Pick List UDF data
Hi Everyone,
I would like to ask if it is possible to pass the data I encoded in the Pick List and upon clicking the Deliver button the value will be loaded in a user defined field in my Delivery Document? Here's the scenario:
I created a UDF in the Pick List to record the truck that will deliver all sales orders in one pick list. I need to pass the truck data in all delivery documents that will be created which are based on the sales orders in my pick list. Will that be possible? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Malu

Pick list release date and picked date
Hello, I need to prepare a query where I need to select the b1 pick list release date and pick list picked date.
Does b1 store these pick list dates somewhere in the system?
ThanksI don't think that the APKL or the ADOC store the the release date. And I also have seen that the pick date is not changed after the user picked the goods and update the pick list. I keep seen the pick date in the OPKL = to the create date in the OPKL. And the update date we can't really relly on it because after picking the goods some days after the user can update for example a UDF and then save the pick list and this field is updated again...
Any ideas? -
Cascading Pick List with date range as first, second pick list is dynamic
Specifically, how is this accomplished?
It does not seem possible to make first pick list static. If allowed this would be perfect.
The system seems to only allow the first parameter to be dynamic if the second parameter is dynamic. No range seems to be available for date when second parameter is dynamic.Consider a 3rd-party tool as a solution (for a list of such tools, see http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html).
There is at least one Crystal report viewer with its own special implementation of dynamic & cascading parameters. It would allow you to use any type of parameter within the cascade. However, you will need to create a separate rpt to implement each dynamic parameter. So in your case, you will have one main report, using a dynamic parameter that's implemented as a separate rpt, which has a date range parameter.

Select list and date picker on one line - is this a bug?
I'm using: Application Express 3.2.0.00.27
Is the following a bug? If so, how do I get it reported so it will be fixed in a future release of APEX? If not, how do I do it so it ends up the way I want?
1. create blank page
2. create html region
3. create "select list" item (Begin On New Line - Yes, ...Field - Yes, ColSpan - 1, Row Span - 1)
4. create date picker item (Begin On New Line - No, ...Field - No, ColSpan - 1, Row Span - 1)
There will be other items displayed in more columns above what I just had you create above. I want the select list and the date picker to display next to each other on same line, so I placed date picker item on same line in same field as select list item.
HOWEVER... the date picker ends up displayed under the select list item (kind of), instead of next to it on the same line.
Here's what I get:
...................... [Select List Field] Date Picker Label
Select List Label
...................... [Date Picker Field]
Here's what I want:
Select List Label [Select List Field] Date Picker Label [Date Picker Field]
Thanks,
Steve

Saved data in pick list for parameter
Hi all,
I have a scheduled report that I want to use parameters in. But the trick is that I want the pick list for the parameter to be fetched from the saved data for a specific field in the report.
Any ideas? I am thinking of a dynamic parameter but then how do I only get to choose from actual data in the report?
I am using CR2008 and running the reports on BO XI 3.1
Thanks,
Magnusstore in excel file and use that to pull the values through.
there should be a white paper on this site on how to do that. -

Pick list date must be between order date and cancellation date
Hi all
A client gets this error:
Pick list date must be between order date and cancellation date Message[173-89]
The date is between that range.
What else could be the reason for it.
ThanksHi
Since the message you received is very user friendly - date must be between....
I guess you have two situation
1.Either operation is incorrect
- Create a similar scenario in your test environment
-Are you receiving same error
-Test with only one item so far
-Check what is the result
2 . You probably need to upgrade your patch level
It might be coming from Application error
Hope this helpls

Custom data type (pick list like) in UCM
Hi,
We have requirement from customer to add a pick list on UCM profile page for a perticular metadata.
Example, if i have metadata called "branches" i should be able to select multiple values from pick list (mumbai, pune, bangalore, hyderabad, chennai etc) and assign selected city names to metadata.
Is there any way of doing this in UCM? Please advise,
Thanks.Mihir,
Please review the documentation around metadata. This sounds like an ootb feature of UCM.. sorry, WCContent :)
Each particular metadata item can be configured as an option list. there are multiple types of option lists and I believe there are two "multi-select" options available.
For more info, see A.1.4.4 of:

Hi,
I would like to add a Time column (UDF) for pick list rows.
Therefore when ever a row is picked the picked time will display in the row.
Any suggestions.
Thanks,
Kishor
Edited by: Joel on Sep 14, 2009 4:16 PMHi Jordan,
Thank you for the query, but I am getting only the date in the UDF. The UDF I have used is an alphanumeric 30 characters. Is there something else that I would have to do to get the time populated?
Thanks,

SharePoint 2013 List - Multiple Data Types in the Same List
In the same SharePoint 2013 list in Data Sheet View, I want to have one column where my end users enter inputs for KPIs. There are 3 groups of KPIs (A, B and C) and they each have different data types (A-string, B-decimal, C-percentage) and I want to be
able to base their input options off of the KPI type
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can leverage my parent-child relationships so when an end user...
1. Picks KPI type A, they can select from a choice filed (Green, Yellow, Red)
2. Picks KPI Type B, they can enter a decimal (-1.000 to 2.000)
3. Picks KPI Type C, they can enter a percentage (-100.00% to 100.00%
I'm using if I want to keep this in one list, one column and in data sheet view that the out of the box solutions won't meet my requirements. I was looking at some solutions from Bamboo (Lookup Selector Column) but don't think that applies here.
Thanks!
JohnnyHi Johnny, you can accomplish this using cascading lookups in InfoPath if that program is available to you. Otherwise, if you want a 3rd party product, we use the Kwiz cascading lookup and it's worked wonders for us:

Note: I have no relationship with Kwiz, just vouching for the product.

Delivery Notes Generation Via Pick List

Item in sales order not being picked into picking list
Hi Gurus,
Could you please tell me the possible reasons as why an item in the sales order which has enough stock not being picked into the picking list?
Many Thanks
ChoudryHi
Delivery creation that is selection date is controlled by the schedule line of the line item in the sales order
Try by changing the schedule lines in sales order in VA02
there you try to change the delivery date to past
It might be possible if you had enough stocks at that time

Source List validity dates for MRP only
Hi.
Is there a way to do the following:
Set purchasing view "source list required" so that the material must be purchased from ANY of the sources on the source list... AND...
Setup the source list so that there are no overlaps, and MRP sources from consecutive contracts based on the source list validity dates.
For example, 1/1/10 to 5/1/10 -> Contract A (mrp relevant); 5/2/10-10/1/10 -> Contract B (mrp relevant). But on 5/3/10 I want to be able to manually change the requisition away from "B" and release against Contract A. In other words, I want MRP to get the sourcing close to correct, but allow the user the ability to override the MRP sourcing, AND still ensure that the source the user picks is on the source list somewhere.
When I try this now, the system generates "Source list not included in list despite source list requirement." The source list checking seems to be done all the way at the validity period level.hi,
I understood your concept. Please explain it clearly so that why this message
is appearing " Source list not included in list despite source list requirement"
can be found out

Infoview pick list values and CR parameter values are not the same
Hello All
We have created created Crystal Reports based upon BW Query using Static Parameters as recomended by SAP. When we run the query in InfoView the Pick List is dynamically updated and returns the correct data for selection. When The Crystal Report opens and you wish to navigate through the report using the parameter selection the selection criteria has not been maintained by BW and does not match the Pick List.
Can you please advise if there is any way to make this work?
We ar using Crystal Reports 2008 version 12.3.1.684
on BOBJ XI 3.1
Any help would be appreciated,
PhillipHello Ingo
What is strange that in InfoView the pick list is only dynamic the Parameters when the document is open (in InfoView) are not dynamic. An example would be Searching on Material. In Info view the pick list provides all the materials to select from. Once though the report is open the parameter list on the left hand side could be seen as blank as it refers to the static list that is not manually maintained within Crystal Reports or provide a list of details that has no reference to the dynamic selection as returned from BW as it is a static list that was loaded with Crystal Reports Designer on creation.
What we are wanting to achieve is that Info View Pick List is Dynamic and the Parameter list that can be used to navigate within the document once opened is dynamically refreshed to be the same as the Pick List provided by BW and InfoView.
Is this possible?
With CR Designer if we use Do Not Show, Info View no longer provides this parameter on the left hand side.
If we use Editable the list provided in InfoView is equal to the static list as maintained within CR Designer.
We have not tested Read Only Yet so I am not sure if this could be the solution or not.
Any ideas would be of great benefit
Phillip
