Plan assessment cycle reversal

Hi Experts,
I have a problem with reversal. The situation is like this
1. I have two assessment cycles C1 and C2 which are to be executed in sequence. The cycle posts to some participating cost centers in cycle C2. These cost centers have their own costs as well.
2. Both the cycles are executed in sequence. When the cycle C2 is reversed, the amounts are not appearing in the sending cost centers of C2. The reversal documents are posted for very small amounts( residues in the cost centers after assessment eg. 0.01 and 0.03 etc.
Is there any restriction for reversal when multiple sequential cycles are involved? The transaction used is KSUB

Thank U for prompt response Ram000
I have been using these cycles for last 4 periods. When I reversed the cycle in KSUB, reversal documents are posted for the small amounts as I mentioned earliar. The earlier transferred amounts are not returned to sender cost centers.
When I try to reverse again, the system messages that the cycle is not run yet.
If I run the cycle again, there is no assessment as senders do not have any values.
By the way is there any way to get rid of the planning data (primary as well as secondary) for a period?
Both KP90 and KP91 are for a fiscal year.

    HI,
To reflect all the actual costs from Overhead Cost Controlling in Profitability Analysis, you need to transfer the cost center costs  which are not directly attributable to the production process. You can transfer these costs to any profitability segments you wish and thus assign them to any level of your contribution margin hierarchies.
That way you can assign them to the level that best reflects the cause of the overhead.
For example, you can assign the costs that arose in the marketing for a certain customer group to that particular customer group in CO-PA. Similarly, the fixed costs and the excess costs in production should be assigned to the products or product groups that caused these costs.
If you assess the overhead costs to Company Code level, then in your KE30 report these costs are available at Company code level which you can't drill down to lower level.
    Hope this helps.

  • Table FAGLFLEXT - Functional Area blank for plan assessment cycle (result)

    Hi all,
I have query regarding table FAGLFLEXT. We have plan data and need to report our plan data based on functional area and profit centres. Plan assessment was run and this is allocation from a cost centre to WBS.
In table FAGLFLEXT for this line items there's 2 lines created and in one of the line item the functional area is blank.
Is this a bug or is this standard SAP? Does anybody has experience on this table?
    thanks

Refer to note 1024480 and see if the situation applies to your system.

  • Exchange Rate Type not working during plan assessment in T Code KSUB

    Hello Experts
We had different exchange rate types created for different plan versions. We had Exchange Rate Type Z1 for Plan Version 01.
We had maintained the same in Planning settings for the fiscal year 2011.
We had created a new plan assessment cycle with version 1.
Now when we execute assessment cycle it is not using the exchange rate from 01/01/2011. Instead it is selecting the rate from 01/01/2010.
Is there something wrong when we copied fiscal year 2011 from 2010 for version 01.
Request your inputs and help on this.
    Thanks
    Satya Alapati

    Hi Ajay
    Thanks for the information.
We had not maintained the value date for any of our versions since we keep changing the rates for every period and wish to have the system pick the latest rate for the period.
It has been the case in earlier years also.
    Thanks

  • BAPI to create/change assessment cycle

    Dear ABAP expert ,
      Anyone can advise the BAPI
    - To Create cost center Actual/Plan assessment cycle (KSU1, KSU7)
    - To Change cost center Actual/Plan assessment cycle (KSU2, KSU8), in case the cycle already exist and user would like to update tracing factor or change parameter in the cycle.
We try to avoid BDC as the screen is very dynamic.
    Thank you

  • Assessment Cycle for Planned Cost

    Hi,
I have production cost centers and dept cost centers for which cost center planning has been maintained in KP06. I have maintained assessment cycle for planned costs with planned skf. When I run the cycle, system is apportioning the costs based on the factors maintained.
However on execution, without test tun, the system is posting the costs to the receiver cost centers as Actual Costs and not Planned Costs..
Can anyone tell me what is the reason?

    Hi,
Have you created ur assessment cycle in T.Code: S_ALR_87005540 - Define Assessment for Plan cost (or) S_ALR_87005742 - Define Assessment for Actual cost.  Assessment cycle execution t.code. KSUB for Plant cost posting. and KSU5 for actual cost posting.
If you define cycle in S_ALR_87005540, Please check have u select Plan (or) Actual Radio button

  • Document or report for assessment and reversed assessment?

    Hi guyz,
Is there any document or report for assessment and reversed assessment?
I need to find documentation as a proof for any execution and reversal of assessment, such as journal entry or report line items that is showing debit or credit for the expenses..
Currently, I can only see actual cost document which shows execution of assessment and an assessment cost element debit and credit in the Cost Center Actual/Plan/Variance report.
However, when I do reversal at KSU5, in the Cost Center A/P/V report is showing that assessment cost element is still exist (no more debit and credit showing as the result of the reversal), only that the value is now zero.
    Need your answer asap...Thanking you..

    Dear Meila,
Use tcode KSB1 Cost Center Actual Line Itens, execute then report and change the Layout, insert the field Business Transaction in the report.

  • COPA Assessment Cycle using KEU5 for multiple controlling areas

    Hello All,
There is an organization with operations in several countries. There is a separate controlling area for each country. There is one controlling area, for instance, for Germany and another for Netherlands.
A problem is encountered while executing transaction KEU5 for multiple controlling areas in parallel. For instance, when one user from Germany executes KEU5 for an assessment cycle for Germany controlling area and at the same time another user from Netherlands tries to execute KEU5 for a cycle for NL controlling area, the user from Netherlands encounters an error message u201C'Cycle XXXX 01.02.2008 cannot be started because run group 0000 is locked'.
Apparently SAP allows assessment cycles for exactly one controlling area to be executed together. This poses a problem since the organization plans to implement SAP in several other countries (There will be one separate controlling area for each country as per the organization structure adopted by the company).
Any ideas, views or suggestions on the aforesaid issue would be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Soumya

    Hi Soumya,
Did you find any text in SAP Documentation saying that "SAP does not allow cycles belonging to different controlling areas to be executed at the same time"...?
Pls find the following text from SAP Help...
Parallel Processing of Cycles of an Allocation Type
    Use
Parallel processing of cycles results in considerable time savings. To process cycles of one allocation type in parallel, they must be assigned to different cycle run groups.
You define the cycle run groups in the cycle header data. You also assign cycles to the cycle run groups in the header data.
To process the cycles of a cycle run group in parallel, start the cycles one after the other, if required, in different sessions.
You are carrying out a cross-company code cost accounting and want to perform the actual assessment in the individual company codes in parallel. Create a cycle run group for each company code and assign the appropriate cycles to these groups. You can then carry out the actual assessment in the individual company codes in parallel.
When you execute a cycle, you can start a consistency check. The system checks whether you are allowed to execute the selected cycles in parallel.
Though I didn't come across such requirement, I feel, my earlier suggestion will work out...

  • KSUB - Cost Center Plan Assessment

    Hi All,
I am doing a Plan Assessment for Cost Center in Trans KSUB and i need a Sender & Receiver Line items by Plant... I tried to use Filter but Plant is not present.
I will be glad if anyone can help me out..
    Thanks & Regards
    Ajoy

    Hi,
You can use only CO entities as senders/receivers, e.g. cost centres, internal orders, WBS, etc.
Plant is not a CO entity and therefore cannot be used as an object in assessment cycle.

  • Doubt in assessment cycle

    Hi All,
I have the following doubt in assessment cycle :-
Consider the following scenario. There are three cost centres :- D015, D020 and D025 .
An assessment cycle is being created where D015 is the sender  and D020, D025 are the receivers . A cost of 1,00,000 is assigned to the cost centre D015. As per the assessment cycle, the cost centres D020 and D025 will get 50% each of the cost that is assigned to cost centre D015. I created a secondary cost element 824030 and performed the assessment. After the assessment, when I reviewed the actual line item report in ksb1 transaction,  I found that under cost element 824030, each of the cost centres D020 and D025 had a cost of 50,000 each . Under cost centre, D015 the net amount after the assessment was 0 .
I created another secondary cost element 825030 and performed the assessment again with 825030 as the assessment cost element, with D015 as the sender and D020, D025 as the receivers of the assessment. As per this assessment cycle too, I maintained the same percentage ratio - cost centres D020 and D025 will get 50% each of the cost assigned to cost centre D015 .
After running the second assessment cycle, when I reviewed the actual line item report in ksb1 transaction, to my surprise, I found that under cost element 825030, cost centres D020 and D025 had 50,000 each . Under D015, the net amount was 100,000 - .
My question here is after performing the first assessment, when there were no costs in D015, how did a cost of 100,000 be allocated to cost elements D020 and D025 ?
In an assessment, costs are removed from one cost centre and placed to another cost centre. When there are no costs in a cost centre, how are costs being allocated to another cost centre.
    Regards,
    Sushanth Hulkod

    Hi,
My cost elements are different in my first and second assessment. In my first assessment, my cost element is 824030 and in my second assessment, my cost element is 825030 . In both the assessments, D015 is my sender and D020, D025 are my receivers.
When I ran the cost centres : Actual / Plan / Variance Report, the output that I see is :-
    Under D015 :-
Actual Costs            Plan Costs              Var.(Abs)           Var.(%)
    824030             100,000 -                                                 100,000-
    825030             100,000-                                                  100,000-
    Credit                200,000-                                                   200,000-
    Under D020 :-
Actual Costs            Plan Costs                Var.(Abs)           Var.(%)
    824030              50,000                                                    50,000
    825030              50,000                                                    50,000
    Debit                 100,000                                                   100,000
    Under D025 :-
Actual Costs            Plan Costs                Var.(Abs)           Var.(%)
    824030              50,000                                                    50,000
    825030              50,000                                                    50,000
    Debit                 100,000                                                   100,000
My question is in the second assessment, how is D015 assessing the cost to receivers D020 and D025 when it does not have any cost with it ?

  • Assessment cycle

Hi guys. I need help on how to create gl assessment cycle step by step.  I created a cycle using FAGLGA11 but i keep getting an error message that the sender and receiver doesn't exist. Is there something that I am missing. My goal is to do profit center assessment to transfer costs from one cost center(service)  to 8 cost centers (production) and post the costs into one GL account. Please help , its urgent. Thanks for your help.
Moderator: Please, read and respect the rules of SDN

    Hi Sridhar,
You have defined is ok, further you have to give the selections in the Receiver Tracing Factor - Reveiver Rule / Var portion type.
    You have the following options:
    1. Receiver Rule - You want to transfer the variable portions / fixed amounts / fixed % etc.,
    2. Var. Portion type - On what basis you want to split the sender amount from 201 to receiver cost center group Actual costs / plan costs / actual Statistical key figures / plan Statistical key figures.
Unless you dont do the selections it would not be able to identify the sender and receiver.

  • Assessment Cycle in Profit Center

    Hi,
    Need urgent help.
I'm running an Assessment Cycle for Profit Center but every time system does not select any sender or receiver.
    Error message:
Cycle 8ATEST1, start date 20070401, does not include any senders.
    Message no. GA749
    Diagnosis
No senders were found for cycle 8ATEST1, starting date 20070401.
    System Response
It is no longer possible to create receivers and assign senders for the segment.
    Procedure
Check the definition of the cycle in the maintenance transaction for EC-PCA: Actual Assessment. No valid sender cost centers could be found to match your selection.
If you use the sender rules "Posted amounts" or "Posted quantities", check whether records exist in the database for the criteria you entered (cost element, version...)
During indirect activity allocation with the sender rule "posted quantities", you should also note that only the difference between the planned/posted activity allocation and the scheduled activity quantity is allocated. If you entered activity types as sender, you should at this point also check the activity type category. For those quantities posted with an activity type of category 1 (manual entry, manual allocation) no indirect activity allocation is possible.
    1. If this is an allocation in the FI/FI-SL area, the problem could also be due to the inheritance logic for FI-SL totals tables, whose "Inheritance of sender based on the receiver" indicator is activated in the "Partner object update" view (T811U-INHERSRC). These are tables that were installed before Release 4.6A.
Use transaction GCA8 to check this, and see the section on:
    Inheritance Logic for Allocations
then correct the affected cycle, if required.
    Pls help urgently.
    Regards,
    Vikas Malhotra

    Hello ,
Did you double checked if any postings occurred to the respective profit centers in the cycle for that particular period you are executing??
    Thanks,

  • Assessment cycle  - how do retain a certain amount with the sender and allocate the balance

    Hello,
    This is the scenario
We currently use an assessment cycle to allocate some administrative costs from an admin cost center  to a few select cost centers.
Let's say admin cost center is X
Total plan cost for a period for X is $100
Total plan allocation is 70% of $100.
$30 of plan value will remain in the cost center X as a non-allocable plan cost
Let's say actuals for X for a period is $120
I would want to retain exactly $30 as the non-allocable value with X and allocate everything else that was actually posted.
So I want to allocate only $90 to other cost centers.
How can i set up this logic in an assessment cycle?

    Hi
    I see two possible ways
    1. Custom program using standard BAPI
    2. Use SKF, where
    Sender = CC X
    Receiver = CC X, Y and Z
    Receiver tracing factor - SKF
Skf qty will be 30 for X, 40 for Y and rest for Z. Skf qty of 30 for X will remain same every month

  • Assessment cycle- Transport

    Hi All,
The assessment cycles are configured in the Development system.  The transport created was released to integration and quality.  We found that the segment do not reflect the way it is in Development system.
We want to transport the configurations once again.
Can anyone tell how the cycle needs to be included in the transport?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Run TCode OKE5 - Transport : Controlling Settings
If your Assessment Cycles are Plan cycles then go to Planning2 tab, select Assessment. For actual cycles go to Actual postings 1 tab and under Cycles select Assessment.
Then click Include in Request (Shift+F6) button. All assessment cycles for your Controlling Area get included in the transport request.
If you do not want all to be transported, then Goto SE10 TCode and display the request. Then double click the task to select the objects. Double click on Table Contents and click Change button. Then delete the entries that you do not want. Save the request and release transport request.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
