I have a problem with iLife 09. iPhoto thinks I'm not connected to internet while I'm.
I'm using 3G connection via Sony Ericsson W890i. Every internet apps works correctly.
Any ideas?

It's beta open source software so I'm not surprised. It does't look to be too active a project, so I don't know if it will help or not but you might be maybe better off posting a bug report on their Sourceforge page here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/kompozer/

I have downloaded the trial of XI but still I cannot sign in to complete the downloaded

I have blocked the firewall and antivirus but still cannot sign in
it says my clock is not correct?

The path to this file on my Windows 8.1 computer is:
C:\Users\Steve\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
where my username is Steve.
Windows 7 will have the same sort of path. Windows XP won't.
AppData is a hidden system folder so it may be invisible in Explorer. Just go ahead and type in AppData in the Explorer address bar after you've clicked into your user folder and it should work.

Not seeing my internet connection

Ola, i have just swapped mac and my internet provider at the same time. My internet is working just fine and dandy but when i open my itunes its basically isn't seeing the internet connection I have so i cant update or go to the store. What am I missing? Where do i need to go and what do i need to do to get it to see it and work ok?

How about telling us what does happen? Do you get an error message? what does it say?
Chances are it's a simple network configuration issue on the server - maybe the wrong router address or some such. Knowing the actual failure state will go a long way to identifying if that's the case.

The pros all have that Ethernet adapter,... that should tell you something. An Ethernet restore via that "thing" makes restoring the OSX about 8X faster.
Its called a Gigabit Ethernet adapter for a reason.

Switch Between Apps shortcut doesn't work, tip won't go away

The only solution I could find for this is to move my mouse to the top left of the screen, but it doesn't work when I do. Therefore, whenever I have an app open, the ****ing tip to switch between apps won't leave my screen. Same thing for the tip that
shows me where the start button is, only when the tip isn't actually there, I can use the button without a hitch. Seriously frustrating considering I haven't had a computer for almost a week and this happened the moment I started it up.

Applications tab doesn't work - apps won't sync

I'm starting to go a bit bonkers. It's been a while since I updated iTunes, and the Applications tab still doesn't work right. Is it just me? I can't click on anything/manipulate anything in that part of iTunes. And when I download new apps through the app store and tell my iPhone to sync, it doesn't sync the apps, even though "Sync Applications" under the Applications tab is checked.
I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it. I've restored my iPhone. I've done both things a few times and you know what? Sometimes that makes it work. But if so, it only works one time. I can use the Applications window to check which apps I want synced and move things around onto different screens. But then if I click on another tab/navigate away from that window, it stops working. And I have to restore my iPhone again just to sync my apps.
Any suggestions? Help? Is it just me that's having this problem? Thanks...

Still not working... only when I restore my iPhone to factory settings and reupload everything do I get my new and updated apps and have a working Applications tab. Then, if I quit iTunes and open it again later, I can't manipulate/change anything under the Applications tab, and my apps won't sync with the rest of the stuff on my iPhone. So maybe the solution is to leave iTunes open and my computer on FOREVER.
I'm seriously getting ticked that this isn't working right. Anyone else have this problem? Or just scuttlebutt and me?

Working PC won't see working iPad

I'm an IT proffesional at a large school district that deploys ipads (and some ipad2s) to faculty and some students and this is surprisingly the first ipad problem I've come across that's stumped me.
I have a windows XP pro SP3 laptop with the latest itunes freshly installed.
I have an iPad running iOS 4.2.1, thats recently been wiped and redeployed.
I also have 1000s more computers and a 100s more ipads
Said Laptop/itunes won't see/autoluanch itunes when ipad is connected. It displays correctly as an apple ipad in device manager.
When I connect any other ipad it sees/autolaunches itunes as expected. Other ipad is also running 4.2.1.
When I connect that same ipad into a different PC (XP pro SP3 or Win 7 SP1) or MAC (snow leopard) running the lastest (or older) itunes, it sees/autolaunches itunes and I can proceed as normal.
What is it about this ipad/pc combination that refuses to let things work?
Yes, I reinstalled itunes
Yes, I tried other USB ports
Yes, I restarted both devices
Yes, i am using a standard set of settings on all ipads
Yes, the cable is known working
no, i will not reinstall windows
I'd prefer not to wipe the ipad

IPhoto won't see iPhone. No problem with iTunes. Please advise.

I have upgraded to iPhoto '11 v. 9.1.3 a few weeks ago. At some point since then I have noticed that my iPhone will not appear in iPhoto so I cannot import photos. I have tried all the obvsious ways around this but it's not coming up so I have no way of backing up my photos. Can't even get the Bluetooth route to work but that's another question! Have done all the usual such as re-starting both devices etc and nothing. I also recently had to do a restore on my phone and the problem may have happened since then. The phone appears in iTunes no problem.
Please advise as I have some lovely pics of my kids that I want to back up asap! Thanks

The most common cause of this issue is #1. Incompatible picture (received via email or downloaded from the Internet) in the camera roll and #2. Issues with the iOS (not up to date, damaged, etc). As you just did a restore we can probably eliminate #2.

Can't even get the Bluetooth route to work
iPhoto does not import images over Bluetooth from an iPhone that I am aware of. I certainly wouldn't recommend it given low data transfer rates of Bluetooth and the possibility of wireless interference were it possible.
Please advise as I have some lovely pics of my kids that I want to back up asap!
Email the desired images to yourself if you need them off the phone quickly.
Try using Image Capture to import your images. It is found in Macintosh HD > Applications > Image Capture.

And click on one of the pdf files it opens and shows the save a copy button when i click on it, it doesn't work, in the old versions of reader all went fine.
But on other websites i can open and save the pdf
When i press Ctrl -Shift - S, the following message appears

We've had all kinds of issues with this. If your user isn't a LOCAL ADMIN (and they shoudln't be) on the computer and the web browser is Internet Explorer, and the site has protected mode = ON in IE, and you have "display PDF in browser" enabled, you can kiss mouse wheel support, saving PDF's and some other things goodbye. It seems to be a permissions issue when you start to resrtict what the user and user mode applications can do.
If you disable the "display PDF in browser" option it works, but this breaks the DDE scripts on some websites.
If you make the user an ADMIN on the workstation, it works, but that is stupid and we shouldn't have to do that.
If you make the site a trusted site, or disable internet explorer sandboxing by eliminating protected mode support, it works, but again that is stupid - you shoudln't have to trust every site you want to print/save a stupid PDF from. And besides, Adobe even thinks sandboxing is important, they just implemented protected mode support. We shoudln't have to disable it in another product to get this one to work!
Really hoping that someone at Adobe will get a clue and start making something that works with corporate machines that have limited user rights, and UNC path folder redirection and roaming profiles, and print drivers that need to be used to render the document to print correctly and etc...

I have trouble getting my new Apple TV 2 to work to the internet. I have an Imac with OsX 10.6.8 using a 3G modem to connect to the internet. I have a Time Capsule with Airport. I can't get the Apple TV to see my internet connection

I have tied to get Apple TV2 to see the inernet but it does not seem to see the inernet connection either via the Airport network or even if I connect it directly with a ethernet cable to the Timecapsule or the iMac.
I have tired to set up Home Sharing but it doen't see the Itunes Store so no go.
I don't have wired internet but it is probably something to do with using a 3G modem
Any tips on how I can check if the TV coonect to internet and what to do about this problem?
I was trying to connect my HD TV earlier using a WiFi USB modem but it could not see my iMac. Apple Support told me to buy an Apple TV but that is not helping as I can't see anything there either.

I have reset the printing system, a few times for good measure but nadda.
I have also looked at getting the software from the Apple site after seeing that with Snow Leopard you should let the operating system lead the install not the manufacteurers software as it is most likely out of date. I too found it wasn't there so I uninstalled the software got up the CLX_3300 series stuff then went from there with the USB cable. It apparently hasn't worked either
Unfortunately now after using the print utility to scan for a while that has now gone again on the last restart of the Mac. I am so completely clueless
The box says the printer is compatible, the place of purchase said it was compatible, the Samsung site says it is compatible.
I think it's the set up of my Mac? Our maybe a glitch in the network settings?

The wifi doesn't work at all. I tried everything besides restoring it to fix the problem and the back where the antenna is has been pushed in. It just loads like it's looking for wifi, but it doesn't find anything. Any ideas how to fix it? :/

Likely that the wifi antenna got damaged or disconected. The iPod has to be fixed.
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours. May not be wirh it for a 3G.
