Pictures in Posts.

Hey Everyone!
I've noticed that some people put pictures in their posts to clarify what they mean. How are they doing this? When I drag and drop a pic into the text area I get a long piece of text just explaining where it is on my computer.

You'll need to upload the picture file to a server somewhere, such as the web space your ISP provides or one of the many free image-hosting services available.
Then, using the URL that is the link to your image's location (which image hosting services will provide to make this easier), use this HTML to place the image in your post:
<img src="URL" height="X" width="Y" alt="description" />
X = the height of your image in pixels
Y = the width of your image in pixels
description = a short text description of your image (not absolutely necessary, but a good habit in HTML coding)

There is a section titled "Images" about half way down the page. Basically it says that you have to post the images somewhere else and point to that URL in your post.

Getting my podcast picture to post up!

Along similar lines. I've created a podcast in iWeb. Iweb is great podcast editting software (although I like Podcast Maker too) but iWeb does the trick! ONE HUGE PROBLEM. My main image doesn't register. The only way it registers is if I make a new podcast and then have to migrate over all those individual files from scratch to teh new podcast. do I really have to do that?
Also the author (on itunes) still shows up as unknown.
I'm thinking if I start a new podcast in iweb it does register the picture but then have to transfer over everythign.

Forgive me for my ignorance, are you talking about iWeb or Garageband? Garageband has the section for episode artwork in the program. If you do not fill in those pictures, then the episode art will be blank. Whenever I have created a podcast in Garageband, I just then click the Share > Send Podcast to iWeb and everything pops over. Click on the 'Info' button in the bottom right of the Garageband screen and it will identify the Author listed. This is pulled from the name you entered during registration I believe.
This is for Garageband - not iWeb. I do not know the answer for iWeb

Pictures not posting correctly

When I upload my iweb published page to the web, the pictures displayed on the live site are different from the ones that are supposed to be there. they display correctly in the iweb program on my computer, but not when i upload. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try the following:
1 - close iWeb.
2 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
3 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
4 - launch iWeb and republish the entire site.

Motion sequence - when rendered in FCP goes blurry.example picture in post

Im having a strange problem.
Im creating a 20 sec intro graphic sequence in Motion in the PAL format to go into my FCP sequence. When I export and bring into FCP - the video as expected is unrendered and the picture looks sharp-like it did in Motion. However - when I render - it becomes a little blurry (nice technical term...)...
Ive tried using all 3 field dominance settings on Export from Motion - no difference...
When I watch the Intro graphic .mov in the viewer outside the sequence - it looks good quality as it did...so how come when rendering it is loosing so much?

I am having problems with certain pages on our churches website. It is the pages where pictures are posted. Any ideas what can cause this?

Our church website has 2 links with pictures. I am not able to click on the link and see them. This is the only site I have a problem with. I have tried to change my settings but nothing seems to help.

Do you ave ad-blocking software or use an extension like Adblock Plus?
If a link has '''ads''' (uplo'''ads''') in the file path then that is the first to check.

Xperia z2 posting pictures to Facebook

when i take a picture and post it to facebook it posts other pic ive taken previously as well can i stop this?

I can't figure out how to attach a picture to a post.

Some times it would just be easier to answer a question with a screenshot. I've noticed some pictures in posts but can't figure out how to do it.

To post an image in  Discussions, create a Screen Shot of the image you wish to post.
Upload the image to an online storage facility, like one of these linked to below.
Flickr
ImageShack
PhotoBucket
PICVAULT
Twango
Then use HTML formatting, to insert the URL of the location.
Use this format <img src="Insert URL Here">
Post the resulting line of text.
Keep the images small, and unobtrusive, when possible.
You can also just post a Link/URL, to the image location, using either of these formats:
<a href="Insert URL Here">Type Title Here</a>
<img src="Insert URL Here">
Or use Skitch.

Picture post failure on Edge

i am running into this problem on MsEdge the browser for windows 10 and i am unable to provide the picture to upload from my pc and i had to exit and then go to internet explorer to do this and here is the Screen Shot to show you what it is doing from the Screen Shot it will show you the faded after clicking " insert image "

When I try to printe a photo from my Pictures library it says printer won't print, is not connected Etc. Yet if I ask it to print a document it does fine. What is the problem?

I have a number of photos in my picture library. The printer is a Dell V510 series and was purchased last June with a new computer. It tells me to connect USB, it is and several other things which are all connected. In my picture library are some printed documents. When I ask it to print them it does. Also when I received a picture by email or download my camera I never know where it is going to put the picture. I never had a problem with my Windows XP however Windows 7 doesn't seem to do what I want it to. The instructions that came with it are almost useless. I am not a technical person, but neither am I new to the computer. Thanks

Yes, as long as it is words, but when I want to do a picture it refuses. The pictures library is part of Window 7. The help program just said to be sure it was connected, power was on to it, unplug and replug, then restart my computer. I did all that. I prints photos that are in other programs. When I first started with 7 I didn't understand how it worked and some pictures were posted in documents. Those pictures print. Windows 7 seems to put the pictures where ever it wants them. I have Picasso on my computer and it doesn't pick up any of the pictures in the pictures library. So I still can't get Firefox to print pictures.

No picture with Quicktime

Can anyone help, I can go to the Quicktime site and download movie trailers and play them no problem, if there is a help video on the Apple site or someone else when I run the video I get no picture. On some sites inc Apple before I run the video If I hold down ctrl and mouse click I get the option to open in Quicktime this works, however f the only option is open link in new file or download link file it does not work, I get sound a black box the bar across the bottom moving but no picture.

Please post a sample link/URL for users to test.

Different picture than opened on iphoto

When I click to view a picture in iphoto it is not the same picture as it was before when you see the multiple pictures, and when viewing just a picture that I didnt click on, it shows the one I clicked on the timeline which is not the same one Im viewing. After closing iphoto and restarting the comp and importing diffrent ways it keeps happening. On second picture Im posting, picture on timeline is a portait and shows as landscape and started going wrong there (even after trashing it) but also on other random spots. Any ideas on how to fix?

Also when I was putting some of the photos from SD card of canon they had the same name, IMG_511.JPG(first sc card) and again IMG_511.JPG(other sd card). and after hitting keep both it turned a new one to IMG_511 2.JPG. (with both locked and unlocked pictures) I coundnt pinpoint if that was the problem because they didnt stand out on the pictures that were not the same in the diffrent views on iphoto where the problem is.
Is there a reason why only 1 of 2 pictures never show the image when viewing in a folder?
Im going to try what you said but just want to figure it out so if it happens again.

Or use Preview. How to use Preview for Basic Image Editing: Crop, Rotate and Resize

How do I unblock all the profile photos on my Facebook page after I tried to block just one posting address?

I left clicked on the picture message posted on Facebook, right clicked and selected 'Block Images from vthumb.ak.fbcdn.net' to delete that particular image. Then at the tool bar it said Mozilla Firefox will now block all images from vthumb.ak.fbcdn.net and then all the profile photos disappeared from all of my facebook pages and friends and I can't even get the pictures of new friends when I search through Facebook. How can I unblock them? Please help!!!!

With Facebook on display, click on the [[site identity button]] and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.

Adobe plash plug in crashes when I try to attach a picture from My Pictures

I am trying to attach a picture from My Pictures folder to an email. When I press attach files, it disappears quickly and I see the message that my "Adobe Flash Plug-in has crashed.
What do I do?
