes was the quantity of UCL licenses. Yes, I am aware of bundled licenses, and I select those wherever possible, however these were specific to UCL voicemail licenses. Now I am not going to into how archaic the process is of still having to map a license key to a MAC address – I feel this should be done in the backend and not by partners like many other vendors do it – so we will look past this fact. Where I do have a concern is having to spend hours online manually activating UCL Voicemail licenses (restricted to 10 as “bulk” option on the Cisco Online License Tool); only to find out later that the CUCMBE3K itself can only accept 1 license upload at a time – therefore increasing the hours associated to simply applying licenses.
    Issue 1 Summary:
UCL Licenses provided in singular form for UCL VM, despite ordering via QPT.
    Online license Tool unable to process more than 10 PAK’s at a time;
CUCMBE3K unable to accept more than 1 license at one time
    Issue 1 Fixes/Workarounds/Requests
Cisco, please fix QPT to ensure so that when you specify the amount of voicemail users it creates UCL VM bundled sku’s for VM UCL’s
Increase the ability of the Cisco online License Tool to accept more than 10 at a time.
CUCMBE3K team, please provide the ability to select more than one license at a time to import.
Issue 2: Wait time of 15 minutes before CUCMBE3K Web interface responds
Powering on the CUCMBE3K unit; like any engineer you would run a ping to the default IP address to indicate when the device has successfully come up and then you would connect to it via the appropriate management interface. The CUCMBE3K would respond to the ping shortly after start-up, however the web interface was not available. No documentation indicates that the CUCMBE3K actually takes between 15 to 20 minutes to start-up, before it becomes responsive and phones can register.
    Issue 2 Summary:
CUCMBE3K takes 15 to 20 minutes to respond after boot-up.
Nowhere is this documented yet when TAC case is logged, it is outlined as normal behaviour
    Issue 2 Fixes/Workarounds/Requests:
    Be patient
    Cisco, please update documentation
CUCMBE3K Team, please look at how this boot-up time can be improved
Issue 3: First Time Wizard Crashes/Issues and Web Interface
As per the CUCMBE3K documentation for version 8.6.3, which is what was shipped with this device. I did not use the “Bulk Import Tool” (which I will get into a bit later) and simply configured the first time wizard for a “single” site. The wizard itself crashed 3 times, where I would be working through it and it would simply hang and stop responding. So I would have to restart the device and then have to wait 15 to 20 minutes before I could try again. You are looking at 1 full hour of sole boot-up time as a result of this – never mind the crashing interface.
I just kept trying and then eventually got through to the “Sites” page within the wizard, which then presented another issue. For some reason the wizard would accept all my entries yet it would not let me proceed past the “Sites” Page. The only way I could get past that “Sites” page was to start the wizard again and then click “next, next, next” for the previous pages (that I had already completed) and then it let me through the “Sites” page.
When I submitted the completion of the wizard, my browser immediately displayed “timeout error”, after which I could no longer connect to default 192.168.1.250. I then tried to connect to the newly assigned IP address. It responded but would not let me log in with either the new or old credentials. I then heard the device restart…assuming that now it had applied my Wizard configurations. I think it would be a good idea to have some sort of progress bar for something like this?
I waited for the unusually long period (20 minutes) before trying to connect and yet this time I could not connect. Even after waiting for over an hour. Ping responses to the newly configured IP address were responding. Yet no Web service was available. I restarted it after waiting for over an hour and  half.
After the restart, I waited again for over an hour and yet no luck – I turned it off and I went home for the evening. I had wasted one full day on trying to give this device an IP address and login?
In the morning I powered the device back up and I could then connect to the web interface but could not access the CUCMADMIN page…I kept getting an error page indicating that cucmadmin is not available. After much retrying it eventually let me in and then I could log in for the first time post wizard configuration.
Now that I was in and working on the CUCMBE3K interface, there came a time where I had to log out. When I tried to log back in I received “An error has occurred during authentication. Contact your system administrator.” This seemed to occur regularly and logging-in twice seemed to be the only way to log into the interface (with the same credentials).
I could go on but I think you get the drift.
    Issue 3 Summary:
    Unstable 8.6.3 Wizard\Web interface
No progress bar for Wizards submission/config application
    Issue 3 Fixes/Workarounds/Requests:
    Be patient
Upgrading to Version 8.6.4 dramatically improved stability of Web interface (but be careful of country pack backward compatibility – install country pack first before upgrade!!)
Cisco TAC recommend using Firefox – despite it not being listed as a supported browser
Issue 4: All Email address field do not support [email protected]
This particular environment is quarantined, and hence they use a domain of customerXdomain.local.
This is not supported on CUCMBE3K, despite it being a valid email address.
    Issue 4 Summary:
No support for *.local on any email fields
    Issue 4 Fixes/Workarounds/Requests:
Cisco Bug/Defect has been logged (CSCub81401)
    No work around
Issue 5: 7900 Handsets are not configured after changes have been applied to them
Should you make a change to a usage profile and/or speed-dial etc, the affected handset then restarts and upon restart has those configurations applied.
This works fine with the 6900 series handsets however, not with the 7900 series handsets. You have to restart the 7900’s manually for changes to be applied. Not sure if this is related but I also noticed that after a CUCMBE3K restart, the 7900 series handsets did not register automatically. The just sit there indicating “registering”. So you have to manually restart them to get them to register them to the CUCMBE3K device.
    Issue 5 Summary:
7900’s do not accept changes applied to them via CUCMBE3K
After CUCMBE3K restart, the 7900’s do not automatically register to the CUCMBE3K. They require a manual reboot. In some cases this was seen to be an intermittent issue i.e sometimes a 7900 handset would in fact register.
    Issue 5 Fixes/Workarounds/Requests:
Cisco Bug/Defect has been logged (CSCub81366)
    No work around
Issue 6: Cannot assign more than 40 Speed Dials
An error is received when you try to add more than 40 speed-dials to a phone. Despite the phone being a 7975+7916+7916 handset (a tally of 48 speed-dials on the 7916 sidecars alone)
    Issue 6 Summary:
Cannot allocate more than 40 Speed Dials to handset despite if the handset can support it.
    Issue 6 Fixes/Workarounds/Requests:
Cisco Bug/Defect has been logged (CSCub83528)
    No work around
Issue 7: No Call Busy Forward to Voicemail from Huntgroup
There is no option to have a Hunt Group Voicemail. So if no one is available in the hunt group the call will receive an engaged tone. This is a feature typically expected for any current voice platform.
    Issue 7 Summary:
No support for Hunt Group VM
    Issue 7 Fixes/Workarounds/Requests:
Cisco Bug/Defect has been logged (CSCub83528)
Configure Call-forward to extension with Voicemail configured for hunt group
Issue 8: Extension Mobility Users unregister when not logged in
This was a significant issue with this engagement.
The CUCMBE3K unregisters the EM user when not actively logged into a handset. This means when you call an EM user that is not logged in – you get an engaged tone. Not voicemail as what would be expected.
    Issue 8 Summary:
No voicemail support for EM users that aren’t actively logged in
Issue 7 Fixes/Workarounds/Requests:  Cisco Bug/Defect has been logged (Bug ID CSCub83528)
    Issue 9: Bulk Import Tool
The CUCMBE3K supports a feature/tool called the Bulk Import Tool. Like the name says, it allows one to upload a large portion of user details and phones to the CUCMBE3K instead of manually adding them one by one.
The issue is that in the CUCMBE3K interface, a user configuration has both a “PIN” and a “Password”. The Bulk Import Tool does not have a column or field to specify the “PIN” and thus one has to go to each and every single user manually and configure their PIN.
    Issue 8 Summary:
No user “Pin” number support in “Bulk Import Tool”
    Issue 7 Fixes/Workarounds/Requests:
Cisco Bug/Defect has been logged (Bug ID CSCub86268)
Manual configuration of each user “Pin” field
Issue 10: Auto Attendant “Dial-by-Extension” Feature issues
It was noted that Dial-by-Extension is not supported for Extension Mobile users as well as Departmental handset.
    Issue 10 Fixes/Workarounds/Requests:
Cisco Bug/Defect has been logged (Bug ID CSCuc59234)
    No work around
Issue 11: Caller ID –amends user extension to external Caller ID
The CUCMBE3K amends the extension of the user/handset to the caller ID; so for example, if extension 123 (assuming 3 digit extension length) is making an external call to the outside world, the CUCMBE3K will present a Calling Number of 0x xxxx x123 (where x is the numbers of the dial plan)
This presents an issue if that extension number is not present in the number block on the PSTN side. I.e if 0x xxxx x123 is trying to call when the customer numbers purchased on the PSTN service only go up to 0x xxxx x100, the 123 call will fail. As a result you need to add a “Calling Pattern Translation pattern”. However this is not available in the CUCMBE3K interface and thus a Cisco TAC needs to be made
    Issue 10 Summary:
No option to configure Calling party translation via CUCMBE3K interface
    Issue 10 Fixes/Workarounds/Requests:
Cisco Bug/Defect has been logged (Bug ID CSCuc59156)
    Log Cisco TAC
    Other Feature limitations
Just some other feature limitation that I thought may be worthwhile listing
Auto Attendant – no multilevel function
No auto-answer is supported despite the handsets supporting it i.e. 6921’s
    No paging/intercom is supported
No modification of 7900 background images is supported – despite the 7900 handsets supporting this feature.
There is no file management interface, so no option/ability to manage firmware manually etc.

    Brian,
Thanks for being a Cisco partner, working with TAC on resolving some of the issues you faced and taking time to provide feedback.
We have taken the feedback seriously and will work on addressing them in upcoming release.

All my certificates on the Exchange 2013 and Lync 2013 servers are from my local CA.
I use APP with the public certificates as my reverse proxy for people connecting from outside the network.
In Lync, the OAuthTokenIssuer certificate created through the Lync deployment wizard is issued to domainname.local (my primary sip domain) and the Subject Alternative names include domainname.co.uk
I then exported this certificate to the Exchange Server and use the Set-AuthConfig to use this certificate for OAuth.
from what I read this was what I was supposed to do.
    is this correct?
I have tried so many things I don't know what do to next.
Should the OAuth certificate in exchange be the one exported from Lync?
In Lync, should the OAuthTokenIssuer certificate include the servername or lyncserver.domainname.local or just be domainname.local like it is at the moment?

    Thomas,
thanks for giving this the time. I have run the Configure-EnterpriseApplication.ps1 script following by remove-PartnerApplication so many times that I was wondering if there are other setting that
Configure-EnterpriseApplication.ps1 creates that aer not removed when you run
    remove-PartnerApplication.
is there a way to completely remove everything that is confirmed when you run
Configure-EnterpriseApplication.ps1 so I can run Configure-EnterpriseApplication.ps1 without there being any configurations left from when I previously run that command?
    thanks

  • ColdFusion Hosting Recommendations

Probably covered a million times already, but with ColdFusion 9 now in beta it might be worth asking again.
I currently host at Dataride, and have had an incredible experience for six-plus years, but they are still running ColdFusion MX 7 and cannot give me any word on when they plan to upgrade to ColdFusion 8, leaving me to assume that ColdFusion 9 will be no different. That said I'd love to find a new host.
Before I sit and compare those I've found in search engines, and here on adobe.com, I thought I'd ask actual users.
Here's a little wishlist, for those who care to help:
    - I need a hosting company that offers shared ColdFusion hosting.
    - I need ColdFusion 8 installed.
    - I would like a host who is known for upgrading to the latest ColdFusion release as they are made available.
    - I need custom error support for .cfm files.
    - I need a Microsoft SQL Server database.
    - I need a host that only disables the most dangerous of ColdFusion tags (ie. CFREGISTRY, CFEXECUTE).
I've been looking at hostmysite.com, does anyone have a horror story or even praises they wish to share?

I have been using host my site for a while now.  They have been a good company to work with all in all.  I started with them because they offered free CF8 Beta accounts when it was in Beta.  I chatted them the other day to see if they were going to be doing the same with CF9.  They informed me that they did not have plans to do so at this time but were testing CF9 so things could always change.  Hopefully they will make the switch as soon as possible once CF9 is released.
Most of my work has been with Flex applications using a CF backend.  I have not as of yet had any problems with HMS in regards to their configuraitons causing an issue with my code or not being able to use a function that I need.  I do not however use a great majority of the functionality CF8 has to offer and I only post sites there when I am testing beta code in a live environment.  So I am not so sure my situation would be a good one for one example of what you need.  Even still as Hosting partners go I have not been dissapointed.

You need download all three file in  single folder. Don't have to install cab file separately those are supporting file for executable.

  • (Mobile Infrastructur)Failed to get hierarchy group elements fromMiddleware

When iam configuring the Mobile Infrastructure and clicked on Hierarchy Grouping i got the following error.
Error:Failed to get hierarchy group elements from middleware. Reason: Could not connect to middleware
Could anyone tell meaning the above statement and why it is occuring.
Secondly when iam trying to start the MI Webconsole from the below URL, I was getting Page Cannot be Displayed Error.
https://server:50300/me/WebConsole/login. Can anyone tell why this error is coming.

    Dear Sankar,
SAP wants you to use the NWA Mobile Administrator and not the old WebConsole. As for the error, I think it should be solved by now, considering you solved other NWA issues by either using solutions of redeploying sapjra, re-running of NWA templates under Deploy and Change or by returning back to your original NWA connected ABAP client (as is evident from your other thread).

  • Documenting means

    Hi Guru's,
       In Support Projects
" Documenting the configuration and program modification requirements and developing specifications for customizing "
Gurus what does it mean actually.
Plz tell me Gurus its also very urgent for me.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Abdul Khader.

    Hi Abdul,
In Support projects, you have to document the changes you have made in the production system. Basically there are three types of support issues - Configuraition change, Development/ enhancement and Routine support.
Configuration - Means carrying ot customizing settings like creating payment terms, or making changes to Credit rep etc
Development / Enhancement - Any custom program (Z progra) needs to be modified, which will be treated as a development issue
Both configuraiton and development issues require documnetation in the form of what business requirement, changes proposed, Test results (Before and after scenario), user approval of the testing etc. Additionally for a dev issue, you have to document the FTS (Functional tech specs doc)
Support - Does not involve any documenting. It will have only an analysis provided to the business. To further your analysis made, you might have to document the screenshots.
    Hope this clarifies
    Kindly assign points if helpful

  • CUCM 7.0 Suscriber Error!!!!

    Hello Guys,
I keep getting this error below when I try to install the subscriber on a CUCM 7.0 cluster. What is going on here????
Unable to set the system clock using the NTP server on the first node in the cluster.
Verify that this node was added to the server list in the CUCM admin System>Server.

Here are a few tips to make sure that your Subscriber can synchronize its clock to the Publisher via NTP. If during the addition of the Subsequent node (aka Subscriber) the NTP synchronization does not succeed, the Subscriber's installation will quit with an error (which happens almost all the way towards the end of the installation, so every time you will have wasted plenty of time before this happens). Additionally, if you try to power up the Subscriber after this error occurs, you will get a message that the installation did not succeed, and that you need to start over. Thank you Cisco!
Now, this is what you need to do to avoid this:
    1. Your Publisher must meet one of the two conditions:
    a. If your Publisher is configured to synchronize its clock via NTP with an NTP server, the clock must be successfully synchronized. If the Publisher's clock was successfully synchronized with the NTP server at one point, but the Publisher is no longer getting its clock from the NTP server at the time when you are trying to add a Subsequent node to the cluster, the Subscriber's installation will error out. To make sure that your Publisher is getting its clock from the NTP server, use the following CLI command: utils ntp status The output of this command will clearly say if the Publisher is synchronized to NTP server and the stratum.
    b. If you do not have an active NTP server on the network - you are on an isolated network in the lab or this is a VMWare environment, then do not set your Publisher to synchronize to an NTP server. Instead, set it for its internal clock. You can do this by logging in to Cisco Unified Operating System Administration and navigating to Settings -> NTP Servers. Here, you will have to delete all NTP servers and then you can navigate to Settings -> Time and set the internal clock to the current time.
If you make sure that either of the aforementioned conditions - (a) or (b) - is met, you will have no problems adding a Subsequent node to the cluster, that is when working with physical hardware. However, if you are running one or both servers - Publisher and Subscriber - in VMWare, there is something else you must do. By default, VMWare configures a virtual machine to synchronize its clock with the clock of the hardware server on which the hypervisor is running. This is true for VMWare Fusion and VMWare ESXi. I am not sure about VMWare Workstation and VMWare Server, but I could bet some serious money that it is the case with those two products as well. The strange thing is that whereas in VMWare Fusion, the VM's clock is always configured to synchronize with the Mac on which it is running, in VMWare ESXi, the clock synchronization with the physical server is a hit or miss. I cannot figure out when ESXi decides to enable this feature and when to disable it. So, to be on the safe side, open the .vmx file for your VM and make sure that the following line is contained anywhere in that file: tools.syncTime = "false" alternatively, the syntax could be: tools.syncTime = "FALSE" or perhaps even tools.syncTime = "0" I have seen all three versions with the lower case in quotation marks used by ESXi, and the upper case used by Fusion. I believe that all VMWare versions understand any variation in the syntax of this command, though. If your .vmx file has the following command: tools.syncTime = "true" or tools.syncTime = "TRUE" or even tools.syncTime = "1", you will have to modify it. If your .vmx file does not contain this command at all, you will have to add it like this: tools.syncTime = "false" or use any variation of the syntax shown above.
Once you have added this command to your .vmx file, save the file and place it back where it belongs - in your VM's folder. You must do this on both servers - the Publisher and the Subscriber. On the Publisher, you will have to power down the VM, make the change in the .vmx file, and then power up the VM again - there is no need to reinstall the Publisher. On the Subscriber, this MUST be done after you have created the VM and BEFORE you start the Configuration Wizard on this Subscriber. If you have installed the Subscriber on the VM but skipped the Configuration Wizard, you can power down the Subscriber, make this change in its .vmx file, save the .vmx file, power up the Subscriber, and then run the Configuraiton Wizard. You should have no problems adding the Subscriber to the cluster at this point.
By the way, to follow up on my post of last night, I was able to add my Subscriber to the cluster with both the Publisher and the Subscriber running in VMWare ESXi 4.0U1. I would still like to know why I am getting that error every time I try to add a Subscriber, but it seems that when I retry the same step after I get the error (without having to restart the installation), the installation succeeds (sometimes).

  • Dunning wizard print layout issue.

    Hi every one
I need some help regarding the dunning wizard layout. Iu2019m having an issue where the last line in layout duplicates itself 4-6 times.  The weird thing is that first lines are fine but only the last one that does it.
    Kind regards
    Søren

    Hi
I solved the problem. But the issue was when i ran the dunning wizard the layouts messed up. For example if I had a dunning letter with 3 lines (overdue documents). The last line would copy itself 4-6 times (it would show the last document 4-6times so the total lines in the dunning letter would be 7-9 lines). But I solve the issue. Somehow the attention person (which I got from the contact persons (ocrp) and not from the document contact person (oinv) ) did the issue. When i switch it to the oinv the issue was gone.
    kind regards
    Søren
