Picking in WH ( integration with PP )
If transfer requirements are sent to the WH when a production order is released, how can i specify which comp/onents are to be picked, and which components are not to be picked
After Release and Save of order a Order No wil generate against the material. you can identify the material to be Picked against the material (SFG, FG) or Order No.

RE: Legacy Integration with PI/Open
Greg -
We are currently working on wrappering the APIs for UniVerse (aka Pick on
UNIX).
We received some help from the guys at RTD in Denver.
We tested out a C program that uses the Universe APIs and it works fine.
We will be building the Forte piece and compiling it this week.
Our first application is to inquire the UniVerse data, after that is
successful, we will move to inserting & updating.
Let us know how we can help.

This is a bit of a long shot, but has anyone experience with integrating
Forte with PI/Open. PI/Open is a variant of PICK. We have a requirement

We are aware of a set of APIs provided with PI/Open that are written in

the APIs provided are non-shared, and Forte requires shared libraries.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Subject: Java Integration
Hello,
I'm trying to integrate Forti with Java in Java mode using IIOP.I
followed the steps as explained in the Forti Web enterprise manual.I
compiled the Java files that are generated by Forti along with the
client Java file. The Java applet is getting downloaded on the client
browser(IE 4.0), but the problem is browser is giving an exception
** Java.lang.RuntimeException can't connect to service object with
the ior file name **.
My question is on every client is it necessary for ORB(Visigenic for
Java 3.2) and also the Forti Java interoperability package that is
provided by the Forti for compatability with Java or it is not
required on the clients ?
Is there any other alternative to achieve the goal as this will give
wide access to the Forti service objects through Web Browser clients.
Please mail me the solution to this problem as early as possible it is
very urgent.

Subject: RE: Forms That Will Not Close
Exiting the event loop will not close the window! Invoking
'Close' method on the window will. Check if this method
is executed. It appears, the AfterFinalize event exits the
event loop and nothing more. Then, your applications
waits for some event from your main window, like 'Mouse-
Enter', before invoking Window.Close().
Pascal
Hi,
We seem to be having some type of deadlock problem when trying to
close
forms and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem.
The
phenomenon does not always occur and is not specific to any one client
machine.
I will explain the phenomenon:
1. We have an object that contains our main application startup
method.
This method then instantiates our main application window (Control)
and
invokes the Display() method using start task.
2. All other forms created by the application are created using a form
manager service object which exists on the client partition. The form
manager has a CreateForm() method which instantiates a form class of
the
specified type and invoked the form's Display() method using start
task.
3. Each form has a Close push button which when clicked invokes
Window.RequestFinalize().
Now, the problem we have is this:
The user starts the application and the main application window is
displayed. The user then selects an option from the main window and a
child form is created using the form manager service object and is
displayed. The user can continue to create more child forms by
selecting
options from the main window and all child forms are instantiated and
displayed correctly.
However, when the user attempts to close one of the forms the form
does
not close. The finalize event is triggered and the event loop is
exited,
but the form continues to be displayed and does not close. If the user
then moves the mouse pointer over the main application window, the
child
form immediately closes. Moving the mouse cursor over other child
windows (or even the desktop) does NOT do this - only when the mouse
cursor is moved over the main window does the child form close.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?
Regards,
Jace.

Jason,
No, self.Close() should close the window. This is the
method I referred to. You could place a traceline
behind self.Close() to see if it is executed. It is not
inconcievable some exception may exit the Display()
method before self.Close() is executed.
After that, maybe, some events from your main
window trigger something that causes a call like 'My-
Window.Close()', where 'MyWindow' is a subclass of
'UserWindow', so 'MyWindow' gets closed after all.
Maybe you've overridden 'Close()', so now it doesn't
work properly anymore.
Are you sure you exit the event loop after you press
the close button?? The display method is not regis-
terred for any <PushButton>.Click event, though maybe
you just didn't include the full Display method in your
mail.
Remember that an event loop will only respond to an
event if it is not currently handling an event. So, the
method behind <PushButton>.Click may call a self.
Window.RequestFinalize(), which will cause an After-
Finalize event to be posted, which will be placed in
the event queue. If this method however keeps waiting
for something, the event loop will not respond to the
AfterFinalize event, until this method is done waiting.
Pascal.
Hi Pascal,
The Display() method is as follows:
self.Open();

exit;
when task.Shutdown do

ECC 6.0 integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Hi All
I am working on a ECC 6.0 integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM. I need to send the customer master data, va01/va02, vl01n/vl02n/ vf01/vf02 to CRM system. One option I have is to send in the form of IDOC with TRFC - TCP/IP. But looks like this needs a middleware like Biztalk.
Is there a way I can send this data using a Internet service in ECC 6.0 ??? As this would cut the cost of the Biztalk.
I really appriciate your thoughts on this. We don't have XI either.
Thanks a lot
VanHI Van Dan Jan,
We have just implemented integarion of SAP with Microsoft stack (Microsoft CRM, Share point and Axapta), But in all integration BizTalk as a middleware used.
There is two way requirements :
1. whenever Most of the control are at the Microsoft level like : Customer creation, Creation of orders, which need to be synchronus activity we have used RFC which internally calls BAPI. (So SAP adapter Configured at BizTalk). and whenever Biztalk receives request file from CRM or share point to there location they call SAP RFC's.
2. When DATA is needed from SAP to microsoft stack like to syncronize the missing transaction like customer pad and all.
Scheduled job at BizTalk end which call SAP to get the DATA via RFC mode :
In SAP we have two things
1. if DATA size is small (below 2 MB) like in last 1 hrs what are the sales contract created in SAP that need to updated in Microsoft other system than Biztalk will trigger a job at 1 hr interval or on deemand to get the detail which directly we pick from data base or using BAPI to get the detail via RFC.
2. If Data Size is large (more than 2 MB) like total transation happened in a day for all customers: then we wriiting the data in OS or application server and that job also get initiated from Biztalk end by sending any parameter to SAP.
advantage of using BizTalk is most of the control you can give it to them so they can run there job on deemand basis.
There is a something known as web service we can use to avoid Interfacing tool, but I dont have much Idea about that,
and please check how many interfacing point is there with SAP in your project, because if Interfacing points are more then I think it is not good to write a web services for so many things.
do let me know if you need further information. -

The basis of the sales process is the sales order. After receiving an inquiry from a customer a sales order has to be created to start the process.
The sales order is generated on the level of the distribution chain. The ordered items may belong to different divisions. The sales order is an SD document and does not lead to posting in Financial Accounting.
After the sales order is entered, the system performs an availability check for the desired delivery date.
At the day of the shipping , a delivery document is created. The delivery is not ready for billing before the goods are picked from the warehouse inventory and posted as goods issue.
For the picking process, the warehouse management functionality is used. A warehouse transfer order has to be created which generates the picking request. The requested goods are picked from the warehouse and prepared for the delivery.
The goods to deliver are posted as goods issued . A goods issue document is created in MM and an accounting document is created in FI to post the goods issued on the right G/L accounts.
The concluding activity in Sales and Distribution is billing . A billing document is created in SD and a printed invoice is sent to the customer. Simultaneously, an FI document is generated to post the receivables and revenues on the right accounts.

Brief discussion on SAP XI and its' Integration with SAP MDM.
Hi,
I have never worked on SAP XI.
I am discussing it on brief, please give your valuable replies.
SAP XI consists of System Landascape Directory(SLD).
SLD Consists of Business System and Techinical System.
Technical System contains all information about the software
component. The Business System consists of Inbound and Outbound Business
System which are used as logical names for data transfer.
There is communication Channel for Receiver and Sender Business System and n agreement
is signed between Sender and Receiver.
Outbound Interface defined for Business System Outbound and Techical System associated
with the Business System,
Inbound Interface defined for Business System Inbound and Techical System associated
with the Business System.
In SAP NetWeaver XI Integration Directory, we have defined the Integration Scenarios,
Actions, Interface Objects, Mapping Objects, Adapters Objects.
Mapping Object defines the Structure and Value Mapping.
Adapter Objects defines the Adapter program which implements RFC Adapter, FTP Adapter logic.
FTP Adapter is used for XI-MDM Communication.
RFC Adapter is used for XI-ECC Communication.
Integration Repository: Both Outbound and Inbound Interfaces are Mapped with Value mapping and
Structure Mapping inside Integration Repository.
The File Adapter takes the File from the Outbound port of MDM System
and sends it as IDOC to Receiver Business System.
Value Mapping must be done between Sender and Receiver interfaces.
Value Mapping is done by XSLT or Java based program.
SAP NetWeaver XI Integration Server at runtime:
Message Split, Interface Determination, Receiver Identifaction, Mapping, Techincal Routing
and Call Adapter Proccess are done.
In SAP XI 3.0 and MDM 5.5:
Step 1: Create busines system as service.
Step 2: Create communication channel for each business service. If the system can communicate
through different channels, then create all possible channel types if necessary.
Step 3: Create receiver agreement between the systems.
Step 4: Interface determination:
- Here you see for the first time the software component mentioned;
there are some special requirements regarding this software component in relation to the customizing ID mapping.
- To modify this software component, the customer needs to copy the SAP standard delivered software component
into its own namespace. The customer is able to modify to create archives
for the customized ID mapping.
Receiver determination.
Configure an FTP Server on the MDS.
Create a send folder for outbound messages using outbound port(s) for
remote systems(s).
Create receive folder inbound messages using inbound port(s) for remote systems.
This ia all about concept of SAP XI Infractsture and its' Integration with SAP MDM 5.5.
Regards
Kaushik BanerjeeHi Kaushik,
You must be aware of File types that MDM Import Manager can Import i.e. we have XML, Excel etc. Now there are two transactions to extract data from R3
1. MDMGX -
- For lookup table extraction
- Output in XML format which MDM can import without using XI.
- FTP can be configured to put the file in the desired folder which will be then picked by Import Server.
2. MDM_CLNT_EXTR -
- For Main table records.
- Output is in Idoc format which MDM doesn't understand hence we need XI in between which converts Idoc file received from R3 into XML which can then be imported using Import Manager or Import Server. For this we need to implement XI Scenario that consists of Source System, Receiver System, Type of Data etc.
Just a basic understanding...

Autodiscover not working correctly when Office 365 integrated with Server Essentials 2012 R2
Hello!
This last weekend I setup our server as new and to ease the creation of users, integrated with our Office 365 (which to this point has worked fine) and imported the users. This had a somewhat unexpected side effect in that the import used the email address
as for the user forename and then synced that change back to Office 365 and so needed to enter this information back in on the dashboard which synced back to Office 365. This may or may not have any relevance to our issue below.
I should also point out that we have our own domain name so within the original Office 365 setup we had just one .onmicrosoft.com user with all the rest setup with our own domain name.
At the weekend when it came to the client install, Outlook (2010 or 2013) would fail on the autodiscover with it asking again for credentials but critically displaying a server name of .contoso.com rather than the office365srvr.contoso.com . As I mention,
Office 365 had been operating fine for some time and DNS records where checked and have been set for sometime. I spoke to Office 365 support and after a while come up with a temporary solution (so that I could complete the client installs) of assigning each
user a onmicrosoft address, using that in the new account wizard to pick up the server correctly and then signing in the the Office 365 .contoso.com credentials.
This worked OK to get us past the weekend (although I am having to reset up profiles on quite number of users where they get disconnected but with no credentials box appearing) but isn't a solution. The clients do not see public folders or their archives
and of course we don't want to keep having to reset the profiles.
I'm think that there must be something in the internal network that needs reconfiguring but I don't know what. I have tried pointing the client to an external DNS server just in case the internal DNS server was throwing the autodiscover out but this has
made no difference.Ah - solved my own problem.
Despite the domain DNS record looking OK and the Office 365 Portal domain checker not highlighting any issue, it looks as though the autodiscover is picking up an imap account provided by the web host.
I've added an alias on the local DNS server to point to the Office 365 autodiscover server and this has solved the problem. -
Best practices for apps integration with third party systems ?
Hi all
I would like to know if there is any document from oracle or from your own regarding best practices for apps integration with third party systems.
For example, in particular, let's say we need customization in a given module(ex:payables) need to provide data to a third party system, consider following:
outbound interface:
1)should third party system should be given with direct access to oracle database to access a particular payments data information table/view to look for data ?
2) should oracle create a file to third party system, so that it can read and do what it need to do?
inbound:
1) should third party should directly login and insert data into tables which holds response data?
2) again, should third party create file and oralce apps will pick up for further processing?
again, there could be lot of company specific scenarios like it has to be real time or not... etc...
How does companies make sure third party systems are not directly dipping into other systems (oracle apps/others), so that it will follow certain integration best practices.
how does enterprise architectute will play a role in this? can we apply SOA standards? should use request/reply using Tibco etc?
Many oracle apps implementations customizations are more or less directly interacting with third party systems by including code to login into respective third party systems and vice versa.
Let me your know if you have done differently and that would help oracle apps community.
thanks
rrb.you want to send idoc to third party system (NONSAP).
what kind of system is it? can it handle http requests
or
can it handle webservice?
which version of R/3 you are using?
what is the mechanism the receiving system has, to receive data?

Siebel SSO Integration with Novell eDirectory
I am wondering if anyone on this forum has worked with integrating a SSO solution using Novell eDirectory and Siebel. I have personally worked on SSO integrations with Siebel using Cleartrust and Siteminder and they are all basically the same concept however, I am facing issues trying to get the Novell SSO solution to work with Siebel.
I am using the standard LDAP Security adapter and I can make a basic connection into Siebel using LDAP. When implementing SSO I am using a "header" value and a custom userspec name that is different then then "Remote_Use" name mentioned in the Siebel SSO documentation. With SSO turned on I am successfully able to authenticate and almost get all the way into the home page of Siebel before the IE browser crashes. The SWSE log files, interestingly enough, show that my userspecsource is equal to header and that my userspec is correct and then I see the SISNAPI connection occurring between the Siebel We Server and the Siebel AOM but then after the IE browser crashes I see the SWSE log which then tries to picks up Siebel's default userspec " Remote_User" value which is not confiugred or turned on anywhere from within the application. I was just wondering if anyone else had faced similar issues when integrating Siebel into Novell eDirectory for SSO. I have also reviewed the configuration on Novell's side and they are protecting the correct object manager and are also using the same exact userspec name as what we have defined within the eapps.cfg of Siebel. We are using Siebel 8.1.1 Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated as I have not gotten much support from my open SR on this issue.I am wondering if anyone on this forum has worked with integrating a SSO solution using Novell eDirectory and Siebel. SAP HR Integration with KRONOS
Hi All,
Am looking for information on SAP Time mgmt integration with KRONOS time clock application. I understand that there are tools available in SAP HR for a seamless integration with KRONOS application (KRONOS being a certified ISV provider); So how does this work out? is there any documentation on how this can achieved etc?
regards
ChandraChandra,
We went with Kronos as our consulting partner at the time indicated as you said that they were SAP certified and it would be a seamless integration with standard IDOCS. That was very far from the truth and to this day we would love to get rid of Kronos in favor of a true dummy clock system for collecting IN/OUT punches simply.
In the end we had to custom code an interface to send a MINIMASTER (employee data) file to the Kronos server via FTP as well as an interface to create a flat .txt file containing the punch data on the Kronos server that gets picked up and processed via PI (or XI to some) and then processed as an IDOC that eventually become 2011 records. We used 3 developers in house as well as having to retain a consultant to do the interfaces on the Kronos server. In the end it works pretty well but the support from the Kronos side has been awful and when we wanted to clear up some of the SQL punch tables we where told by Kronos we would have to purchase a separate archiving product. Instead I wrote a custom delete program. It was a huge project and cost and took more time than anyone anticipated. The only good thing I guess I could say Is we have been able to use the same IDOC and PI interface to process punch files we have coming from other countries clock systems.
But personally here in the US we did not have a good experience with Kronos and still have unresolved issues with license/support fees today.
Good luck,
Martha. -
DO integration with other modules
Hello Gurus,
When delivery is created, this means , it can be saved without picking packing or pgi or it can be pgi just done.
When this is created, why is there no integration with MM? for example , when PGI, the stock count is it reduced in MM?
So, it should reduce MM stock but not Reserve MM stock in this situation?
Also, how is it integrated to PP?
Will the delivery place demand in PP when it is created? Should the demand not already placed at time of order creation?
regards
M RussoFirst of all, please dont get confused with the postings happening in SAP with each module.
SAP has distinguished different modules for easy way of operation and to have certain control over the related activities. Having said this, you cannot treat (assuming that you intend to say unrestricted stock) the stock as MM. In fact, MM activities would come to an end once they inward any component and made the relevant FI / Excise postings. Subsequent to this, PP activities starts where only, the stock will be posted to unrestricted subsequent to which SD activity starts.
why is there no integration with MM
There is an integration with MM/PP once you create a sale order which is based on customization in OVZG and VOV6.
Based on the above settings, stock will get reserved to either sale order or delivery.
thanks

Aperture remove integration with address book and faces
Is there a way to remove the Faces integration with address book?
Reason I ask is because there seems to be not a good way to integrate the faces with the address book unless there is? For example, in faces I probably have about 20 that are family and close friends. In my address book, I have maybe 200 contacts. When I face people in pictures, I don't want to choose from a list of 200. Plus I notice if I have a friend tagged already, they show up as my friend John, but show up in the list from address book as John B, so who do I pick? How can I just make it one? There are many people that I would want nicknames in faces for or like "Dad" instead of my dad's full name like I have in the address book.
Is anyone else having these issues? How to best integrate with address book or how do I remove the integration?Even if I attempt to integrate the faces with address book by typing in the full name in the faces after click "i" in the face, then it combines it, but then the address book face disappears to blank with no picture.
very odd behavior, how are you guys dealing with this? Seems like some setting needs to be set otherwise I would think this issue would have been taken care of a long time ago by apple? -
OIM 9.1.0 Integration with Active Directory 2008 R2
Hi,
My customer is running Root/Child AD structure based on windows 2003 w/SP2, OIM 9.1.0 deployed under one of the child domains, and integrated with child domains controllers which runs windows server 2003 as well.
My customer has decided to upgrade his AD to Windows Server 2008 R2 domain controllers across the entire AD Forest and still wants to integrate the current OIM v9.1.0 with AD for all of his Users provisioning and password synchronizations.
Am not sure if current OIM version of OIM 9.1.0 is compatible and supported by OIM v9.1.0 under active directory version 2008 / R2, and not sure if it can be integrated with such AD version.
Any guidance is really appreciated.
Also I was thinking of such scenario but also not sure of its support ability and if OIM will keep working on such scenario, the scenario is to upgrade only the AD root domain to Windows 2008 R2 while keeping the child domain holding the OIM 9.1.0 at Windows 2003 version.
Is this a working and supported scenario by OIM v9.1.0 ?I believe you question should be if the connector supports this architecture. Check out the versions supported for the connector you are using and you should be good.

Service desk integration with 3rd party tool
Hi all,
I've problems understanding the setup of connecting a 3rd party service desk tool with solman itsm.
So far it's clear that I need to activate and configure the service provider and consumer in soamanager.
The webservice then will be called by the 3rd party tool with corresponding data.
However, according to spro I need to define a value mapping for incoming/outgoing calls.
I do not understand this mapping... the WSDL of webservice ICT_SERVICE_DESK_API contains lots of fields, but in spro -> value mapping I can only define the following fields (which are hard coded in type pool AIICT):
SAPCategory
SAPComponent
SAPDatabase
SAPFrontend
SAPIncidentID
SAPIncidentStatus
SAPInstNo
SAPOperatingSystem
SAPSoftwareComponent
SAPSoftwareComponentPatch
SAPSoftwareComponentRelease
SAPSubject
SAPSystemClient
SAPSystemID
SAPSystemType
SAPUserStatus
What about attachments, priority etc.?
Will the interface parameters mapped to these ones?
For what purpose do I need to maintain the value mapping?
Can you give me a hint?

Java Stack mandatory for a SAP BI system integrated with EP?
Hi Guru's,
Currently we are using SAP NetWeaver 2004 s version 7.0 system for our BI.
This is integrated with the EP. But our BI system does not contain the Java Stack installed.
When we work on WAD templates and execute the template, it is automatically directed to EP portal where we can see our reports.
Here my question is do we need Java Stack for this system to use ADOBE DOCUMENT services or can it work with EP only for the web functionalities.
Any info on this is of great help.
Best Regards
KumarHI Reddy,
We came to know from our basis team that we do not have the Java Stack installed in our BI 7.x system yet.
As it is integrated with EP which has Java, our web reports are working.
1) But my question is still do we ned to install the Java Stack in our BI system as i do not find any Export to PDF option in EP for the reports (eventhough AS Java supports this).
2) Or can we use the existing configuration without Java STack integrated to EP for the new tools like Report Designer and Integrated Planning?

Session keep Alive when EBS is integrated with OIF acting as SP
We have an E-Business Suite R12(12.1.3) Application which is integrated with Oracle Access Manager 11.1.1.5. For authentication the Oracle Access Manager delegates the authentication request to Oracle Identity Federation acting as a Service Provider (SP). There is a home-grown SSO which acts as the Identity provider by Federating it with OIF using SAML 2.0 protocol.
The integration is successful and EBS is able to authenticate using this third party SSO.
Now there are multiple applications which are integrated with this third party SSO and the user can access any of these applications including EBS.
Considering a scenario where a user is using EBS Application say for more than 30 mins. Now when he tries to login to another application the challenge screen is thrown though he can continue to work on EBS without any issue. The reason being that the session timeout on the IDP side is set to 30 mins.
To overcome this issue the solution that has been thought of using a javascript for each page load on the application which will update the SSO token with the latest UTC time on the IDP server. This has been successfully done for all other applications except EBS.
So my question is how we can call this java script for each page load for EBS?
Thanks & Regards
SarbashisIt appears that OAM is removing the url parameters for the p_done_url sent to it by OIF.
302 Redirect to -> Location: https://sso.mycompany.com/oam/server/logout?p_done_url=https%3A%2F%2Fsso.mycompany.com%2Ffed%2Fuser%2Fsloosso%3Fid%3Dosso%26type%3D3&invokeOSFSLogout=false
Result: 200. Set-Cookie OAM-ID to expired.
Form Submits: https://sso.mycompany.com/fed/user/sloosso
Result: 500 Error
Notice the p_done_url value in the redirect has extra parameters which when the Form is submitted are lost.
If I manually enter the url: https://sso.mycompany.com/fed/user/sloosso?id=osso&type=3&invokeOSFSLogout=false
Then I am successfully logged out.
This seems almost like a bug in OAM...
