Pictures from LR to I-movie...HELP, please! :)
Hi all.
First post here. You seem to all be so helpful that I know I will get a quick reply!
I know I can't export photos from Lightroom into I-movie, but that I drag them into it, right?
So, 2 important questions regarding that: 1) How do I highlight more than one picture? The way you can highlight lots in any program with pix to import, etc. I try "right clicking" and nothing happens. PLEASE dont tell me I have to do things one by one in LR.
ALso, what is the simple way to make LR3 smaller? it fills my whole screen on my Macbook and I cant drag and drop if it isnt half a screen. Silly me, pretty basic, right?
Lastly, just in case...have any of you used Vimeo? I would like to try importing my I-movies into that to share and have no experience. Do photo montages look as clear as other sites ( better than You-tube, et?)

1. See the Lightroom manual for multiple selecting on non-contiguous items. The manual is clear, the operation is simple. But I wouldn't do that.
2. Adjusting the Lightroom workspace screens is easy and it is also clearly explained in the manual. Grab that little doodad in the lower right corner.
3. Vimeo's uploading specifications are available at the site. Your mileage will vary with your ability to use the specifications and which compression or transcoding application you use.
There are perhaps ten ways to get stuff out of LR into iMovie, here's one. Decide what image format and size you want to work with in iMovie (see the iMovie manual or ask other iMovie users). Create a new empty collection in LR and name it "Export to iMovie." Drag images, one at a time or in groups, from your other collections into the Export collection or onto the Export icon. When you've got the photos you want in the Export collection, select all and choose your export settings.

I tried to download my pictures with my memory card from my camera (this has always been sucessful) however the pictures would not download, and appear to be encrypted and unable to view, also not saved in my 'Iphotos' This also erased the pictures from the memory card. Help.....anyway of retrieving them?
With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
did you get a message when trying to import from the memory card?
did you use a card reader?
what was you exact workflow for attempting the import?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library? See image below:
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

having trouble syncing/downloading contacts & calendar & tasks from outlook 2010 to iphone4s help please.
I had the identical problem. I still don't know how to sync the tasks, but here's how I did the contacts and calendar:
1. Connect the 4s to the computer.
2. Open iTunes.
3. Click the iPhone box in the upper right corner.
4. Click on the info tab.
5. Hit the checkbox Sync Contacts with... and choose Outlook from the dropdown box.
6. Ditto for Calendars.
7. Hit Apply.
My problem was that originally, I wasn't getting the checkboxes. I turned off the iCloud settings on the 4s. That did the trick. -
i am currently using final cut pro 6 and i have a problem that i can not to do a play out to the dvcam but i can record from the dvcam, can you help please?
I believe there is no "Export to Tape" feature as appeared in legacy FCP.

Should be able to go into your sound preferences and choose your output device, you can also try downloading Airfoil and try that, it's a pretty cool app.

companies help users in setting up sites. There are different options. You can setup sharepoint on amazon and then use third party software to copy sites to new location. Delete sites from rackspace after the migration is over.

I purchased Adobe Acrobat (latest version) and installed on my mac.
It worked momentarily and then disappeared from my machine. The mac software is OS X 10.8.2
I have tried to redownload but the Adobe site says the program is installed.

I keep losing the music from my iTunes library. Help please!!!
For some reason when i shut my iTunes down the next time i open it all of the songs have gone from my library. I can restore them from my itunes music folder but i do not know why this is happening and its really starting to annoy me. Any help please?????
That happens when the itunes database file doesn't get saved properly. By design, if itunes can't find a valid database file, it makes a new blank one.
iTunes Library.itl is the name of the file.
Is this on a Sony Vaio? There is a well-known bug with some bad sony software that erases the itunes database file. There are also problems with some ant-virus/security software packages not letting itunes save that file. -
Hi everyone! I'm in need of extreme help. You see, today, two months ago I went out of the country from the United States of America. I took about 1500 pictures ONLY on my iPod touch. When I returned to the United States to my home, I accidentally deleted a little more than 100 pictures. Then, thinking I could get ALL of the pictures back at once, I restored my iPod touch from an iCloud backup I had a couple of days before. Instead of getting all of my pics back, they all got erased. The pictures that I did delete were deleted from Camera Roll AND Photo Stream (iCloud). Then, I was only able to get about 500 pictures back from iCloud. So about 1000 are still gone. When i did the restore, I thought all my pictures would be there, but they weren't and I couldn't possibly figure out why; because a restore from iTunes or iCloud is supposed to restore your device to the settings of the time you backed up your device. All of my other settings were just the way they were supposed tone for the time being, all except my pictures, which contained not one picture in any folder. So EVERYTHING from Cameta Roll was gone, and only about 500 pictures survived. I kept retoring and restoring, hoping they would come back but unfortunately they didn't. Then one time a restored again, I saw all of them back!! But then, within a blink of an eye, they disappeared as soon as I tapped on one picture. Then, I knew they were still in reach, but I just had to find them. Where could those 1000 pictures go? I looked up how to recover deleted photos, but I have to install a software. My computer CANNOT possibly take anymore software on it, my PC is very sensitive and I cannot delete anything off of it. Please please help me. What can I do to get my pictures back? They are memories that I can never EVER EVER get back. Thank you so much.

I hope someone can spare some time to help me resolve a problem I have.
My wife has made a file in imove consisting of pictures, video and music. We then burned a DVD in toast 7 ( DVD video setting). It plays fine on PC but wont in front row ( the first page is there but it wont play any further). Has anyone any idea what we have done wrong.

PeteWhy don't try burning the movie using iDVD. Just go to iMovie menu and choose share -> iDVD. Burn it right from iDVD and try. I am not sure about Toast.
