PI FTP error 426 during Windows IIS connection

Hi,
We are experiencing an issue between SAP PI 7.0 SP15 on P-Series AIX IBM Server and the Windows IIS FTP server. The interface in PI does connect to 3 systems with the FTP file adapter (a Mainframe, an AS400 and a Windows IIS FTP server). The mainframe and the AS400 connection are working fine but for the IIS we are getting a FTP failure in 90% of the transfers in 10% it works. With other clients (also one based on JFTP) everything works fine with the IIS server. The files are only 2kb and not to large as described in the File Adapter FAQ note.
There where tests with active (FTP failure 500) and passive connections, the timeout value was increased on both sides. The connection bandwidth reached never more than 40% and there were always enough CPU processes available on both sides.
Following technical details for the passive connection failure:
XI we do get following error log in MDT
2008-09-09 20:27:01 Success Connecting to FTP server "bla.com"
2008-09-09 20:27:02 Success Write to FTP server "bla.com", directory "/sapedi/Outbound/856otest", -> file "SAPASN253201157.txt"

No this was not solved, we went for another FTP solutions (GlobeScape) and it just worked fine with it.

  • Continued Error 800706F7 during Windows Update

I've been trying to perform Windows Updates for several weeks but receive error
800706F7 each time. I've scoured forums and Windows Fixits trying to find a solution and 99% of the time I'm pointed to the
3004394 Root Certificate update from December 2014 as being the culprit. Uninstalling this update normally allows updates to be downloaded and installed- the problem is fixed.
This is not the case in my situation. Below are some of the steps I've tried to try to resolve the issue:
Run 3004393 uninstall tool (doesn't work)
Try to install 3004394 so I can remove it again (can't install)
    Windows Update Standalone Package
    Windows Update Diagnostic tool
Start / stop: BITS, Crypto, Windows Update
System File Check (says there are corrupt files but cannot repair)
    Check Disk
    Clearing Windows/SoftwareDistribution folder
Various Windows Update Fixits from Microsoft.com
    Uninstall .NET Framework 4.5.2
    Re-validating Windows
Reviewing CBS.log, WindowsUpdate.log and a few other log files. I couldn't determine anything from them though.
After each of those attempts, and what seems like a hundred restarts, the problem remains. Any help would be much appreciated- I've spent way too much time trying to fix this!

    Hi jpinney,
Some required information are needed for us to help you.
Please make sure your system wasn't cloned from another hard disk and time zone was set correctly, temporarily disable firewall for good measure.
We might need your Windows update troubleshooter results and SFC details for this issue
Run findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >sfcdetails.txt in Command Prompt after SFC /scannow so you could get a detail report in C disk.
If SFC cannot fix your system corruption, you might need to manually replace the corrupted file with a known good copy of the file.
Also try fixing Windows corruption errors by using the DISM or System Update Readiness tool

  • How can get Dreamweaver to stop error message: an ftp error has occurred- cannot connect to host?

Dreamweaver is locking me out when I try to connect to the host via ftp. I get the error message: "An ftp error has occurred - cannot make connection to host". This error message started yesterday when I used the wrong host ftp address too many times. I have since received the correct ftp address from my website host, but the system won't even let me log in...it just gives me that error message when I click the connection button on the panel. My website host recommends that I uninstall Dreamweaver and re-install it again. My concern is, if I un-install the Dreamweaver app, which I downloaded from the Cloud, will the Cloud know I've un-installed Dreamweaver and allow me to download it again? Please help.

See my response in your most recent thread. Please don't double post like that - it can confuse things considerably when replies come in to both threads.

  • 0xc000035b error during windows integrated login

I've been trying to setup an ADFS SQL farm. I've been running into an issue when trying to authenticate a use using Windows Integrate Authentication. I get it in all the browsers that I've tried (IE, Firefox, Chrome). What's happening is that the HTTP challenge
box keeps popping up. I put in valid credentials (I've entered them in in various forms, UPN, domain\username, etc.), but the system never accepts them and keeps challenging until I cancel or I get a 401. When I look into the logs I see the following:
An account failed to log on.

During the setup of the ADFS SQL farm, I got a warning about the service principle name being already taken by some other AD object. Upon further investigation, that error is appearing because the setup is trying to assign an SPN to a domain user that is
already assigned to the machine in the AD. So, I found ADFS docs that show how to manually assign an SPN to a service account. Still no go.
So here is a run down on how ADFS is being accessed. We have a reverse proxy that all web traffic is going through. The ADFS server farm (a farm of one server) is behind this reverse proxy. I've tried assigning SPNs to the service account that ADFS is running
under that reflect external and internal DNS names. Can anyone shed some light on this? Windows integrated auth works great when I setup a stand-alone server and don't have to do all the service account stuff.

    Hallis:
I have a web application running on Azure, the ADFS server is published to the internet using TMG.
When accessing the application from my internal network everything works as expected. I see from the logs that the user is loggen on using Kerberos. This works for both domain joined computers and others.
But, when accessing the application from outside my internal network I get the same behaviour as you described.
The only difference in these scenarios is the reverse proxy. When it fails NTLM is used, when it works Kerberos is used. Maybe ADFS does not support NTLM?
    pagefaulted:
I'm having the same issue except replace a reverse proxy with a F5 Bigip. Anyone out there have any solutions or at least explain why it is failing?
    Hi all,
I've encountered the same issue a few of you mentioned above, when using a reverse proxy. In my case, the solution was to turn off Extended Protection (see
Configure Extended Protection in IIS 7.5 or
Windows Extended Protection) on the LS folder, or to configure it to match your use scenario and not perform channel-binding token (CBT) checking.
To turn Extended Protection off, on the AD FS server, launch IIS Manager, then, on the left side tree view, access
Sites -> Default Web Site -> adfs -> ls. Once you’ve selected the “/adfs/ls” folder, double-click the
Authentication icon, then right-click Windows Authentication and select
Advanced Settings… On the Advanced Settings dialog, choose Off for
    Extended Protection.

  • FTP connection error w/DW5.5 - cannot connect to host

I was able to upload to my site on Monday, but the next day I started receiving the FTP error: cannot connect to host. It's not an issue with my provider and I can post using net2ftp.com and Filezilla, but not in Dreamweaver CS5.5.
I went to the manage site area and created an Adobe Test Server - I receive the same error.
I've studied several discussions, but I can't get this to work. Any new ideas?
    Craig

I've been managing this site for a long time and update coupons on it approximately every 60 days. For some reason, I'm not having problems:
I opened DW CS5 today and made the changes necessary to update coupons. I was able to connect to the host server with no problem but most of my coupon images were not showing up. DW tells me I have 70 broken links, which can't be the case because I've reviewed them. Some links work and are the same as the broken links other than the file name. Unable to figure it out, I thought maybe restarting my Mac would help. However, upon logging back into DW, I am now unable to connect to the host server. I get an FTP error notice that the file doesn't exist or there is a permissions problem. Funny thing is, I can connect successfully if I test the connection through the Site Management window.
Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what is the solution? I feel like this is probably a simple fix, but I cannot for the life of me determine what it is! If anyone knows a solution, I'd really appreciate the help!
    -Toni

I recently installed CS4, and I can not make a connection to my website.  Message an FTP error occurred and cannot make a connection to host. The remote host cannot be found.

Open up your site definition (double-click on the site name in the File panel or choose Site > Manage Sites > Edit) and go to the Remote Info category. There, click Use Firewall (if it isn't already selected) - press Test to try the default firewall settings. If that doesn't work, click Firewall Settings. You'll see two relevant settings about 2/3 down - Firewall host and Firewall port. If Firewall port is 21, there probably is something blocking the port.
On Windows XP, you may have the Windows Firewall installed and blocking. Here's how you get to it:
    To open Windows Firewall
    1.
Click Start and then click Control Panel.
    2.
In the control panel, click Windows Security Center.
    3.
    Click Windows Firewall.
Once you have that open, you'll need to set Dreamweaver as an exception to blocking:
On the Exceptions tab, click Add                     Program.
In the list of programs, click the name of the program (Dreamweaver) that you                     want to add, and then click OK. If the name of your program is                     not in the list of programs, click Browse to locate the Dreamweaver.exe in the Program Files folder and then click OK.
    Hope this helps - Joe

  • Windows Installer (MSI 5.0) fails with ERROR 1939 during "MsiConfigureServices" action

When trying to install a setup package using the new MSI 5.0 features of Windows Service Configuration (using Tables: MsiServiceConfig / MsiServiceConfigFailureActions)
the service config fails and results in a rollback.
The service itself is installed along with the same package under "LocalSystem" account.
Regarding MSDN, these feature does have some limitations, but I am not shure if they are applicable here:
"The services configuration feature of the Windows Installer cannot configure network service accounts, install shared service host (svchost) processes, or restart services stopped as part of the installation"
    (see
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd408113(v=vs.85).aspx )
I have tried this with serveral variations on the failure actions count and type.
Using SC_ACTION_NONE or SC_ACTION_RUN_COMMAND actions indeed work and lead to a successful install.
Can you tell, why SC_ACTION_RESTART or SC_ACTION_REBOOT does not work fine?
PS: The guys on MS Connect didn't want so solve that issue ;-)

  • Excel SSAS Tabular error: An error occurred during an attempt to establish a connection to the external data source

    Hello there,
I have an Excel report I created which works perfectly fine on my dev environment, but fails on my test environment when I try to do a data refresh.
The key difference between both dev and test environments is that in dev, everything is installed in one server:
    SharePoint 2013
SQL 2012: Database Instance, SSAS Instance, SSRS for SharePoint, SSAS POWERPIVOT instance (Powerpivot for SharePoint).
In my test and production environments, the architecture is different:
SQL DB Servers in High Availability (irrelevant for this report since it is connecting to the tabular model, just FYI)
SQL SSAS Tabular server (contains a tabular model that processes data from the SQL DBs).
2x SharePoint Application Servers (we installed both SSRS and PowerPivot for SharePoint on these servers)
2x SharePoint FrontEnd Servers (contain the SSRS and PowerPivot add-ins).
Now in dev, test and production, I can run PowerPivot reports that have been created in SharePoint without any issues. Those reports can access the SSAS Tabular model without any issues, and perform data refresh and OLAP functions (slicing, dicing, etc).
The problem is with Excel reports (i.e. .xlsx files) uploaded to SharePoint. While I can open them, I am having a hard time performing a data refresh. The error I get is:
"An error occurred during an attempt to establish a connection to the external data source [...]"
I ran SQL Profiler on my SSAS Server where the Tabular instance is and I noticed that every time I try to perform a data refresh, I get the following entries:
Every time I try to perform a data refresh, two entries under the user name ANONYMOUS LOGON.
Since things work without any issues on my single-server dev environment, I tried running SQL Server Profiler there as well to see what I get.
As you can see from the above, in the dev environment the query runs without any issues and the user name logged is in fact my username from the dev environment domain. I also have a separated user for the test domain, and another for the production domain.
Now upon some preliminary investigation I believe this has something to do with the data connection settings in Excel and the usage (or no usage) of secure store. This is what I can vouch for so far:
Library containing reports is configured as trusted in SharePoint Central Admin.
Library containing data connections is configured as trusted in SharePoint Central Admin.
The Data Provider referenced in the Excel report (MSOLAP.5) is configured as trusted in SharePoint Central Admin.
In the Excel report, the Excel Services authentication settings is set as "use authenticated user's account". This wortks fine in the DEV environment.
Concerning SecureStore, PowerPivot Configurator has configured it the PowerPivotUnnattendedAccount application ID in all the environments. There is
NO configuration of an Application ID for Excel Services in any of the environments (Dev, test or production). Altough I reckon this is where the solution lies, I am not 100% sure as to why it fails in test and prod. But as I read what I am
writing, I reckon this is because of the authentication "hops" through servers. Am I right in my assumption?
Could someone please advise what am I doing wrong in this case? If it is the fact that I am missing an Secure Store entry for Excel Services, I am wondering if someone could advise me on how to set ip up? My confusion is around the "Target Application
    Type" setting.
    Thank you for your time.
    Regards,
    P.

    Hi Rameshwar,
PowerPivot workbooks contain embedded data connections. To support workbook interaction through slicers and filters, Excel Services must be configured to allow external data access through embedded connection information. External data access is required
for retrieving PowerPivot data that is loaded on PowerPivot servers in the farm. Please refer to the steps below to solve this issue:
In Central Administration, in Application Management, click Manage service applications.
    Click Excel Services Application.
    Click Trusted File Location.
Click http:// or the location you want to configure.
In External Data, in Allow External Data, click Trusted data connection libraries and embedded.
    Click OK.
    For more information, please see:
Create a trusted location for PowerPivot sites in Central Administration:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee637428.aspx
Another reason is Excel Services returns this error when you query PowerPivot data in an Excel workbook that is published to SharePoint, and the SharePoint environment does not have a PowerPivot for SharePoint server, or the SQL Server Analysis
Services (PowerPivot) service is stopped. Please check this document:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff487858(v=sql.110).aspx
Finally, here is a good article regarding how to troubleshoot PowerPivot data refresh for your reference. Please see:

  • Error message when  trying to connect Classic 120GB to iTunes    An internal error occurred during: "FindSonarTrackJob". java.lang.NullPointerException

When trying to connect to iTunes I get this message
An internal error occurred during: "FindSonarTrackJob".
    java.lang.NullPointerException

I too am having this problem and have had, for about a week now.
I've found that by logging off itunes (if I can), closing it down, and then restarting it, sometimes allows it to work for one transaction (say downloading an updated app). After that it's back to the same error.
    Really annoying.

  • I can't install iTunes on Windows 7. "An error occurred during installation of assembly"

I recently purchased an iPhone 4s. This product requires me to insall iTunes on my pc, which runs Windows 7 64bit. However, when installing iTunes I keep recieving the same error message-- An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type="win32",version='8.0.50727.4053',publicKey Token="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b". ProcessorArchitecture="amd64"      HRESULT: 0x800736B3
I've already looked over many previous forum posts and haven't been able to find a suitable solution to this yet. I had iTunes on my computer previously but deleted it after I had freezing trouble. I have ensured that all old files have been removed. Bonjour gave me some trouble but I think I have dealt with that now. Also, I have been experiencing some failures with windows update-- service pack 1 for windows seven and some security updates mostly-- which I am yet to solve. I really have no idea what to do as I would like to run my iPhone on the latest iOS. If anybody could help me I would be forever grateful.
    Thanks, heattr.

I've been having the same issues for the past year and a half. I've spent 6-8months trying to figure it out. Went to various Itunes stores with pictures on my Iphone per each step so I could relay all information that I'd come across and the personnel were less than helpful, after conversations that would sometimes last an hour between myself, employees and managers they always came back to "simply uninstall then reinstall" when I told them for the thousanth time that I've done that multiple times and my errors are happening while trying to reinstall it they act stumped and say "well then I'm not sure, I'll give you a call if I figure it out" and disappear. I've been very disatisfied at the lack of support from Apple and if Android to piece together a reletively reliable phone I'd switch to them in a heartbeat. I'll follow this question incase someone can answer this, but I don't have much faith.
BTW, wifey has Windows 7 running on the laptop and my phone syncs just fine to that and no trouble with itunes, just mine (desktop).
